Reviews The Peaks at South Jordan

This place is still calling for families to be away from their ill family member due to Covid or masks. Days can pass and you’re not allowed to see your loved one. If you contradict them on masks, they will ban you from seeing your family member. The only way is to take your family member out of there. Very inappropriate place. After days of not being able to see a loved one, they had decreased to poor health extremely rapidly. Not a good place to be.

What a blessing it was to have my dad spend his final months at The Peaks! My mother and I were a little nervous at first having others take over the care of my father but the staff quickly became family to us. BJ was a delight in helping us with the tough decision to move my dad into their care. Monique, the Executive Director, was very attentive to all of the resident's and family's needs and worked very well with the staff and genuinely cared for each resident. She did much more than sit behind a desk - she was a "hands on" participant in the day to day well being of the community. The caretakers and nurses are top notch and were always able to answer our questions. Most importantly, they treated all of the residents with the respect and dignity that every human being deserves. Whitney, one of the night nurses, shared numerous, comforting stories about my dad which reassured us of the good care he was receiving. The Peaks also helped coordinate Bristol Hospice when it was needed and said he could live out the rest of his time there which took much stress off of my mother. The daily schedule has a lot of variety and creative thought put into it. My dad transitioned well and enjoyed watching or participating in the activities throughout the day. The facility is spacious, clean and nicely decorated. There are several common areas to meet with your loved ones including an outdoor area that is beautifully landscaped. I felt a true connection with all of the staff and residents as we visited my dad almost every day. I am so impressed with the quality of care the Peaks has to offer that I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Memory Care facility for your loved one. We thank everyone for having a lasting impact on our lives that we will always cherish.

Pheasant Run ,now The Peaks was a wonderful place for my mother. The care given was exceptional and she was loved by her caregivers. As a family we felt we could approach the staff and they would help to keep mom comfortable and us informed. I would highly recommend The Peaks as an Alzheimer’s care center.

My mom was a resident of Pheasant Run for the last year. It is a very clean facility. The staff was so good to her and always made sure she was well taken care of through every stage of Alzheimer's. I would recommend this facility to anyone with a loved one in need of memory care.

I would like to start off by saying thank you so much to all the staff/nurses at Pheasant Run, especially Monique, BJ, and Lisa the hospice nurse who helped take such good care of my Mother. You are all angels on this earth and I appreciate you all more than you know! Pheasant Run is one of the cleanest well ran care facilities I have ever been in. My Mom was at Pheasant Run for a year and I was just so impressed by the staff, nurses, cleaners, & even the kitchen workers every time I went. Everyone really took such great care of the residents & took pride in their jobs. A care facility is not always the easiest place to visit, but they made it easier there. Thank you for all you do for those beautiful residents who are struggling with this awful disease!

After touring multiple places, Pheasant Run stood above all others. The facility is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. They have so many activities that fit everyone’s interests. BJ was amazing, she really took time with all family members to make us comfortable in every way. She was amazing at following up with us and we know we have my Mom at the right place.

The word that comes to my mind when I think of The Peaks and their staff is spectacular! My mother and I had looked at a few memory care places and just couldn't see my dad being there. Then we went to The Peaks and met BJ and took a tour. After meeting with BJ and seeing the beautiful facility, my mom and I left that day knowing this is the perfect place. It felt like a home! The day my dad moved in, we were met by a team of people from The Peaks and Bristol Hospice. I was amazed with the care and kindness they provided to my dad and my family. We knew in our hearts that day that this was the perfect place. My mom, who had been the caregiver for my dad for many years, felt this huge weight lifted from her shoulders that day, which is priceless! When I went to visit my dad, I noticed the special care the staff were taking with all residents. It truly filled my heart to see how well everyone was treated. It was with kindness, love, and dignity. The day my dad passed, the amount of support and love we received from The Peaks and Bristol was above and beyond what I ever expected. They were there to make sure my dad was as comfortable as possible and that his family had love and support as well. I am so grateful for everything The Peaks and Bristol did for my family during this very difficult and emotional time. I highly recommend The Peaks to anyone who has a loved one in need of care for Alzheimers or Dementia. They are fantastic!

My experience with Pheasant Run has been pleasant and professional from day one. BJ is one of the nicest people ever, and all the staff have been so helpful and positive in the care of my wife for the past 11 months. Monique and her staff were always there to assist and advise me in decisions and options that sometimes were more than difficult. The facilities were always clean and orderly. Their girl Friday on the front desk, Tristyn, was always so friendly and helpful with any questions or problems I presented to her. Finally, Lisa, the hospice nurse who cared for my wife for the last 7 months, is an absolute saint. Thanks to all again and best of luck in the future.

After researching memory care facility we found Pheasant Run where we placed our sweet mother. No one can fully express the anxiety one feels when placing a loved one in a care facility but the staff at Pheasant Run understands this and made the transition so smooth. I knew instantly when I spoke to them that this was the perfect place for her and that she would be well taken care of and loved. When mom was at home with us she would ask nonstop when we were going home and if we could take her with us, but once she was placed, she stopped asking because she felt so comfortable and loved. She was kept busy with all the activities during the day and was blessed with the perfect roommate. Her care was handled with dignity and love. I can't say enough good things about this facility, they became family to us and we will forever be grateful to them.
March 2022
My experience with Pheasant Run was a learning one. Both for me and them. Sometimes a bit frustrating and other times quite happy. Since Covid 19 was always a concern, Covid made visiting hard. Visiting thru a window, by cell phones, etc. just wasn't the same as being in the room, hugging, being able to chat about anything and giving goodbye kisses! As time went on, the staff was overworked as they didn't have enough to meet all the needs. They tried and did the best they could but 12 hour shifts are grueling. The residents for the most part were quite lovely. They always greeted me with smiles. Some with hugs and holding my hand when we went for a walk around in the building. I will always treasure my time visiting my husband and all the others. Thanks for the experience and what a journey! Almost two years. Adele Dorsey Richard Dorsey Room 12

I want to write to say what a positive experience we have had with Pheasant Run Alzheimers Special Care Center; my Mother Gwen was a resident at Pheasant Run from June 2020, until her passing on November 29, 2020. For the entire time Gwen was at Pheasant Run, we were all in the midst of a terrible pandemic, which was so very difficult for the residents, staff, and family alike. Because in person visits were impossible, we were able to speak with Gwen by telephone three or four times a week, as well as have many Zoom meetings. Staff was always so very helpful and positive about going to get Gwen to speak with us each time we called, and were cheerful about doing so when I know it took them away from other responsibilities. It is impossible to thank each person by name who helped us, but our love and appreciation goes out to all staff at Pheasant Run! This is often thankless, but oh, so important work! One person I must single out and offer special thanks to is Stephanie Klingbiel, Pheasant Runs Director. We first met Stephanie in August 2019, when we made arrangements for Gwen to move in to Pacifica Assisted Living Center, where Stephanie was the Director. This was our first exposure to Assisted Living, and Stephanie was reassuring every step of the way. Gwen loved Pacifica, and she loved Stephanie! We met with Stephanie about once a month while Gwen was at Pacifica, until covid made in person visits impossible. Under Stephanies direction, safety protocols were quickly put in place to keep residents safe at Pacifica. With Stephanie, we witnessed rapid onset dementia take over Gwens life, and Stephanie kept us apprised of the decline. We always felt Gwen was special to Stephanie, but I would venture to say Stephanie made most residents and family feel like they were special — thats just how Stephanie is! In May, Stephanie let us know Gwen had moved beyond the realm of care that could be provided by Pacifica, where the facility was not a locked down facility. We began the task of finding a facility which was more specialized in the care of Alzheimers-dementia patients. We discovered many facilities which claimed to be dementia care facilities, but in fact, really had no experience or level of care to help these residents. Out of just a couple places we seriously considered, Pheasant Run was at the top of the list. It was then that Stephanie let us know that she had accepted a position as Director at Pheasant Run! We felt like this was providence — moving Gwen to Pheasant Run was the answer, and the very best option. Stephanie put in place at Pheasant Run the same safety protocols as at Pacifica, and helped us SO MUCH with the difficult task of moving Gwen during covid. Stephanie was delighted to see Gwen again, and took special care to help her feel settled, and not as confused as she might have been. I communicated with Stephanie regularly, and when it became apparent to Stephanie that Gwen was approaching the end of her life, Stephanie saw to it that we were able to make arrangements to put Gwen on hospice, and allowed us to come in (with safety measures) to spend time with Gwen the last few days of Gwens life. During those days, Stephanie shared with us some of her tender moments with Gwen, which we will always cherish. We will FOREVER be grateful to all at Pheasant Run, but especially to Stephanie Klingbiel for all she did to bless Gwens life and our lives. Thank you Stephanie! You are a godsend, and will continue to bless many lives at Pheasant Run, I am sure! With sincere gratitude, Gary and Suzanne Luke

Pheasant Run does an amazing job with memory care. Stephanie, the administrator runs an amazing community. The care is top notch and they have a very good team in place.

Pheasant Run is like coming home. Residents are happy and staff seem passionate about what they do, in making a difference in the lives of seniors. Management works hard to ensure they get the best care and even get involved in activities with the residents. Pheasant Run makes you feel like family!

They are a very dedicated memory care facility. They truly love every one of their residents. Their staff goes up and beyond for the care of their residence…especially Stephanie, the administrator and the Director of nursing Lisie.

Pheasant Run is an example of a fantastic area filled with lovely people and workers. The residents are the reason this place shows vibrant colors and for me a great experience. Visiting the place gives off a new vibe of home and the employees ensure that everything is in order. I would recommend to visit there if you want to be greeted with a warmth you cannot describe.

February 2020
Pheasant Run was an absolute blessing to my family during my moms time with Frontotemporal Dementia. The staff there cared not just for Mom, but for us, too. They loved her and befriended her. She wasnt just a patient, she was part of the family. Pheasant Run helped us to find relief and peace during one of our hardest years. These people have a very special place in our familys hearts, and though Mom is now free from her earthly cares, we will never forget the loving way they took care of her. We have nothing but positive things to say about this care center and the people who work there. Thank you for everything, Rhett, Suzie, Shawn, Steve, Pat, Rebecca, and so many more. We love and appreciate you all.

I am so very happy to say that I found Pheasant Run for my sister who is living with dementia at the age of 69. This Memory Care facility is so wonderful for and to my sister. Since coming to Pheasant Run she has improved in so many ways and this is the first time I can honestly say I dont worry about the care my sister is receiving. She feels very at peace now first the first time in five years. Im watching her enjoy living again. I feel for the first time in a very long time that my sister is happy. The chef at Pheasant Run prepares the best meals. My sister has gained much needed weight because of the delicious meals that are prepared. The staff are all so caring and loving towards all the residents and also to the family members. The activities that they do with the residents are just what someone with dementia needs to keep their minds and bodies stimulated and active. The care and attention that the residents receive - you couldnt ask for better for your family member. The attention that my sister and each of the residents receive from all the staff is beyond wonderfulI definitely have wanted the best for my sister and this is what Pheasant Run is giving to her and all of the residents that need this specialized care. I am so thankful and blessed that I found Pheasant Run Alzheimers Care for my sister. If the time comes when your loved one needs the care from a Memory Care facility, and the best care is what you want for your loved one, you can do no better than Pheasant Run Alzheimers Care. I can never thank all of the people at Pheasant Run for the care and love they are giving to my sister and all of the other residents that live at Pheasant Run. God bless each and every one of you!!!

Wonderful residents to take care of. Love my job!
January 2020
I love this place. I enjoy coming in and seeing every resident. They are so loved by myself and other staff and their individual story is important. These wonderful people are going through one of the hardest diagnoses a person and their family can get. I hope at the end of the day when I say goodnight they know they arent alone and that they matter.
January 2020
I really appreciate the attentive care from the staff at Pheasant Run. They were very informative and transparent of my fathers condition and worked well with hospice care. They did a remarkable job helping us through a very trying time and with difficult family dynamics in play. They spent time to educate us on dementia and we learned a lot from the monthly caregiver classes.

Exceptional care was given to my dad. I give this facility my highest recommendation.

If youre reading reviews on care centers, my heart aches for you, it is such a difficult decision! As much as you dont want to place your loved one in a home, sometimes it becomes necessary due to the nature of the disease; not only for their safety but for the caretakers sanity too. We are grateful to have found Pheasant Run (PR) for the care of my Dad last year. The admin staff is so caring and compassionate. The staff is truly passionate about the care and well-being of the residents, its not just a job to them, they really care. They know everyones name! We felt like our Dad was in good hands .They are trained on how to best care for residents with Alzheimers and dementia (other places claim to be but they are not). The facility feels safe. The hallway is a circle, which is good for Alzheimers patients, and there are comfortable areas to sit and take a break every few feet. They offer enriching activities beyond Bingo and coloring, that respect human intelligence! The facility is clean (unlike other places that reek of urine) the decor tasteful and modern, and courtyards beautiful and peaceful, the food looked pretty decent, and the price is right. I encourage you to go take a tour and see if Pheasant Run is a good fit for your loved one!

My father was a resident at the Pheasant Run Alzheimers Special Care Center. What a choice experience it was for our family to have him living in such a beautiful facility and have such wonderful support from everyone involved in his care. Many times, memory care units feel like an afterthought of a larger assisted living facility, but not at Pheasant Run. The entire building is home, with multiple family rooms and dining halls, an activity room and a beautiful inner outdoor courtyard that residents are free to go during good weather. The whole facility feels open and light. I highly recommend Pheasant Run for your loved one needing this kind of special care.
August 2019
Rhett and all the caregivers at Pheasant Run are amazing. They brought peace of mind to my very troubled mind and heart when trying to find a place for my mom after the place she was in didnt really want her back after a stint in the behavioral hospital. They understand my moms dementia, they have more patience with her, they gave us all peace. The anxiety of, Theyre going to kick her out. has never happened here. I felt peace as soon as I left my meeting with them knowing this is where my mom needed to be. There is a true family feeling at Pheasant Run. The other residents become your family as do all the caregivers. They love, care, and worry about my mom like shes their mom. Rhett is continually learning about this horrible disease and training those he works with so that they understand how this disease works. He teaches a free class monthly for anyone to attend so that you can understand whats going on with your loved one. The facility is beautiful, clean, safe, and warm. From the front desk with Shaun, to activities with Suzie, food from Mike, love from Miss Pat, and all the other amazing people whove become my family, I cant stress how great I think this place is. I can sleep again, I dont stress all day, I have peace. Thank you Rhett and every single person who works there, you are making a difference every day!

I work in the senior care industry and feel confident referring my clients to Pheasant Run. The management team and care givers are attentive and loving. I am very familiar with the memory care options in the area and Pheasant Run is among the very best.

I have never seen a group more dedicated to providing high quality care to those who suffer from dementia. Every member of the staff truly cares about each resident in the community. The building is well taken care of and the layout is very well designed. The activities that the residents engage in give meaning and purpose to their lives. Knowing what I know about Pheasant Run, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to friends and family and anyone who is interested in having a loved one live within the Pheasant Run community.
May 2019
yes, I been working here since it opened (almost 3 years). I been a CNA for 10 years I can honestly say if your love one had alzheimer or some sort of dementia this place is great for them. We are all while educated on this sadly disease and our building is while designed for alzheimer.
