My parents have been residents of assisted living at Spring Gardens for 2 months. This facility won us over with how much nicer it felt compared to other places we had visited. Spring Gardens is tucked back in a quiet corner west of Washington Blvd and surrounded by other homes and apartments. My father still drives occasionally so we appreciate that a trip to his favorite stores, Walmart or Smiths, is an easy drive and less than a couple miles down the road. Prior to moving into their apartment it was necessary to replace the carpet. Due to some personal scheduling challenges we needed to deliver some furniture earlier than when their apartment would be ready. Becky was very accommodating and allowed us to temporarily store items in another empty apartment for a couple days. On move-in day my parents were very warmly welcomed by both staff and other residents. Upon entering their new apartment we immediately noticed that a smoke alarm was missing. Within a matter of a few minutes Carson, who is responsible for maintenance, was standing on a ladder installing a new one. Their one bedroom apartment is spacious and well lit with large windows and a beautiful view of the mountains to the east. My parents appreciate that the facility has it's own very well attended branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My father has been given a calling which has helped to give him purpose and allows him more opportunities to serve his fellow residents. Overall I am extremely happy with the decision to move my parents to assisted living at Spring Gardens. My mother recently had two separate falls and it was comforting to know that she was able to get the help she needed in a timely manner. The only area I see need for improvement would be in the dining experience. There has sometimes been a VERY long wait to be served which has been frustrating. Also there have been numerous occasions where featured items on the posted menu end up not being available. This has been a disappointment especially when it was something they were looking forward to. I have recommended Spring Gardens to others and will continue to do so.

I have been so impressed with The Lodge and the care they give to our Mom. When we toured the facility I knew that it would be a welcome place for her. My husband and I visited on our own and looked at another local facility on the same day. We went right back and signed up. When I told our Mom that it was time to transition to the care facility, she said I was all prepared to tell you I’m not going but after you told me about all the amazing amenities, I’m kind of excited. Our favorite features were the dining room has a daily menu where Mom can order from with new items every day and Diet Coke on tap!! That was a must!! There is also a bistro where residents can go any time and grab a snack. There is a movie room where weekly shows are watched in comfy chairs. And of course Bingo almost daily. Laundry rooms are available if you want to use them and a hair and nail salon on sight. There are lots of daily activities. Her favorites are the ice cream and birthday socials. And of course Sunday services are held in the building so she doesn’t have to go anywhere. And after living there an almost a year and can honestly say the nursing staff is top notch!! You can still be independent and just enjoy the services or may need all the memory care facilities they provide. Also the pricing is great for our needs!! Mom tells us all the time She so glad she lives there!! Thank you to The Lodge and staff for taking care of our Family!!

Spring Gardens at North Ogden is phenomenal working with my mother. Shortly after moving her in she had to move to memory care. The staff is great, can anticipate what she needs and keeps her entertained. Mom loves the food and the people.

Our mom was only at The Lodge North Ogden for five days. But, the few days she was there we were happy with her care and the facility. It was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The residents that we passed and met in the halls were all very pleasant. Many people had dogs with them and I know that was a huge selling point for us. We just wish mom would've agreed to the move sooner so she could've enjoyed it!

Five Stars, but READ the whole review. My husband lived in the Memory Care unit in The Lodge at North Ogden for a year. My rating for his care is a 5 star rating in all areas. From the time I walked in the door to the time I left I was greeted with smiles and kindness. In the memory care unit, with the exception of it sometimes taking a while to be let in (there is a bell and someone has to let you in and out) I was very happy with the way he was cared for and treated. The caregivers always knew where he was and what kind of day he’d been having. HIs needs were met and I believe they genuinely loved him and the other residents. I saw real tears every time one of the residents passed away. I never saw any caregiver treat any resident unkindly. The chef made delicious meals and made regular visits to spend a little time with the residents, learn their names and know their dietary needs. Memory Care residents were included in Lodge activities and celebrations. They were taken for rides in the little bus regularly. HOWEVERthere is something that I think is a buyers beware warning to anyone who is considering putting a loved one in this placement. The Lodge and many other assisted living or memory care facilities may not be owned locally, but by Watermark, or another larger corporation that owns many such facilities across the country. They use a care point system to evaluate how much care a person needs and charge accordingly. While this makes some sense due to more tasks requiring more work for caregivers, it gets expensive in a hurry. I can tell you, that they don't get paid more if they do more care for a resident. There is a base price for just living there and a minimum number of care points. My problem was with price hikes and the non-transparent way they were levied. His price went up three times during the year. It was nearly impossible to pin down exactly what things he now needed and why I was being charged more. Care points went up to $4.11 per day, per point. I obtained a Watermark assessment and counted 154 actions caretakers might need to take while assisting a resident. I’m not sure whether or not each action is a point, but I can tell you that the cost for his care rose from $4100 to $8000 a month, in one month. There were also several months that I was charged more than $5400 a month and could never get anyone to explain. Then the price went down to $4100 (when I threatened to move him) and then up to $8000 after corporate people came in and reassessed the residents. $8000 a month adds up to $96,000 per year. For me, that's a lot of money. There are care centers that charge a flat rate and I’d recommend looking into that. If you want to make money, maybe invest in assisted living centers that charge points, because those investors must be raking it in.

I love this retirement community, it truly feels like an all-inclusive resort! Every time I'm there, the environment is always so positive and happy. The executive director, Kelly, is amazing and you can tell that she truly loves her residents and staff. I would recommend this place to everyone.

All of the personnel at the Lodge that we have worked with have been professional, extremely helpful, and very caring and concerned that our loved one is taken care of exactly the way we need. They pulled together and made an emergency move-in over the weekend happen, making sure hospice was involved and could provide all of the necessary equipment. We have spent 2 days at The Lodge and they are the kindest, most caring, and genuinely invested people in long term care. The building is beautiful and CLEAN, the hallways are wide, the amenities are so nice. We love The Lodge!

My wife and myself lived there for about a year. Initially it was a five star, later food quality tanked to the point we would not recommend the Lodge. Mostly the food.... started out very good but went downhill shortly before we left. We would have given it a 5 initially but it went downhill around the end of 2023, now maybe a 3. There were many nice tenants there when we left, but many were complaining... can't say about now..

As a hospice representative, I get to go into a lot of assisted living facilities and The Lodge at North Ogden is one of the most impressive. Sure it's a beautiful facility, however, it's the team running it that makes it more impressive. From Kelly the Executive Director, to Tara who's in charge of resident activities, to Gia, who is over their Memory Care, it's clear how much they care. If you're looking into an assisted living facility, it's worth your time to check out The Lodge at North Ogden.

The Lodge is a beautiful and well-maintained facility. Shoutout to Gia in the memory care - She is so good with her residents and cares for them deeply! While being in the building, I have made so many good connections with the staff on AL as well. There are too many to name but I appreciate all of the AL staff for their hard work and the amazing care that they provide!

The lodge has a very cozy and high class feel to it. All of the residents I have contact with have nothing but the best compliments of their home at the Lodge. They love the staff and how well they are treated and cared for. They also comment that the food menu is very very good. I would recommend the Lodge to a loved one for sure!

The Lodge is an amazing facility. It is always clean, they have a great staff, and everyone is friendly. I am a nurse who sees patients in this building and their med techs are on time, they answer their call lights, they are kind to their patients, and they are respectful. Communication is top notch! I would happily have one of my family members in this facility!

My amazing 93 year old father battled some health issues shortly after my mother passed away. He eventually found himself becoming a resident of The Lodge. We thoroughly researched many facilities in northern Utah, and found that this was the place for my father. The staff has become a part of our extended family and they are so caring. They never hesitate to inform me of their concerns regarding my dad’s health. They go out of their way to ensure his well being and strive to get him involved. I am very thankful that we have them as we work through this stage with my dad. The residents are so sweet. They all look out for each other and have gone out of their way to make him feel welcome. For the first time in years he is spreading his wings and making new friends. One suggestion for those that are considering assisted living for their loved one. You must be present. Visit them often, if not daily. My family has partnered with the staff and our experience at The Lodge is five star! My dad is cared for, respected, and loved. Thank you for making this vital phase more bearable for the family and for you kindness to my dad.

This is a great place. Our mother has been a resident for a year an a half there. They are always willing to listen and to work with us in any way to help our mother. The nurses there have given me their personal numbers to call if we have any concerns and they call me with anything issues that arise. We have found the communication with us between the administration and nursing staff to be excellent. The CNAs and med techs are so kind, patient and loving towards our mother. They involve the residents family in so many activities that involve the whole family such as holiday parties, spotlights on the patients, breakfasts on the patio, art shows, etc The kitchen staff interacts with the residents like family. We watch interactions between staff and their patients in the hallway, at meals and activities. They show genuine interest and concern for everyone and laugh and talk with them and know them as individuals. Most of all my mother feels loved and cared for. We know that we can call the staff anytime and discuss any problems. My mother’s hospice nurse also has been so complimentary regarding the staff and has told us that it is one of the best facilities that she visits. We feel very fortunate to have our mother there and highly recommend this facility.
