There were many days that my mom was a difficult resident. Her mental decline and frequent falls led us to seek help from the Lakehouse. The staff was always patient and compassionate. No words can truly express the gratitude my family has for the care given to my mother and the kindness my father received as he was able to visit her frequently.

Sarita..I know there's lots of publicity about bad nursing homes however, I thank God and so does all of my family for your facility. My Mom was admitted to this facility in home hospice. She has been here 2 years and is now home health. She has been able to thrive at this facility inspit of being bed bound. She participates in activities and enjoys her time here. They have her out of bed all day. We are all able to visit anytime, so we all pop in regularly. This facility is always clean and very well kept. My Mom's physical, mental and nutritional health is excellent here. Your facility is a godsend thank you so much for you and all of your staff!!

Our mom has been a resident apprx 2 years. One of first things we liked is it is a very homey/Cozy environment. That is good for her. (non nursing home...) She is comfortable/cared for. Owner/Mgr communicates regularly, informally-good thing. Sometimes we get photos during activities. We are always welcome to voice our input. My only suggestion- it would be helpful if staff wears a nametag (first name.....)

My mom has been at Lakehouse @ Dixie since august of this year (22). I visit often and would recommend this home for an aging parent that needs round the clock care. It is always clean and never smells like some of the other places I visited. Of course the home style meals smell great when the girls are cooking for the residents who eat together at a big family table. Older people especially those with dementia are sometimes difficult. These people show love, concern and respect to everyone. Thumbs up!

My grandma was a resident here during the start of covid in 2020. All of the employees took the proper precautions, and they took excellent care of my grandma. During covid we were unable to come inside and see her but the owner Sarita and the employees kept us updated with numerous pictures, and helped us FaceTime her along with us being able to visit her through the window. Lakehouse on Dixie took amazing care of grandmother and my family could not recommend them enough.

I enjoy visiting Dixie to interact and talk with the residents. Right now during Covid I am unable to, because Sarita follows the rules and regulations, and often she is going above and beyond to ensure her residents are safe. I think that there are some reviews that have been left by people who may have never even visited once. Lakehouse On Dixie has kept themselves at the top for meeting all of the state standards set for a Type B facility. After one visit, it will become apparent to anyone interested in a facility that this is one of the best in our area. Meals are served daily, residents have chair exercises, piano concerts, fun craft activities, petting zoos, magic shows and the list goes on. Of course its planned throughout the year and not all on one day, and for the safety of the residents there are no trips out of the facility planned, but family members often take their loved ones out to eat or to shop, and Sarita always makes sure that when they leave they are dressed and ready and when they get back they are offered a meal and caught back up. This facility will never be a mess or smell, and I do mean never because Sarita would not stand for that. When you walk into the facility you are often greeted at the door by Sarita or one of her staff members, and if you look Im sure the pillows will be plumped. To anyone looking for a home for someone they care about, this is where you should look. Sarita is not just the manager she is the owner, and for an owner to be present, and walking the halls often, I know nothing will ever be out of place. Meet Sarita once and take a tour, I know you will feel the same way I do... Lakehouse On Dixie is not a facility, it is not a hospital, it is a home. My grandmother spent her last few months here, and I could not be more grateful for the kind women that cared for her, and looked after her like their own mom or grandma.

My elderly mother has dimentia and has been at Lakehouse on Dixie for over a year now. The owner is very conscientious about ensuring the safety of the patients during this lockdown period. The staff are kind and very helpful for Mom. My mother has a lovely view of the lake from her room and enjoys interfacing with staff and other residents during social and exercise periods during the day and can return to her room to watch TV when she wants privacy. They are diligent about making sure she takes her medications which results in positive medical reports from Moms Dr. They only accept a limited number of residents so I feel more individual attention can be paid to the residents living there. I would recommend this facility to friends and family!

Love this place, the owner and the staff. We we referred by our hospice care team. They give great care for a super special friend of mine and treat her with respect. She has no children and over the years has become like a mom to me and my family. The Lakehouse is always clean and smells good. The staff is very helpful in reminding me when it’s time to refill her medications that hospice doesn’t cover. They are always kind to her visitors which are allowed entry anytime. My friend is very picky when it comes to eating and the staff is always helpful in heating up special food I bring in for her. I can’t say enough great things about this facility. It sits beside a beautiful lake with a cozy little patio to enjoy the nice days on.

The Staff at the Lakehouse on Dixie in Pearland took care of my Mother during the last year of her life. While this was not what she wanted, the Staff helped her be comfortable and accommodated her needs until the Hospice Staff took over which was very well coordinated between Lakehouse and Hospice. The Lakehouse on Dixie has been a wonderful assisted living facility for my family member. The staff members are caring and compassionate in an environment which is very likely difficult in which to work. It takes a special kind of caring and empathetic person to work with senior citizens. The residential atmosphere is always clean and smells very clean and home-like. In my opinion, the owner, Sarita Lee, runs a very tight ship, and her efforts are obvious in the overall management of The Lakehouse. At the two times we needed their help the most, they were there for us, the family, in the greatest way imaginable. Based on anecdotal stories I've heard around the city, they are also very cost competitive. Additionally, the view of the lake in the rear of the property is very comforting for the residents. I would recommend The Lakehouse on Dixie to anyone who is considering it as an option for a family member as a place to live.

We moved our mother a few times as her condition progressed over several years, so I have toured more facilities than I can remember. I only wish we would have found Lakehouse on Dixie sooner. The facility was always clean, and always smelled clean. It is an older home with an incredible lake view. They are very strict about following state rules and regulations, so we knew everything in the house was up to code and safe. Sarita also connected us with additional resources through hospice, who were invaluable. The staff went above and beyond to care for mom and work with us during the last part of her life. Suzette, Sandra and Marissa, and several other members of the team, were wonderful.

We were very pleased with the care my mother-in-law (MOL) received here. The staff are loving and kind to the residents, and keep the home cleaner than any nursing home I have ever been to. During the year (Feb 2016- Feb 2017) my MOL was there, she was in advancing stages of dementia. Sarita, the owner of Lakehouse on Dixie, understood the stages of progression and guided us to the proper medical and support resources that helped us and them provide better care for her. The cost was much more reasonable than most other full-time memory-care facilities.

The care provided to my elderly, blind mother-in-law was fantastic! She required assistance with eating and most other routine things throughout the day. The staff was kind towards her and always listened to my concerns regarding her care. Oftentimes changes in her care was needed and I found those changes were implemented without issue. I highly recommend The Lakehouse on Dixie for anyone needing assisted living in an at-home environment.
