In honor of National Activities Professionals Week, I'd like to shout out OUR activities department led by Marvin Hall and his assistant Della Blevins. Dedication is the first word that comes to mind when I think about Marvin and Della. They always put our residents first, whether it be rain, sleet, or snow they are here fully engaged with our residents. AND Marvin still finds the energy to do something extra for the staff at Caraday of Fort Worth. We are truly BLESSED to have such a hard-working and compassionate activities department. I would like to thank a few people that helped me get my mother comfortable at Caraday it was a very hard decision for my family, I have been taking care of my mother with dementia for 6 years at home and it got to a point where she needed 24hr care. So i decided to put mom where i work and that was the best decision i have made for her.Ron, Shelley and Cecilia i just want to thank you'll for your hard work and dedication getting mom comfortable. Ron thank you for always keeping me updated on everything and working hard to get mom transferred from home to the facility set up. It was stress free for us.Yall are AWESOME!

My Mother has been in the Memory care unit for a month now. The Nurses who work with her have been awesome, very patient and understanding. This is my first time dealing with having to have fulltime care for my Mother. She has specifically said she has been treated well by everyone but the food is not good were her exact words. The facility is very clean and there are no unpleasant odors like so many nursing facilities I have been in. My personal experiences with her Nurses has been comforting for me knowing they are a good fit for her. Thank you to all the Veranda Nursing staff !

As a Carday employee. I think it's important to recognize and give flowers to outstanding co-workers and departments publicly. Mr. Marvin Hall is our new Activities Director. The work he has done thus far has been a tremendous blessing for our building and specifically our residents. They have voiced their gratefulness to have him on the team loud and clear. A huge thank you to Tammy Moss for answering all our questions in detail and making our family members admission pleasant, also a thank you to the staff we came in contact with on his first day. This may be an older building but it is clean ,comfortable and the care so far has been good and that's what really matters.

Don't judge a book by its cover. This facility has amazing and caring staff. They have made this transition for my grandmother smooth. She is attending activities and eating like there is no tomorrow she brags about how the "fancy dinning room serves her extra". My grandma loves this place and I could not be happier! Thank you and your staff.

This is a wonderful facility. Don't let that it's an older building influence you because the caregivers more than make up for it. We had the flashy new building with poor care and that's not worth it. Staff is friendly and attentive. Upon check in over a month ago, we were so impressed starting with the first nurse. There is always getting in a new routine and lining care out but it's been worth it. We are very thankful.

I would like to take a moment and thank the staff that took great care of my husband this past weekend. When I decided to take a 2 day trip with my sister it was really hard for me to make the decision to put my husband in a facility for Respite care. He was in a longterm care unit not this one during covid and it was a totally nightmare. Please, Please don't every determine a facility for your love one because it's new or even fancy. Caraday is a older care center but let me tell you. The staff greeted us when we entered the facility and they took excellent care of my husband. When we arrived home I asked him did they take good care of him and he raised his hand to signal yes. I asked him if I have to leave again would he be okay staying there for a few days and he signaled yes. I wanted to cry because it's important to know that your love one is being left in good hands. Thank you so much Caraday for providing love and care to those that are in trusted in your hands.

I never in a million years would have thought as an RRT I would leave the hospital setting. Covid did a number on everyone in healthcare and at times respiratory felt like we were pushed in the shadows. When I met our Director here, Mr Allen Ford, I knew this would be the place I would continue my career. Our director will walk through fire for us, there's not a day that goes by that we do not know how much we are appreciated. Mr Ford will say that we are the backbone of our department and if we are not happy our department just will not work. I work with the best group of people you could ever ask for and that's in every department. I am so thankful God led me to this place I am one happy RRT. We are now becoming the first level one SNF in DFW, I still have vents and the beauty of it all, I have time to take care of my patients and have every bit of support that I need.
