The TEAM at Waxahachie is a true testament to our mission. I am a current Brookdale district associate. I live near the community and every time I stop in to work with the associates, I take an opportunity to spend time with the residents. They are clean, happy and living better lives. They are grateful for the care they receive from the associates and feel as though they are an extension of their family. Come in and experience this for yourself. I am blown away by the compassion and heart poured into the residents who have chosen to call Brookdale Waxahachie their home. Walking in the doors of this community is calming, inviting and gives me a sense of peace. If my parents ever decided to relocate and needed care, I would hands-down place my trust in this caring staff. Thank you for all you do daily to change and enhance lives. You are making a difference!

Visited my aunt today and it was nice to see her in good health . The nurses and caretakers are attentive and helpful as well. This is one retirement home that truly cares about the people who stay here.

I am delighted to have Brookdale-Wax caring for my sister. The Brookdale staff told me it took about a month for residents to settle in - and this certainly appears to be the case. For example, when I called my sister yesterday she picked up the phone laughing, said “I can’t talk. I’m in the middle of a project. Talk later” and hung up. With her memory problems I never thought she would actually enjoy being in Assisted Living, so I call this a huge success! - I can't speak highly enough about the wonderful care she is receiving.

My mom has been here since May 2022. Until six weeks ago her care was awesome. Something has changed and made this facility subpar. We have complained five times about mom not being bathed and her room smelling. They blame hospice but if hospice doesn’t do the job, then this care facility is suppose to do the work. I can’t imagine what mom would look like if her care was left entirely up to Brookdale staff. I asked to speak to the two who are in charge and one was in a meeting and the other has a 2.5 hour phone call. I will update this review if things get better or worse. Also, if I am able to speak to Amy or John and get some resolution. Please do not leave your parents here or anywhere without daily visits from family. If you skip a day…things always get worse.

My father lived here for 7 years. When he arrived, he was still able to drive. By the time he died, he could barely walk. Throughout all these years, everyone at Brookdale truly loved him and helped him above and beyond what was required. When he passed, they all cried with us and took care of us as well. I have nothing but great things to say about this place!

My mom has been living at Brookdale for 3 years now. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. It is hard to place your parent(s) in a facility, but I know she is being taken care of. During this COVID situation and not being able to see her, I love seeing the posts of what a great job they are doing keeping the residents entertained and well. My mom started living here in May 2019. We are so very pleased with this facility. Its a beautiful place and the staff couldnt be nicer. Its so scary placing your loved one in a strange place and praying that youve made the right decision. We feel she is in the perfect place. The ladies that run this facility have so much patience and always do their best to make you feel like you are their most important concern. Megan Sims the Sales Manager becomes an extension of your own family, as she loves these residents like they are her own grandparents! My husband and I visited brookdale. We were looking for a place for my mother in law. I was a bit nervous when we arrived not knowing what to expect but Megan made us feel so comfortable and really took the time to listen and explain everything to us. Everyone we met was so nice and the residents seemed to be well kept and very happy. They were having a bible study while we were there. I feel confident that when my mother in law is ready she will move here and be well cared for.

After having my Mom in Brookdale Waxahachie for at least a year and a half now, I feel it is about time I take the time to write a review. She is on the Alzheimer's side and I couldn't be more pleased with her care. The activities director is absolutely amazing. She understands the residents and truly cares for each and every one of them. She sings with them, laughs with them and makes them all feel very special. The Resident Assistants are amazing at taking the time for each resident. They get to know them and take care of them in a way that suits each one. Some they can say it's time for bed and once they get them in their bed, say good night and move on to the next. My mother is one of them that needs extra effort. Some nights, lots of effort! For a resident assistant to take the time to sit with her to give her comfort until she dozes off, to me is truly caring for my Mom. That's what they do. I visit my Mom everyday and watch the way these resident assistants handle each resident like they were their own. Because of them, I can sleep at night knowing my Mom is taken care of. I now also have experience with the assisted living side of Brookdale Waxahachie as we have had to put my husband's father in about 6 months ago when his Mom passed away. His dad was not able to live alone. His Mom and Dad had been married for 63 years so needless to say, the transition wasn't easy for his Dad. He had a lot of anger, anxiety, distrust just to name a few. The staff had to put up with a lot from him and believe me I'm not kidding. I felt the need to send them all flowers and candy on a weekly basis. If they had asked us to find another place for him we wouldn't have been surprised. But no, instead they felt for him, cared for him and worked even harder to help him thru such hard times. The understanding and patience they had with him was amazing. He appreciates them all now and its their efforts that got him to this point. I will end this review with a Thank You to each and every member of the staff at Brookdale Waxahachie as they are all wonderful.

They have taken care of my grandmother with advanced alzheimers for a year now. We go see her 4ish times a week and have never seen anything that gives us concern about the way any of the seniors there are being treated. Would highly recommend!

We had to move our 92 year old dad to assisted living at the end of January this year. He was no longer able to be safe by himself, but still able to be mobile. We honestly wished we would have moved him here sooner, but it was one of those decisions that was hard to make. He loved living there! The staff was wonderful and so kind and caring. And, the food was great! My dad was a foodie and loved the food. Unfortunately, my dad passed away in May, but he had a great 3 months at Brookdale. Thank you all for how you cared for my dad.

Brookdale Waxahachie is an assisted living community in Waxahachie. Delicious meals are served three times a day. Housekeeping is available once a week. There is 24 hour security. Daily activities are planned. When you walk in Brookdale, there are friendly people everywhere from the residents to the staff. The outdoor areas are pretty and inviting. These four staff ladies are especially kind and thoughtful: Donna, Megan, Trina, and Debbie.

My mom moved into Brookdale a few months ago. The staff has been friendly and helpful since day 1. There are activities all the time and sometimes outings. Mom has been made to feel welcome and so have we. Overall, a great place to be.

My dad has been at Brookdale for 3 years. We are super happy with the care he has received this whole time. Staff truly cares and loves on him. Makes all the difference in the world! Highly recommend Brookdale to anyone who wants to feel confident in the care of their loved ones.

The atmosphere is wonderful! Once you walk thru the door everyone has open arms for you, that is what put on my mind that this company would be for me. I'm a family person and everyone treats you like family. I will recommend people to come work here or even recommend your family member to make A Brookdale house their home.

The folks that work here are top notch! Debbie, the director is outstanding. Everyone in this facility is very friendly and very engaged in the lives of each and every tenant. I couldn't imagine not being a part of this wonderful place. Love to you all.
