Cedarwood is exceptional. Their facility is wonderful, but the staff is even more amazing. Many times, aging is not simple. Add in family and things can become stressful. Jesse and Lori go the extra mile to make sure things work out. They never leave you stranded in caring for your loved ones. My father was out at Legacy before he died. We are so glad our mother is at Cedarwood. She has needed to advance from independent living and through extended memory care. We could not ask for more. Thanks Cedarwood! Update... Mom passed in 2021. Cedarwood helped us through some very trying times. She was moved to other facilities and they were caring and helpful and reached out to see how she was doing right through the end and then followed up to check on our family. They have shared the love and compassion we all sought after and have needed.

I hesitate to write but I think it needs to be expressed as I am a little heartbroken. We recently moved my mom here from another state. I had done my research and was delighted when I found Cedarwood. I had been there a dozen times and every time found it active, social, and an all around positive place. They did a really good job selling us on this place. They said lots of wonderful things but here is how it really is. My Mom has made lots of friends, but the first morning she spent there alone, she woke up to someone in her room standing at the end of her bed. It was a housekeeper and of course it frightened my Mom. We were told someone would show her around for a couple of weeks and no one did. I had to call to ask. There really is no security. We were told the salon was about half the price of regular salons but we just got a bill for $225 for a cut and color and one manicure. If you do the math, that's outrageous! the apartment is nice, but the halls smell pretty bad. I don't know why?? I could say more, but won't. It's been really hard to deal with. She is generally happy, but it's been a bit of a let down. As with anything it's an adjustment but it hasn't been smooth. Hope this helps and sounds like not everyone has this experience, but for us it's been one thing after another.

If I could rate Cedarwood a 10 out of 5, that would be more representative of how I feel about Cedarwood. Cedarwood at Sandy went well above and beyond any expectation. All of the staff from Austin out were so friendly and accomodating in meeting our every need and concern. In addition, the facility, food, and activities are top notch. My father was only at Cedarwood for a little more than 3 months before moving on to the next life. In that short time, he made friends with nearly everyone at Cedarwood. Our family really enjoyed walking down the hall with our father to dinner or other events and watching the other residents saying hello to him by name and he responded back by knowing them by name. When my father's life was nearing the end, Cedarwood stepped up so strongly in recognizing and anticipating our needs and made the last few days of my father's earthly life much more peaceful and less worrisome for both my father and for our entire family. I would recommend Cedarwood completely without any reservation. Thank you. Cedarwood, for all you did for my father and for our entire family. We will always be grateful.

My mom moved from Montana to Cedarwood during Covid. She moved to Utah to be closer to family and left behind 25 years of memories and relationships in Montana. This move was incredibly challenging for her. The staff at Cedarwood were incredibly accommodating, supportive, compassionate, and understanding. Staff and administration worked with our family to ensure that all of my mother’s healthcare needs were met and that there were not any gaps. The cedarwood team rapidly coordinated a continuum of health care providers to meet her specified needs. Over the past 3 1/2 months, my mom has found her home at Cedarwood. She feels very cared for by the staff, loves her apartment, brags about the amazing food choices, and thoroughly enjoys the simplicity of sitting on her courtyard facing deck. My family is so grateful that my mom is well cared for and cared about and is enjoying a wonderful quality of life as part of the Cedarwood community.

We had just visited another Living Center and were discussing in short detail, the positives we experienced from that tour, as we pulled into the parking lot of Cedarwood at Sandy. We immediately felt the difference in the surroundings. The parking lot was surrounded by healthy, tall, mature trees and the entrance was that of a fancy resort. We stepped into the lobby and were greeted by residents who were enjoying the summer air flowing in from the front entry. The staff spoke directly to my mother and engaged with her about her desires and vision of what she would like and we were shown to each of the living areas of the community. We were so impressed with the Independent Living show room apartment, that my mother asked for this room specifically. What a powerful moment when she CHOSE this place and since then we have been blessed as we navigate this next stage of her life and continue to maintain as much independence as she is able. This Living Center has assisted my mother to feel part of a community again and has gifted her with freedoms that she perceived had been lost, such as scenic drives, friends to talk with, easily accessible entertainment and an overall quality of life that has improved in leaps and bounds. It has also given me the opportunity to regain my relationship as her "Daughter", while feeling secure in the knowledge that she now has a full caring staff to support her as "Caregivers".

My mother lived at Cedarwood for 7 years. When she moved in, she was delighted with her beautiful apartment, new friends, delicious food and the many activities available for residents. She went to the symphony, played blackjack, went on scenic drives, enjoyed barbeques and luaus and even did Tai Chi. As her health deteriorated, she moved from independent living to assisted living, where her care increased. The Cedarwood administration is to be commended for hiring kind, compassionate caregivers and staff, from the housekeepers and servers to the skilled and caring CNAs. They are also to be commended for the health protocols they put in place during this past year to protect their residents from Covid. Our family is grateful that we found Cedarwood!

My Father in Law was a Resident here for over 5 years. This is an exceptional Community and Team. We were incredibly impressed with their kindness and consistent, excellent care, along with their very purposeful and intentional safety protocol, pre-COVID, and all through the pandemic. The dining services have been outstanding, and we recognize, this has been an especially challenging process to manage during COVID. Our extended family is very grateful to this Team for all they do on behalf of the Senior population - their incredible Residents. Thank you!

To all the employees who work at Cedarwood--Each and everyone of us who have family living under your care, couldnt possibly thank you folks enough for what you do. Prior to the onset of Covid-19, I couldnt help but notice during visits, how each one of you individually played a special role in providing our loved ones with a most enjoyable and safe place to call home. Now, with Covid-19, I am especially thankful and in awe of each one of you. Your efforts to keep the virus out of Cedarwood are working and I cant thank you enough for keeping my mom and all her great neighbors, safe. Youre truly great people. God bless you and your families.

I work with every assisted living community in the county and Cedarwood at Sandy is among the best. Their staff and management team are caring, they offer a wide variety of activities each day and their food is delicious. It is also nice that they offer both independent and assisted living as well as memory care. I would highly recommend scheduling a tour of Cedarwood, so you can see for yourself.

Ive been impressed with the management and staff of Cedarwood. They are fully invested in the well-being of their residents and approach their jobs as more of a ministry than a vocation. The executive director in particular works hard to build a community, and his supporting administrative staff have been just as helpful after our family member moved in as they were beforehand when they hoped to make a sale. That says a lot about who they are. Avoid the teaser rates posted by some competitors--you get what you pay for, and your family members quality of life will be affected by that choice.

My Dad has been living at Atria-Cedarwood for 13 years. Many of those in Independent living. He moved to Assisted Living just as Covid 19 forced Cedarwood into full lock down. You cannot imagine how hard that was for my Dad. It took a tremendous emotional toll on him when his family seemingly disappeared. Even though he watched the news and knew there was a pandemic, he did not grasp the impact it was having on everyone on the outside. I say outside as if somehow he was locked up on the inside which he was but...the truth is, we were all locked up, locked down, or locked out on the outside too. Understandably, he couldnt see that because he was not out there to witness the sudden change of our reality. All that being said, there are people out there who never stopped working to provide our essential needs, services that we all take for granted. Grocery store workers, truck drivers, healthcare providers, etc. etc. etc. Now that my Dad has accepted his new normal, he and I are so grateful for the staff at Cedarwood for keeping all the wonderful residents at Cedarwood safe and well cared for. Every time Im on the phone with my Dad there is always someone at his door, bringing breakfast, lunch, or dinner, picking up the trash, gathering his laundry, or bringing it back, weighing him, delivering his meds or something left in the breezeway from a family member. I could go on and on but the bottom line is these things could not be done without the hard work and dedication of both management and all of those great people on the ground (yes..HEROs) who chose to make it their mission to take care of my Dad. I know it is a hard job and Im sure everyone is putting in overtime and extra efforts to do their job but I havent heard one complaint. So YAHOO HOORAY and GOOD JOB!!! to all of you. Know that you are truly appreciated and that your loving care and dedication has not gone unnoticed!!

Cant say enough great things about this place! Ive known this staff and worked closely with them for the past 10 years and they have been nothing short of perfect. I trust them implicitly with the care of the patients and families that I work closely with and know, without a doubt, they will be treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. The feeling of a community starts with its management. Jesse is as good as they come and I know the standard of care that he sets, is manifested greatly in his staff.

We are so grateful for the wonderful staff at Cedarwood! My parents moved in over a year ago and have been so happy with the many social activities offered. The food is wonderful too! My father has mentioned many times they have the best restaurant in town It has been a great blessing to our family to know they are well taken care of. As for during this pandemic, living far from them in MN, it has given me great comfort knowing the great protective measurements Cedarwood has taken. I was able to visit recently, and was impressed by the creativity in keeping them safe while seeing the importance of connecting with families and loved ones! We loved visiting at the Party Porch and Conversation Station (at a safe distance) during my visit!

Our family is so grateful to know that our mom is being so well taken care of. We have all thought at least a million times how glad we are to know she is in good hands at Cedarwood. This has been a stressful time for sure, but we have not had to worry about our mom. That lack of worry is because of all the amazing people at Cedarwood! You go above and beyond and sacrifice so much for everyone in the Cedarwood community. Thank you for showing up day after day and putting the needs of the people of Cedarwood before your own. You are rock stars and we sincerely appreciate all that you do!

My mother lived at Cedarwood at Sandy for several years when we lived in Utah. She was very happy there, and I was very happy with her care. The food was good, the staff really do seem to love and care for the residents, and the leadership of the home is by far the best I have seen in the six different facilities she has lived in (we have moved a lot for job and I always move her with us). Jesse Buntjer and his staff go above and beyond to make life at Cedarwood enjoyable and diverse in the activities they do with the residents. If you are questioning whether your loved one will be cared for and happy here, just take a tour and you will feel the atmosphere of family. It has been my pleasure to write this review and if I could have brought this home and its staff with us to KY I certainly would have!!

I am so grateful I found Cedarwood when looking for a place for my dad when he couldnt live at home any more. They have better activities than any other place I looked and have more opportunities for men to get together. My dad needed memory care a few months after being in AL and they were able to really personalize his care and give him the chance to eat meals with his AL buddies. The memory care staff has saved extra of meals he likes, listened to his delusions, and held his hand when we couldnt visit him because of Covid. I also have appreciated the communication from staff and management that is specifically about my dad. Im glad he is known to them and they care about him.

I am the Activity Director at the Draper Senior Center. have been personally associated with Cedarwood for over 7 years. Cedarwood is a valued Community Partner that we admire and respect. Over the years, Cedarwood has been actively involved with the seniors at the Draper Senior Center. Not only do they give quality care to their own residents, but they are truly concerned and anxious about the wellbeing of the participants at our Center. Whenever I have reached out to them for help with an activity at the Center, they have never failed me and have always been willing to help and serve in any way they can. One huge service that they provided was catering the luncheon for our grand opening. Seniors today still reflect on how delicious the food was! Presently, Hunter Jorgensen is the Community Liaison for Cedarwood. I work closely with Hunter in involving Cedarwood in monthly Friday Bingo games. The seniors love Hunter and his energetic personality and passion for working with the aging population. His visits are the highlight of our day at the Center! He just seems to bring sunshine to the Center and the seniors. I have personally visited Cedarwood on many occasions over the years for various functions and presentations. Im always amazed at the warm welcomes and and positive attitudes of staff and happy, content residents. There is always a feeling of positive energy during those encounters. Because of these experiences, I have referred with confidence many of our Centers families to the Cedarwood family. So, to the Cedarwood administration and staff, I have this to say: ROCK ON!!!!!!!!

I moved into Cedarwood 2 months after my husband of 50 years died. I visited a number of senior facilities, eating at a few and touring them all before I settled on this loving place to be my forever home. From the first few minutes that I walked in I knew it was for me. Everyone had a smile on their face: residents, employees and visitors. Laughing was everywhere from the mail boxes to the Assisted Living dining room. I have now lived here for 2 1-2 years. I am kept as busy as I want to be day in and day out. Activities that I enjoy are trips to the theater, rides to the canyons and ski resorts, cookouts, movies, eating out at favorite restaurants, visiting the library, and inhouse Bingo, cards and games. I use my own car for doctor appointments and shopping, but I could use our handy bus if I wanted to. The best part of living here are the people, residents and staff. Everyone cares about everyone else. If we dont remember a name, a smile and a hug do just fine. We remember faces and the love from each other. The senior director, Jesse breaks out in song with his banjo at a moments notice. So what if he only knows 5 songs. You Are My Sunshine is my favorite. Drop by to visit and ask for me, I would be happy to show you around or eat a meal with you. The food here is very good and we have many, many choices.

The staff is what makes Cedarwood at Sandy a wonderful place to live. There is both Independent and Assisted Living. The food is overseen by Head Chef Derek. Most meals are scrumptious. Holidays see crabs legs and cold shrimp....Sunday brunch has turkey and sometimes ham, or roast beef is added to the menu. Security is on hand 11 pm until 7 am, then dayshift takes over. A RN is on duty 9 am -5 pm but there are CNA's on duty 24/7 to assist both sides. My father has lived here for 9 years and enjoys activities like Blackjack, Wii bowling, Dice, Friday drives, quarterly Wendover day, and Weds. afternoon happy hour with entertainment to name a few of the fun activities that are free or might come with a small cost. The building is being remodeled slowly and looks nice. There is an area where they can grow some veggies, as well as a nice putting green. Weekly cleaning of the apartment is included in the cost of their monthly rate which includes stripping the bed and washing the sheets and then remaking the bed; also washing the towels, and light cleaning of the room. You can opt for additional services for an additional cost. On the Assisted side the monthly rent includes washing the clothes weekly. You provide your own clothes washing but each floor has facilities and the general wash room opens after 3 pm for residents to wash their own clothing. Plenty of parking around the front as well as the backside of the building. A small fee is charged for covered parking spots. I hope when the time comes for me to retire to an apartment facility that Cedarwood at Sandy will be available. I hope this gives you a quick look at Cedarwood at Sandy.

I've loved this place since it was Atria. The people there are amazing and I am able to feel very content knowing my mom is in a very safe and loving place. There's a strong bond there between residents and those individuals that work there are wonderful - very patient, kind-hearted and treat the residents there as their own family - their own grandmother or grandfather. I researched a lot of places before my mom and dad moved there 4 years ago, I've never regretted it. Since my father's passing, the residents and employees, helped my mom in ways that I was unable. Other residents had experienced losing a spouse and they were there to support her through her transition. I highly recommend this community for a loved one.

I have been a sales director at Cedarwood at Sandy for 7 /12 years; I have been a family member at this community for 9 1/2 years. I cannot imagine having my Dad anywhere else but Cedarwood at Sandy! This incredible three-time Best of State winner has earned a remarkable reputation by serving residents and family members with both professionalism and excellent care in our cozy, friendly environment. This well established building is kept meticulously clean and the entire team has a friendly attitude towards all residents, families and guests. The reputation of the delicious meals provided by our amazing chef of 17 years is known throughout the valley. Longevity of staff is a primary key to our success; because our company treats all associates so well, one third of our staff has been in this building for 5+ years; 10% have been employed for 10+ years. This speaks highly of our company, Kisco Senior Living, and is a huge advantage over other senior living communities in this area.

Easily One of our valleys best facilities! The Atria is a place I feel 100% confident in recommending families and friends to as a solution for the needs of our elderly. Besides the beautiful building, and amazing food, what I value most about the atria is the staff and the culture that has been created. They work as a team And that only benefits the residents. My parents live at Atria Sandy and there could not possibly be a better place for them. I was having lunch with them two weeks ago when I got a phone call with some very bad news. My mother asked our waitress Lacey to pack up my lunch to go as I was upset. Lacey saw my tears, sat down her tray and put her arms around me and just let me cry. We only know each other casually as I have lunch there occasionally, but she was just so caring. She did not know the circumstances, but she knew I was hurting. I have been living at Atria Sandy for over six years, and I think it is the most fabulous place to spend my remaining days (or years?). The employees are all great, and it would be hard to single out one individual over all the others. The Community Services Director, Nina Dziatlik however stands out as she is expert on showcasing Atria's attributes to potential new residents, and does a great follow-up on all these folks. As a result, the resident census is always nearly 100 %, which makes for greater efficiency. Prior to her arrival, the census was usually much lower.

Frank was at Atria before an acute illness. To get out of the more expensive, regimented "nursing home system", he needed a service to check his blood sugar 4 times a day paid for by Medicare. Jackie found an agency to do this, and Frank was able to move back to Atria. He's happier, the visiting health nurses are great, and he can enjoy the independence of living on his own and eating the good meals. All this because Jackie remembered his need, and found the solution. Thank You Jackie
