This facility does not take care of patients whom need one on one care! I know of other people whom need one on one care and are neglected. If they raise their voice at the nurse in charge she will yell back at them. The voice is all they have. My person is now afraid to say anything!

Admitted myself for IV Therapy and physical therapy for 2-3 weeks. Greeted warmly by Brenda and guided through admission procedure. Facility has been in Waco since I was a very young nurse. Tried and true reputation for excellent care. I have only been here for 3 days now but am very happy with staff, facility, etc. will post more as stay progresses. I love how staff listens and responds to any questions or concerns I have. This is a very scary time for me as I had to be resuscitated in hospital prior to admission here, staff is reassuring and supportive.

Ridgecrest is such a beautiful and amazing building. I came in on a Friday to see about finding a new place for my grandfather and I was greeted by Brenda, The admissions manager for the facility. She is such a wonderful and knowledgeable woman. She gave me a great sense of peace while she explained everything that their facility offers and assured me my grandfather would be in great hands. As I did a tour of the facility I watched how she interacted with other residents and staff and saw that she is a truly kind hearted person that goes above and beyond for her residents. The teamwork is incredible and they are a one of a kind building that puts resident needs first. I definitely look forward to having my grandfather be a part of Ridgecrest!

I have been with Ridgecrest Retirement and Healthcare for 6 years and am truly grateful to interact, share and experience ordinary moments that have a profound and positive effect in the lives of our residents and my colleagues. Relative of a current patient. My brother was sent here 3 days ago, on a Friday, after he was forced to leave Hillcrest -BSW Waco. He had emergency neck surgery for an impingement nearly crushing his spine. His surgeon never saw him after his surgery. He developed blood clot in his legs. He is diabetic. He made improvements initially but started to rapidly decline in his condition and was in worse shape then he was prior to his surgery. In constant severe pain and unable to move his legs without excruciating pain , losing bowel and bladder function and weakness in his arms and hand. His insurance ran out an they forced him out and dumped him at Ridgecrest. He has been in nothing but an adult diapers and bedridden since. He asked for help to use the toilet and they told him they had bad backs an there were no "men" on staff to help move him. They told him to "go" in his diaper and they would back to clean him up" later. They do not answer his pleas for help in a timely manner. He asked for a shirt and they tossed it to him, rather than help him put it on. He managed to get it over his head and his arms through the sleeves but it has been bunched up just below his shoulders ever since, making it even more uncomfortable. I tried to help him pull it down but was unsuccessful and caused him more pain. He had food all over his shirt and bed because it is difficult for him to eat in that position. His hands are weak and the loss of dexterity makes it difficult to hold a fork or even hold his cellphone. They are not controlling his pain and he has to call repeatedly for his meds. We may have to call 911 to get him to a hospital . Which is where he should be. Neglectful , no empathy is putting it mild. I will also be leaving a similar review for " Kill-cres BSW Waco. Don't put your family here, they give them old molded food and they rude to the people and keep they rooms dirty, I feel sorry for the residents there and their families.

The assisted living staff at Ridgecrest are the very best. My Mom is on hospice there and every one at the facility from the driver, receptionist, PCTs, nurses and director are extremely kind and compassionate. The regular staff is there on the weekends, not contract staff. My Mom had lived at a few other facilities but never did she get the care and attention that she gets at Ridgecrest. These people are the best!
