I cannot get my meds or changes at night. I have waited for over 2 hours and the call light is turned off with I'll be right back or need to check if you are scheduled. I have COPD very serious at night.

Las Palmas Nursing home is hands down a phenomenal facility. All healthcare professionals are extremely involved in the patients care. Admissions department, nursing care , financial department, therapy care, nutrition department, activities department and custodial department are all very involved in every aspect of caring for their patients. As a healthcare professional I am extremely grateful at everything they do for their residents. I can say without question that at Las Palmas Nursing Home patients are family! The facility is clean and staff are super friendly, but please visit your family members often and ask a lot of questions. It's best not to leave your relatives alone. Keep an eye out for their well being…not to assume someone else will be looking out for their best interest.

I would like to thank the wonderful staff that took care of my grandfather. The made his last months festive and enjoyable. The staff would interact with my grandfather and they knew his likes and dislikes! He was always laughing with th and would smile when he would see them! I cant thank them enough!!!

I would like to acknowledge the nurse aides for all of their hard work. Especially in 400 and 500 hallways. They go out of their way to ensure that all of their residents are well taken care of. They will work together and help each other out without being told when one of the nurse aides needs to leave in an emergency. They have compassion not only for the residents but also for their fellow co-workers. They treat the residents as if they were their own family. It is very pleasant to see this, the facility has a very homelike environment for the residents and their families.

I am currently a resident at this facility "Las Palmas Healthcare Center" the staff is overall helpful and friendly, I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends . I enjoy the activities they have to offer ; from playing bingo to having happy hour and going on outings to movie's or restaurants.

My mother had gone to Las Palmas because of a incision infection after surgery. My mother was hesitant at first and was scared to be in a nursing home. But the kind-hearted staff that made her feel welcomed and made her laugh was priceless. She would tell me how the administrator Yvonne would walk up and down the halls, and stop bye to see how she was doing. These last moments that my mother had before her brain aneurysm just a few weeks ago meant the world to me. She was happy and well taken care of. Thank you for everything, thank you for making my mothers time there special.

My father was sent here after a short hospital stay for rehab. The care provided by the staff, nurses, therapist, and assistants was excellent. Staff was attentive and responsive to my father's needs. The therapy he received helped him get stronger and on the right path to recovery. I highly recommend this place.

I have no words to express my gratitude to all the staff from 400 Hall...Myrna, Toñita, Jessica, Jorge, Sandra, and Arvin...my overnight LVNs and everyone in general. Since day one they treated my granma like their own. I am writing this with tears in my eyes because I am forever thankful for their true love for their patient's well being. My grandma lived longer than expected thanks to their above and beyond care in the line of duty taking their oath to heart. They laughed with us, cried with us and held us thru it all. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART AS I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL TO YOU ALL? No amount of words can describe what you all mean to me and all my family....specially my granma who many times showed how happy you all made her and loved her until her last breath?

My grandmother has been here over 5 years. We have seen a lot of staff come and go but the quality of care has been good. Granted we are very involved in her care, by this I mean we have family visiting every day if not every week. They even gave guest Wi-Fi which is great when youre visiting with the kids. I myself will catch up on some work while I have her feet soaking during my make shift spa treatment 😉 the password is redblue012 Im posting just in case it gets busy and you cant find a nurse who knows it. Ive visited quite a few nursing homes and like yourself I know its a difficult decision to place a loved one in a home. However, dont get lured by some of these more modern or fancy places, the true testament isnt the grand carpets and plasma TVs its the quality of the staff. There is no doubt that these men and women whom work as CNAs and LVNs do not get paid nearly enough for what they deserve to be paid. If I had one criticism and not just for Las Palmas but any nursing home staff is for them to get paid more. I digress, if youre looking for a second home for your loved one Las Palmas is definitely a good option.
