The worst place ever. I was sent there after being in the hospital following major back surgery. They advertise they do rehab. They don’t do a single bit of rehab. They put padding around the bed when you go to bed and if you try to get up it shakes and makes you fall down. I was not supposed to fall down ever and I fell down seven times because of this horrible place. They did not one single bit of rehab for me and they make you wear depends at night because even when you piss the call button, they don’t come. You just have to pee like three times in your depends before somebody might come and help you. The food is inedible. I lost 10 pounds being in that facility about seven or eight days. I can’t say one good thing about it.

I want to sing the praises of Nancy Lott in billing department. She has been a godsend to our family for my brother , Donald, on his multiple admissions to your facility. She has gone way over and above her job going down to his room making sure his phone is within reach when we called & he didn't pick up days at a time & we were unable to either reach the nursing staff or they wouldn't call us back. She has gone the extra mile when I called and left a VM with Emanuel the dietary manager to call me so that I could list some items my brother would like to get on his trays, IF they were available. But he never called me back. She easily sent an email to dietary with my requests. I was a Registered Dietitian before I retired in both hospitals & nursing homes & I know there are limitations. Nancy has not only worked with us in getting the Medicaid application but facilitated so many of the above actions in addition to being such a nice lady who always graciously takes my calls & is willing to check my brothers phone so that he can get our calls. Those calls mean so much to us & him with him being in hospice. Cararra you have such an asset in Nancy Lott as your employee. She is amazing!

One morning, I awoke in a dark beautiful bedroom suite . I didn't know where I was! Joe,LVN and Evan CNA immediately assured me everything would be fine. Later that day I was introduced to what was to become a fantastic patient therapy team; consisting of Kaitlyn (who was transferred to Ft. Worth., Jade Ramer. There were many more therapists whose name I failed to get. I also had an occupational therapists, Betty Varghese; along with a speech therapists. I was given the best nurses, aids, Yeti. My medical team consists of Issac, Rosemary, Angelo. Jennifer and teeny was also a blessing. I recommend Carrarar for professional services.

This is the first facility in which we've had our 94 year old mother that I don't worry about her and I can sleep at night. From the Director, Jennifer G., to the Director of Nursing, Emmanuel, the nurses such as Elizabeth, and especially the CNA, Samantha Rabb, who helps Mom almost daily, have attended to her medical needs and have been responsive to her unique needs. Even the Speech Therapist, Kathy, along with all the others have exceeded our expectations. Samantha, particularly, has gone above and beyond helping Mom. She is kind, respectful and caring to all I've seen her with.

My dad has been to many facilities and hopefully Carrara will he the last. My dad is 83 yrs. old, suffers from FTD Dementia, vascular disease and recently a brain bleed. Carrara is the best facility for him short & long term. I am so grateful to everyone we have met. They truly take time and care for my dad. My dad has been mishandled and misunderstood by other facilities. Cararra is beautiful, clean, welcoming and the people have been wonderful. Joseph A. (Nurse) has been not only caring and thoughtful to my to my dad, but also to me and our family. Joseph's sincerity, calming tone and thoughtfulness makes me know he cares and everything is going to be okay. He's polite, professional and takes time to listen. We are blessed to have found Carrara for my mother. The care and love given is exceptional. The nurses, and the nurses aids (thank you Daniella,) clearly love what they do, and they do it so well! Carrara's handling of COVID should be written up, and studied as a how to guide for all of the other facilities. My gratitude for keeping my mother safe and happy through a very scary and potentially dangerous situation. My mother has been at Carrara since day one, over six years ago. I want to give major shoutouts to two amazing caregivers there Katherine runs all the programming and activities for the residents. She's a born caregiver. and nurturer. She offers daily activities that are fun, stimulating, need and ability appropriate, and embrace all the participants. Katherine offers her programs with her innate tender loving care, nurturing, and enthusiasm. I absolutely adore her. More importantly, my mother adores her. Gertrude is a blessing to me for the way she takes care of my mother. Gertrude is her weekday nurse (thank you G-d,) who was born to be a nurse. She takes care of my mom with her tremendous nursing skills, along with tenderness, care, and compassion Despite her busy day, when need be, Gertrude always keeps me updated regarding my mom's health. Both these women are the best, and I'm so glad to have them in my mom's life. ,

My brother has been a resident of Carrara for a few years and our entire family is greatly appreciative of the care he has received. The Staff is extremely aware of each patient's needs and adapts their schedules to fit the requirements of each resident. During the Covid crisis they kept all families up to date on anything that might be of concern, such as positive test results of Staff. They took immediate action to insure that all residents are separated from anyone that might test positive. I can recommend Carrara as a first class facility without any reservations.

My grandfather was there for almost 100 days!! He had an issue with swallowing... he had a tube in his nose and could not walk when he got there. Within a little over a month his tube was out and he was able to walk with a walker. We were able to take him out for lunch and shopping. The staff was great! Therapy was the best!!! The overall facility was neat clean and well kept and 90% of the overall nursing staff was friendly, attentive and responsive, the rest, let's just say, were lacking. The food was above average but as all food in these facilities is a bit bland. A Huge Shout Out to the Rehab folks especially my OT and PT ladies Ms. Tamara and Ms. Jeannie who were attentive, kind and understanding as they went about doing a fantastic job getting me back on my feet and getting me where I felt confident enough to move on my own. My Mom has been here about 2 yrs. I love the facility as it is well kept. Within this year, a new Activity Director started... Ms Katherine. Ms Katherine is a very valuable asset to Carrara. Not only does she manage the activities and keeps the residents involved, including some that normally would not attend activities, but she has a depth of experience working with people with various disabilities, like psych. That allows her to better assist residents that sometimes can be a challenge to reach at their difficult moments. Because of her experience and passion for what she does, Carrara has been able to leverage her in multiple capacities to assist with the care of the residents. MS. KATHERINE IS AN INVALUABLE ASSET. I HOPE SHE IS THERE FOR TGE LONG HAUL...THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO.

We would like to say that the rehab here is very good. We were told at hospital my husband would have PT 4x day...but found out it is only 2x day. That was disappointing but Jeanne and Tamara are the very best at what they do in PT/OT so he is progressing well at this time. We them both. He has been in here for 2 weeks now and the very best thing we can say at this point is that we are so excited and comfortable to know Katherine is here helping him learn to be a patient. She is such a gentle person and we Love her as a Sister in the Lord Jesus. I hope this co is ok with us saying this. If not I can only say I'm sorry.

I came because of the good reputation of the OT and PT. Which was great! The whole team has really worked hard at getting me back to where I was before surgery. An added bonus was the activities director who helped me greatly. She also did activities that helped me with eye hand coordination. She was such a joy to watch as she worked with people! Now, the reason I only gave the place a 4. Housekeeping. The first room they put me in stunk! It took them 3 days to move me to another room that didn't stink, but the floors hadn't been vacuumed. The surfaces had not been wiped down, nor was any housekeeping done while I stayed there. One nice lady in Adm. got a housekeeper to come to what I refer to as the stinky room and she did a great job cleaning , except the odor was still there. My next advice would be not to transfer in on a Friday. You get weekend staff ... I came to rehab, not just sit, so it was a waste of time.

Nancy in the front office has worked with me to get my mother in the best condition to get moving and working for herself again. Kathryn, the activities coordinator, was so sweet and is very active within the building to get all the patients/people involved. The people and facility at Carrara are fantastic! My wife was there for three weeks and received some of the best care a person can receive. Attentive, compassionate, committed. Bertrand, Matthew, Micha, Okey, Roslyn, Rosemary, and Dee Dee, are the finest nurses and aides you will find anywhere. The rehabilitation team, Becky, Rachel, Rutchel, Kathy, Omar, and Nodish, did everything in their power to restore my wife's ability to stand and walk again. The rehab sessions were regular and extensive. The food was always good! Finally, Nancy, the Admissions Director, held it all together by her "always positive" attitude of "we can do it!". I highly recommend Carrara. It's not just a rehab facility, it's people that make the difference. These professionals have what it takes to make a tough time pleasant. Thank you all.

My stay here at CARARRA's hasn't always been a dream. I moved here with my husband of 48 years. He had Alzheimer's/Dementia and where we were living found here, because he was requiring full care in all functions of life. I had been his caregiver, but my health went bad, so I did all I could . would run into issues, his diaper needed changing and I can't be that physical. So I'd turn the light on to call the CNA or nurse and I'd wait and after a few hours, you knew you were being ignored. Or lunch would be delivered and the CNA would say she'd be right back to feed him, after I sat and ate mine and no one came, I'd set it up so I could feed him. And they would do this more often. My husband passed away here last April. Then Nurse LaTonya Brown became Unit Manager over Nurses and CNA'a, Things were getting bad, staff would call and not come in, leaving us without a nurse or CNA, and LaTonya would come in for their shift. She is wonderful, has a great personality, smiling and being very kindhearted even when being confronted. She'll smile and answer questions the best she can. If she told you she'd get something done, she does, no matter what happens, she finds a way to take care of you and your angst! She's a beautiful Christian lady who has empathy in every situation. She is very fair regarding the options to get relief on both sides. I just love her, if they take her off my unit, there will be several of us screaming! I've been here nearly a year and I've not met or seen the Executive Director, or her Assistant Director, Social Services worker, I was told I currently don't have one, anyone over laundry services, I'm told for close to a month here that we don't have anyone in the maintenance department and my television has quit working, thank goodness there were two in here. The Finance Director I have met, (she wants my money!) The Director of HR comes by about once a week and the Culinary Director comes by monthly. I've not met a manager in housekeeping, they could use one. They have been kind enough to not put another person in the room , allowing me some quiet time to grieve, I've been very emotional. LaTonya tries to keep me without a roommate so I can be mentally prepared to live with a new person. We need to get along on television, company, communication and bedtime, what is preferred. That's a lot but things are getting better, so there's hope after all!

Usually, when you do a review, you're comparing it to some thing that you've experienced in the past. I can say the Carrera exceeds rehabilitation centers, that I've experienced in the past. I gave them a four-star not that they're perfect but the fact they strive to correct an issue. Most centers do not. They're thoughtful they try real hard. To meet all your needs and by the way, they are the only center in the area that will administer an IV antibiotics.
