I had to move my mother from Florida to Utah in a hurry. (about two weeks) She had fallen and broken a leg and had decided that she just couldn't do it on her own anymore. See my father passed about a year and a half ago and I am her only son. I contacted Truewood and was given a tour of the facility. I can not understate how clean everything was, even under remodeling conditions. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I worked with Dim and Gaylin to accomplish the goal of moving my mother in on a short timeframe. They were both wonderful to work with. A truly great experience!! All this during the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving. My mother has been there for about two weeks now and can't say enough about how great the place is. She loves the food and the sense of great community the facility has. She is very happy there and I am completely impressed and relieved that my mother is well taken care of.

Golden Living Taylorsville is an amazing senior living community. My service group Service Opportunities 101 has volunteered there multiple times playing games, making crafts, dancing, playing instruments, and simply visiting with them. They are one of the most involved organizations for seniors Ive seen and always have something fun for the seniors to do in their spare time. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a very bright, fun, and interactive community.

Everyone in this facility is very nice and caring. When I visited the facility, Ive heard good things said about this place by the residents. Good atmosphere there. Friendly staffs. The CNAs would stop what they were doing just to ask me if I need help when I needed it. The residents would come up to me and chat with me telling me how much they love living here and the appreciation they have for the caregivers at the facility.

Thank you Golden Living for taking such wonderful care of my sweet hospice patient in her last few previous weeks of life. As a hospice nurse Ive had patients in several assisted livings in the valley, this assisted living is a favorite! Golden Living was always very clean, and the staff was amazing! A big thank you especially to Brandi the care coordinator and to Brandi and Destri the awesome med techs for not only taking great care of my sweet patient but making sure I was ok as well as her nurse. I spent many hours here with my patient, especially in her final hours. I was so impressed with how accommodating the staff was to my patient and even to me, which wasnt necessary for me, but was so nice. You all were just fantastic, thank you! I would recommend Golden Living to my patients as well as to my own mother or grandmother.

My wife and I are residents at Golden Living. I was very grateful for the quick response by Aides and Nurses today when my wife fell. In less that 5 minutes there were 5 staff members in our room to examine and help her to her feet. Had we still lived in an apartment, 911 would have been our only choice. This is the safe place for us.

I just put my mom in Golden Living, so extremely hard! Katelen and everyone has made this experience so much less painful. Mom is still getting adjusted but I think will love it once she gets used to it.

Great community. The staff is very friendly, especially the marketing director Katelen, as a professional in the Industry its very easy to spot employees that truly care, and she is one of them. The community is kept clean, and the residents are treated very well and look very happy.

I am so glad that my mother-in-law is now living with the wonderful folks at Golden Living Center in Taylorsville. The love and care shown to her by the staff and other residents couldn't be more genuine. The food is tremendous, available throughout the day and with many choices, and I am constantly in awe of the varied and engaging activities and trips put together by Michelle and her colleagues. Their inventiveness is boundless. Kudos and warm thanks to the entire staff.

I have been to Golden Living several times for work and I have noted the great atmosphere and staff that work there, the residents living there are very upbeat and I enjoy every time I have the opportunity to visit. The facility is big enough to stroll around and they seem to always have activities going on for the people living there.

I had the privilege of being Sunnymere 's Executive Director for 18 years. It wasn't a job, it was a labor of love. I loved the residents and my staff. They were all about taking care of and loving the residents. I think about them often in my retirement, and I am so thankful to have had the privilege to work there and call it my second home. What an amazing facility! I visited here in September, where I was able to meet with the staff to discuss the benefits of using essential oils to improve the quality of life for residents. The staff was very welcoming and professional and receptive to the information. We discussed the possibilities of diffusing essential oils as well as utilizing the Aromatouch hand technique. Training the staff in this technique has given them an additional tool to provide increased circulation, relief from pain and the comfort of touch to many of the residents. I was able to sit in on a few activities with the residents and it seemed like those who participated had a wonderful time interacting with each other and the staff. I have been to other Assisted Living Facilities and I am impressed with everything that I experienced at Golden Living Taylorsville.

I recently had the opportunity to visit with the residents, families and staff at Golden Living Center in Taylorsville Utah. I am Santa Claus, and I was privileged to join in the Christmas party, sing some carols, and visit with lots of wonderful children and adults. The golden Living Center is a beautiful facility and the residents and families all seem very happy and excited with the events and activities that are available. My first experience stepping into Golden Living was so refreshing. Within in my job I visit many different Assisted Living Facilities and the biggest thing I look out for is the vibe I get from their residents. I was given a tour through the building and was not only greeted by the staff with smiles but observed all of the Residents to be happy and enjoying their day! All of the residents seemed to be involved in their little community and it was extremely uplifting knowing they were having such good quality of life. Seeing this speaks volumes of what the care must be like from the staff at Golden Living! I would say it is worth your time to consider yourself or your family member to be a part of Golden Living!

It is never an easy decision to look for assisted living for those we hold dear. Golden Living made it very easy, however. Their facility is pleasant and affordable. The staff is incredible. They helped to make the transition seamless and easy. Wonderful attitudes and helpful people make this an amazing community. I have never had to worry about my mother's care and applaud Golden Living for their dedication to ensuring that this is not a facility, but a home for my mother.

Life events in my moms life forced us to look into assisted living facilities. We had searched many places, but when we found Golden Living, we knew our search was over. There were many things that drew us to a Golden Living. It was in an area mom was already familiar with, her original home was not far from there. She knew some of he residents, the room accommodations allowed her to have her same furniture that she was used to from her own home, and the management staff was caring and understanding. It is the most stressful time in a child's life to make the decision to place their mom in an assisted living facility, but we have never regretted the decision. From the moment we brought mom to the facility, the staff have gone t of their way to make mom feel at home, even if mom's attitude was not always pleasant. Whenever we have suggested ideas in the routine care conferences, we have always seen the suggestion implemented. I appreciate the care and concern they show for mom. I have truly appreciated the honesty from the staff when it comes to what is best for mom, they have become part of the family. The activities are varied and so there is something for everyone, the food is amazing! If you are in the search for a wonderful, homey atmosphere, look no further. Thank you Golden Living!

First, I have never walked into an assisted living facility and felt so welcome. When you arrive at Golden Living Taylorsville, you will see quickly that the residents are well taken care of. When I arrived, the lady at the front desk was so informative and genuinely friendly. I then met Emily VonGunten, the executive director, she explained to me how they view care and that they treat each and every resident as family. She knows how to facilitate care on a level that is extremely rare in assisted living facilities. I had the pleasure of speaking with some of the staff and was impressed that they all had a very similar view about their family. Shauna Stimson, the community relations director, goes out of her way to help people. Shauna is energetic, friendly, and very caring about everyone in the facility. Finding a place for yourself, mom, dad, or relative that is clean, welcoming, and provides phenomenal care, can be an extremely difficult thing to accomplish. Golden Living knows how to care and has the resources to help you plan financially for that care. If I were in a situation where I was forced to find an assisted living facility, I would be happy to call this place my home.

The family is moving Mom & Dad from another facility. During the interview and tour, I became convinced, from past experience, that while providing essentially the same services, the Staff at Senior Star is even more resident-focused than any of the other facilities we've visited or lived in. This is my impression before moving in March 29, 2017. I will update this review as time goes on but I expect only to be more glowing in my report.

Our staff has been Fortunate on several occasions to come in and give care in regards to HH and hospice needs. What separates Golden living from other facilities is simply the staff!! This staff really cares about their residents and they work as a team and they communicate great. We feel because of these positives it directly benefits the residents quality of life and health and happiness and we love it. Golden Living is a great place and We would recommend them to anyone!

I visit Golden Living frequently providing home health care to several residents and have heard so many positive things from my patients. The clinical staff are excellent - - they communicate well and respond to emergent situations effectively. The care coordinator and facility nurse are competent, friendly and always up to date on the care of each resident. The facility is clean and in good working order. Ive even heard good things about the food! So, for an assisted and independent living facility I would have to give Golden Living 5 stars.
