I moved my mom to Inwood memory care after some bad experiences at another facility. Our first few months were amazing, and she adjusted well. However, her care started to decline at about the 4 month mark. She is a wanderer, and this facility has very long unmonitored hallways (no staff, no cameras). She started having frequent unwitnessed falls, and that’s just not ok. Having to go take her for weekly head CT scans is not my idea of quality care. They need some kind of monitoring system in place to keep their residents safe when the caretakers don’t have eyes on them. Most of the staff does care and is amazing, but the management? Needs some work. I kept getting verbal promises for things that never happened. So frustrating. My two cents for improvements (directed at corporate): 1) Add cameras to the hallways and common areas in memory care to help with the unwitnessed falls. 2) Add a covered walkway between the main building and memory care so we don’t have to get rained on going from building to building while we wait for staff to enter access codes. 3) Provide an online portal or a clear communication channel (email/phone/whatever) so that loved ones/caregivers can know when toiletries, medications, or other things are needed for our people, and also to be able to reach someone after hours. This was impossible when my mom was there! I know these people care! I have seen it. They are just working within the confines of a corporate entity that places profit over care. Typical in the US.

At 89 years old my mom, a widow for many years, lived alone in another state. We decided to bring her to Texas to live with her family. Mom is very spry and we felt she was missing out on a quality life. We researched and visited a couple homes. Mom was adamant about not feeling ready for a retirement home. We visited Harvest Home at Inwood Crossing. We found residents engaged, actively enjoying live music, delicious meals, Bingo, church services, trivia games, etc. Mom has been at Harvest for over 2 mos. and is absolutely loving her life. She participates in activities, she has friends, her room is clean and tidy, her laundry is laundered and delivered back to her. We found friendly, helpful staff from the directors, to the med techs, kitchen staff, front desk and activities coordinator. This place cares and it’s obvious there’s a genuine concern for the residents well being. We are so grateful to have found Harvest Home.

My father moved to harvest home right after Covid and I was very pleased with the service and the staff, however, as the years went on, the staff changed and service had gone downhill considerably. There were many times where they got the medications wrong because they didn’t have a real nurse working there. she was only going to school. And there were many times where the maintenance wasn’t taken care of for months, his room was substandard cleaned, not to mention his laundry would always come back with his whites being different colors. I didn’t feel like my father was safe towards the last year with the staff change over.

If you value your loved one's well-being and safety, I strongly urge you not to place them in this facility. I recently moved my loved one to a qualified facility after witnessing years of neglect and substandard care. I am writing this review to ensure others are not misled into entrusting this facility with their loved ones, as they prioritize profit over resident care. For families of color, the challenges are even greater, should your loved one even be accepted into the facility. Over the 6.5 years, my loved one resided here, ensuring basic care was a constant battle. Clothing was frequently misplaced, showers were skipped, meals were missed, and I had to verify medication was being administered as prescribed. Despite my advocacy, issues persisted. Recently, my loved one’s health declined due to improper medication administration. When I raised concerns, the Executive Director informed me that my loved one required a higher level of care and needed to be relocated. This was particularly shocking given that staff frequently assisted other residents with similar needs as my loved one. This appears to be a tactic to deflect responsibility rather than address systemic failures. The facility's leadership has worsened under the current Executive Director, who was hired two years ago. Key issues include: • Inexperienced staff hired to dispense medications and care for residents. • High staff turnover and excessive overtime for remaining staff, leading to burnout and compromised care. • Memory care residents left unsupervised, leading to unsafe conditions such as missed meals and physical altercations. • Critical safety concerns are ignored, including a backed-up sewage line in the kitchen, where food was still being served to residents. • No nurse on-site, with the facility relying on a nurse of record for compliance purposes only. I’ve reported this facility to state agencies, but minimal action has been taken. Deceptive practices and a culture of negligence persist. One alarming incident occurred on December 10, 2024, when another resident struck me during a visit. The staff and another family member witnessed this, yet the Executive Director did not address it. This same resident has pushed another resident to the floor and even choked a staff member, yet the facility failed to take meaningful action. On December 27, 2024, I was informed that my loved one needed to be moved due to an alleged inability to transfer from his wheelchair, despite having done so in my presence just days prior. During the process of relocation, I discovered a full bottle of antibiotics prescribed for my loved one, indicating they had not been administered as directed—a clear example of their negligence. This facility's failure to provide even the most basic level of care places residents at severe risk of harm or worse. I cannot stress enough the urgency of avoiding this facility if you care for the well-being of your loved one. I earnestly pray for the individuals at this facility and the families burdened with countless challenges while trying to care for their loved ones. I ask the Lord to watch over and protect them, and I pray that God will send leadership who genuinely prioritizes people over profit.

Fabulous for My 91 year old Dad! I looked at so many different Assisted Living places for my Dad, looking for the perfect place for him. I actually put a deposit down at two different places and I just felt like I was still missing that "super sweet spirit" that I really wanted for him. Therefore, I continued to look and thankfully I made a visit to Harvest Home and there it was, that sweet spirit I was looking for! The staff is wonderful and kind and always so helpful. He loves the exercise classes that are offered daily and feels great attending the different events that you all provide as well. The entire staff is a great team! Every time he has any kind of need they have responded quickly and lovingly! Best of all and most importantly my sweet Dad is really happy there! Thank you all for creating such a loving environment for my Dad! I have such peace of mind knowing that my Dad is in such good hands! Thank you again!!

Welcoming, Caring and Comfortable Atmosphere - We had to make the difficult decision to move my husband from our private home to an assisted living in Spring of 2024. He has Parkinson’s and early dementia requiring more assistance with his care. We researched multiple assisted living facilities and chose Harvest Home, as it is a smaller community and is warm and welcoming when you walk through the doors. The staff are very caring and attentive and go above and beyond with anything he needs. It is evident that they genuinely care for the residents and that it’s not just a job to them. The facility is kept very clean. The residents enjoy each other’s company with various day to day activities, such as group exercise, bible study, music, fun activities such as ice cream socials, themed parties and events, outings into the community, etc. Families of the residents are welcome to join in and participate with the activities, as well. I was thrilled to find Inwood. But memory care is very lacking in attention to the awesome residents. Just a few days after moving my father to Inwood, I was approached by the director to leave a positive review, which I did. At that point, everything was ok. My father is under hospice care, so normally, Monday through Friday, his hospice aide would shower and dress him, which meant Inwood aides didn't have to assist him with that. He was there for an entire month before they changed his bedsheets the first time. I had to do it and did his laundry half the time. They finally put a chart on the wall to track when his sheets were changed. Even then, the last time they changed sheets was 2/18. I moved him on 2/29. I have a photo of the chart showing I changed sheets the last two times before the 29th. His clothes, including a brand new pair of jeans with tags still on them, disappeared and were labeled with his name. Very little effort was made to find his missing three pairs of jeans and two pairs of joggers. Regarding food, most of the time it looked good; however, observations made, such as tails left on shrimp (choking hazard for some) or whole chicken breast served with no means to cut in bite-sized pieces, the observations were not appreciated. In my father's room, the shower did not drain properly, so water would stand around the toilet. Nothing was done to fix the issue even though it was a fall hazard. It was mopped when I alerted housekeeping. Keep in mind that the water would be standing for several hours before I arrived. Kelvin was always ready to mop up the water and was very nice to my father. The maintenance man, Allan (director's son), was helpful and would fix things that he could quickly but not the shower drain. During the hard freeze this winter, I walked into my father's room, and it was probably 55 degrees in there. Someone had turned the temp up to 78 but didn't bother to reason why it was so cold. The unit was not working. Allan replaced it immediately. The temp that night was about 22. I wonder if they would have figured it out had I not gone to visit. A couple of the med techs are good and attentive. I have no complaints about Janie or Nancy. She genuinely cares. There was an issue with my father being given a nighttime medication in the morning, which caused him to be drowsy all day. I asked to review what they were giving him, and I DISCOVERED the error. It was clear on the label to give at bedtime. There are a couple of caring aides, too. Some aides, though, have very bad attitudes. Like, "Why did you do that," or "I just took you to the restroom." Those comments were directed at other residents. Dinner is served 5ish. After dinner, a couple of residents asked to go to their rooms, and they were told they had to wait until 7:30 pm. They just sat there doing nothing. No music, no TV, no interactions, nothing. It was after I reported the above to Terri that I was told I needed to move him. The director, Terri, will paint a pretty picture, but it's very misleading. I was told I had 30 days to move him because he's urinating on the floor. My father has two kinds of cancer and, in late stages, causes kidney/frequent urination. He had difficulty finding the bathroom. The door to the restroom in the common area is kept locked. They are concerned someone could go in there, and the aides would not know. The door to his room was mostly locked, so consequently, he could not find the bathroom and started urinating on the floor. The director told me that she tried to take him into the restroom ONCE, but he wouldn't go. He didn't need to. The problem is that they failed to ask him periodically if he needed to use the restroom. I made Inwood aware of my father's issues before I moved him there and was told, no problem. I also had to ask for a copy of the contract several times. I asked Terri and her daughter, Ashley. They said they would get me a copy but didn't. The receptionist, Chloe, was always helpful, made a copy.

This place is TERRIBLE. My mom was there for a month. They were understaffed and most caregivers were untrained on how to take care of memory care residence. The caregivers said they have never been trained. The director, [name removed], lied to me and my family. The caregivers said she also lies to them. They caregivers are overworked. There was one rough caregiver, the regional director said she was not abusive just moved fast with my mom. Please do not take a loved one to this location. Visit it at different times of the day without a scheduled tour. [name removed], the director, her daughter, [name removed], the marketing person put on a show. Go unannounced and go at all different times of the day and night. Terrible place!!! Do not bring a loved one.

In the fall of 2022 we began the search for a memory care facility for my 92 year old dad. We chose Harvest Home / Inwood Crossing based on the friendly staff, activity schedule, and the bright, spacious, common areas with large windows. My dad did not want to leave his home and could not understand why it was necessary. The new director was aware of the situation, and on moving day she and other staff members went above and beyond to make Dad feel welcome and comfortable in his new home. For that I will always be grateful. In the four months since then Dad has received kind and gentle care, and I have received a great deal of assistance in learning about various healthcare options. This has been a very positive experience.

The Community Relations Director, Ms.Goodrow at Harvest Home is 1st Class. She is kind, prompt, professional and knows the business. I discussed with her about placing our mother into Harvest Home and as she stated, Ms. Goodrow provided a detailed email with information and pricing the next morning. Our mother requires extreme personal care and Harvest Home is up to that task should your loved one require that level, or any professional level of care. I would not hesitate to reach out to Ms. Goodrow for any questions or concerns that you may have if you are needing to place a loved one into a caring home.

I believe Belinda. Katherine, and Kerri, in management, are all amazing. The chef also does well in menu preparation and delivery of meals. The activities are creative and varied. The staff, including the med techs, have worked extremely hard during this Covid period to keep things as normal as possible and to bring activities back in a slightly different form to be Covid safe. My mom's housekeeper, Rita, is incredibly detailed. efficient and caring. Randy and his helper, in maintenance, are quick to respond and are everywhere doing what needs to be done for the residents and the buildings. The staff remains upbeat with both the residents and the family members. The quality of care has not suffered during this Covid time. Mom and I have both had an excellent experience at Harvest Home/Inwood Crossing in Tomball, Texas.

We placed my mother with dementia at Harvest Home, after coming out of a Brookdale facility where nothing was ever answered. At Harvest Home, anytime I called management, the phone was answered, or I was given a callback within 5 minutes. And what I said mattered and was addressed in short order. What a difference !! My father finally came out of independent living at age 95 (though he should have been somewhere sooner). We tried to make sure he came to Harvest Home. This was after my mother had passed last fall 9/2019. He recently passed in July/2020, but not from covid-19. Hospice came in and worked seamlessly with the facility. I am satisfied, that our needs as a family were met. Everyone must evaluate a facility based on 'current' management. I am very pleased with the director of Harvest Home, and we made bonds with many of the staff during our stay.

I have always heard good things about this senior living community. It is not the newest or shiniest penny on the block but always looks nice and homey and very well kept. People at my church say it's the best senior living community in Tomball and surrounding villes and burgs because it's well-established and the folks there know what they are doing.
