My wife was in memory care at Sagewood for about six months. I felt she got excellent caring care. Mindy was in charge of activities for those that were well enough to be in the great room. She always had activities to involve those that were there and they were treated with upmost respect. I really appreciated the meetings for the families of those who are in memory care to be able to talk with other family members that had a loved one in memory care and be able to be a support one to another. I love the support that we had from experts in the field, and their explaining things that were hard to understand , I would give the memory care at Sagewood a six star rating if I could. Edit: I have been at Sagewood since My last review. I am loving being here and I enjoy activities, especially the water aerobics and being here with friends that support me..

I cant tell you a single thing that i do not like here. Ive lived here for 8 years. Ive been to other places but none as nice as this. I love the staff, the way it's run, everything is just ideal. You are never alone, and thats a good thing. I was an only child so I love being around people. And the activities are great and they serve all kinds with their variety. You can be as busy as you want.

I looked at a lot of places and finally I came here and immediately knew that this was the place. It has been beyond my expectations. You can be whatever you want to be here. You can be a social butterfly or recluse or anything in between. The staff is wonderful and helpful. The socialness is great. There are many activities anything from exercise to live concerts. The food is great and we have much to choose from. anything from sandwiches to steak. It has been a very good experience and I recommend it.

This review is totally about my experience with Memory Care but the entire rating applies to Sagewood as a whole! Months before needing to move mom, who’d lived with us with dementia for almost 10 years, into a Memory Care program, we vetted many local options. Quality of care, individualized needs, quality of engagement activities, proximity, ambiance to name a few. Sagewood at Daybreak stood out and was our first choice. The feeling of family was a huge appeal to us. When it was time for mom to move in, those feelings were confirmed and beyond. The Memory Care team is simply amazing. Director Joelle loves and is sincerely invested in the team and each individual resident. The aides are devoted to the residents and their families, developing relationships that enhanced interests and talents. Always a smile, a hug - positive energy. Sagewood Memory Care focused on engagement versus alone time in the room. The activities to me were pivotal. Mindy orchestrated and delivered these through many resources, published and scheduled for each day of the month. These have appeal to each resident based on spiritual, creative, intellectual, physical and social aspects . It built more connection to the MC family as I participated. The MC family group meets once a month to provide a place to ask questions, learn more about dementia, share and talk about our loved ones. I would highly recommend Sagewood at Daybreak!

Our mom was in the Memory Care area at Sagewood for almost 3 years. I can't say enough good things about the care our Mom received from Joelle and her entire staff. I started to list them by name, and I would like to, but I would not want to leave anyone out. The Med Techs were also amazing. My best compliment is that our mom was very happy during the 3 most difficult years of her life. She had a smile on her face most of the time.

I have the privilege of going to Sagewood at Daybreak to see my hospice patients in the memory care. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to go in and be greeted so warmly when you walk in. I cannot tell you how much it means to find my patients clean and well cared for by such amazing staff!!! It is a family atmosphere and EVERYONE is treated with such kindness and compassion! Joelle is an amazing leader and the staff there are truly hand picked from heaven!!

When I first moved us to independant living at Sagewood, my husband was largely withdrawn from life. He had no structure to his life and would not tolerate one being imposed. When I told him we were moving, he growled, "They're not going to make me do STUFF!" I answered, "No, they're not going to make you do stuff. They won't care if you don't want to do stuff. It's all up to you. If you want to, that's great. If you don't want to, that's fine, too." After 2 months at Sagewood, my husband's diabetes A1c dropped from 7.2 to 6.4. He was getting a decent diet. His schedule is self-imposed. He does things on his own. In six months he went from not wanting to move here to being glad he is here and seeing it as a nice home. When we go on errands, he actually enjoys coming in rather than waiting sullenly in the car. He even suggests places to go for lunch. The staff make it a point to learn names. But none of the staff nor other residents get upset if you don't remember their names. There is a wide variety of activities in which you can participate or ignore, your choice. The apartments are more spacious than you would expect and having your own washer/dryer takes away the fear your laundry being done by someone who might use something that will activate your allergies. Most important to me, though, is knowing that when the time comes that we need assisted living or he to memory care, we won't have to find somewhere else to go. It's all here. I think that is why the residents here are all so nice, friendly and understanding. We are, all of us, on that final journey and this is, for most of us, the last place we will live. And we like it nice. Smiles, hugs, and when needed, the sympathy that comes with understanding. OK, so why 4 stars instead of 5? First, they aren't fresh, seasoned hashbrowns, they are frozen potato cakes like you might get at a fast food place. When I delightedly ordered hashbrowns my first morning and got potato cakes, it was quite the shock. And not a mistake I made a second time. But every time I see it still on the menu even after the menu has been redone, I remember the deep disappointment. Second, on Wednesday and Sunday nights the Bistro is closed for cleaning and we are referred to the Brunch menu if we do not want the special. There is no brunch menu. And, other than the special, I've never figured out what is actually on that unpublished menu. I got tired of asking for something from the regular dinner menu and being told it's not available because the Bistro is closed. So, if I don't like the special for those nights, which is neither rare nor frequent, I stay in my apartment to eat. So 4 stars because of potato cakes and a referenced but unpublished menu.

Such an incredible and special place. The people here, residents and staff, care so much for each other. At such a tender time in our family’s story, Sagewood has been a rock not only to my parents but to us children as well. Truly something for everyone here along the spectrum of aging. Using the onsite Canyon Home Health has been the best decision. Canyon is staffed by incredible people that have a strong working relationship with Sagewood already in place; it has simplified our healthcare needs and life so much to go through Canyon. Can’t say enough good things about the people working and living at Sagewood!!! Also worth noting is that it doesn’t smell like a typical old folks home and the lasagna is delicious.

I don't even know where to begin with the flowing compliments I have for Sagewood at Daybreak. First we were treated as royalty when Kathy Sorenson took us on a tour, and again with our Dad, and again with a second group of family members. Within those many trips, we got to meet Josh and Will...the Director & Asst. Director. I felt like we all became family really quick. They treated us to a couple meals at their Bistro, and Dad seemed to like it. People talk about parents having a setback the first week when they arrive...Dad's only lasted a couple hours. He was right in his environment, talking with "friends he hadn't met yet" We ask Dad all the time how he likes it...and he says he Loves it! The staff......the wonderful Staff in the Mountain View Neighborhood...oh I could just hug them all. There are SO MANY people we have gotten to know in such a short while. Then there are the residents that you get to know. They keep you laughing. I speak for my whole family when I say that we know we made the right choice for a location to put Dad in Memory Care, because they really do CARE! WE LOVE YOU SAGEWOOD at DAYBREAK!

We moved our dear mother with dementia/Alzheimer’s into the memory care wing, where she lived for almost a year and a half. The facility always smelled pleasant and was kept clean, which is a good indication of a nicely maintained environment. The caregivers were all amazing. I was always happy with my interactions. Celeste, Kennedee, Damien, Mindy and Joelle were always absolutely amazing. I know they loved my mom and took care of her like family. There are so many more wonderful people that I can’t name them all. The outside courtyard within the memory care wing was secure but had a nice backyard feel, and we would take mom outside for a walk and fresh air regularly. The staff was good about keeping the residents engaged in the common areas and not wheeled off into a corner of their room. The food was good and very accommodating. There was a nice reservable room for family get togethers with kitchen and dining area. When mom passed away it was very clear that she was part of the Sagewood family, and not just another person. I will always be grateful for Sagewoods care, and will miss seeing their friendly faces.

My experience at Sagewood at Daybreak was excellent. I moved my mother into the Independent Living community where she had a bright and spacious 2 bedroom apartment. The entire process was great from the first time I went in to tour the facility and met with Kathy S. and Will. Both were supportive, kind, and professional. I also want to commend the ladies working the front desk, especially Kathy V. and Lynette. They always greeted me with a smile, and were willing to help in every way possible. It takes a special type of person to work the front desk and do it well! My mother eventually needed hospice care, so we used Canyon Home Health and Hospice. It was comforting to see how the hospice team showed up as promised, treated my mother with care and dignity, and were so willing to help take care of her needs. I highly recommend Sagewood at Daybreak. They go above and beyond for their residents, in particular, Josh Bagely the Executive Director!

Wow where do we begin. My dad-in-law has been at Sagewood in Daybreak would have been 10 years on October 31, 2025. He was the longest resident as of his passing July 9, 2025 at the young age of 97 years old. We want to sincerely thank Jode and Adysen and all the incredible people at Sagewood but mainly those in assisted living (Mountain View) for their extraordinary care they gave my dad-in-law. Jode and Adysen, in particular, have cared for him as if he were family, showing endless patience, warmth, love and attentiveness. We never needed to worry when we were not around. There are no words to fully express what these two, Jode and Adysen, along with the font desk personnel and the amazing beautiful staff at Sagewood team mean to our family. They are and always will be our family. We are profoundly grateful for all the love and kindness they have shown us and dad throughout the years. Kathy at front desk continues to demonstrate exceptional customer service, follow through skills, and attention to detail. Male CNAs in Memory Care are truly the most compassionate caregivers I have ever met. They treat each resident and guest like family. Some of these skills likely have little to do with training, but are rather a result of excellent hiring. These guys brought much to the table and leadership wisely recognized it. Congrats on these excellent hires. Damien and Caleb (?) are the heart and soul of Memory Care!

I was really impressed at their support for our family celebrating our baby's first birthday. The beautiful family room and game loft was the perfect place to entertain all ages with lots of space and entertainment. The dining team went above and beyond with catering making it feel like a professional event. Maintenance set up all the tables and chairs so we could focus on decorating. Mom was so pleased and loved telling all her friends how amazing the night was. Thank you for bringing the party to her Sagewood!!

As his health declined they hugged me and held my hand and helped my family get the care he needed until he passed. My parents lived at Sagewood for 7 years. They had a beautiful, 2 bed/2 bath apartment with lots of light and high ceilings. The staff has been outstanding, top to bottom. In all those years I never had a bad interaction with any of them. They supported us through the death of my mother, and the eventual decline of my father, age 98, as he moved to assisted living his final months. The residents are also wonderful and really care about each other.

My Dad spent almost a year-and-a-half at Sagewood until he passed away 2 weeks ago at the age of 92. They treated him very well and loved him. He felt happy and safe there. The food is good and they have a lot of fun activities. They have a good branch for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They keep it clean and it doesn’t smell. The aides are great and easy to communicate with. Unfortunately I don’t know all of the aides names, but they were all wondefulfor those names that I do know, a special shout-out to JoDe, Austin, Gabby and Brayden.

So much love and kindness shown to him as he cared for my mom, from the resident and employees alike. Very positive environment. My mom was a resident in Memory Care and passed away in October. I can't say enough nice things about the people that cared for her and that she lived with. They became family to all of us. When we had a concern it was addressed. She loved living there and was happy and comfortable. Mindy is a superstar! The residents love her and she loves them. It's such a nice facility. Very clean, friendly staff, a great community for those living there with lots of activities and groups.

We moved our family member in to memory care at Sagewood in December of 2022 just before Christmas. There were so many things we loved about the physical appearance of Sagewood, but it didn't hold a candle to the love and compassion we felt from the staff. We researched several facilities and there are definitely cheaper places out there, but you get what you pay for. Our family member worked their tail off their entire life and was excellent at planning for the future so we could not imagine having anything less than the absolute best no matter the expense. I visit almost daily so I have the pleasure of seeing the outstanding care they give to every resident. The patience and love and concern every staff member has is nothing short of a miracle to the people that live there. The people that have chosen to do this as a career, specifically in memory care, is not something that mere mortals could take on. They are exceptional human beings and I can not express my gratitude enough for their existence. Joelle is an excellent leader and a truly amazing person who not only cares for the residents, but their family members as well. She goes out of her way to make sure that we are all coping with this horrible disease that has plagued our loved ones. I could write a novel on all the things positive about Sagewood, but I'll just end with this. I believe things happen for a reason and though I can not find a reason that my loved one would end up with this terrible thing, I am grateful it brought us to Sagewood so that I could have all of these wonderful people be in my life that otherwise I would not have had the privilege of ever knowing. Thank you to each and every one of the people that have been part of my life through Sagewood. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Our family is so grateful that we found Sagewood at Daybreak for our mother’s memory care. The care she is receiving at Sagewood is above and beyond our expectations and far surpasses our past experiences. The employees at this facility genuinely care about the residents, and treat them with love, compassion, patience, decency, and respect. We just feel so blessed to be associated with Sagewood, and are relieved to know our mother is being well taken care of.

The Sagewood facility and staff are great and worth five stars. But the constant harassment to leave a comment/rating is really annoying. So I’m giving them four stars this time, and that will go down every time I get another text asking for another rating.

I am the pastor at Midvalley Bible church. The number of your residence attend our church services on Sunday. We have a Bible study there on Thursday afternoons at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. My experiences at Sagewood have always been excellent. The staff is incredibly supportive, professional, courteous. We absolutely love the people there. The place is always remarkably clean first rate. I’ve enjoyed the number of meals there with the residence and they have always been excellent. Thank you again for all your doing.

Finding Sagewood has been a life-changing moment for my family and my mom. After going through a really difficult time with another facility, we were left with a lot of doubts about finding a peaceful and safe space for her--and trusting the people who were taking care of her. The entire Sagewood team, from the leadership to the CNAs, exudes a culture and attitude that demonstrates caring, trust, and love daily to those they are asked to take care of.

We moved my mother here from another facility earlier this year. We could not be happier with the level of attention and care given to her since day one. The staff is friendly, determined, and unwavering in their commitment to provide care. They are organized and seem to, at all times, know what is going on with my mother. I cannot say enough positive things about Sagewood.

From the first day you walk through Sagewood, everybody knows your name. Even as a family member of a resident, I feel the care and concern of staff members. They have spent many hours on behalf of my loved one, trying to work through difficult situations. They truly love their residents and want to create the best possible experience for each of them. Sagewood is a beautiful facility and has great activities. In 30 years, or so, I hope to live in such a great place. Thank you, Sagewood!

Our family member has been in memory care at Sagewood at Daybreak for the past year. Has it been perfect? No! But our issues have been minor and appropriately addressed. The Quality of the Staff/Administration has been excellent. They are to be commended on maintaining compassion, humanness, and oft times a good sense of humor in trying circumstances. Our family member is receiving the respectful, safe and comprehensive care we sought during this difficult transition.
