Excellent! The entire staff was focused on making our mom's life as comfortable as they possibly could. The CNA's, medtechs, kitchen staff, admin staff, maintenance team, cleaning staff, (and anybody else I might have forgotten) were top-notch! The food is very good, there are lots of activities, the building is kept clean and well-maintained. The two small things we noticed as we were moving her in were repaired before we finished the move. Our mom originally moved into the assisted living side of the building, but as her health deteriorated we found it necessary to move her to the memory care side. Not because she had a little dementia, but because she needed the additional physical assistance that they could provide over there. The staff truly seems to care a lot about the residents. Mom's biggest complaint two weeks after she moved in: "Everybody is TOO nice!" 1 star, Mom??

My mother had come down with dementia, it was to much for the family to care for her needs. I was so proud that she was able to enter the Legacy house of Taylorsville. The care she received was 24 / 7 . The aids the nurses all fantastic. Knowing that my mother was around people her age and condition made things feel right. Great food, always entertainment for the residence. It brought pride to my life Knowing I could visit with my mother in private or among her friends, the other residence. My mother became very ill and past away. The center was so great through her passing. Although it hurt with a passion it was very private and special. Legacy House does great job helping with our loved ones. I am so proud of my father for making it possible for my mother to live out her last year in such a special place. Thank you Legacy House for helping my family come to peace

Rooms I would give a 4 star. Facility I would give a 5 star. The front desk, aides and servers are great, but the chef drags this place to a 0. Repeatedly serves cold un edible food. Always out of food even when it's the main item on the menu. Not a one time issue. Serious ongoing problem.

Legacy House of Taylorsville has been a premier Assisted Living community that has been serving the west side of the Salt Lake Valley since 2004. During this time they have provided excellent "Personal Touch" service to more than 700 residents in the past 15 years. A good part of the staff have been there for more than 5 years with the management personnel having been in place for an average of 8 years. Their compassionate approach to care for their residents sets them apart from many communities in the area. I would highly recommend them. Our parents recently passed away after living there for 2 1/2 years. During their time there, they were treated with love, respect and. compassion. In their final weeks and days, the love shown to them was unmatched. We were overwhelmed with joy and gratitude during these tender times. There are far too many associates to name but we want to recognize Jose, Kari, Jamie, Jen, and Michele. We would recommend LHT to all people who are looking for a kind and loving environment that will serve their residents in all aspects of life. We are forever in your debt

Earlier this year my aunt was overcome by many health issues, resulting in numerous hospital visits and rehab stays. After 3 months of being in and out of nursing homes she had had enough and decided that it was time to find a place she could call home. Our family was familiar with Legacy and have had friends that recommended them but we wanted to really make sure we helped her select the perfect home. Our family toured many assisted livings around the south/west side of the valley. Legacy House of Taylorsville made our decision easy. From the moment of contact with Michele and Jamie, we knew this was the place! We couldn't believe how kind, understanding and genuine they were. Throughout our experience, their whole team continued to just blow us away with not only the exceptional care they provide but for all their meaningful and thoughtful acts of kindness. This love and kindness was not only felt by my aunt but by me and my family as well. When we visit, it is like walking into the home of family and friends. They truly love and care about all of us. To everyone at Legacy, on behalf of our entire family, we graciously and sincerely thank you.

My aunt lived at Legacy for a long while until she passed away. She received excellent care and enjoyed all the staff. They were very kind and caring and she formed a bond with many of them. She was comfortable in her apartment and made it her home. Many of the care givers and other staff attended her funeral which was meaningful to us. I would highly recommend Legacy to anyone needing care for their elderly loved one.

We recently moved my aunt to legacy house of Taylorsville and I honestly can't say enough positive things. She is very happy, the staff knows and loves her, she enjoys all the activities. Darren the Director is very involved and plays the piano for the residents. This location recently got some bad press but it was a corporate decision for all locations (not just Taylorsville) which they have listened and changed the policy and made things right for their residents and no one was ever charged the $300 processing fee. You should definitely give this place a chance!

We moved a beloved family member into the memory care unit at Legacy. The front office folks were very good to work with and made a tough situation much easier. The staff in the MCU were attentive, kind and kept her engaged. She was well cared for even when she presented some behavioral challenges. We had consistent communication from them regarding her condition which helped us a great deal. While she was only there for 7 weeks, we felt close to the great staff. We would highly recommend Legacy.

We recently moved my mother in law to legacy house of Taylorsville and I honestly can’t say enough positive things. She is so very happy, the staff knows and loves her (and is so patient with her), she raves about the “free” food and how good it is. Now, this is a very stubborn woman that will not eat anything new/that she doesn’t like. My husband and his whole family told me over and over that she wouldn’t eat here and she LOVES it. She also thoroughly enjoys the activities that they continuously invite her to attend. Michele has been amazing in helping us get established and continues to help and answer any questions we have. The Director is very involved and sings karaoke once a month for the residents 🙂 the staff there seems to really enjoy their jobs and all of the residents seem extremely happy. I am so happy and relieved at our decision to move our mom here she is so happy and we all know she is safe and taken care of.

Legacy House is an amazing facility. My mother has been a resident there for over 6 months and you can tell the staff is truly cares about each and every resident. They have gone above and beyond to try to make her feel as comfortable as possible. Covid has been a very trying time for everyone but Legacy House has been very good at taking precautions to keep the residents and staff as safe as possible. It can be very hard making decisions for our aging parents but rest assured your loved ones will be in good hands here.

Searching for a place for a loved one is so hard. My husband and I looked at multiple facilities for my mom over a couple of years so that it would not be a rushed decision. Our situation was a little different because we were moving my mom from another state. When I went to Legacy House of Taylorsville I was impressed. It was clean and didn't smell (a lot ofplaces do) I spoke with Michelle and she took me on a tour of their memory care facility called, The Cottage. It was clean, the residents looked well taken care of and the staff was very welcoming. Michelle could tell that I was having a hard time with the decision and was extremely comforting. I had my husband return with me and both Michelle and Nate answered all of our questions and at that point, I just knew in my gut that this was a good fit for my mom. My moms transition went better than expected and the staff welcomed her with open arms. The nursing staff, Trista and Aubrey have been very easy to communicate with and have taken great care of my mom. They encourage the residents to participate in a variety activities and the residents just love Kerri. My mom likes to wonder and she is able to do so in a safe environment. Just before Christmas of 2018 my mom had a fall and broke her hip. She had surgery, went to rehab and is now back at Legacy. She has endured some changes but is still doing amazing (at almost 88) and being cared for as before. I thank Legacy for caring for my mom and allowing me to just enjoy her.

I moved my 100 year old Mother into the memory care side of Legacy House called The Cottage. It was a difficult decision for me and my family to have her live somewhere other than my home. However, the staff has made this transition easier by demonstrating their professionalism toward their residents. I have observed their tender care for all the residents especially those who are continuously confused which is to be expected in a memory care unit. The staff recognizes that my mother enjoys a special creamer for her coffee and enjoys her crossword puzzles every day which helps to make it feel like home. She calls her room her apartment and she enjoys ‘people watching the other residents! I highly recommend mend the Cottage

Ive worked here for almost 12 years, and had my in-laws living here for several years. We had lost my father in law 5 years ago, and my mother in law a few days ago, and have had excellent care throughout their stay here. We have the best, most caring staff our family could ask for. I have also referred our facility to other friends and family, and never had complaints. We have several staff members that have worked here for 10+ years and we all consider everyone family. I love my job. I love our staff, managers and the residents too.

The staff are incredible. My grandmother spent 5 months there and loved every day there because of the staff and their car for her. There were even a few of them that would come in on their days off to check up on her. Once she went on hospice care, there was a lot of support offered to her and to the family.
