My Mom has Alzheimers and she is in the lock down part of the nursing home. It is so nice there. She absolutely loves it. The nurses are so sweet and attentive. They have activities too. They have music entertainment that some can attend also. Please call Briarcliff! It is worth it!

Went to Briarcliff Nursing Facility on Vine St. in Tyler to feed a patient. The place was clean & I was impressed that it didn’t smell. The staff were friendly. I was also impressed that my patient was cleaned, hair combed etc.. I realize there are lots of patients who have to wait on the Aid’s to be fed. This issue may be minor but the food was cold & tea was like water. Improvement needed on patients who eat slow & trays taken whether they are finished. Overall this is a very nice clean facility.

Very pleased, everyone is is so kind and helpful. So glad y’all hired Lisa for activities. She is absolutely wonderful. The only complaint I have is, dementia patients need consistents. Every time my Mother gets used to someone. They move them to a different unit. It has her very confused.i would like to see some changes made. I don’t like my Mother locked up. She is an outside person. But now they keep the door locked.

Greatest team ever. My grandmother and I owe many thanks and appreciation to the team at Briarcliff Healthcare for the excellent care and rehab they provided for her after surgery. Everyone on staff were the kindest sweetest and most caring people we had ever met and with their love encouragement grandma as returned home just as independent as she was prior to her Surgery. Briarcliff Health Center is a great facility to place your loved ones when the time comes. They have extremely caring and considerate staff. I had an encounter with a man named Reaf and he was nothing but pleasant and respectful. I definitely recommend considering this as an option in the future for those who you care the most about.

My wife has been Briarcliff for 4 years. They have been excellent in taking care of her. She is at the point now where her time is limited and drawing to a close. I have recommended Briarcliff to friends, neighbors, people at church, and acquaintances the it is a good place to put Alzheimer’s patients. Also it is located in a very good place that is very easy to get to and has ample parking.

Briarcliff Rehabilitation Center is absolutely the best place I could have sent my Mom after she fractured her pelvis. Both the staff and facility were amazing! This is the best place to go for outstanding rehabilitation services for a loved one. This is the note I shared with them to show my appreciation for their care. Ryan, I just heard that my Mom has been discharged today and is now back at her home in Atria. This place is nice. As soon as I walked in the door, the place smelled so fresh and clean. Did not at any time smell urine. My mom is on( B hall) and when I tell you Miss Jarnel the housekeeper, and Mr. Darnnell had that place smelling fabulous I mean that. My mom has been in two other nursing homes inTyler, and when I tell you the unine smell was bad at the other two places it was bad. Other nursing home should raise there standard in cleaning. Maybe Briarcliff housekeeping Can teach other nursing homes on how to keep facility clean , and fresh. Two thumbs up for this place.

My mother's a resident in Briarcliffs memory unit. The staff over her care are the most attentive and caring people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. My mother's extremely well cared for and the place is very clean. First nursing home I've been in that didn't have a lingering urine smell. That in itself speaks volumes about the level of care for the residents there.

I won't explain the hardships of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's. If you have, or know, of someone in that situation you know well the immense challenges and difficulties associated with around the clock monitoring and care. That said, the decision to have others assume care for your loved one is not one entered into lightly and most are greatly conflicted about the decision. At least that was our experience. We used the resource list provided by the Alzheimer's Association of Smith County and drew heavily on recommendations from neighbors and friends to research facilities in the Tyler area before deciding on Briarcliff Health Center. Since Mom is in the memory care section my comments are for that part of the facility. In our experience the full time staff (Kiki, Tamesha, Connie, Anita, Jessica, Leigh, Mr. Felder, and others) at BC are caring and compassionate people. They patiently work with the ebb and flow of the patients' frequently changing attitudes to administer medication and attend to daily living activities while trying to preserve the patients' dignity and treating them with the respect all persons made in God's image deserve. The supervisors (Mrs. Williams, Summer, Mr. Ken, Mrs. Jones, and others) are attentive and respond quickly to any concerns brought forward. And Mrs. O'dea has proven to be an outstanding advocate and dependable partner as we sought financial assistance for Mom. Lastly, since calling BC "home" nearly seven months ago our relationship with Mom has improved,. While her disease has worsened, she seems less anxious and more content, she enjoys family visits (where she used to resent our presence and prodding) and has gained some weight (always a concern for AD patients).

The staff is wonderful!! I can't say enough about the caring people in Briarcliff! They have all been so very helpful and attentive to my mother. The memory unit is fabulous. The entire facility is impressive. The people here really care. The process of putting my mother into a home other than her own has been made so much easier by everyone there. They have a wonderful PT and OT staff and facility. From the minute we visited, through the move-in, the entire staff has made us feel like we truly found a "home" that we know our mother is safe and very well cared for! She has a beautiful room, with very attentive nurses and caregivers. There are activities to keep them busy along with skilled physical and occupational therapies. The process to get her in was so great that we feel we definitely found the RIGHT place for Momma. Our entire family feels comfortable visiting too. The place is CLEAN, pretty, homey, up to date. I'd like to give a HUGE "Thank you!" to everyone who made it possible for us to feel so comfortable in this very critical decision for us! -- Debbie

My husband has been here a short time, I went in thinking this was a nursing home but this place made me feel at home. Everyone was nice and caring to my husband and myself. With the issues he is having they may not can keep him but at least they tried and I have absolutely no complaints. As for the patient areas everything has been clean and looks to be newly updated.

My mom has been staying in the memory unit for about a year, and the staff has been wonderful to her. She is clean, happy and well attended. She likes the food, and has maintained her weight well, despite some appetite issues. We have liked all of her nurses, who are extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They are very supportive of family, as well. The other employees are awesome, too, going out of their way to greet us and offer assistance, if/when needed. I visit frequently at different times of day, and have always been pleased at the level of care, attention and concern.

My husband was in rehab for nearly 2 months. Everyone was kind and very patient. They did everything they could to help us. The food was good and plentiful. Cant say enough good about the staff and management.
