Beautiful surroundings, my friend Dr. Joyce Farwell is so well cared for and has been from the very beginning. Friendly staff--and Latrisha--who we met this last time as we visited--is AMAZING! Not only very good at what she does but she obviously cares for Joyce by creating a real connection with her. She has a great sense of humor and is bright and positive. I'm very impressed!

I have two close friends that live at The Delaney. I have always been greeted with a smile. I even dropped my purse one day and they helped me pick it up. I have been to two seminars there dealing with dementia and very helpful. The staff there is so attentive. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a place for a friend or family.

We met Randi Green a year or more when we brought my dad for a visit and lunch. She was so helpful and cheerful, but my dad said he wasn't ready. I just contacted Randi again last week and she was very helpful again in putting my dad on a waiting list for a room. I was contacted by all the other facilities in Waco (through A Place for Mom), but I am sticking with The Delaney specifically because of Randi. She is a wonderful asset for The Delaney, in my opinion.

I was greeted almost immediately immediately in the Community by a worker who recognized me from my mom's description. We were checked on a couple of times by very sweet staff. The room was impeccable, and it felt very trustworthy.

In the process of looking for possible living accommodations for my aging mother we had the opportunity to visit the Delaney. We found the facility, staff, programs and social amenities to be one that we will KEEP IN VIEW and recommend for further investigation. Many thanks to the staff who answered our questions, gave us meaningful advice and ideas on how to proceed. We will for sure be back.

The staff is wonderful. But management seems to be less focused on residents, more on the rent they pay.. A few friends of mine have left the facility due to poor maintenance on the building. Pipes were busing through the ceiling and rooms were flooding. My friend who was unfortunately was apart of a "flood" caught herself sleeping on the couch on Christmas day without any accommodations for a room. Days later they relocated her to a room, but it's unfortunate it took a few days. Food has been good before but as of 2023, it's horrible, it seems that the chefs put random ingredients together and serve it as it's a test kitchen of some sort. For paying nearly $5,500 a month and being served tough meat, i don't think that's very professional as a Franchise. Would likely not visit again.

Just got mom in there Monday and was so glad how the staff got things taken care of so quick to get her in, I visited 8 different places and the Delaney just stood out and glad I made the choice for her there, I know it will take time for her to adjust but glad she already found a new friend there, I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a place for their loved ones

I received a very comprehensive tour. I was particularly impressed with the public spaces and wide range of activities for residents. The rooms of the apartment were somewhat small given the price compared with other facilities.

The staff is very friendly and caring. They have looked for ways to get mom involved and feel at home in her surroundings. There is a nice list of daily activities - something for everyone. The food and kitchen staff are amazing. The few times we have needed maintenance, they have been very responsive. The common areas and hallways are very clean & always look nice. We have been very pleased with The Delaney at Lake Waco!

Randi and the other ladies were very kind, patient and hospitable. They made the Texas Motto of being friendly true to life. The word Tejas which means friendship in the Caddo Indians language so that is where Texas got the state name and motto.

We were very impressed with the Delaney at Lake Waco. Everything is just beautiful there. The menus are really wonderful and the staff are very welcoming. We have high hopes that we will be able to get our sister to Waco and know she will love it. Randi answered all our questions and is very knowledgeable.

HELL HOLE. I am an attorney-in-fact for an 82-year-old lady who I am devastated to say is a customer of The Delaney at Lake Waco. GREAT-GRANDMA has been placed in the mental unit at THE DELANEY. No doctor has ever diagnosed dementia. GREAT-GRANDMA is old, but she is quite lucid for a lady being imprisoned and tortured. GREAT-GRANDMA has suffered mental and psychological abuse at THE DELANEY. An "aid" at The Delaney is especially mean to GREAT-GRANDMA. Another aid at The Delaney has ignored GREAT-GRANDMA's needs. GREAT-GRANDMA has suffered neglect by The Delaney at Lake Waco. GREAT-GRANDMA has been denied food. GREAT-GRANDMA has become so weak that she cannot wheel herself to the cafeteria, and The Delaney at Lake Waco does not bring food to her. The food provided is usually unappetizing and often inedible. GREAT-GRANDMA has been denied water. GREAT-GRANDMA has been denied assistance with personal hygiene at The Delaney at Lake Waco. She has been allowed to sit in her feces. She has been allowed to go many days (or weeks) at a time without a bath or a change of clothing. GREAT-GRANDMA has been denied medical care. The only "doctor" at The Delaney is a Doctor of Osteopathy. "Osteopathy" is "a system of medical practice based on a theory that diseases are due chiefly to loss of structural integrity which can be restored by manipulation of the parts." These so-called "doctors" have no expertise or business being around elderly people. Scott and Alyssa of The Delaney at Lake Waco appear to have practiced medicine without a license by claiming nothing is wrong with GREAT-GRANDMA. Barbara has ignored her medical needs. GREAT-GRANDMA is housed in what is called the "Memory Care" unit at THE DELANEY. The website for THE DELANEY at Lake Waco claims "Memory Care" is for those with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. GREAT-GRANDMA has never been diagnosed with either, and upon information and belief, THE DELANEY at Lake Waco has never provided her with the so-called "memory care program" GREAT-GRANDMA sits every day looking at the walls. GREAT-GRANDMA has been denied services by The Delaney to meet her physical, mental, and psychosocial needs. GREAT-GRANDMA has been denied a way to communicate with the staff of The Delaney for help except by screaming. There is no intercom; there is no cord that can be pulled for help; there is no call button; there is no telephone. There isn't even a tin can with a waxed string. GREAT-GRANDMA is not safe at The Delaney at Lake Waco. A younger "resident" told GREAT-GRANDMA that she tried to escape, but they caught her. GREAT-GRANDMA has called her daughter and me many times crying and discussing problems. There are many audio recordings of this. GREAT-GRANDMA asked her daughter and me to become her power of attorney, and she asked her help in preparing a will. GREAT-GRANDMA has never had a will. On 12/21/2021, THE DELANEY called the police to have her daughter and 79-year-old friend arrested for criminal trespassing when they came to get her legal documents signed and notarized. THE DELANEY refused to bring GREAT-GRANDMA to see her daughter and old friend. They have stolen her mail On three occasions, The Delaney has turned away ambulances that came. She is going to die. If you have a loved one who needs assisted living, know that The Delaney at Lake Waco is the last place you want to go. My husband, brother-in-law, and I had a great tour of the memory care neighborhood this past Saturday with Nicole and plan to move my mother-in-law in soon. Randi, the Director of Community/Resident Relations, is easy to communicate with, and like everyone else at the Delaney, is incredibly friendly. The facility has an excellent layout and fantastic outdoor space.

We moved my father in right as COVID hit and the staff was very accomodating given the difficult circumstances. Throughout the pandemic the staff has worked very hard to accommodate and adjust to help meet the needs of my father and the family. We were very impressed with the Delaney after touring the facility twice and are happy with our choice.

We moved my aunt Ruby to The Delaney in October of 2018, and she loves it!!! The facilities are like new, the location is beautiful (right next to Lake Waco), and the food is wonderful!! Their staff is very caring, helpful, and friendly, and the residents seem accepting of new residents. We are very pleased with The Delaney!

My grandparents stay here and there are some good things about it. Parking is an ongoing issue, not just for guests but the tenants also. It is a new facility but seems that things are always breaking and needing repairs. Including multiple units of A, C going out. I give it a 3 star because for the price and outward appearance I expected more. But my grandparents have not stayed in other facilities so I cannot compare.

My wife and I began to visit the Delaney a little over a year ago. Six months ago, I realized that I could no longer keep Carole safe at home. By that time, she was used to coming to The Delaney to visit- we had and still have a friend or two that live here- so we had a reason to come even though I really had two reasons to come: to see my old friend and to help Carole see and become comfortable with The Delaney. When she first took up residence, Carole was disoriented; the staff at the Delaney, headed by Kim Alston (The Director of Nursing Services) was very thoughtful. She phoned me, or I phoned her, regularly; she always had the most immediate reports on Caroles health, well-being and willingness to adapt to this new place. As Kim, and Ken Wahnschaffe (The Director) had warned me, she was at first resistant. Kim especially, and the rest of the staff as well, united to help her. I must mention Haleys help with initial preparation for the move. We visited somewhere between 2 and 4 times as Haley was just beginning her new position; we found her fully aware from the first of how everything works here, always cheerful, and from my point of view an excellent introduction for Carole to the Delaney staff. She showed us the independent living and assisted apartments, answered all our questions, and helped with a gentle introduction to the memory care community. We brought my mother in law to The Delaney after experiencing two unpleasant places. When we came ,we were thrilled at the living arrangements, the caregivers and the food. She is a picky eater and has gained 7 pounds since she has been living here! The residents are all so friendly and accepting. We havent experienced any negative happenings what so ever. My mother in law is so happy here and we are so happy that God made a way for us to come to The Delaney!

I had the great privilege of working in a consulting role with the team at The Delaney this week and have rarely been so impressed. Every staff member I met was genuinely kind, helpful and welcoming. I stayed in a guest room and was made to feel right at home. The food is the best I have ever had in an assisted living community, so I ate every meal at The Delaney. I was also impressed with the warmth and joyful welcome I had from the residents themselves. I can see why the staff talk so much about The Delaney Difference!
