I recently had the opportunity to tour Rock Ridge in Rockwall and had a wonderful experience. Laura was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. She made me feel comfortable and gave me a great overview of the community and its services. What stood out to me the most was the genuine care and compassion shown by the staff. It was clear that the residents are treated with respect, kindness, and attention. I was especially impressed with the memory care area, where the staff went above and beyond to provide personalized care and support for residents. The community felt warm, clean, and inviting, and it was evident that the well-being of the residents is a top priority. My 100-year-old grandmother has just moved into the assisted living portion of Rock Ridge. Laura in sales could not be kinder or more informative. Hope took me through the admittance paperwork with kindness that was just exceptional. Paula, Denise, Hannah, and Dede have the most daily interaction with my grandmother. The fact that these dear souls are caring for my grandmother while she is at Rock Ridge is an indescribable blessing. We are very new to this facility, but I wanted to share that if you are looking for care for a loved one, I would recommend checking out Rock Ridge.

Laura was incredibly kind, welcoming, and took the time to give me a wonderful tour of the community. The model homes were beautiful, spacious, and felt very comfortable and inviting. I especially loved the memory care area and its peaceful garden space, which adds such a warm and calming touch to the environment. The staff were all very friendly and attentive to the residents. My elderly father in law requires an incredible amount of patience and care but has settled in nicely here. The staff is communicative and kept us informed, which we appreciate and value. The Executive Director, Hope has gone above and beyond helping us navigate complex and difficult situations in dealing with a moderate dementia diagnosis. The apartments are top notch. The facility is clean and well maintained. The staff is helpful and ensures needs are met. We had lunch and the chicken was tasty, but the noodles were overcooked. The sales rep was thorough when she showed us around. She was wonderful! We could easily see her passion as she communicated the information. We went over pricing and the apartment rent seemed reasonable but the care levels were too pricy jumping $400+ as the levels increased. This was much higher than the the other assisted living facilities in the area. The building was beautiful

Looks like a nice place, hence the 2 stars. It is clean and doesn't smell but poor management and persistent unkept promises. As for the chef they advertise, there isn't one or just somone given the title of chef without any training. Sometimes the maintenance guy even has to cook. The food with the exception of breakfast, is just frozen food heated up. This week dad asked 3 times for a glass of water with his meal.. He asked for dressing for his salad and staff brought a gallon jug out to the table and said " say when".The activities schedule looks enticing but staff doesn't show up to lead on time or expects them to be resident led. There are really no outside the facility activities except a Walmart run. No music, sing alongs, free movies....nothing! The things residents say they like to do don't happen. No wonder why they have little participation. Residents that should be on the memory unit are allowed to roam the halls unattened and often just walk in my dad's apartment. His bed is made once a week if he is lucky and no he is up early every day! Weekends are even worse with no management on site. They even change the code on the front entrance without giving to family emergency contact or residents. A few months ago, I was called and told by staff I needed to come urgently only to not be able to get in for 20 minutes as the code was changed. Last week my dad, a resident, was locked out and we banged on the door for more than 15 minutes. So many promises of improvement with no change. There have been 3 directors since my parents moved in...still the same problems persist. Just ask actual residents. The sales people would be great used car sales with their pitches. The phone at the desk rings incessantly in the evenings. Shame on you Rockridge! These seniors deserve better!

We moved our Mom into Rock Ridge Assisted Living in Rockwall a week ago. She had been in a rehab hospital for three months, and it had been an up and down experience. We looked around for assisted living facilities while she was in the rehab hospital, and, as a family, we all agreed that Rock Ridge was where we wanted her to go. After the first week, I could not be happier with our decision. Everyone we have met so far has been so hospitable and so caring with our Mom. The facilities at Rock Ridge are so nice, and so far the care has been exceptional. Mom is still in an adjustment phase, but I am confident that she will come love calling Rock Ridge home.

We moved my wife’s elderly father into Rock Ridge from physical rehabilitation. The ribbon cutting and welcome party was a great way to welcome us. From the initial visit, Haley made the process seamless and provided guidance throughout. One thing that I appreciate is the communication- anytime a need arises or we experience a concern, day or night, weekday or weekend, we’ve been assisted. When I think of where I’d what to spend my later years, anything similar to Rock Ridge would be what I’d want. Thanks Rock Ridge!

We moved my dad here a little over a year ago because the sales director was so convincing about how wonderful this place would be. We were so excited about the move. We learned very quickly that the sales pitch was comparable to a used car salesman. While we think the caregivers and amazing housekeeper were exceptional and can not sing their praises enough, Rock Ridge is very poorly run. In less than a year we went through three directors. We tried very hard to give each one time to improve the situation. We voiced our concerns as far as corporate several times. We were asked to give them a few weeks to improve matters. The last director before we left was not accessible. No matter how many times we voiced concerns, nothing improved. We have moved my dad to a nearby assisted living that is not new or updated like Rock Ridge but the warm, friendly administration and staff make it so pleasant it feels like home. Instead of the move being hard for him, my dad has flourished in his new home, something he did not do at Rock Ridge. We are so glad we moved him. Trust me, there is a much better place in Rockwall than Rock Ridge.

I visited this Facility in my search for potential living quarters, for my Mother-in-Law. I was warmly greeted by an Associate, asked a few brief questions and then taken on a tour of this facility. This retirement center was clean, brightly lit, well maintained and fresh.
