We cannot say enough good things about The Heritage of Tomball and their assisted-living team. During a very uncertain and emotional time for our family, Matthew, Christina, and William truly went above and beyond to help us get my mother settled. We were working within a very tight window, and they stepped up in every way possible. They helped us complete all of the necessary paperwork, guided us through everything that was needed for her move-in, and made themselves available by phone or text whenever we had questions. The room was freshly remodeled, and they showed it to us multiple times so we could understand the layout and plan what to bring to make my mother feel comfortable and at home. Their patience, compassion, and attention to detail made a difficult process so much easier. We could not have asked for better service, care, or support. We are truly grateful to have found such a wonderful facility for our mother.

The people are caring here. The food is excellent. We had a BBQ dinner that could have come from the best restaurant. The fried fish is just as good. Desserts are incredible too.There are many activities here. The grounds are very nice. You can have a garden and a small yard for your dog in some units. Deer are a common sighting near the grounds.

My Aunt stays here at The Heritage its been 3 years since shes been here and it is well worth it and more , for starters the staff is absolutely amazing , they are kind , and you can tell they have passion for what they do. Watching their interactions with residents is so heartwarming but not just residents , how the staff work together , communicate and share kindness is wholesome. The management is actually a team and will go to great lengths to make sure that my aunt is taken care of. They truly go above and beyond. The food is great and they even have activities during service until we get the food and thats really refreshing compared to other places that just let you sit in silence. The Nursing department is amazing and always so attentive. The maintenance is always available to help and if he's not he makes time to make sure what needs to be fixed is done efficiently. My aunt is not in memory care but I see the way they are taken care of ,like being brought out to happy hour and taken on outings is absolutely amazing , this place does not exclude anyone and makes sure to engage everybody in activities. Even when my aunt does not want to go , they come back and check on her to make sure shes okay or if she needs anything. Housekeeping is always around to make sure that things are cleaned and organized , not to mention they are just sweet hearted people. I have not personally met Mr. William but I will say this , everytime I see him , he is always smiling , and positive , making sure he's taking care of this community, he supports his staff , he makes time for anyone that has a concern or just wants to have a chat and that is the best feeling knowing that my aunt is being taken care of and also that my family has support by the kindest , passionate people. The staff overall are very friendly and accommodating. They’re willing to go beyond the normal expectations to help the clients. The atmosphere was somewhat depressing. No music during lunch, halls, front area. Rails in the hallway need oil and cleaning on the inside of the railing. It’s unhealthy. It’s an improvement to see linen back on the dining room tables. Thank you. I still feel they need to be kept on for supper. The menus need to be cleaned and updated. These are minor issues that can be addressed immediately. The positive side is the impact the employee have on your clients. They appear to know everyone name and address them in a sweet way. Friendly manners are always demonstrated with all your clients. Medicine is distributed at the appropriate times and are noted on record. They check on their hygiene and sanitation as much as they can. Outside facilities were better than last time I was here. All the front was taken care and clean to make it look attractive. It was needed. Front was clean and your computerized sign-in was a pleasant upgrade. Good safety issue. You could never tell who was a visitor or a client in the building. Should there be a fire ” in the building at least now you now have a head count. Great to meet standards. One financial issue: if a client is unable to go to the cafeteria you all charge $7.00 a tray. That’s unacceptable. First, this person has allowed your cafeteria staff to not do the following: 1. Take an order by hand 2. Ask the client again what she wants 3. What she wants to drink and bring it 4. Bring utensil for her 5. Clear the table 6. Bring dessert 7. Ask if she wants dessert 8. What kind does she want 9. Does she want ice cream 10. Wash her dishes I truly hope you get my point. You are over changing them when actually we’re safe you time and money by eating in my room. This has to change. I will report this unduly overwhelming charge to headquarters. It’s unacceptable. I hope this help you

From the time we toured The Heritage with Mari, who was amazing, and met with Director Mr. Williams, we were impressed with the facility and what it had to offer. I appreciate the kindness of the staff and their unwavering dedication to providing exceptional care , as demonstrated by remarkable residents aides Chiquita, CeCe and the entire staff. My father lived here for almost 3 years before he passed away. There are a few, as in 2 or 3, good aids that are there. Tracy, who sits up front is also an angel. The new director is kind, but the ones in charge of the business side of things are awful. I had to ask for corrections on invoices regularly because they hardly ever were right. They also lacked compassion for my father when his health began to decline and again as he passed away. One even stated, the new director has a heart for the families, but this is a business. I’m aware they need to make money, but the callous attitudes are not warranted. Perhaps they should seek employment somewhere that doesn’t require working with the elderly.

My mom had never ever wanted to be placed in a Nursing facility or Nursing home so it was very difficult when we had to make the decision to do just that. However the moment we walked in to The Heritage Home we felt warmth and kindness and knew that our mom would be taken care of with love. Yes it was still difficult to leave her there but knowing that the nursing and caregiving staff loved their job and loved on our mom made us feel blessed that we found the Heritage. Thank you to all the staff who work there!! You are so appreciated.

My aunt moved into Independent living at the Heritage in February, 2016 where she remained until she passed yesterday. Suring that time, she moved from Independent Living to Assisted Living, and finally to Memory Care. She was always happy and content there. Christina, the Administrator, and the entire staff was always quick to work with us whenever there was an issue. And the staff, especially the memory care staff, were amazing. I was so moved by the real grief the staff felt at my aunt's passing. She had only been in memory care for a couple of months, but the staff had developed a real relationship with her. And it wasn't easy because she wasn't verbal. I was with her the day before she passed. I pulled back the covers and burst into tears, because the staff had placed a fuzzy teddy bear in her arms to comfort her. My aunt was very happy to be at the Heritage, and I believe that her life was prolonged by several years because of the care and attention that she received there. Sincerely, Barbara Garland

This is not only the pandemia with Corona virus, also a crisis of violation. Please help those hard workers inside the kitchen. Cooks dishwasher and prep.

My mother has lived in the Independent Living section of The Heritage in Tomball since August of 2017. We have been very happy with all aspects of The Heritage. The staff is both kind and friendly and always available if a resident or family member has a question or concern. The maintenance staff is quick to respond to resident needs and the concierges are well-trained and always helpful. There are many activities for the residents to enjoy including outings, games, musical presentations, exercise groups, and worship services. The food at The Heritage is exceptionally good. The menus are well-planned and the food is very tasty. Besides the daily specials on the menu, there are multiple always-available options. We recently celebrated Mother’s 90th birthday at The Heritage and used Chef Justin’s catering services for the party. The refreshments were delicious and well-received by both the residents and our outside guests. Mother believes that moving to The Heritage was a great decision and that she is happier and healthier since her move.

Our Mom moved in last Christmas and she is very Happy, it did take little while to adjust. There are lots of Activities going on, Mom likes the Card games. She is also in group that plays Bridge twice a week. I like that everyone is Certified with CNA and there is LVN Nurse available 24 hrs. Food is good, I eat there often. I think the Heritage is kept clean & smells good. I recommend.

The only reason I am giving Heritage 2 stars is because the treatment of my Grandfather by the staff was outstanding. I do however have a problem on the corporate level. My Grandfather was is their memory care unit when he died at the begining of September, my Grandmother received a refund check for the month he passed of $114. When she called to ask why the check was so low when she pays so much each month their response was " You did not give a 15 day notice that he would be leaving." That is outrageous. How is one supposed to know when they are going to die? For the amount of money people pay to have their loved ones taken care of here shouldn't families be exempt from this rule in situations where the person receiving the care passes away somewhat suddenly or just passes away in general for that matter? The corporate half of Heritage could use a lot of work but the staff of the memory care unit was amazing and we always be thankful they were there for not only my grandfather but also our family in the end.

I posted a review about this place right after we moved my mother in. The service was excellent. The staff was exceptional. This was all when they were owned by a not for profit hospital system. The place was a country club. It was purchased by a for profit company and since then it has gone completely downhill. We moved my mother out and not soon enough. They are understaffed. The food was horrible. The bus (which is the main transportation for some) was out of commission for weeks because they didn't want to fix it. I feel sorry for the cleaning staff. They are the best thing about that place and they get treated like dirt. The price continued to go up, while service declined. We had no choice but to move my mother. The only way to fill a place like that is to provide good service. That place has many vacancies because they charge too much and don't provide the service (and then say they aren't making any money). I'm glad we got my mom out when we did. I'm afraid she would be miserable right now (she was heading in that direction when we moved her). Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Horrible. We are moving our parents out. Since Legend purchased the heritage the service has declined, they cut staff, there standards are low. They are all about the money. They give you a smile to take your money and thats the end of the smile. The food is horrible, the staff argues with one another, theres never anyone at the front desk to help. Its really a shame.
