Had the opportunity to tour the Waterford with my Dad and brother. Deyra was great. She walked us through the process and answered all our questions. We met a few of the residents and everyone was very sweet. Loved the military wall. This was my second visit. The Waterford is on the top of our list of places for my Dad to move into.

All the Staff there are very friendly, I am very happy we picked the Waterford of Thousand Oaks for our mom. All the people have smiling faces and are so friendly every time. My mom loves it here. My mother has been there 3 years. There have have been multiple issues. We found out very quickly the community internet connection was being monitored credit card hackers. She developed a lung infection so we tested the air conditioner and sure enough it had mold inside of it, they did replace the unit. She was without hot water for over a week last fall and there was no concession to her rent for the inconvenience. This spring she moved from a studio to a one bedroom, we reported no internet connection available for over a month before they came to her room to verify and it then took over a week to address. Covid has been an ongoing issue which requires isolation and having meals delivered. Although it is considerably less expensive than other independent living facilities it struggles to provide a reliable return for the money.

I recently had to make a very hard decision of finding a new place for my mom to live and being a healthcare professional specifically in the field of physical therapy with a rehab director background I don't give out praises unless they're due. I have to say that the waterford's A Thousand Oaks made my decision easy and I am so glad that we my family and my mother decided that this would be a good place for her. This particular place isn't just another place it's family it's community and everyone including the staff look out for the each other and I am so impressed. The Waterford @ Thousand Oaks is & was the answer to my prayer, because I asked God to help me find a place for my mom where I can rest easily and not regret the choice I had to make as her Care Giver, A place where I know that she was safe, cared for and looked after, a place where she could thrive, A place I could entrust her to and this is that place.... A place that she now calls home and is loving it.... I highly recommend The Waterford At Thousand Oaks with no hesitation.... Thank You so much to the staff who are much more than care takers they are our new family.... I can not give enough praise...

My mother has been a resident of Waterford at Thousand Oaks for just over a month now. Mom has mild to moderate dementia and we wanted to move her to a home where she could have more interaction and more things to do than the independent living senior apartment where she was living. I have been very impressed with the staff, the quality of the food and the general attitude of the residents since she has been there. All the residents I talk to love it there. It has taken mom a few weeks to get used to things, but she is beginning to make friends and to enjoy herself as well. The time mom has taken to get settled is more a reflection on her dementia than on the facility or it's residents. They have all been very welcoming, but when you can't remember anyones name or often what they look like it's tough. I am grateful for the help they have all been to helping my mom feel at home in her new apartment.
