We moved Dad here when his previous assisted living facility could not meet his needs. We are very, very pleased with Silverado Southlake. Dad is in Nexus. When he started having behavioral issues due to his advancing dementia, Tammie (the Nexus director) helped make sure that his meds were adjusted AND that appropriate interventions/redirections were implemented. They have also shuttled Dad over to Lakeside (the mid-level group) when he has been overwhelmed by activities at Nexus. Dad is sometimes VERY difficult to deal with and the staff is patient, kind, and attentive. They are also kind and responsive to us and our concerns. Dad's physical health and cognition have improved during his time at Silverado. They are a blessing.

Silverado has been an absolute blessing to our family! We found Silverado as a suggestion from Mom's doctor - she said it was unmatched, and she wasn't wrong! Mom has been there for nearly 2 years and it has been life changing for all of us! There are always engaging activities for Mom from daily exercise, current events discussion, Wii bowling, meditation, Bible studies, cooking classes, gardening, art, games, movies, outings and more (you should see the activities calendar - it's AMAZING). The most important part is the *STAFF*! Mom feels loved and cared for there - everyone stops and talks and engages with her (and other residents) from Mike in maintenance (who frequently walks by and gives Mom a quick hug) to Tammy the activities director who can often be found in Mom's or other resident's rooms just to stop by and say "hi". Since Mom has been there, her cognitive tests have improved and she has bonded with staff and other residents. Mom is treated with dignity and is valued for what she CAN do. We are in constant communication with the staff - at least twice a week we receive pictures of Mom participating in activities or sometimes just a few words telling us funny stories about something that happened. We have had an opportunity to get to know other families who have family members at Silverado as well through their family engagements such as holiday parties and an online support group just for us. Don't get me wrong - this disease is no picnic! It's been hard for all of us, but the staff at Silverado have helped us with the transition and definitely given Mom the best possible life she can have at this time. We are forever grateful!

This facility is amazing. I give it 9.5 0ut 0f 10. From the leadership team through the entire staff they genuinely care about the well being of the residents. Everyone is friendly, helpful and interact with the residents. Facility is comfortable and clean. Family participation in actives is promoted. Leadership team holds meetings and call residents loved ones to insure that expectations are being meet and asking what can they improve on. All in all I am extremely pleased with this facility and the care my wife receives.

My mother passed away during the height of COVID lockdown. My family and I did not realize the extent dad was incapacitated/impacted by Dementia. After some time, frustration, guilt, and tears, we realized dad needed memory care. It was a huge blessing to find Silverado and they made our dad's transition as comfortable as possible. They took the time to really get to know him and made him feel loved, valued, and safe. Thank you, Silverado!

Housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance are all exceptional at Silverado. Do not put your loved one here if they have a colostomy bag. They are too big with ever changing caregivers so they can not consistently empty a bag or do PRN drugs. Make sure you have a camera in your loved one's room. That is how I communicated with my mom. I had to call twice because they forgot to feed her. They say they have pets, but they were not in my mom's building of Gardenview. She was put in the lowest of 3 buildings because of her bag for extra care. Gardenview building gets fewer activities when they don't have enough help. I asked that my mom be brought over to Lakeside for actives where she had a blast and ate two of her meals at their beautifully set tables when they remembered to get her. Silverado is very good at listening and trying to implement ways to help your loved one. Nurse Miranda and Nurse Brea are wonderful and treated my mom like family. If my mom did not have the bag, lived in Lakeside with the cat Bandit, and participated in Jennifer's awesome activities, it would have been would been a great home. Unfortunately, it was not a good match for my mom.

Mom's adjustment into Silverado Southlake was seamless-the staff is warm and friendly-Even sending pictures to let me know how she is doing during the day! We have been through several places over the last 10 years and this is by far the best move ever-It's a beautiful place and Mom really enjoys walking around outside and down to gazebo by the lake. She loved having hamburgers grilled outside this week-So thankful for the Silverado staff and how they have made Mom's life better and mine much easier!!!

We moved my relative here because of the need for more mental stimulation and some specific improvements with the actual facility. What we have seen in a short time is improved cognitive abilities, she is actually sitting and reading a book which she has not done in 2 years, and she never mentions being bored here. The size of the facility with being on one level, the gorgeous backyard where they can come and go as they please and the overall feeling of being home vs in a facility are important advantages for our needs. I appreciate the way the staff cares for my relative and as a result, she is very happy there. Also, they have wonderful pets there which adds to the feeling of home. We have experienced the need for medical care and she got what she needed and very quickly. Jennifer Dolan is fantastic with their activities. Amber, Maria and the rest of the office staff have been readily available when I've needed to find them. Cecily Marcus was instrumental in our decision to try Silverado with our relative. The nurses and LVNs are wonderful. I've been there at night, morning, afternoon on both business days and weekend. To date, the consistency is solid. Their food is tasty especially considering how hard it is to cook for multiple dietary needs. I am very pleased with the care all around my relative is receiving here. I am not an employee nor ever have been. I am a family member and advocate for my relative and she is treated with kindness, dignity, and respect which I have seen from every one thus far. Thank you to every member of Silverado for their care.

We searched high and low for a memory care facility for our mother and of all the facilities we visited, Silverado Southlake was the only one we were comfortable with being her age-in-place home. The staff are very caring and loving, and take an interest in not only the resident, but the resident's family as well. They have ongoing activities to keep residents engaged and mobile, and you can tell that the residents are having a fun time. I'm very happy with the quality of care my mother has received while at Silverado Southlake.

I just spent a week in TX visiting our aunt. I cannot believe the difference in her ability to express herself after just 2 months there. She seems so much more relaxed here and her recall has improved dramatically. I knew going in that there were 2 dogs and 2 birds that lived there at Silverado, but the first time I was there, I mentioned that I would like to see the birds. I fully expected her to remember nothing about any birds, but she took me over after dinner and there they were! She told me how sweet the dogs and the kitten are. She said she loves it here, and we spent time outdoors under the covered gazebo out by the water. The staff members who I interacted with all were attentive and relaxed, and seemed genuinely interested in the residents. Everybody I interacted with knew her by name and seems to know something specific to her personality. The property and grounds were very clean and well maintained. The facility itself is beautiful and had the feel of a mansion or a big one-story lodge. Having her in a clean, orderly, well-maintained living space is very important to me and this was important to her, prior to her medical event in 2017 when she lived independently. Her dental health has vastly improved since she has been at Silverado as well, and we all know that oral health can greatly affect overall physical health. A very good first experience here, and I look forward to the next one.

We have been thoroughly impressed with every level of care for our mother. Each employee, regardless of position, has a can do, will do mindset and jumps to serve in whatever capacity is required. The facility is clean and run in a very efficient manner, and the activities are entertaining as well as stimulating. The in house, chef prepared meals are nutritious and delicious. Cannot say enough great things about Silverado in Southlake!
