My 97 year old grandmother has been there a few months and it's been the best thing for her. Friendly, caring staff and small community make it a great place for my loved one!

This place is amazing! Jenna and Chestin are the most kind and generous people! They helped walk me through everything I needed to do to get my dad in their care. The staff is amazing, and they have the biggest, kindest hearts. My dad is happy, safe, and so very well taken care of. My favorite part is that they let me come visit as often as I want and stay as long as I want. They allow my kids to be kids, so my dad can fully enjoy his grandkids. You cannot find a better place!

As you drive from gruene to the property, it’s beautiful ! There are horses next door, huge outdoor patio that connects the two homes. Old rocking chairs on the patio, the fence line is next to a wedding venue and the deer come up at night! Inside it’s like a home away from home. The residents are happy and staff is phenomenal. Chestin and his staff make your lives one feel at home. After you experience this home you don’t need any where else !

Caregivers and staff truly care for the residents. Small homelike buildings make the transition to a “facility” much easier. Family caring for family ❤️

Moving my husband from a fancy facility in New Braunfels to the comfort and care homelike environment was the best decision my sons and I made for him. We only regret not having done it sooner. All of his caregivers were passionate about their residents. An example of this was one of the young ladies told me their rule was to treat each person as if he/she were his/her grandparent and that rule was not to be broken! Mercy House is a first class facility from Cheston and Laura to their entire staff. My husband's stay was short lived but I always knew he was cared for. Many thanks to an outstanding group of dedicated people.

Talk about PHENOMENAL, loving care by AMAZING Staff!! Chestin & his team make the process of putting a loved one in Longterm, Assisted Living or Memory Care an easy thing. They clearly love what they do & truly honor the lives of each & every resident in their care. It’s a very beautiful thing!

My husband has been at Sodalis/Mercy House for over a year now and I can't say enough good rhings about the compassion and competence of the lovely staff. He began as a participant in adult day care and often when I brought him back to our house after a day there, he'd say, "I don't want to be here, I want ro go home!" (Meaning back to the facility) So when the time came this January to place him permanently, it was an easier than normal transition. This is, indeed, a homelike environment. Others look so intimidating, like a giant complex or hotel, and if you're dealing with memory loss, that's an added complication. At Mercy House, it's like an actual home with adult children taking care of parents or grandparents in an intimate, personal setting. The Aides are always asking the residents if they're comfortable, want a glass of water or a snack, or if they're cold or need the bathroom...just the kind of attention you'd give at home. And it smells good! Never a smell of stale urine or other unpleasant odors. Oh yes, and there's Honey, the facility dog, who knows how and when to offer comfort and the bird feeder in the lovely little enclosed yard where residents can stroll or sit on the covered porches and enjoy the breeze and each other's company under the big shade trees. Yes Sodalis sold this facility to Mercy House. But the new management is amazing in their level of commitment to residents and their families and any ideas you have about possibly improving your loved one's experience are met with full support - and ACTION! Sometimes I go in and find little improvements I'd meant to get around to (like a wreath on his door or the bird feeder outside his window) only to find it done! - probably by Jamie, the Activities Director, who's always adding nice touches, or Chestin. the Executive Director, whose answer is always "Of course you can do/try that!" He supports anything that adds to the resident's comfort and the family's concerns as long as it doesn't violate regulations. In fact, he offers to help! As my husband has deteriorated from walking, talking and socializing to bed and wheelchair bound with minimal ability to communicate, their care and personal concern for him have accelerated with his needs. But others have different needs, and during my year of frequent visits, I've seen these Aides deal with situations involving aggression, "dementia frenzy" and distress of various sorts and always they have calmed the resident or deflected them successfully so the undesirable behavior doesn't escalate. I've had personal experience with memory care facilities with great reputations in other states but they don't measure up to Mercy House. I can't believe our good fortune to have found this little gem right in our back yard.

Sodalis Senior Living in New Braunfels has been a blessing to our family. We recently transferred our family member from another facility to Sodalis; due to lack of care. The transition was flawless and the level of care that Sodalis is providing has been top notch. The staff at Sodalis truly care about all of their residents and it shows! I cant say enough good things about Sodalis and how grateful we are to know that our relative is now treated as though he is part of a real family with great love and care!

Sodalis was the answer to our prayers for our mother Iris Schumann. Diane and her staff embraced us after our mother was released from a wound care facility. Within a day, Sodalis made the necessary arrangements to get mama there. The environment is one of laughter and love and caring! The community is small and has a home feel to it. The staff was always involved with the residents! Our plan for our mother was to return to Elan after rehab but she was turn away by Elans administration. Mama lived at Elan for four and a half years and considered It her home. So glad Sodalis was there for our mama! They will be there for your loved one too!

Sodalis memory care is a lovely place. After visiting several facilities, we picked Sodalis for my moms care because the people there talk to the resident and know them well. It is comfortable with a warm, hospitable staff and atmosphere. I love visiting!
