My Wife, Marilyn, was a guest at Brookdale, Oakwell for almost 3 months! Not only is it a beautiful place, it is probably the best memory care facility in the city. The staff was so good and so kind and just wonderful no matter what time I visited. They were comforting, not only to Marilyn, but also to me. The food was even excellent!

I would like to share my experiences, at Oakwell , Brookdale. The staff, is very knowledgeable and professional. I commend them for being so Attentive, in keeping the place very clean and adhering to the schedules’ as best as possible. Stephanie, director, is always quick to correct any concerns I may have And addresses any perceived problems right away. The staff, ie, Grace Gutierrez, program Coordinator, is exceptional. As well as Christine, Caroline, Mariana and America . Some others as well, but I still don’t know all the names. I am very happy with the care that , Nancy Caridi has received. Walking in immediatelty gave me the feeling of a lovely home. Looks aside, the facility is immaculately clean in every way. The web view showed the bath area. It actually is a completely accessble shower. The halls are cheery with wreaths on doors. I could go on but will conclude with: When I am ready I will move there and hope that the impressive manager will ne there.

There is a lot of attention to the residents by the staff, and my wife feels safe there. They have many scheduled activities on a daily basis that are a fun diversion for the residents.

We moved my Mom in to Brookdale Oakwell 2 years ago. She never thought that she would really like living somewhere other than her home. Surprise! She loves her apartment, the administration, the nurses and all the help. I would highly recommend Brookdale Oakwell to anyone looking for a loving and caring place for their loved one.

This is a wonderful place for your elderly family member. The staff is awesome, you could not ask for more friendly workers (seriously)!! I am the POA for a close friend that we helped find her home at Brookdale Oakwell. She is SO happy here! As her POA, I can assure you, the cost is much less than she was previously paying, and the care provided is superior in every way. The facility is clean (very), the food is excellent and again, the staff "really cares" about the residents!!! The manager and business office are great to work with, very understanding and helpful.

I could not ask for a better place for my Mother-in-Law. We originally moved her into independent living, until it became apparent she needed more supervision. Brookdale Health Staff and Management keep in close touch with me and, when the time came, made the transition into the Memory Care side of the house as seamless possible for both Sue and the family. She is active and cared for. They contact me with any concerns and work with me to give her the best care possible. When it first became apparent that Senior Living was the only option, a friend of mine who has worked in Elder Care for many years, asked me if we could afford Brookdale. So, in a way, this review is from multiple people. And we all think Brookdale Oakwell, and the Brookdale System in general is a wonderful place for senior living. I have visted four of them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Both of my parents have been in the memory care unit since Aug 2012 and I could have not chosen a better place for them. All the staff is so loving and caring. I have never heard or seen any patient not treated with the upmost care and respect. I would have never thought that BOTH of my parents would need this type of care--but it is what it is. When I am away from them, I know that I leave them in good hands.
