Valencia was our first stop on pur journey to find a memory care center for our mom. Natalie gave us a tour and was compassionate and understanding to what we were going through. The memory care wing was clean and beautiful. The outdoor area is also very nice and well kept. The staff was every friendly as well. I would definitely recommend Valencia to anyone who is going through the same thing we were. Thank you Natalie for all your help. I really appreciate it.

We took a tour with Natalie Wade, she was very friendly. We were impressed she knew the names of the residents we passed in the hall. She showed us a room that was available. Answered all our questions thoroughly. She wasn't too pushy like many of the other facilities we visited. She offered some options to accommodate our needs and concerns for my dad. She has replied promptly to text messages I have sent to her. I have 5 siblings and 3 of us want to put my dad in Valencia but two do not. They have agreed to care for him through the summer. We will be contacting Natalie again when our situation changes.

Valencia made the transition from rehab to their facility so easy and seamless, however, after him being there a couple weeks, we decided that the level of care Valencia provided was more than he needed at this time and so we made the decision to move him back home. Valencia is a great place. The staff was so helpful and when the time comes that my father needs that extra care, they will be the 1st place on our list.

When we were preparing paperwork and everything that needs to be done before admitting our relative, Valencia was very helpful in answering our questions and helping us to complete the paperwork. Valencia took care of us up until the passing of our relative. The attendance were very thoughtful and helped Jim to feel comfortable and clean. It’s a secure facility that is well attended by the helpers. The price was extremely reasonable for all the amenities and care. We would highly recommend it for anyone’s loving relatives.

Dementia is difficult! Finding the Valencia, for my mom was an answered to so many prayers! She was struggling with late stages of dementia. It came to the point where she could no longer be cared for in our home. Not only was she able to find a home at Valencia where they cared for her she was able to have her small dog live with her. It was a game changer and her happiness. Everyone was so caring for my mom and fell in love with her sweet dog also. Our family is so incredibly grateful to Valencia at Draper and the entire staff for the loving care they gave our mom. From our very first tour to meeting with Natalie to sign contracts, we always had positive interactions and felt heard. When it came time to find an assisted living community that also offered memory care if she ever needed it, I did a lot of research. In the end, we just felt really good about Valencia ” and we’re so thankful we trusted that feeling. Mom loved the activities and built sweet friendships with other residents. She absolutely adored Julio in the kitchen ” they formed a real friendship that meant so much to her and to us. The nurses, Alison and Ashleigh, were always communicative and available ” even in the middle of the night if we needed something. That kind of responsiveness brings so much peace to a family. We were especially grateful that Mom could have her dog, Chloe. They had an apartment with a walk-out sliding door, which was such a blessing. Everyone loved Chloe, and we never had to worry about her being cared for if Mom wasn’t up to it. Connor, the director, is truly wonderful. I’ll never forget a time when Mom was at a very low point and didn’t want to leave her room for dinner. We were worried she was starting to give up. Connor gently went in, helped her into her wheelchair, and before I knew it, he was wheeling her down to dinner. It was such a simple but beautiful act of kindness. He even dressed up as Santa at Christmas. They always had lots of great activities and a family event to attend each month! There really aren’t words to fully describe the care our mom received. We were a very involved family and communicated often, which was helpful. We will always be grateful our mom spent her final year there!

I appreciate the sense of urgency from Connor and how quickly he was able to assist the family I was working with. It was a very difficult decision to move our mom into memory care. When I met with Natalie she was very caring and reminded me that memory care has two important concerns: cleanliness and safety. We have found Valencia at Draper to be very clean. And the staff is always looking out for the residents safety. Our mom is very happy here! They have daily activities for residents too. Valencia took good care of my Mom. She was able to get the peace she needed while she recovered from a lengthy hospital stay to the point where she was able to move back out into an independent lifestyle again. Natalie was amazing the whole through from beginning to end. The only con we experienced was some of the hidden prices such as a $5 room service delivery fee per meal.

I searched many assisted living centers before I found Valencia of Draper. After my tour, I didn’t need to look any further. This is the place! It’s a beautiful building with large rooms and an inviting garden/patio area with grass and trees. We decided on a room with a walk out door to the patio area. The room was freshly painted with new floors and very inviting to my dad. The care coordinator, Natalie, took so much time on the tour to show me all the areas of the center. The beautiful gathering area with fireplace in the main entry. The large and clean dining room. The spacious activity room. It was so warm and inviting. She answered all of my questions and greeted my dad upon arrival. Her team of angels are amazing! Allison, the wellness director, assessed his medical needs with medication, transfer assistance and personal care. Ashleigh, the care coordinator, met with my dad to ask him about his needs with shower assistance, laundry and housekeeping. Leila, the director of activities, stopped by with a daily list of activities. Lupe, the dining director, stopped by to ask about what food he likes or dislikes. Gustavos, the help with everything guy, offered to help moved him in, finished the last few chores to get his room ready and even brought tools to assemble some furniture. This team of people made my dad’s move seamless and pleasant. They were warm and inviting and my dad feels very comfortable, safe and happy here.

I recently spent several weeks at Valencia as a respite resident recovering from surgeryI found it to be a very wonderful place to be. The staff was very accommodating and I could never express my total gratitude to Conner Olvera /Marketing Director as he went above and beyond to make my stay there as comfortable and accommodating as possible!! He is so much more than the Marketing Director and I hope his commitment to Valencia is as appreciated as it should be! The kitchen staff and servers were all great the food was always good. There is always some type of activity for the residents to enjoy. And the facility is very well kept and clean. Valencia is certainly a place where I would trust the care of a loved one and a place I would consider going for Assisted Living!

Everyone here is sooo kind! I never have any complaints when I go visit my grandfather, he always talks about how great everything is and how kind everyone is. There don’t seem to be very many recent reviews here on Google, so I figured I’d share my experience for anyone looking for up-to-date information on this place. Escalante of Draper is an absolutely wonderful home. After my mom survived a terrible fall (and subsequent stays in the ICU and rehab hospital) I toured seven different assisted living facilities before choosing this place. The one big difference was that the director introduced me to the residents and let me get their perspective before making a decision. The staff are now slowly becoming like family to me. They bend over backward for their residents, and believe me- my mom was about as cranky as a person could be when she showed up, and often still is. They have offered her endless patience and love. Her second night there, the MAs made rounds to bring bedtime snacks and check on her. I was leaving from a visit, but heard my mom’s helper Rene say, Good night- I’m so glad you’re here- we love you! One evening she walked out in the hall to ask for headache medicine and the chef was the first to see her, ran right to the med tech to alert him. When she felt uncomfortable with an outside home health nurse (not an employee of Escalante) helping her with showers, the MAs and nurse on staff told her, You just say no, I’m uncomfortable, and press your call button for one of us to come be with you. We never want you to feel forced into something, or nervous, or scared. They give my mom dignity, respect, and they communicate with me. When she had a bad memory day and wandered off the property, they gently helped her, then called and texted me immediately (thank you Michelle.) They gave me the chance to talk with her first, so as not to make her feel embarrassed, and they continue to monitor her cognition. Making the choice to move a loved one into an assisted living facility can be very difficult, but finding this place felt like an anvil was lifted off my shoulders. Brad, Shauna, Jenny- the entire kitchen staff, all the MAs and med techs- they’re just wonderful. I know particular management teams can make a difference, so hopefully this crew sticks around and gets the proper recognition for the incredible work they do. If you’re interested in this place, call Shauna and talk with her. She answered about a thousand questions, let me cry in her office, and kept her promise that my mom would be taken care of. Can’t thank her, and everyone at Escalante of Draper, enough.

I would not let my loved ones live there under any circumstance. The rent is way to high, they are seriously understaffed. In my opinion ISl only care about the money. I've seen and heard things I cannot discuss. The residence deserve better.

I absolutely love Escalante at draper. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by a smile from the receptionist. Their staff is always willing to go above and beyond for the residents. Escalante has a beautiful facility that is well maintained that makes you feel at home. This is a wonderful place to intrust the care of your family members.

I Love Escalante of Draper! I visit there pretty often. Everyone there is so kind and makes me feel welcome. The people who live there always look so happy. I can tell they are well cared for. My mother lived at Wentworth at Draper for 6 years. So loved it and felt like it was home. The staff was attentive and very kind to her. I thought the food was average but she loved it. She had access to religious services, physical therapy (Randy was fabulous) and hair dressing services not to mention social events when she felt like she wanted to participate. It was easy to visit her and even take her out to a movie or dinner. It was difficult when COVID hit as we had just put her on hospice and could not see her in person. Just prior to her passing the end of June we had a hard time getting in to see her while she was still coherent. That would be my only negative experience with them. I understand their need to be cautious but my mother was dying, there was no longer a need to protect her. All in all I would recommend the Wentworth at Draper. It worked very well for my family

1.) My mom just passed on July 9th. She quit eating on June 27. This experience with her is terrible beyond words. She was put on hospice and we were told family could see her. Another terrible experience with the staff. At the very end, July 8th, the "head" nurse told us that mom's 3 children could not go in together to see her - only 2 of us. Because my 2 siblings were from out of town, I let them go in because I had been with mom all along. On July 9th my mom was in absolutely devastating condition! Still only 2 of her children at a time. At that point in the afternoon the "Head" nurse told us that mom was not "ACTIVELY DYING"! She was displaying ALL signs of active dying. My sister and I went in to see her early in the evening and were told that when mom was "actively dying" we would be told and then it would take mom 1-3 days to die. By the way, THEN we could all go in to see her. THEY WOULD CALL US! 11:25 PM that night, all alone, mom passed and we had never received a call after we left her early in the evening. OUR QUESTION TO THE WENTWORTH: Has mom begun the process of "actively dying"? 2.) One other problem: Mom was not unable to move or get up and yet on June 27th she had bed sores. QUESTION: Why? 3.) Having asked nurses, med-tecs, secretaries, hospice, to give mom soups and puree for her meals starting June 27th., she was NEVER changed to that kind of diet. She could barely open her mouth and they were bring her BLT sandwiches, eggs and bacon and toast - everytime tell me that they would tell "them" that the food had to be soft. For all those days, I brought in things that she could drink and helped her with it. I understand that you are dealing with COVID. However, mixing a bit of common sense and decency to the way families are treated at the end should also be a corporate concern. Just as an added note, they allowed 4 of us into her room the night before she died. About 5 minutes after we entered, a person entered mom's room abruptly and told us that 2 had to leave "Immediately". My son told them that since we were already there let us just finish saying good-bye to grandma and 2 would leave. Not 2 minutes later 2 persons came in and abruptly told us that the police would be called if 2 didn't leave IMMEDIATELY. We were AMAZED. No one had raised voices or disagreed. My son just wanted to finish saying good-bye to his grandma who we knew was dying even if the "head" nurse had not declared it "active dying".

I have worked closely with the staff and residents at the wentworth of Draper. The staff has done a wonderful job with our patients. They give great care and their nurse Michelle is top notch. They always have fun activities for the residents to do. Nate Binks Brighton Hospice

The staff at the Wentworth are amazing. They are friendly, welcoming, and treat their residents with kind, loving care. If we have any concerns about my mother, they are addressed immediately. The staff, in our opinion, goes above and beyond. My mother has lived there almost a year and we are extremely pleased that we found the Wentworth. We feel like there is not a better place in Salt Lake.

The staff are very dedicated to their work and taking care of the people who live at Wentworth. They genuinely care about the well being of the residents, you can see the relationships that have been built between residents and staff members. Housekeeping is wonderful, always willing to address any issues that may come up. They work hard to keep the building nice and clean. The residents are friendly and welcoming, which is great especially if you are the new person on the block. It is an easy community to get involved in, they always seem to have fun activities to attend. Overall The Wentworth is a fantasic Assisted Living and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

I stayed at another facility prior to coming to The Wentworth and I had many problems at that facility. Since coming here it's like I've found paradise! The spirit here is a healing spirit and the staff and people here are very kind. The staff wants you to do well here and it shows in all that they do. Everyone really wants to provide a first class healing environment. I feel very much at peace here, which allows me to relax and heal. The dining room staff provides excellent meals that are very tasty and pleasing to eat and they really care about what they're doing in there. This is a critical component since food is essential to our well being. I can't believe my good fortune to find a place like this that cares so much about me.

A transition to an assisted living facility is difficult, at best, but from the beginning I’ve felt The Wentworth to be my home. Everyone here has been thoughtful, helpful and caring. I feel that the CNA’s take their jobs seriously and are accommodating. The Med Techs are very careful in dispensing the medication. Mike handles the business end and although he manages the entire facility, he is friendly and makes himself available to all. The secretaries on staff are efficient and help the residents in many ways. The nurse on staff, Loretta, and her staff are caring and do their jobs well. I personally think the food staff does a good job with what they have; but I feel that this is an area that needs a little more help money wise. Those of us who love to eat would like fresh vegetables and meats. I’m especially delighted with the activities directors, Monica and Kourtnee. They are caring, love their jobs, do them well and love the residents. I would not hesitate to recommend The Wentworth to anyone who would like to live with an efficient and caring staff. My dad has been living in the Wentworth for 2 years. I don't have any complaints. They are friendly and kind and respond very quickly when I call. The food and the care is really good and the atmosphere is upbeat and not depressing. My dad said that everyone is very nice to him. I enjoy going to visit him at the Wentworth. They are just as kind to me. My dad feels right at home there. I have been very happy with all of the employee's.

My mom loved this place. They were so accommodating and made her feel welcome. It was comforting to know that mom was in a safe environment with loving people. LeighAn, Lorretta, Sharon, and America are wonderful caregivers. After hearing horror stories about abuse of the elderly, it was nice to find a place that we trusted to take care of our mom. I wish she could have stayed forever, but Dad needed skilled nursing and she wanted to be with him.

The staff is amazing...everyone from housekeeping to the dining room, the nurse and the care staff our top notch. I have been very impressed with how long so many of the staff members have been employed at Wentworth at Draper, over 80% of the staff has been there over 6 years or longer, that shows a lot to me, additonally, they are very sweet and always willing to help.
