We’ve worked with Lori Frost Life Enrichment Coordinator at Providence Park ( The Village) and now The Delaney, both facilities are in Waco. Lori has a very upbeat personality and is wonderful to work with. She’s one on one with the residents. She’s a keeper!

Came to visit new residents who are old friends. The campus is lovely as you enter. Good signage. Easy check-in and appropriate for security. My friends have a 2br apartment that is spacious with good natural light and nice views. Lunch and service were excellent.

I had a great experience during my time in the Baylor elder connection program. I gained so much wisdom from the elder I was paired with. The Delaney had so many things we could do as we learned from one another and that was very important. It gave the elders access to a variety of things to do and not just be contained to a room. I loved the freedom the elders have even if it is within the Delaney. They also provided meals for us when we visited and an end of the semester celebration. We celebrated all that we learned from one another and it brought so much joy to the elders and us. Thank you so much for this experience. Lori did a wonderful job facilitating this program! °

I am beyond words at the level of care, love and compassion my MIL has received. The transition was as smooth as we had prayed for. The staff have stayed in constant contact with us, keeping us updated on her progress even including pictures. From the beginning, first tour, and the process of leading up to finally determining it was time for the move, the entire staff at The Delaney are beyond excellent. I sit here with no soup!! I ordered it but I didn't get it. The housekeeping girls were so bad, I had to hire my own 3rd party company at my own cost. An example of their poor work is that they never even dusted the place. I asked them to put down a rug, the one girl did put it down but the other one refused and stood in the hall.

The Delaney at Lake Waco is a wonderful community for seniors. There is Independent Living, Assisted Living, and two Memory Care Neighborhoods, thus, something for everyone! It is a beautiful and well maintained facility with many, many activities for all residents. The staff is always available to assist with the needs of the residents. Food service is also excellent. If looking for a Senior Living facility, The Delaney at Lake Waco should be top of the list

It feels like home! I love the beautiful views from my living room and bedroom, as well as my patio. I have made new friends, and enjoy dining with them in the lovely dining room. The food is consistently delicious and varied. The residents are from many states, not just Texas. We enjoy good conversation, especially at meal time.

As your parents begin to age, you start to listen and notice what others are saying about assisted or independent living! Mom had a front row seat as she visited others ahead of her! About four years ago, mom had a surgery that required rehab on the back end. The Delaney Lake Waco was a perfect fit. They had PT available for mom and a staff that loved and cared for her. In some ways it has been a Waco reunion for her. She has met some of the dearest people that have brought laughter and joy to everyday life. We highly recommend the Delaney Lake Waco! As mom says, the food is pretty good, it’s actually really good since we eat with her quite often. From Candy and Alma at the front desk, Justin that sees her in after we’ve kept her on the go too late, the nursing staff that assist mom and Lori that handles activities and helped us surprise mom with the most beautiful 90th birthday party, it’s HOME!! The staff and care have been perfect for mom. It just provides the quality of life you hope for your parents to enjoy!

The Delaney at Lake Waco has been a true blessing for our family. The staff is warm, attentive, and always available when needed. My mom feels safe, supported, and truly at home. Lori and life enhancement team do an amazing job organizing fun social events and decorating for every holiday and celebration, making the atmosphere cheerful and welcoming. Mom especially enjoys the walking trail, the beautiful lake view, and chatting with friends during social hour before dinner. With ongoing renovations making things even nicer and adding new measures of security to keep the residents safe, we have complete peace of mind knowing she's happy and well cared for. Highly recommend!

My great grandmother lives at The Delaney and absolutely loves it. It is such a nice residence for anyone looking. This past weekend we had a joint birthday celebration in their main bistro area. It turned out fabulous! And without question would have not been pulled together the way it did without Lori! She is the Delaney’s Director of Life Enrichment and she pulled out all the stops! Helped me with not only serving supplies for the party, gifted us a “90” birthday balloon, was my florist putting all the bouquets together, cut and served the cake, and much more! Lori was there before the party to help set up, during to make sure everything was running smoothly, and helped with the clean up. Seriously above and beyond! I can’t say enough good things about her and all the staff that helped pull this party together. Forever grateful! ©’’

My in-laws live at the Delaney at Lake Waco, one in the memory care unit and one in the independent living area. We recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in the Great Hall. Lori made it extra special by providing tables, chairs and drinks and anything else we needed. It was fabulous and just turned out wonderfully! I would give the Delaney more stars if I could!

I have had to find a “home” for all four of my wife and my parents, ranging from $6000 to $14,000 per month assisted living, nursing home and dimensia care. The Delaney is by far the best place we have ever dealt with. The facility is beautiful and well maintained inside and out. The assisted living staff is amazing, the food top notch, the nurses so caring, the rehab staff treat these people like their own parents, the help and support is without question born out of love and not just a job. There are daily activities from cards, to ice cream socials, to musicians, hair and nail salons, community fireplace an TV areas, outdoor gardens and rocking chairs. This facility is at the lower end of the price range i described. Mom just loves it at the Delaney!!

The location is fabulous and the facilities are wonderful. They just did not take good care of Mom and Dad when we were not there. When they got sick the head nurse had them going to the hospital before we were informed. Long story short: they don’t want to bother with anybody that is not healthy.

Beautiful surroundings, my friend Dr. Joyce Farwell is so well cared for and has been from the very beginning. Friendly staff--and Latrisha--who we met this last time as we visited--is AMAZING! Not only very good at what she does but she obviously cares for Joyce by creating a real connection with her. She has a great sense of humor and is bright and positive. I'm very impressed!

We met Randi Green a year or more when we brought my dad for a visit and lunch. She was so helpful and cheerful, but my dad said he wasn’t ready. I just contacted Randi again last week and she was very helpful again in putting my dad on a waiting list for a room. I was contacted by all the other facilities in Waco (through A Place for Mom), but I am sticking with The Delaney specifically because of Randi. She is a wonderful asset for The Delaney, in my opinion.

HELL HOLE. I am an attorney-in-fact for an 82-year-old lady who I am devastated to say is a customer of The Delaney at Lake Waco. GREAT-GRANDMA has been placed in the mental unit at THE DELANEY. No doctor has ever diagnosed dementia. GREAT-GRANDMA is old, but she is quite lucid for a lady being imprisoned and tortured. GREAT-GRANDMA has suffered mental and psychological abuse at THE DELANEY. An "aid" at The Delaney is especially mean to GREAT-GRANDMA. Another aid at The Delaney has ignored GREAT-GRANDMA's needs. GREAT-GRANDMA has suffered neglect by The Delaney at Lake Waco. GREAT-GRANDMA has been denied food. GREAT-GRANDMA has become so weak that she cannot wheel herself to the cafeteria, and The Delaney at Lake Waco does not bring food to her. The food provided is usually unappetizing and often inedible. GREAT-GRANDMA has been denied water. GREAT-GRANDMA has been denied assistance with personal hygiene at The Delaney at Lake Waco. She has been allowed to sit in her feces. She has been allowed to go many days (or weeks) at a time without a bath or a change of clothing. GREAT-GRANDMA has been denied medical care. The only "doctor" at The Delaney is a Doctor of Osteopathy. "Osteopathy" is "a system of medical practice based on a theory that diseases are due chiefly to loss of structural integrity which can be restored by manipulation of the parts." These so-called "doctors" have no expertise or business being around elderly people. Scott and Alyssa of The Delaney at Lake Waco appear to have practiced medicine without a license by claiming nothing is wrong with GREAT-GRANDMA. Barbara has ignored her medical needs. GREAT-GRANDMA is housed in what is called the "Memory Care" unit at THE DELANEY. The website for THE DELANEY at Lake Waco claims "Memory Care" is for those with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. GREAT-GRANDMA has never been diagnosed with either, and upon information and belief, THE DELANEY at Lake Waco has never provided her with the so-called "memory care program" GREAT-GRANDMA sits every day looking at the walls. GREAT-GRANDMA has been denied services by The Delaney to meet her physical, mental, and psychosocial needs. GREAT-GRANDMA has been denied a way to communicate with the staff of The Delaney for help except by screaming. There is no intercom; there is no cord that can be pulled for help; there is no call button; there is no telephone. There isn't even a tin can with a waxed string. GREAT-GRANDMA is not safe at The Delaney at Lake Waco. A younger "resident" told GREAT-GRANDMA that she tried to escape, but they caught her. GREAT-GRANDMA has called her daughter and me many times crying and discussing problems. There are many audio recordings of this. GREAT-GRANDMA asked her daughter and me to become her power of attorney, and she asked her help in preparing a will. GREAT-GRANDMA has never had a will. On 12/21/2021, THE DELANEY called the police to have her daughter and 79-year-old friend arrested for criminal trespassing when they came to get her legal documents signed and notarized. THE DELANEY refused to bring GREAT-GRANDMA to see her daughter and old friend. They have stolen her mail On three occasions, The Delaney has turned away ambulances that came. She is going to die. If you have a loved one who needs assisted living, know that The Delaney at Lake Waco is the last place you want to go.
