I interviewed many of the people who live in the facility prior to bringing in my mother-in-law and all of them said they loved living here. That says a lot! There is a lovely outdoor spot for peaceful relaxation and tons of great activities. It's definitely a wonderful place if you are seeking an assisted living facility.

Johnny and the crew at Avamere don't just talk the talk about building a community, they walk the walk with love. A year and a half ago we moved our dad from his home to Avamere. We were scared, didn't know how he would take the move, how well he would get along with the other residents. Our dad was a very difficult, very lovable man. The staff worked with the difficult, saw and brought out the lovable, and gave my dad the best year and a half of the last 10 years of his life! His care was impeccable, he was able to make friends, enjoy activities, and we were able to know he was safe in spite of his COPD and dementia. On one of our last visits with our dad, after getting a big hug and having a great connection moment with a staff member, he turned to me shyly and said that these people don't just work there, they are his friends. He felt loved every day of his life because of this staff and community. I cannot imagine a greater testament. At the end of his life, the support that we received as a family, the dedication to respecting his wishes and helping us navigate the end of life journey.... I honestly just cannot thank Johnny and his staff enough.

Avamere has been one of my favorite Assisted Livings in Utah. They have amazing residents who are always walking around with a smile. Out and about, staying lively and always doing so many fun activities. I am a Hospice nurse and frequent a lot of Assisted Livings here in Utah, and Avamere is one of the absolute best. I would refer my own family to stay at Avamere. The staff is very kind and caring. I would recommend my own family to Avamere because I know they would be cared for well, with love. The Executive Director Johnny is always welcoming with the biggest smile and upbeat attitude. He has passion for what he does and it shows. I've seen him at the building on late nights and weekends. I see him more out of his office than in. Many times out on the floor helping the CNAs take care of the residents, I've seen him in the kitchen helping out, helping move in and feel so welcomed. It's a hard transition for family and resident when moving from home into an assisted living and Johnny does an exceptional job ensuring the transition is as smooth as possible, going the extra mile to make residents and family feel at home. I've even seen him fix toilets.. truly a team player. He even gets to have some fun himself by setting up and dealing poker and playing cards and going on bus outings with the residents. I've had many years as a nurse coming into Avamere, so I have been lucky to witness a lot of love and care. The Nurse Vicky is always very attentive and happy to answer all my questions and will stop to listen and be there when you need her. Lacy is the resident care coordinator and she is so fun to be around. So fun, so kind and so caring. She is always there for her team and I'm pretty sure the employees love her just as much as the residents do. She knows the residents so well and she goes out of her way to ensure everyone feels special and loved by bringing them special treats and snacks that she knows they like and if someone isn't feeling well she will sit with them and give them her time even if it's just to hold their hand or play their favorite music for then. She brings her amazing dog for some much needed pet therapy. The staff all together does a great job and works well together fulfilling an amazing life for our seniors and I have had the pleasure of witnessing so May great things. Taking care of our elderly - is not only a hard job, but often a thankless one at that. So today I wanted to take the time to point out the great job they are doing here at Avamere. Thank you for all you do and continue to do each day.

Our mother needed additional help so we looked into several assisted living places. We were impressed with Mountain Ridge. We went unannounced. We went during off hours. We went different times to see what things were like on different days and at different times. After much consideration, we felt it a good fit for our mother. We feel comfortable having our mother cared for there. Our phone calls and questions are answered immediately. The staff members are kind and helpful. The meals are very good and of great variety. In the summer there are weekly BBQ's on the patio. The activities rival those of a cruise ship. Everyday a schedule is posted of the day's activities. Johnny and the staff work very hard to provide the best care possible.

Bravo. They changed my expectations for quality facilities. They attend to the needs of the resident.. I don't think mom ever goes more than 2 hours without someone checking on her. We moved our mother here 6 months ago and we're so pleased with the care she is receiving. The staff have gone out of their way to make her feel comfortable and enjoy every day. They have connected with her on a personal level and have shown many examples of how much they care about her safety and over all well-being. Our mother loves the food, feels safe, has made good friends and is happier than she has been in a long while. We definitely recommend Avamere at Mountain Ridge.

My grandma was just moved to this assisted living center and oh my word, it is beyond wonderful! I have truly never seen more friendly staff who take as much times as possible with the residents. They are kind and caring and it is amazing to see. The facility is clean and bright and every effort is made to be sure the residents are comfortable and have what they need. The food is amazing and each meal time, the residents are treated like they are at a restaurant. Truly, just so sweet. And last, I just can't get over that the staff, and especially the owner or manager (sorry not sure what is his official title), make sure the residents know this is their home and they are grateful they are there and they are thankful these sweet older women and men would allow them to take care of them. No words for how highly I would recommend this place! I'm just beyond grateful for how they have treated my grandma and quite honestly, everyone who walks through their doors.

As someone who has worked in the health field and care centers for at least a decade, I was disappointed in what I saw today while visiting a friend. We were visiting during meal times today. Lack of staffing in the dinning room (memory care), patients were struggling to eat their food or asleep. Not one staff asked if they needed help or check on them. I had to help one lady open her butter that she was struggling to open it. (staff walked by and saw multiple times) Main concern was no one was in the room when taking back a patient to their room. What if someone started choking? I was also shocked how the staff would talk to the patients "Hey! What's up (name)?!" Slangs being used. (Keep in mind they don't know this stuff, they're older plus their memory isn't well) Sloppy performance in engaging with patients and doing any jobs. Your staff must not like being at work or doesn't have the passion to be driven at work. Place is pretty and the food looks good, but the compassion for the patients could be better. More staffs in the room and make sure needs are addressed.

We had to move our mom into their Memory Care unit in March, and then our dad into the Assisted Living area in April. We truly appreciate this beautiful facility and everyone there. From the first phone call to Erika, to Johnny the Executive Director (who sat on the floor and put my moms new clothes hamper together for us), to the nursing staff, the kitchen staff and everyone else. They've been nothing but kind and so willing to help with everything, no matter what it is. We can't imagine how difficult all of this would be if our parents were living somewhere else... Everyone from the Executive Director, the wonderful lady who signed us up, the ladies at the front desk, the nurse, the gentleman who connected my father's tv and computer to the internet and others we've met, have been a joy to work with. Administrator Johnny is very hands on with the residents and staff, and makes sure everyone feels welcome and important and cared for. My Mother-in-Law moved to Mountain Ridge Assisted Living after living at 2 other assisted living facilities in the area. My family and I were so impressed with the care she received here. The apartment and facility has a homelike atmosphere and the staff ALWAYS had a helpful and caring attitude. Most impressive was how much happier my Mother-in-Law was while living here. The administrator Johnny is the most helpful and caring person and worked hard to make my Mother-in-Law's move to her new apartment a very positive experience for all of us. Another positive is that there is a nurse available every day, which was not the case in the other assisted living facilities. Nicole, the nurse who did my my Mother-in-Law's assessment, is one of a kind! I have never encountered another nurse that got along so well with my Mother-in-Law and is the awesome caregiver that Nicole is. I am happy to recommend Mountain Ridge Assisted Living to anyone looking for a warm and friendly place for a loved one who needs that extra care.

Mountain Ridge is a GREAT place to be!!! I love it so much! The care they provide is extraordinary and the food is great! Kirsten Stephens, the food director, is fantastic! My Grandma was able to spend the last months of her life in the memory care unit at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living. She was well cared for and had a peaceful time in her apartment at mountain ridge. The staff was always helpful and friendly and the facility is very clean and well run. My family is grateful for all the care she received. My name is Andrea Chavez and I have been an employee of Mountain Ridge for almost 13 years. It has truly given me the tools and experience to grow in my profession. I started out as a CNA, moved to a Med Tech and assistant to the Memory care Director. I then moved into the Business Office for 5 years. For the past 3 years I have been working as the Health Services Director. It has been the best career move I made in my 17 years of working. I have worked in other health care businesses and nothing compares to the care and compassion we give our residents. I am not afraid to stand up for their rights and will not stand for anyone to them away. We have awesome C.N.A.'s that are compassionate and very protective of their extended family. The other directors in the community are top notch. Our goal is to have our families come in and enjoy their loved ones rather than having to work or be upset that something is not happening.

My mother has been living at M.R. assisted living since July 2013. Upon arrival on move in day we met the staff and they seemed very nice, but one would expect that. In the following months, I have gotten to truly know the staff and they are amazing. They are sincere in their care and worry. The activities manager, Sheryl, (aka barney) is hilarious! She and her staff have wonderful activities, field trips, drives, parties, socials....and the list goes on and on. They are always happy, upbeat, and fun to hang out with...even if I don't live there. LOL The food service manager Keirsten, is freekin amazing!!! To look at her, she is young, skinny and blonde and appears to have no business in the kitchen. What an error in thinking. She is wonderful. I was fortunate enough to have a cup of French Onion Soup one night. It smelled good, although it wouldn't have been my first choice. But I was offered a cup and my mom always says, accept gifts with gratitude, so I did. I was happily surprised! It was so delicious! This soup was not too salty and had a rich flavor. I don't know what the cheese thing was on top, but I mean to find out how she spins her magic in the kitchen....and that was just the soup!! Keirsten is so approachable to answer all my many questions from, what happens when the electricity is out, to where do you get your hamburgers. I cannot express my adoration enough about her. Now, what does my mother who lives there think? Everyday I see her, she says "There is never a bad meal here. They are all delicious!" There is plenty of variety of dinners so mom doesn't get sick of the same old stuff. Also, they are very accommodating with special requests, or requests when mom is sick and requires just broth or other things. The one draw back or complaint from my mother is the dinning room is always cold. The other morning it was 58 on the thermostat. It was not set at that temp, but that is how cold the room was. The next 2 days it was warmer, but then it registered at 64 on the 4th day. Seems it should be a lot warmer for senior citizens!

When my Mom could no longer live alone and needed help that was available 24hrs a day, I hoped that I could get her into Mountain Ridge. After an assessment, they welcomed my Mom into their facility. From the day we moved her into there, I was very happy with the atmosphere and the assistance that she was given. My Mom ended up living there for just over a year and a half before she just recently passed. All the Med Techs and all the Aids took such good care of Mom. My Mom truly Loved everyone there! The staff there is some of the best people I have worked with. Adrienne was so good to work with in the Business Office. I just have to say that I Loved the care my Mom received there, and I Love and Miss each and everyone of the people that work at Mountain Ridge. They are the Best!!!

The community events hosted by Mountain Ridge are amazing! My kids look forward to the Easter egg hunt, pumpkin walk and trick-or-treating/carnival every year. Our family has been so delighted we placed our mother at Mountain Ridge! I am a former RN case management director for a very large multihospital company. I was required to know the nursing homes and assisted living facilities within the state of Utah. I would visit facilities during the middle of the night and at other "vunderable times", and do a "whiste glove test" so to speak. I did this so I would feel good when making recommendations to family members of hospitalized patients. Mountain Ridge staff are wonderful and they have a great management team. The satff/management really care about Mom and the other residents. You can "feel" their sincerity. I have never received a feeling that it just "a job" for them. They are so engaged with the residents. The residents always appear happy and well cared for. The layout of the facility, safety features, food, health care services, and activities are the best. Adriene Moore is an exceptional "go to" person with any concerns or questions. She is always welcoming and quickly responds. It is a great feeling to know when your love one is well taken care of. This secure feeling is the results of great people and facilities at Mountain Ridge.
