Took mom to Garnett Hill for in patient rehab. Staff was all very very nice and her room was cleaned every day. Brandy in PT was amazing - the whole PT crew was!! Mom said the food wasn’t too bad either! Happy with her experience there and all staff treated her.

The only concern I have is that the way they advertised it and market it give the impression they will take you anywhere you need to go like the grocery store or pharmacy to pick up something. They won’t do that. You have to have somebody else to do it for you, which is a pain. It just means misleading in their advertising.

Garnet Hill is truly one of the best facilities in Collin County. My mother was previously at two other facilities and she didn’t have a good experience at either one. Garnet Hill accepted her Medicaid pending and it was a quick transition. It is a beautiful, well maintained, And everyone there seems to love what they are doing, caring for people. The staff go over and beyond to make you feel welcome and make the residents feel like they are in their own home. It has a very comfortable and cozy atmosphere. There are so many activities, music, fun, and entertainment that really help the residents to truly thrive. They just added a women’s Only Memory unit, it is so nice and the staff are amazing with all the ladies. The rooms here are very spacious and there are so many common areas for family visits, especially when several of us come at once. I highly recommend Garnett Hill if you have a loved one in need of memory care, long-term care, or even just a skilled need.

My dad was here for a few years and truly loved the place. We have been back to visit his friends a couple times and the nurses still stop us to say how much they miss him. He truly loved it there..an unexpected surprise as he was a very stubborn man. They took good care of him, the food is pretty decent and it never smells bad. I’d be happy to be there too when I get too old to care for myself.

Garnet Hill in Wylie took great care of my brother for the past nearly 2 years. He had Alzheimer’s. His favorite area was the outside patio. He always told us that the staff took good care of him. And the nurses told us many times that they loved my brother. Thank you Garnet Hill for caring for my brother.

This is one of the best nursing homes in Dallas and Collin County. It’s clean and doesn’t smell like urine when you walk into the facility, like other facilities do. The staff is awesome and they have a lot of activities during the week for residents.

This facility is absolutely outstanding. Every nurse, aid and assistant are so professional, loving and helpful. The staff genuinely cares about their patients and family. The facility itself feels like home..not a hospital. The Physical Therapy program is one of the best ones we have used. On a scale of 1 to 10 Garnet Hill Rehabilitation and skilled Care is a10++.

A Five Star Rating? Yes - my sweet mother Amparo was a resident at Garnet and it was a true partnership (daily) in caring for her during the ups and downs. The leadership and staff loved on my mother (AND our family) and were true advocates for her. She required the highest level of care in her advanced state. There’s nothing more unsettling about entrusting your loved one to someone else but the nursing staff is stellar and highly skilled (Ola, Juliette, Senait, Moses, and Justine). Thank you for your love, compassion, expertise, and support. You were a blessing to our family.

Michelle from Garnet Hill (housekeeping and laundry) is an excellent asset to Garnet Hill. She is very responsive and fast in carrying out requests for all her inpatients. She is very caring and does her requests with a big smile and love to all. If there was a higher amount of stars, I wouldn’t doubt to give her the highest possible. Garnet Hill staff does impressive work in an effort to facilitate the lives of patients with a variety of medical and physical problems. I have been particularly impressed by Tami Sandefer, who gives freely of her time and attention in response to concerns I have about my brother. In today's busy world, finding a person who truly cares about others is at times difficult. I have likewise been impressed by Burke (phonetic), a caretaker who is most patient in dealing with and caring for my brother.

Well I was there due to breaking my hip in half so basically there to be able to walk again ! And I’m a pretty upfront and will stand up for me and mine ! So I got what I needed But I have to say all nurse teams there is always a bad apple in the bunch and as well here too

My 90 yr old mother was at Garnet Hill Rehab for three short days. The staff there were exemplary - both nursing staff and the CN aides and care givers. The place has a great ambience and plenty of activities for the residents should they choose / are able to participate. Everyone is very friendly and helpful from the Admissions Director to the person cleaning the rooms. Thank you for the great care.

My uncle is currently in this facility. Whenever I visit I'm happy with the way the staff treat me and our family. He always appears to be clean and in good spirits. The staff assist him with what he isn't able to do for himself, and I leave the facility knowing he’s being well cared for. I appreciate having an administrator who provides his personal cell in case I ever need to reach him. Great job!

Garnett Hill has a nice facility, BUT the lack of dedicated staff is a huge problem. They are extremely understaffed and that causes numerous problems for the patients, their families and extra pressure on the few staff members.

I started volunteering here beginning August 10, 2018 to play piano on Friday afternoons. This is a great place to be and everyone is nice, patient, and understanding. Although I played virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions for over a year, I appreciate that consideration for residents' health, still present in the mandatory temperature checking before entry is allowed.

My mom was placed here for physical rehabilitation after a stay in the hospital. She is 80 and after the hospital she was very weak and could not support her own weight to get up from the bed or walk with her walker. She did not want to go to rehab but we felt if she could get some aggressive therapy she would be able to come home in the capacity she left for the hospital in. (The ability to get up from her chair, on to the walker and into the bathroom with little assistance). The doctors strongly agreed that she go to rehab so we agreed. She was transported to Garnet Hills late on Friday night. She did not receive any therapy on Saturday or SundayI assume because it was the weekend. However, she could not get any nurse or CNA to help her get out of the bed to sit in a chair or wheelchair for that weekend. Soshe laid in the bed all that time. Monday came and she received 30 minutes of therapy. She returned to her room in the wheelchair. I visited her and before I left she wanted to get out of the chair and back into the bed. I called for a nurse. After waiting 45 minutes no one showed up to help us. I managed to get her back by myself. Later that evening she called me to say that she could not get anyone to reposition her in the bed. She has called for someone 2x . I went back up there to help her turn over to prevent bed sores from developing. At 2:30 AM she called me crying because she had been laying on the bedpan for over 2 hours and nobody would come help her. I called the facility and demanded that someone go help her. Someone did finally go help her. My mom begged to come home. As soon as the facility opened I went and told them she was leaving. I will say that administration was very helpful and very nice to me while getting her discharged. I felt like they truly cared. (The help of administration at least bumped up this rating from 1 to 2). Unfortunately, those that were actually responsible for taking care of my Mom and helping her to get better fell extremely short. I admire and respect nurses, especially in this time we are living in. But, patients are human and they deserve the best quality of life possible. If you don’t like your job, find another one.but don’t take your frustrations out on innocent elderly people who are just looking for help.

All my concerns have been abswered when i had questions about my family members stay. You can tell they deffinetly care about there patients! It makes my heart happy when i visit seeing all the smiling patients, i look forward to my visits between the outstanding workers and happy patients with plenty of conversations. I can not reccomend this place enough. Sending a loved one away is hard but if you do it this is your spot!

My family member was just here and I have to say how impressed I am with the quality of service provided. Admissions was an easy process. Therapy was excellent and got my family member back to being mobile. The discharge was just as easy and home health and equipment was ordered and arranged before we even left.
