Brookdale has been outstanding choice and a great fit for my dad’s assisted living care. Everyone is friendly and super patient assisting those under their care. My dad loves the food. Family bingo nights have been fun and my dad looks forward to them. The structure of the days from activities to meals at the same time each day help my dad to know what is going on and keeps him on a schedule that he can comprehend. All the staff have been attentive, knowledgeable and caring. I visit 3-4 times a week and they always take the time to talk to me and keep me updated on my dad. Very pleased.

Making the decision to place my dad in a memory care facility was one of the hardest choices I’ve ever had to make. Like so many families, I carried a lot of worry, guilt, and uncertainty about whether we were doing the right thing. From the moment we connected with Brooke and Kristi, those feelings began to ease. Their compassion, understanding, and genuine care made all the difference. They didn’t just help us through the process”they truly supported our entire family during a very emotional time. It’s clear that this isn’t just a job for them; they truly care about every resident as if they were their own family. One of the things we love most is that my dad has his own spacious room. It gives him comfort, privacy, and a sense of independence, while still being in a safe and supportive environment. The entire facility feels warm and welcoming”more like a home than a care center”which gave us peace of mind right away. What really sets this place apart is how they include families. They go out of their way to invite loved ones in for special holidays and events, even providing meals so we can spend meaningful time together. Those moments mean everything to us, and it shows how dedicated they are to keeping families connected. Dee, the activity director, along with her assistant, does an incredible job planning daily activities that keep residents engaged, stimulated, and happy. There is always something thoughtful and purposeful going on, which brings so much joy and routine to my dad’s days. We are beyond grateful for Brooke, Kristi, Dee, and the entire team. They have created a place where residents are cared for with dignity, kindness, and love”and where families can feel confident that their loved ones are truly at home.

Brookdale South has gone out of their way to help our family from the start. The staff has been courteous and respectful of an initially cranky and easily irritated patient. They were accommodating to us when special issues arose. I always felt that he was safe and cared for with odd quirks of his worked into his life. Overall, for a negative time in our life, Brookdale was a bright lifeline for which I will be forever thankful.

When residents are memory challenged it requires a great deal of oversight and care. The staff at Brookdale Tyler South has always shown a high level of focus by making sure that each resident is safe. Many times, residents are confused about where they are and may want to leave and go home. It has been my observation that the staff re-directs the resident with kindness and patience

I cannot recommend Brookdale Tyler South highly enough! The staff is incredibly caring and helpful, and the facility is clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The staff regularly checks in on them, provides them with snacks, and helps even them care for their dog. My grandmother even said that the food is good (and she had strong opinions about food in assisted living facilities the iced tea is glorious). The activities director is amazing, and she coordinates great activities for the residents, such as on-site gardening, fishing, and vintage car shows. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for a great place for their loved ones to live. This team gives me so much peace of mind, knowing my grandparents are taken care of, they have made things as easy as possible for me being several states away. Special shout out to Tina who has been my rock through this whole process, helping me get the best care of them possible.

No place is perfect, but Brookdale Tyler South is as good as you can expect. the staff is caring, and kind and they keep the place clean and never smells bad. It is particularly expensive, however.

I have been so happy with the ways the staff care for, and enrich my father's life. Once he was no longer able to live without 24 hour care, the options in care, and process of finding the right place seemed overwhelming to me. But from the first contact with the staff of Brookdale Tyler South, they went above and beyond to explain their approach to caring for persons with memory problems, and why it works to help calm the frustration of my loved one. I've always felt comfortable and welcome to visit, and participate in activities with my Dad. He's never even asked for a tv in his room because he's too busy to just sit in his room. He is encouraged to be as independent as possible, to foster his self esteem and sense of well being. He has adapted well to the routine and flow of the facility, and his level of anxiety and frustration has diminished significantly compared to when he was trying to live on his own. I consider the staff at Brookdale to be part of my extended family. I can lay my head down at night knowing he is well cared for, and that they will call me should the need arise. One of his friends visited him recently, and she called me to tell me that she hopes her family will find her a place like Brookdale when the time comes. She was so happy to see that the staff doted on Dad, and really cared about him. Coming from one of his peers, it made me so happy that she saw what I saw there. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for doing all you do!
