My mother lived in New Haven Wylie for 7 months. They were very kind and respectful to my mom. Elizabeth, the director was very responsive to all questions whether texting or calling, she always would get back to me. Elizabeth is a very caring person. Let me state at the outset that getting New Haven to STOP pulling money from my My mother-in-law's bank account is taking an act of congress!! She has been gone since December (hospital) and I think New Haven knew they were not going to allow her to return due to a pressure wound, but they allowed us to think she could. So they continued withdrawing December and January. After that, we moved her elsewhere because they refused to let her come back - on short notice, leaving us scrambling to find another place. (hence, 3 stars) We have had a permanent stop pay filed against them, and our bank has had to pull back $5300, $4400, $8800, and today, 3/10/2026, $3500. We have now been forced to notify the AG Office to hopefully stop them from attempting anymore withdrawals. (hence, 3 stars) With that said, we chose New Haven because we loved the room sizes, layout and ease of getting around. The staff was phenomenal, with one exception of an aid who was being hateful and physical with her, but I straightened that aide out real quick and, to my knowledge, it never happened again. The outside is not attractive, with no covered pickup/delivery, but that's a minor rub. The inside and the staff makes up for any outside shortcomings. The food was good, activities were abundant and cleanliness was excellent. He clothes were lost and we were given someone else's clothes, unbeknownst to us - so better attention to laundry could be a big improvement. All in all, as long as you plan to leave your loved one there, I think you would like New Haven. We wish we could have resolved our issues without having to report to the AG Office, but it is now in their hands.

Both of my parents have lived at New Haven in Wylie. Three years ago my father lived in the Memory Care side. Recently my mother lived in the Assisted Living side. The care they both received was wonderful. The director, the chefs, the caregivers , and the program coordinator were all involved in the wellbeing of both my parents. I felt confident in the care they received and knew they were being loved on when I couldn’t be with them.

Not only is this building well kept, beautiful, and new, the bells and whistles don't tell half the story. The care here is excellent, the patients here are happy and Yashica is top notch as an administrator. My company which works with company couldn't be more happy with the service and our clients that live here says the same. I make it a point to make a visit weekly and leave motivated. WHAT A PLACE! Thanks Yashica and staff for a friendly attitude helpful and inviting environment

I have been a social worker for a long time. I have rarely seen a facility that offers such great care to their patients. It starts at the top and Yashica as the ED sets her staff apart. They are so caring and sweet to their patients. When the time comes for me to place my mother somewhere, New Haven is my first choice, bar none.

My Mom has called New Haven her home for 11 months and absolutely adores the staff. The director has taken on my Mom’s personal issues (like going to pick up Rx when I was out of town). The activities director celebrates every holiday and makes my Mom feel well loved. The cooking staff has meetings with the residents to make sure food is to their liking. The nursing/meds staff helps keep her multiple Rx managed and delivered with love. In my Mom’s wordsI love it here!

We moved my mother-in-law into New Haven in May. The facility is very nice with only 16 rooms which we liked because of the individual personal care each one receives. The new manager, Yasheca is doing a great job. We are especially fond of Kinyata who keeps everyone smiling and Karen one of the nurses who takes such good care of our loved ones.

This facility is fantastic! My mom lives here and fully enjoys it. The director, Yashica is the best! She is the most caring loving person. The activities director, Rose is also a fun person and always has some great artsy things for the residents to do.

My loved one was in New Haven when Yashica, Elizabeth and other wonderful staff were there. It is my understanding that Yashica & Elizabeth have returned. I cannot say enough wonderful things about how much they care for the residents as well as the staff. Their leadership & care at New Haven is what families look for when making these difficult decisions for our precious loved ones. They are available anytime you have questions and truly are in this role because they care, and that is what I was looking for. I am beyond thrilled to hear they are both back at New Haven!!

My Aunt has been at New Haven for almost a year. Kinyata and Nancy are amazing. They love on my Aunt, they cater to her needs and wants. For a family member this is exactly what she/we need. I would definitely recommend this facility as they are so attentive to her needs. I am very appreciative to Kinyata, Nancy and M’Chele for all they do. I love having people there I can trust to watch over my Aunt when I can’t be there. Thank you ladies.

UPDATE: Director called me & apologized, saying she’s been out ill for a few days. She sounded really sick! She gave me the info I was trying to get. (I have tried every extension on the phone answering menu and NO ONE answers the phone. I left a VM for the director two days ago & she never returned my call.)

My dad was diagnosed with Dementia 3 years ago. His behavior continued to be more aggressive. The siblings decided that it was best to find a memory care facility that would know better how to manage him. So I began looking for one in the area. I spent several hours on the phone setting up appointments to visit different facilities. New Haven was the only one who could meet with me that day. Stephanie answered the phone and told me to come on over for a tour. She was so kind and never acted like it was a bother to answer all my questions. I left New Haven and called her back to admit dad. She waited on me to return. We did the paperwork and admitted dad the next week. This was the best decision I ever made! Stephanie was so patient and caring. The care givers have become part of our family! The way they take care of the residents is amazing! Most of the days the residents are a handful, but because of the love of their jobs, they are so patient and kind! It is a pleasure to see them everyday. I would highly recommend New Haven to anyone having to make the difficult decision of having to place a family member. Jan
