I chose this place for my mom after several tours. However, what I was told by the facility staff and what actually happened was not okay. The marketing person, Bert, was amazing. However, once she moved in, all promises were broken. They said she would be evaluated by their in-house doctor within days, but after 3 weeks, still nothing. The marketing guy said she would be reevaluated for a move from memory care to assisted living within 2 weeks; and the Nurse Coordinator said nope. That only happens once a month. They need to get their story straight. No one ever returns calls or emails except for the marketing guy. The nurse coordinator is really rude and dismissive and won't answer calls or emails. I wouldn't recommend. I have mom in a new place that is the total opposite of this, and I'm so grateful that I got her out of there. She is now thriving at 2 months in her new facility in assisted living and is cigarette free (after being a lifelong smoker) and walks daily. This is all owed to the amazing staff with their practical and hands-on treatment plan. Quite a contrast to the Reserve where they put her in lockdown memory care and wouldn't move her out. I also find it very interesting that a string of short 5-star reviews have been posted in the last week from people who don't mention having a loved one living there. This is exactly the kind of thing that drove me away - smoke and mirrors.

I could not be more pleased with the experience at The Reserve at Pearland. I am very impressed by the warm, inviting atmosphere and the friendliness of both the staff and residents. The community itself is beautifully maintained, offering cozy common areas, well-appointed dining rooms, and peaceful central park. The staff are exceptional; they are not only highly skilled and professional but also genuinely compassionate and attentive to each resident's needs. The range of activities available is another huge plus. The community fosters a strong sense of belonging and offers plenty of opportunities for social interaction, which is so vital for seniors. The food is another highlight, with a variety of healthy, chef-prepared meals that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of the residents.

The staff makes you feel that you are a part of a caring family. They make you feel very welcomed especially the Executive Director, Maricar. She is very hands-on, she possess a good leadership skills and a passion to care for older adults. She will walk you through the process of ensuring your love ones will be taken care of and help you with the process. She doesn't just run a business but she is very passionate in helping people to get situated and live a quality life in transitioning to live in an assisted living facility. She is very knowledgeable and efficient on what she does. She make sure that the process is smooth and that residents will feel welcomed and comfortable. Maricar is very approachable without regards to time, she will pick up a call or respond to a text any time of the day or night. She is very responsive.

We are so impressed with the staff, the facility, and all the activities that are offered. This is a great facility to put your loved ones. They are very attentive to our mother. However, if Mr Alpha is not in charge some workers seem to be very relaxed and not wanting to work. I don’t know why Mr Aplha is no longer the memory care director. He was doing a phenomenal job. And he needs to be put back in that position. We will be reaching out to corporate on this. He always makes sure the memory care residents are well taken care of. But when he’s not there it’s a whole new ball game so to speak. Granted there are some care givers that need to be fired especially on third shift for lack of checking on our mother and helping her to the bathroom. Maricar the director of the whole facility is awesome.when there is a complaint she’s right on it. But we need Aplha back as memory care director. The girls that go above and beyond are Nuveia,, Raven , Auriliea, Kizzie, , Taskke, (Oscar and Crystal when they are on memory care side!) I REALLY CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT RAVEN, AURILLIEA AND NUVIEA! They are awesome caregivers! The old saying, if it’s not broke don’t fix it THESE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN DESERVE RECOGNITION! Cleaning can be much better. Cleaning people are not very good maybe retraining would be a good thing.I wanted to add certain care givers are always on there phone. A rule should be set in place. Watching movies while trying to care for these folks . I’ve witnessed it my self several times.

The Reserve memory care is awesome the care givers are so good with this forgotten population. Staff , directors are awesome. There’s only one problem, it’s a little dated and the carpet in memory care has a smell to it. We have allergies that act up when we are visiting. It really could use a steam cleaning the whole carpet. Also living area needs cleaning and disenfecting . Tables chairs piano kitchen counters fridge. Chairs all need steam cleaning they are filthy.. hopefully this will be taken care of . I’m there every day and I never see any type of cleaning in living room and dining room. Disenfecting needs to be done EVERYDAY!

I had the opportunity to come and notarize documents at this facility and am blown away by how professional, courteous and sweet the staff is. Every staff member I encountered greeted me with a smile and the residents were happily about and greeted me as well. I did notice that they have covid safety protocols in place, for the protection of the sweet residents.

I moved to Colonial Oaks 3 years ago, and it was the best decision Ive ever made. They clean my apartment and take out my trash. I dont have to cook my meals, and theyll even bring it to me if I dont want to go to the dining room. Ive made dear friends who I can see whenever I want. When I need help, I push my button and the caregivers help me get dressed. My daughter set up my apartment, and it is gorgeous. It fit everything I needed it to. This place has become my home. Ill tell everyone about it.

My parents moved to Colonial Oaks Pearland four years ago and received excellent care. They were both able to live out the remainder of their life there. My dad passed about a year ago, and recently this year, my mom passed too. While it was difficult time for me, I had confidence in the team there to take care of my parents. I am so thankful to the caring staff for making sure my parents were comfortable up until the end.

My mother has lived at Colonial Oaks for the last 7 years. While things have not been perfect, she has always been treated with kindness and care. The staff know her habits (like wearing her hair a certain way or which clothes pair together) and this has helped them care for her. Even as her memory loss got worse, they still bring my mom out for activities looking like she always has. There are no odors in the building, and it really feels like home.

My mother-In-law is a resident here. They do so much for the residents. They play Pokeno and Bingo as well as going to lunch evey Wednesday to restaurants in the Pearland area. They also handle all medications and check in with the residents in their appartments. There are one bedroom and studios.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this facility and its staff. My parents are residents here and I honestly could not have picked a better place (believe me we looked). It is clean, efficient, and the staff goes out of their way to help and make special accommodations, even while having their hands full with Covid. The director of this facility gives 200% on any given day (or night as needed). She in turn receives the same from her staff. If you ever find yourself in need of an assisted living facility for a family member this is THE place to go. They go out of their way to help the entire family through the process !!

Our loved one has been residing at Colonial Oaks in their Memory Care community since December 26, 2018. We are very pleased with the care she is getting there. The staff and employees under Veronica Anthony are very dedicated and committed to the services that our loved one has received. Whenever there are doctor appointments scheduled, the driver gets her there on time and returns promptly to get her back. Each time that we have any concerns or questions, they will respond and resolve it promptly. From the beginning of our visit to the end when we leave, there are warm hellos, smiles, and goodbyes.

My grandmother was in this facility for over a year. The staff is very attentive and caring. The staff turn over is minimal. Under Lakeyda Patterson and Dee Latiolais is the reason why this facility is #1; unfortunately we could no longer pay to have my grandmother here but it was the best 18 months. The activities director is very hands-on and creative. The facility is beautiful and the residents are very well cared for.

My parents have been at Colonial Oaks for 7 months. Dee Latiolais was a huge help with the transition and went over and above what I think should be expected. She and her peers at Colonial Oaks are seasoned pros and really helped us get through this tough decision. More importantly, after just a few months my parents starting calling Colonial Oaks home and realized that moving to the big house was the best thing for them. Their weight has stabilized, they arent worried about their future and they finally have some peace. I highly recommend Colonial Oaks. Its a top notch facility with the best staff who are now like family.

Love the staff at Colonial Oaks!!! My brother, sister and I visited several different facilities when it was time to help my parents transition into an assisted living environment. The food is good, the staff is awesome, lots of activities to keep mind and body as active as possible. Lisa and her staff are very proactive in communicating with us when necessary about our parents. My dad said that while it isnt home, it is the next best thing and they need the support Colonial Oaks provides. Family members are always welcome to visit, stay for a meal and be part of any activities.

Colonial Oaks at Pearland, Texas-January 2015 My husband and I both arranged for our mothers to live at Colonial Oaks. My mother was an original resident and took great pride in being known as one of the founding members of Lady Oaks and its boutique. Sadly, both of our mothers have passed away as they were over ninty years of age.; one with cancer and the other with heart disease. We are so thankful our mothers had the experience of living their last years at Colonial Oaks. I miss not being able to go over there, and being a part of the loving family atmosphere. However, the entire staff has continued to invite us to come over for any activity. There is no way I could ever repay the staff for being truly outstanding and kind to all of us. There was no request which went ignored. In that my husband and I were over a Colonial Oaks at all times of the day and night, I can say with complete honesty that I never observed anything but a caring and concerned attitude by all. There is no perfect world, and many seniors do not like leaving their homes..Believe me, Colonial Oaks is much better than leaving your loved one at home to try to manage their elder years. My mother had in home 24hr. care and lived at another facility until Colonial Oaks opened. My husband and I have visited many facilities throughout the years and took pride in our parents having the best care. We both are still thankful each day that our parents lived in the best, and passed away in the best. The expression of caring continued through death and many staff members gave up their only day off to attend the funerals. They had become our family. In addition, they went the extra mile after my mother and some other residents died last winter to have one of the most beautiful memorial services I have ever attended. The Colonial Oaks is in such a great location and they know experts in medicine to bring in to help when needed. On a cheerful note, the facility has tremendous entertainment and volunteers from thoughout the entire community. They have many churches which come and have services and visit. Colonial Oaks is the kind of place people want to go to. The management will work with you and communicate with you, no matter what. Everyday the staff works to make the facility a better place. The management and staff have many years in the experience of caring for others. They know what they are doing and will sincerely try to make your loved ones life and their families life a better one. I am posting this review only because I hope I might be doing a favor for someone out there trying to find the best place for themselves and, or their love one. Still today when passing Colonial Oaks I shed a tear, but I give thanks to God for helping all of us....PS-My little dog children still cry out when they pass Colonial Oaks because they too loved being able to go over and see their grandmothers.

My wife has been in the memory care wing of Colonial Oaks at Pearland for over a year and was at another Colonial Oaks residence for the two prior years. Ive been very impressed with the care and love that the staff provides my wife. Theyre attentive and treat her like a part of their family. They also go out of their way to make sure that the residents are stimulated with a variety of daily activities and not just confined to their rooms. Management is excellent and I feel very fortunate to have found Colonial Oaks.

Lifestyle changes motivated the move to Colonial Oaks of Pearland for my 90 year old father. I was very up front with the staff regarding his personality and needs. They reassured me he would adapt well. It took about 6 to 8 months for him to become comfortable and call CO of P home. There were a few issues to resolve and the staff helped complete the tasks. The staff is very friendly, likeable, courteous and care about the residents. The facility is kept clean and safe. Three course meals are served on table clothed cover dining room tables. A private dining room is available for family gatherings. The theater room is very comfortable. The Activities Director keeps events happening all the time. Occasionally the residents have piano accompaniment during dinner. Each room is private with a full bath and kitchenette. Laundry facilities are available for resident use. I have yet to be billed or notified for any unexpected or surprise fees. After looking at several facilities in the area, I am glad I chose Colonial Oaks of Pearland.

My sister moved to Houston a little over a year ago, and upon my recommendation she moved into Colonial Oaks, Pearland. I had such a good feeling about the place from the very first day I went there for a tour, talked to Dee Latiolais, Marketing Director, and I have never regretted choosing Colonial over the other places I toured. The staff is all so helpful and friendly, the place is clean, the food is good. They always follow through on any suggestions or concerns Ive had about my sister. They offer a wide variety of activities for all of the residents, and the staff goes above and beyond in encouraging the residents to participate. I belong to the Red Hat Society, and I was so pleased when Colonial decided to start a chapter there for the ladies. Im proud to say that my sister was even elected Queen! She continues to enjoy living there, and has never once voiced a complaint about anything there. She only has praise for everything about Colonial. Yes, it definitely deserves a 5-star rating as far as our family is concerned.
