I have now lived at Discovery Village at Castle Hills in Lewisville Texas for over two months. Discovery Village is a 55+ apartment complex for active seniors. I really didn’t know what to expect but after looking at multiple options I decided on Discovery Village and I am so glad that I did. My wife is in long term memory care so we sold our house and I don’t like cooking for myself. Even though I am very active, I feel safe here which is important to me at 76 years old. The apartment is spacious and has a nice kitchen as well which is kind of funny since I eat all my meals in the dining room. It is so nice to have truly remarkable meals ordered from a plentiful menu and each entre made to my order. I like that there is Happy Hour at 4:00 daily which includes adult beverages. Housekeeping is included weekly. They even change the linens for me. The maintenance crew helps hang pictures besides responding almost immediately to any request. All I do is call the concierge and I can get any information I need and all the services I want. The swimming pool is heated year-round and the hot tub is amazing. They even have a water aerobics class. Also included are two gyms with up-to-date equipment and a full-time free trainer. There is also in house physical therapy. It has been so nice to be able to get my Covid shots here (not mandatory). I haven’t used it but there is transportation available at no cost. There are more activities going on than I can count and a full time activities director. All of the employees are wonderful from the cleaning staff to the servers in the dining room to the management and executive director. There is no aloofness here at all, everyone is very approachable. In short, I love it here. Another 9 months have passed. Totally delighted still 5 stars

My mom lived at Discovery Village for several years and we could not have been happier. The care and concern shown by all of the staff always impressed us. From the time you enter and are greeted at the front desk you will feel welcome and safe. It is a lively place, full of people interacting with conversation and laughter. It is also bright, elegantly decorated and extremely clean. The business office is professionally managed by outstanding, trustworthy people. And the food is incredible! It was a hard decision to make. I lived in Castle Hills about two miles from what I called “The Castle.” I always knew that if the day would come and I would need a senior living home that Discovery looked so charming. Well…the day came and my family and I started to check around. Discovery was soon to be found the right fit. I would still be close to my family and friends and soon meet many more people and found peace with my decision! I was amazed by all the opportunities that I would have and now do have! People who cared and understood….

My wife Venita and I call this our home and we love our apartment and the residents and the staff is always happy to help you out if needed. Our management dose a excellent job meeting all of our needs. The food is well prepared and well worth the money and excellently served by out excellent Staff. We have lived here 6 years and looking forward to many more. Mr. Bob is the finest manger you will find any where in the Metro Plex. He goes the extra mile and will never let you down. He is truly a mans man. Our activity Director will keep you busy as you want to be. The facility meets all state safety and fire prevention meets all state Standards. The House keeping meets all of the needs you might have. All in All you will not find any other that can match what we have .

I work in the salon at discovery village and Im hear to say this is one of best senior living centers I have seen its very clean and accommodating the people that live here are extremely happy and cheerful all the time. Bob and Brooke and the rest of the staff do an amazing job keeping everyone safe and healthy they havent had one case of covid here thats truly saying something about the leadership here. Its great feeling to be able to beautify these sweet people.

I absolutely recommend moving here. We have lived here for 2 years and hope to never move. The management is superior. If I am told they will do something, it will be done. Every one in dining room and kitchen work so hard to please us. My housekeeper is awesome. We lived in another property for six years and it did not compare to the comfort we have here. We are so proud of our management and staff for working so hard to keep us all well. We are still Covid free. Everything might not be to a persons liking All the time, but if you look back it was not perfect at home either. Residents are very friendly and helpful for newcomers. No reason to feel lonely here. All in all I recommend If you want to live in a well run, clean , cozy property this is it.

Bob is outside early every morning straightening the sign, arranging flowers, picking up trash, and making sure everything is perfect. He always looks professional and is a wonderful change from the past EDs. He is always making sure things are followed up on and completed. Margaret is a ball of fire she is always running and attending to the residents and all her activities. She is very efficient and tireless. Ericka, Jason, and Amber are always pleasant and fun in the bar. The food is always delicious. I do miss the grand entrance we had before. Ive heard from Honest 1 that they sponsor other happy hours and we are much more fun and friendly. I like hearing that the place I live is thought of as fun and friendly. Ive been here before the building was Discovery Village at Castle Hills and I hope I can continue to afford it and that Discovery Village at Castle Hills will always be home.

I love this place. My Uncle John (MacLean) has recently moved into Discovery Village earlier this year and has found everything we were hoping for. I have personally joined John for a number of visits, lunches, and walks about the premises. The facilities are spotlessly clean, beautiful, comprehensive, and well appointed. The staff is amazing, attentive, friendly, and professional. John is greeted by name by virtually all the staff, wherever we go. He has also made many acquaintances with the other residents. Johns general disposition and health are improved, most likely due to the positive energy in Discovery Village. And most of all, I feel like he is safe and happy here. Thanks again. Darrell Murray

From the first time I visited, I knew that I wanted to live here. The staff was friendly and helped me to find a marvelous apartment with fun neighbors. Ive worked 40+ hours a week here for over a year and a half and absolutely love this place!! The residents and coworkers make it an amazing place to work. My coworkers and I all work together as a seemless team and make sure we do everything we can to ensure the residents wants and needs are met daily. The pay is good and they offer benefits for full time employees. My coworkers have become my family and I look forward to going into work everyday. The managers are amazing and extremely undertanding and caring. I seriously can not stress how much I love working here and Im so thankful I found this place. I would recommend anyone to come join our team. We are all very welcoming and would love to add new members to our family.

I highly recommend Discovery Village at Castle Hills! The staff is amazing! The food is delicious. The residents are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Nice sized apartments and several floor plans to choose from. Clean, well taken care of and nice decor. If you are looking for a neighborhood feel and a sense of belonging, this is the place for you.
