I recently visited a friend in the memory care unit. The staff, from the front desk to the aides, were very friendly and nice and I noticed a good rapport between the staff and patient. However when I got into the memory care area, within the first few steps I noticed a strong smell of urine and the further I got into the unit, the worse the smell became. There are protocols for preventing and removing odors, and every facility should have a strategy in place to do this. This means resolving spills and leakages promptly and using the correct combination of incontinence products, of which there are many. Preventing odor is important for the quality of life for residents and staff. When residents, linens and furniture in general are kept clean and dry, odor should not be a problem. Does this mean more work? Probably. Does this mean a bit more money for the appropriate incontinence and cleaning products? Probably. Does this mean that it should be a priority for management? Absolutely! But I wouldn't have a member of my own family in a facility with such strong urine odors. It's not healthy and it's not appropriate for those living and working there.

Tia, who works with my mom in memory care, is absolutely phenomenal. She treats my mother as if she were her own, and I'll be forever in debt. I can't speak more highly of her patience and her heart.

I've been looking for a nice place that my mom would enjoy. We went to other places from Brigham city to Bountiful, but nothing felt homey. We went to Apple Village and were greeted by such kind people like Emily who worked with us on finding the perfect apartment and Brent the administrator, he is so down to earth, helpful and very knowledgeable. My mom hit it off almost immediately with other residents and was welcomed like family. I knew when I saw her smile, this was where she wanted to be. I proudly recommend this beautiful place to anyone looking for a special place for your loved ones.

Apple Village is an amazing place. The staff is just amazing the staff is just very friendly, they have such a big heart and very caring. The residents just love them all. They are very welcoming and gets along very well with other residents it's just amazing watching all the residents get to together with one another for activities or even just socializing having a conversation with one another. The administrator is just amazing hes always there when in need takes everyone's concerns serious.

The staff at Apple Village is kind and caring, which is good. The administrator is only on-site 2 or 3 days a week and is often non responsive to the residents' needs and concerns. The food is poor to mediocre and often served cold. I would not recommend placing your lived ones at this establishment.

I recently visited Apple Village and was so very impressed with all of the staff. The Village is clean and cozy! Such a warm and inviting feeling. I met with Amanda and could right away see the love and compassion she has for every resident and staff member. My upcoming decision was made so much easier now Ive visited Apple Village. I have no doubt my loved one will be in the best care possible.

Willow Park has been a "home away from home" for my sister, Louise Holt, who has a neurological disease and broke "her good arm." The staff has been wonderful to her and supported her in all her new learning efforts for moving, eating, and general living activities. Mary Hall Smith is such a supporter of hers. She's given suggestions when asked and has been a wonderful resource and friend to her and to all of her family. All of the management team is to be commended for their efforts. As my sister says "if she has the need for assisted living again, her choice is Willow Park."

I put my 95 year old father in their care when it became too difficult to care for him at my home for my wife and I-. The staff were very kind to him and took very good care of his needs. Everyone we dealt with at this facility were always very helpful. I was very pleased that we had placed him in such a wonderful place. He recently died and when they notified me they were gracious and kind. I highly recommend them.

I've been with the Apple Village since 2009 and it has been an amazing place to work. I love all the residents who I've had the opprutunity to interact with throughout the years. The rooms and building is cozy and warm. There is always fun activities and entertainment going on. Apple Village is a wonderful place to live!

I really love this facility! I have been in other retirement communities and have noticed bad PR and communication skills. Also, the cleanliness and odor problems at other facilities have left a bad impression.The Village always smells nice and is very clean. The staff is always kind and greets everyone who walks through the door. The staff is eager to meet the residents' needs. You cannot beat the entertainment, beautiful location and views.

I have always loved Apple Village. I worked there when it first opened 19 years ago and left 6 years later to have a family. I came back to work at Apple Village 3 1/2 years ago. Apple Village is a wonderful place to work. The administrator and other managers are great to work with and always go out of their way to take care of the residents. Apple Village has a home like setting and the staff love the residents like family. It is a happy and positive environment.

I love how open, light and calming this building is. Real plants inside and sky lights. The staff works hard to make sure the residents are happy and taken care of. They also have the most activities compared to other places I've visited. I will be helping my mother move in soon because I know it's the best place out there!

The activities people are excellent at planning and executing great activities for the residents keeping the active and involved. I was able to stay with my wife during my visits and partake in the meals with her for a very fair $12.00 per day for a good tasty fare. A beautiful and well maintained facility. The staff is excellent, kind to the residents, caring and hard working. As my wife took a very steep decline in her last four weeks of life, I did move my wife to a intense nursing care facility for total hands on care. All in all... ... ... I would recommend this facility to anyone with memory care issues.
