The Village has been my home for 8 months and I have been happy with my decision to move here. I live in the independent living section of the facility and have been pleasantly surprised by all aspects of living here. We, my wife and I, live an independent lifestyle. We eat most of our meals in the dining room and are like the variety and quality of the food. The staff and the residents are very friendly and we have made many new friends. The services and activities provided are very good quality and are adaptable for all lifestyles. We made a good choice!

My mom has been in and out of skilled nursing for several months now and she has stayed at the Village at Glenloch Farms. They have done a very good job of taking care of her. Since my first conversation with Liz Groves, she has been helpful, attentive and addressed all of our concerns. The nursing staff and physical therapy staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. My mom is on the toileting program. She says they are usually able to help her get changed in a timely manner but not always. Around shift change is the most challenging. Overall, given the circumstances, The Village at Glenloch Farms has been a positive experience for our family during a difficult time. It may not be perfect, but we can see them trying to help mom and the rest of the family through a difficult situation.

Activities in Skilled NursingMy father is severely vision-impaired. His Kindle had stopped working shortly after he was transferred to the Skilled Nursing Unit , so he had nothing to occupy his free time. What a pleasant surprise when the Activities Director arrived with a Talking Books player and a good selection of tapes for it. This was the perfect activity choice for my dad. Individual attention makes all the difference!

This is the second skilled nursing facility for my mom. She begged me to get her out of the first one, she said she was scared and ignored. My bad; I should have used The Village at Gleannloch Farms first. I could have saved a lot of grief. My Mom now loves it there. She says she is getting a lot of good professional attention. So glad we found The Village at Gleannloch Farms.

I 100% Recommend The Village!! My parents have lived at The Village for many, many years. I have personally seen The Village grow over the past 10+ years that my parents have lived here. I normally would not post a review and express my opinion but when I see a negative review like the one I just read; I feel I have to speak up. Not only for The Village management and staff but for the countless other residents who live at VGF. One of the many things that remains TRUE about VGF is the outstanding Independent Living management and staff who care deeply for the residents health and quality of life. Yes, there has been some staff come and go throughout the years as you would find with thousands of other companies. Nothing unusual about that as a previously posted review tried to imply. I personally can state that The Village has had key staff in place for many years. The Business Office Manager Karen has been with VGF for over 10 years and was there to help me and my parents navigate moving into The Village. She helps with questions from the residents and is always available when my parents have questions or need information. You will not meet a more dedicated, caring, and compassionate person than Karen for the residents at The Village. I have seen her go above and beyond for all the residents time after time. She is just one example of management that is there and cares for my parents and the other residents. Susan who is the Independent Living Activities Manager has been with VGF for over 7+ years. She is another example of someone who is caring and dedicated to the residents she works with daily. The Village has had the same Dining Director Cyriel for over 8 years and knows my parents likes and dislikes in food. Cyriel gives my parents and the other residents a Great Dining Experience! From the first time we came into The Village to tour the apartments, to when me and my parents signed the agreement to move-in; we have never felt VGF would put money or cost over the care and treatment the residents receive. I have years of history with this senior community and the wonderful management who works here daily. I have never seen or heard from my parents or any of my parents neighbors complain about this community putting money over the care or upkeep of The Village. It is just simply untrue. I can call on tons of my parents neighbors who live at The Village to tell of their wonderful experiences now and over the years with The Village and how the management and staff always take care of any issue that may need addressed from maintenance to health concerns. My parents absolutely love The Village and the kind management and staff. I would not trust them to live anywhere else. I want to send a BIG THANK YOU for keeping my parents safe during this COVID Pandemic and always putting their needs first.

I am not the kind of person to take the time out to write a review but I gladly made the exception in this case. My family and I went through a horrible experience when my mother was recently placed at a skilled nursing center (name Id rather not mention) when she was released from the hospital. This caused us to remove her from that facility and look elsewhere. After carefully looking into our options, we came across Village at Gleanloch Farms. I can honestly say that I am very glad we chose Gleanloch based on their reputation and ratings. From first speaking with Liz and getting some more information, we felt comfortable in making this move. My mother was cared for like their own family since the minute she arrived. For my family to see that she was satisfied with no complaints, it made us at ease with relief. There was never an issue in her 3 week stay. She received 24 hour care from the nurses and communication from our family with the nursing staff was excellent. Thank you to Liz, Nurse Lupe, the therapist, and to the social worker Kiana Martin who was always willing to help with any concern or question that we had. I know I may not know all of the names of the rest of the nurses or other people that assisted with the care for my mother but thank you all that did. My mother is home and doing well thanks to all of you. We will not hesitate to use Gleanloch in the future should we need their services. Elizar Mares

The community at Gleannloch Farms is a wonderful atmosphere. The ambiance of this place u much The nurses are excellent and helpful. They truly care about your well being. The nutrition department is very accommodating to various nutritional needs and desires. The food is delicious and extremely filling. The therapy department is fabulous. The therapists work hard to help us reach goals that we have set for ourselves. Safety and growth while improving health. Kindness, grace and mercy. AMAZING!! But I guess the most refreshing aspect of Gleannloch Farms is the activity director. Between the exercises to the crafts, she keeps us continually involved. The varied field trips, speakers and mind games keep the patients alert, Even without a previous comparison, The Village at Gleannloch Farms is top rate. If you ever leave this place for greener pastures, you will always return because you will never encounter a more loving and caring staff than that which is found here.

My father is a resident in skilled nursing at The Village at Gleannloch Farms. Our experience with all the staff so far has been nothing less than exceptional. I contacted the facility about admissions on a Saturday because we were in somewhat of an emergency situation, and Liz returned my call at 8:30 on the following Sunday morning! She had all the paperwork completed for admission before my father was even discharged from the hospital. It was a seamless experience. Since becoming a resident, everyone I have had contact with (the medical social worker, director of nursing, director of rehab, nurse and care staff, skilled nursing activities director, geriatric psychologist) has been so helpful, kind, and patient. Even individuals working at reception and in maintenance have been helpful! From my fathers perspective, food is a big deal. Fortunately, the executive chef at the facility provides large, healthy portions of quality food and a good menu. My father looks forward to meals here thank goodness. I am relieved that we have a facility where I know my father is getting good care.

My husband and I have lived in our very nice cottage with double garage for over 8 years. We love the friendly folks here, the smiling staff and all the activities available. Since the lockdown, each day we choose from a menu the three meals we would like delivered to our door on the next day. The food is great, the kitchen staff is working so hard. We are near our church, our family and friends-often invite them to the dining room for dinner. This place is a blessing to many! We are thankful!

I live at The Village in Independent and we have had EXCELLENT care during all of this COVID virus trauma. We get three meals a day of excellent food delivered to our door daily and the variety is amazing. We have an excellent chef who oversees all of it personally and had everything running efficiently the next day! The staff is friendly, courteous, and so helpful for all your needs. Always upbeat and smiling! Before the virus, we had tons of stuff to do, but limited by law at this time. Soon as its over, you can be sure our capable activity director will have us up and running again. And last but not least, we have lovely friends and neighbors to cheer us on at all times!

When I first arrived I really did not want stay and wanted to go home, as there is no place like home, but the staff is amazing and treats you like their family. Within a day or 2 I felt so much better. The PT and OT therapy was awessome and has made me so much stronger. Plus, they want the best for all their patients. They are very knowledgeable. I also have to let you know the food is much better than institutional food. I have loved every meal, and the amount of food is very generous. The nurses and assistants are wonderful. You will love staying here. Make this your first choice. You can thank me later. Best of everything.

I am 88 years old and wheelchair confined due to two strokes while home in NC three years ago. My children arranged my move to The Village at Gleannloch Farms close to themselves so they can oversee my care. The Village has Skilled Care, Memory Care, Independent Living and Assisted Living in the one well planned facility. No place is perfect. Not even home is perfect. But I feel the directors and staff here are among the best.
