My Dad was a resident of Tarina of Cypresswood (formerly Novellus) for 21+ months. He took his final breath there. Our family personally witnessed Excellence in action. We popped in, without notice. He was always clean, fed, involved in an activity, or engaging in conversation. He liked the staff very much. He adopted many of staff as relatives. The facility is clean and the grounds are well-maintained. Meals are tasty and appropriate per the needs of each resident. The staff is pleasant. responsive, and communicates the status of the patient if/when there are notable events. Choosing Tarina of Cypresswood was the best decision we made for our Dad’s final years. I highly recommend this facility.

Tarina Cypresswood has been my 75 year old special needs sister for the past 6 months. This facility has the expertise and capabilities to make her life so much more fulfilling and the staff knows their clients with concern and understanding of their needs. I could not be more pleased with The leadership team and staff who have made my sister happy on every level. The recent Easter Brunch was a fantastic event.

This community has attentive, professionals who care about residents and resident outcome. They have dedicated caregivers that have been in this community for a long time. Tami the activity director, Alex the med aid lead and Yesenia the Resident Care Director are invariably what makes this community stand out. These ladies are truly the backbone of this community and keep residents engaged in fun daily activities, safe with their medications, and overall open communication with family members regarding needs and status of their loved ones. Yesenia is committed to high standards of care and this trickles down to the rest of staff. She knows each resident individually, and those that are able to often stop by her office just to chat. The draw back of this community is one that affects most assissted living and skill nurse communities, they need more staff.

Had to make the difficult decision to place father-in-law into memory care from late stage Alzheimer’s. Bethany at Novellus was amazing, she coordinated the hospital discharge and moving him into the facility all in less than 24 hrs. She personally stayed late to make sure the move in was smooth and came the next day on a holiday weekend to ensure things were ok. Can’t recommend this place more highly, he is being extremely well cared for and loved every day. Bethany and all the staff are true blessings to our family.

I am very thankful to have found Novellus Assisted Living for my Mother. The staff is extremely caring and supportive. I know she is safe and cared for. Bethany was very helpful in helping us pick a room and worked hard to help us get it ready . .She often stops by to talk to my Mom and make her feel special. The staff here are very special the caregivers, activities coordinators and even the wait staff go out of their way to help the residents. My mother in law lived in several different assisted living facilities so I know from experience that Novellus is a great place.

I can’t say enough great things about Novellus Cypresswood!! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere by Ariante at the front desk. Darrel and Lauren were very knowledgeable and were able to take the time to explain and answer any questions I had. When I came in the community, the activity director Tammi had just brought back other residents from the casino!! The staff are incredibly caring and attentive, and always going the extra mile to ensure the seniors feel at home. I can’t tell you how happy I am that my grandma moved into Novellus! Thank you so much to ALL the staff!!!

This community is so refreshing. The outside gives it a nice cozy traditional atmosphere. When you walk in you instantly see that this community is also building a modern look inside. Directors at this community give a professional appearance while the staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place for a parent or a place to settle down with assistance.

I’m very happy here and I am so happy my children chose this place for me. Lupe and her partner are wonderful. William is great. Cooking staff is working on their stuff. Activities are very important to me and they are fantastic. Tammy works very hard to make us happy. Management worked very hard during the power outage.

I moved my 89-year-old mother from an Atria property in California to Texas to be near me - however, I initially didn't choose Atria as it was much farther of a drive for me to visit her. BIG MISTAKE! Six months and many horror stories later we moved her into Atria Cypresswood and it has been a huge blessing! Not only are all the staff outstanding and extremely engaging with the residents, but the facility itself is very clean and well kept. My mother is in LG (Memory Care) and they take such good care of the residents with a great team of caregivers and med techs. And I can't leave out the activities group - they have so much fun with the residents, get them involved and active and plan great activities and outings! I know my mother is very well cared for here and for that I am extremely grateful.

Very nice home, it’s well staffed, my mother was pleased with the facility, but chose another one because of the size of the rooms available at the time. She chose another home in Houston closer to my brother and sister-in-law. Which turned out to be a better location because the Atria flooded twice and the residents had to be moved out by boats and the building had to be rebuilt from the flooding two different times. This would’ve upset her. One time would be one thing, but two times. They should not have reopened as a assisted living for older people.

My grandmother moved into this community almost two year ago, and during the pandemic their love and care for the residence has not ceased. It is a testimony to the hard work and dedication that not one resident was infected by the covid 19 virus. I appreciate all they do daily. Also the management team are hard working and really do care about the well being of their residents and they really go above and beyond. My family and I thank you for taking such good care of her.

Atria Cypresswood has been a blessing for my family. My mother moved in a year ago and was at a place with her health issues that we didn't know how long she'd be with us. After a year she is doing so well that she is able to move into an independent living apartment! The only downside is leaving behind the amazing staff and friends she's made while living there. It is a place I'd highly recommend!

Great place and very clean. Friendly staff who seem to always alert with the residents. Very grateful they were proactive day 1 upon putting in place COVID-19 precautions and guidelines. I wish it was a little larger with more activity rooms to encourage the residents to socialize.
