This place treated my wife and I so well for the year she was there fighting alzhiemers The entire staff showed us kindness and compassion 24/7. I was allowed to be with her anytime and spent 16 hours a day by her side for the last 4 moths she was with us. Their food was great and the place was always clean and well kept. My 90 year old mother is a resident at Sunrise Of Sandy. We have been very happy with the care she is receiving. What makes it so wonderful are the people! From the activities providers to the nurses and care managers, and the dining room staff to the receptionists and housekeepers and all the way to the management, they all are genuinely concerned about the welfare of the residents and strive to get to know them on a personal level. The atmosphere is one of fun and caring. My mother looks forward to the activities and field trips and loves the musical performances scheduled for each Friday. We are so glad to have found this home away from home for her!

Sunrise of Sandy is fantastic!! Our parents are both at Sunrise despite having different needs; our mother is in assisted living, our father in memory care. Our mother can see our father anytime she would like to. The facility is immaculate! The staff are unfailingly respectful, available, warm, and knowledgeable. There is a calendar of wonderful activities tailored to each population, providing stimulation as well as enjoyment. The culture is uplifting and supportive - unusual in our experience of this type of facility. Above all else both of our parents are comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Dad has been at Sunrise of Sandy for over 6 months. His transition to assisted living has been smooth thanks to the friendly, caring staff and beautiful facility. High-caliber care managers carry out their responsibilities with a cheerful attitude and medical expertise while putting safety first. They respect Dad and make him feel recognized. The dining room encourages socialization and is a place where Dad can enjoy the company of the friendly staff. Compliments to the chef and his team as Dad enjoys nutritious and delicious food options each meal. The activities staff go above and beyond to provide stimulative and fun activities each day. They have a daily exercise class and walking club. Other activities include games, crafts, entertainment, educational activities, field trips and special monthly activities that include family members. Though having a sister living with Alzheimer’s is sad and challenging, finding the right home for Teresa has been a God-send for our family. Sunrise is now my sister’s home, and her family has been gratified to find the facility very nice, but more importantly, the staff within outstanding in their care of my sis! Teresa’s care managers, activity managers, office personnel, and the staff members who work with her throughout the day and night are personable, kind, and ever so patient! When we visit Teresa, we are greeted as one of the family, made to feel welcome, and helped with anything we might need! Teresa’s doctor and nurses are very attuned to what is going on with Teresa’s medical needs, and as all the staff, are wonderful about communicating all concerns with her family. We made the decision to place mom in memory care after the determination was made that she was no longer safe to remain at home. I live out of state and my sister toured several local facilities. While Sunrise of Sandy was not the newest facility the care that was shown to the residents quickly made it the best option. Cami was wonderful to work with and has continued to check in to make sure everything is OK not just for my mother but also for the people who love her. The resident care coordinator Charlene has addressed every issue in a timely matter with care and compassion. Mom has a room with a view to the courtyard and you can see the mountains from her window. There is a resident cat to love on, bingo, and bus rides. She is interacting more with people now than when she was at home. We moved some of mom's furniture in with her and there are times when she still thinks she is home. What could be a very frightening time for my mother has been made more manageable. Thank you Sunrise of Sandy!

I’m a Home health and hospice nurse and we tend to get around to facilities and we definitely interact with those that are on the front line for the residence that live in the different facilities. Holly and Jacque that oversee patient care are literally, one of a kind. Their effort to have the heartbeat on every single resident is so impressive. They know what’s happening all the time and of great importance that all the things going on with each separate person goes on smoothly. Not only is it one of the only places I would consider putting my own parents, but it is also the place in Sandy that I refer if anyone asks if I know of a good resident living facility- to say I’ve always been impressed is an understatement. You guys are irreplaceable - keep up what you’re doing!!

A few years ago my brother (who I help) had some medical issues and needed a place to heal and progress. He did so well he was able to leave and move into an apartment. This year he once again needed some help and they welcomed him back with joy and promise. They really care about their residents and are encouraging and helpful! I highly recommend it! I can honestly tell ANYONE who has a loved one suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s, there is NO BETTER PLACE than Sunrise! The rooms, surroundings (inside and out), and overall environment are TOP NOTCH, but, best of all, the staff, from Dr. Alisha, Holly (head nurse), Sharlene (memory care director), Charmaine (director of activities), and our WONDERFUL hospice nurse, Shanley, are absolutely GREAT at what they do . . . they are constantly updating us, with LOVE and COMPASSION, on everything they are doing to help OUR BEAUTIFUL MOM! They have truly helped made this experience bearable, because we know they have our mom’s best interests front and center!!!WE LOVE THEM ALL, including all the super aides that are constantly showing THEIR CARE AND CONCERN for mom! My grandfather resided at Sunrise of Sandy for the last 10 months of his life and was generally quite content with his living arrangement. I visited frequently and he appeared to receive excellent care by a courteous and professional staff. The facility was clean and well maintained and inviting and the dining options were usually quite good. There were a lot social activities available and while he didn't participate frequently it was good to know that they were available to him. Was the entire experience perfect? No, but it was generally very good. I thought that the cost was commensurate with the care that he received and probably a better value than many other assisted living facilities in a similar price range.

Sunrise rose above and beyond my expectations! The staff is very friendly and familiar with their residents and the families They address everyone by their names and they exhibit genuine concern for the residents. Staff members are happy to help, they smile, and they are very kind to the residents and the families. My mother showed a HUGE improvement in her memory and health within the first week. Her medications got sorted out and were given to her the way they are prescribed and on schedule. She is getting meals that look appetizing and healthy and they are there for them on time. This facility is bright and very clean and the employees smile and are happy to tend to the resident's needs at any time.

Our father was in the memory care portion of Sunrise of Sandy and I feel like he received excellent care. The staff was incredibly attentive to his needs. The food was very good and the activities were creative and fun for all the residents. The facility was always orderly and clean. Sunrise of Sandy has been amazing in caring for my dad. Every care worker takes the time to get to know him. They laugh and tease with him and make him feel so loved. They also take care of my brothers and me as well with making us feel welcome and valued. They are wonderful to communicate with us on any changes, worries or things that we can do to help him. They celebrate holidays, entertain with activities and make life as meaningful and fun as possible for their residents. The facility is beautiful but that wouldn’t even matter if the people weren’t warm and professional. They make a difficult time in life as good as it can possibly be. We will always be grateful for them!

Reasons why we chose Sunrise for Dad. 1) We loved the architecture, and the centralized layout. 2) We loved the landscaping. 3) We liked the people, and how it was managed. 4) My brother said he wanted the best place for him to live in which the cost is not the primary concern. Sunrise was not the most expensive place we looked at although it was generally very good. 5) The ratio nurses and the care givers to residents is good. There are many other places that are significantly understaffed. 5) The quality of the care residents receive seems to be good. 6) Sunrise of Sandy that I just read had generally positive reviews, mostly 5 out of five stars although there was one very negative review from a disgruntled individual. 7) Now in retrospect after my father has lived there for the last 18 months I absolutely agree with the five star positive reviews.

The memory care program here is absolutely amazing. You can instantly tell how much the staff cares about their residents and how they try to make them feel at home as soon as you walk through the doors. They are always doing activities and events with the residents and their families. I have brought my daughters here every year to go trick or treating and they love it. The staff is always dressed up and you can see how much the residents love it. I hope that if I ever need to be in a care facility like this it will be here. I know I will always be taken care of. They are amazing!

I was so nervous to move my Aunt into the community but I was relieved when the staff was so welcoming and excited to get to know her better. In the few weeks she has been there, it is the happiest I have seen her in years. She is absolutely thriving and has enjoyed being a part of the community. They were all generally invested in her well being and care. The facility was always clean and tidy and inviting. The rooms were well kept and we never had any concerns about cleanliness or safety. Highly recommend!

Sunrise of Sandy is a premier Assisted Living Facility that has staff who exemplify kindness, respond to each and every need that their patients and families exhibit, and, I am ALWAYS impressed with the high caliber of professional caregivers that continue loving what they do. It is not a job to them, but, rather a calling. Tough Family conversations are delivered with gentle conversation and dialogue, which is not an easy thing to do, yet, love is at the root of each conversation. It is never easy to send a loved one to a facility, especially when you are working and caring for children of your own, and for my team, it sure makes it easy to refer Sunrise as a safe place to go. My father spent the last 1.5 years of his life at Sunrise. Like most residents, he did not want to move in. Happily, he quickly adjusted to his new beautiful apartment and the warm and caring community of residents and staff at Sunrise. He loved living there and it was a great comfort to us to know how happy he was at Sunrise. I will always be especially grateful for the care with which he was treated during his last days. Sunrise was truly a blessing for our family.

If money is not a concern, Sunrise is a great place to be. We put our friend here 15 months ago. The staff and caregivers were wonderful. It is a very active community with activities that everyone can enjoy. The residents are very friendly and caring. Our friend loved his time here. We were sad to move him but couldn’t maintain the continually rising costs. Thank you to all those who cared for him!

I recently moved my Mom up from Southern California. I made multiple appointment with all the local Senior Living communities. After weeks of tours, I was most impressed with Sunrise of Sandy. What I liked most and help with my decision was the staff. They were genuinely interested in both mine and my Moms needs. They didn't spend a lot of time on the amount of activities that are available to the residents, or how great the food and other amenities are. They instead focused on the care that will be needed for my Mom. I really appreciated that. Not to say that those other things are not important, but they were not on the top of my list. Another thing that they did that I loved was during my tour and subsequent visits, they introduced me to many of their current residents. I was able to ask them what they like about Sunrise. All of them mentioned in one way or another that they loved the staff. I thought that was really great that I had a chance to talk with those that live there and know Sunrise the best. I would highly recommend Sunrise in Sandy. It has turned out to be everything we wanted for my aging Mother. The longer she has been there the more they know her every need. It truly feels like a family.

My dad spent time at Sunrise in the memory care unit and the staff there was so amazing to him and to us. They made a difficult time so much better and were so caring and helpful all along the way. He decided he wanted to go there when the time came after visiting a friend there and seeing how great it was. So it was an easy choice for us and the best one we could have made. I would highly recommend Sunrise to anyone considering their options. Latu and Mele and Sydney and all the staff were the best!

Sunrise of Sandy Assisted Living has been wonderful with my father and with us as his family. His placement there was unfortunately unexpected and we had to decide quickly. We are all so happy with our decision to move him into Sunrise. They have taken such great care of him, and they have helped us navigate the transition as well. The staff is responsive and caring, and I feel like they genuinely care about my Dad, and not just his physical needs, but his mental well being and daily happiness. They work really hard to help their residents have a good quality of life. I believe they have and are continuing to do the very best they can under the Covid restrictions as well. My family is very grateful and appreciative to all of the staff at Sunrise and I would recommend them to others needing to find assisted living for their loved ones. I know my Dad is in good hands with them.

My mother has been residing at Sunrise of Sandy for 3 1/2 years. She has always been happy with the care she receives. The staff , truly, become family. The facility is beautiful, but the greatest amenity provided are the amazing people who staff this facility.Especially, during the Covid restrictions, it has been a great comfort to know that she is surrounded by generous, caring people who are dedicated to her well being, in all regards. It was an excruciating experience accepting the need to move from her own home, but the life she has found at Sunrise of Sandy continues to reinforce our good feelings about our choice of this outstanding facility.

When my family had to make the difficult decision to find a new "home" for my 83 year old mother, who was no longer able to live independently, we were fortunate to cross paths with Sunrise of Sandy. Their exceptional care, support, and sensitivity, to not only my mother, but also my entire family, has helped to make this challenging transition as comfortable as possible. They're extremely professional and responsive to any questions and concerns we may have. And, I always feel that our satisfaction is their top priority. Joining the Sunrise community has been the best decision we could've made. Without a doubt, our partnership with them, has made all of our lives much better!

Our mother has been challenged with acute dementia and it became necessary to search out an assisted living facility that will provide 24 hour care with loving attention and support that she needs. Fortunately my sisters and I found this at Sunrise of Sandy. They have the most professional staff that is loving, kind and caring that they're an extended part of our family. We felt the warm, cozy and homey ambiance the very first moment we walked through the front door into the facility and absolutely loved the quaintness and personalized atmosphere there. My sisters and I highly recommend Sunrise of Sandy when you're looking for a facility that gives attention to details while preserving the dignity of your loved one.

Words cannot describe my gratitude for Sunrise of Sandy. My Dad was a resident in the reminiscence unit at Sunrise of Sandy for about 4 years before he passed away in May. Everyone at Sunrise is like family to us. They went above and beyond to take care of my Dad in every way possible and me too! They genuinely loved my Dad...I have no doubt! I learned so much from Sunrise about how to interact with my Dad as his dementia progressed. The staff at Sunrise are very knowledgeable and so loving!! My Dad was a businessman till the very end and they knew just how to engage him and keep him happy. They set him up a desk with files and they would discuss "business deals" with him for hours. He made up names for all of them and they stuck for years. There are no words to describe how amazing they were to my Dad. This is a very difficult time with the pandemic, but Sunrise kept my Dad safe and happy through all of it. When my Dad was passing, due to his dementia, Sunrise along with Silverado Hospice, were so helpful and loving. Sunrise of Sandy is the best!!!
