We moved my Mom in to Brookdale Oakwell 2 years ago. She never thought that she would really like living somewhere other than her home. Surprise! She loves her apartment, the administration, the nurses and all the help. I would highly recommend Brookdale Oakwell to anyone looking for a loving and caring place for their loved one.

My brother moved into Brookdale Oakwell several months ago when he could no longer live on his own. He moved in there kicking and screaming. In no time he relaxed and began to fit right in. The staff at Brookdale are so warm and loving. They treat him like family and now he says, I love this place. I have peace of mind knowing he is in their care.

Kudos to Dean and Stephanie and all the staff during the coronavirus pandemic. My husband, Howard, is a retired nurse and a resident of Brookdale Oakwell. He tells me that he is so impressed with the infection control measures that are being taken and how seriously they are being enforced. He feels safe and comfortable. We talk on the phone a lot because, of course, I am no longer allowed to enter the facility to visit him. This is as it should be.

This is a wonderful place for your elderly family member. The staff is awesome, you could not ask for more friendly workers (seriously)!! I am the POA for a close friend that we helped find her home at Brookdale Oakwell. She is SO happy here! As her POA, I can assure you, the cost is much less than she was previously paying, and the care provided is superior in every way. The facility is clean (very), the food is excellent and again, the staff really cares about the residents!!! The manager and business office are great to work with, very understanding and helpful.

I could not ask for a better place for my Mother-in-Law. We originally moved her into independent living, until it became apparent she needed more supervision. Brookdale Health Staff and Management keep in close touch with me and, when the time came, made the transition into the Memory Care side of the house as seamless possible for both Sue and the family. She is active and cared for. They contact me with any concerns and work with me to give her the best care possible. When it first became apparent that Senior Living was the only option, a friend of mine who has worked in Elder Care for many years, asked me if we could afford Brookdale. So, in a way, this review is from multiple people. And we all think Brookdale Oakwell, and the Brookdale System in general is a wonderful place for senior living. I have visted four of them and wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

My mother had an 8-month stay at Oakwell and we want to thank every single person involved in this community. They are a very caring staff. We felt they tried their best to accommodate our needs and though it was a short stay for my mother, we felt like family there. If and when my folks are ready to live together in a community, we surely would love to come back to Oakwell.

EMERITUS caring for the hearts, minds n souls of its residents! Awesome. In addition to providing all the obvious needs n wants they provide n encourage spirituality. Diversity! With regular church services offered and provided for by an unlikely ministry team. A motorcycle club called THE WAY. Residents in attendance speak highly of CHARLES SAENZ n KEITH WALL telling them they look forward to church! God bless.

Both of my parents have been in the memory care unit since Aug 2012 and I could have not chosen a better place for them. All the staff is so loving and caring. I have never heard or seen any patient not treated with the upmost care and respect. I would have never thought that BOTH of my parents would need this type of care--but it is what it is. When I am away from them, I know that I leave them in good hands.
