Orchard Park is a beautiful facility. Tina Beskow, Community Relations Director, is a wonderful and compassionate person, and it shows. She will go that extra mile to make sure your loved ones needs are met and answer all your questions, even some you didn't know you had. All staff that I came in contact were very pleasant and helpful. They also have great activities for the residents, including a BBQ! A must in Texas!

My husband and I recently made the decision to bring my 92 year old Mother-in-law from Florida to Texas to live. I visited 7 Assisted Living Centers in one week. I was give a tour by Tina and throughout the tour I became more and more impressed with her. She was the ONLY person from all 7 of the Centers that I visited that could answer every single question I had. The atmosphere is very classy, yet thoroughly homey and inviting. The layout and configuration of the building is so well thought out for elderly people, which makes it easy to navigate. The food is delicious and served as if the residents are going “out to eat” every meal. The activity calendar is amazing….there are many choices every single day to entertain and stimulate the residents’ minds. Teresa, the activity director, is such a bubbly, caring and innovating person. She truly loves her job and the community of people she is in charge of. Every single resident I have met is alert, friendly and so easy to talk to. It is obvious everyone is getting their needs met, both socially, nutritionally and cognitively. My Mother-in-law has been a resident for just a week, as of today and has already immersed herself in the programs, which we were pretty leery of, since she has been by herself with very few visitors for over two years. Tina has helped us in every single step of the way, going above and beyond with every detail of moving in and getting settled. She was made for this position and we are so thankful we found Orchard Park. We have 3 different Assisted Living Centers in our own little town, where we could have been less than a mile from, if that was our objective. Instead, we chose for her to be in a place that truly is it’s own productive interacting community. And a place where the staff knows exactly what they are doing. I would like to give special kudos to Caregivers Jay and Anna who have gone out of their way to help and assist me and my Mother-in-law with several different situations. These situations were not their particular duties or areas to work in, but they didn’t hesitate to come to our aid with a genuine caring heart and a much needed helping hand.

As a former employee of Orchard Park, I can said that this was one of the best establishments I have worked at during my career as a cook. The kitchen was immaculate and the staff surrounding me was very hard working and driven. I would recommend this job to any cook, and also highly recommend the facility to any person in need of assisted living. The menu was fun and seasonally driven. When a resident had a birthday or anniversary the kitchen would always make them feel special. And, if you are a person like me, that makes me happy too. The staff outside of the kitchen would always go above and beyond for the residents. The management there is always on top of what needs to be taken care of and will do anything to accommodate the residents. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and from the residents I got to know sounded like they enjoyed being there too. This place is a great place to work and a great place to take care of your loved ones.

My dad recently began behaving differently than Id ever seen him behave. He was verbally aggressive and extremely confused. I wasnt sure what was going on. I called Orchard Park of Kyle and spoke with Deanna. She was very kind and compassionate. She suggested we start by taking my dad to his doctor and she offered to be a resource for me. We are not ready for assisted living, but I feel like Deanna is someone I can talk to to help guide me through this journey when that time comes. I feel like she truly cares about helping my dad and our family.

Im a hospice nurse that frequently works with families with a loved one in the AL or Memory Care. Im impressed by the attitudes and tenure of the caregivers- they love their jobs and it shows. I appreciate the leadership from Michele, their DON- she works diligently to exceed standards, provide additional education to her team, and find ways to bring some fun or comfort to her residents. These guys never hesitate to reach out when they need something, Aspen has great communication with this team. I would absolutely recommend someone to move in here. Great care!

It has been such a pleasure working with the friendly and professional staff at Orchard Park. I have been impressed with the care that the residents receive from the aides, med techs and ancillary staff. Orchard Park has exceeded my expectations and more! When my dads health declined last year, I knew I couldnt provide the care my dad needed at home. As a practicing Nurse Practitioner, I did not take this decision lightly. I spent time researching communities that I felt would meet his medical needs and offer amenities and a lifestyle he was accustom too. I cant say enough about the friendly, professional staff and the daily compassionate care he receives. The communication I receive from his medical team almost daily is top notch. Thank you for making this transition seamless for our dad and our family.

The Executive Director Glen Gillum gave me a tour of the Orchard Park assisted living community. I along with my 7 siblings are looking at options for my 90 year old mother. Mr. Gillum was very knowledgeable and trusting and answered all my questions. The tour was very informative and the community was very cleaned and upgraded. My mom is really independent, but when she was to be recovering from surgery, we knew she would need more care than I could provide at home. I reached out to Orchard Park to learn more about their Respite Care. They were exactly what we needed. The staff were very caring and friendly, and Deanna answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. She walked me through the process for a seamless transition. When the time comes that mom needs assisted living full time, Im moving her to Orchard Park of Kyle. Its nice knowing they care about my mom as much as I do!

We moved my mom into Orchard Park of Kyle in November 2020, this was a difficult time due to the pandemic. The transition from one facility to another could not have gone more smoothly, all paperwork had been completed prior to this day with the executive administrator (Glen), was a good idea! During the holidays visitation was limited due to the pandemic, they were trying to keep all the residents safe and healthy. On Christmas Day everyone who wanted to visit their loved one was welcomed to visit outside on a bench-chair, the executive administrator (Glen) was making sure everyone was warm enough with blankets and a place to sit and ofcourse, social distancing with a mask on. This act of kindness was so heartwarming.All the residents at Orchard Park of Kyle always look happy, and well cared for. I could not say enough good things about everyone at OPOK!!! Id like to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to the few staff I know... Margaret(Hairstylist), Glen(Executive administrator), Michele(Nurse), Olivia Wilder(PA), Ginny(Front desk), Encompass team-PT-RN, Cook, Maintenance.

I have worked at Orchard Park of Kyle for a little over four months, and I am still blown away by something every single day. I have never worked for a management team that helps each other and builds each other up like this one. Our staff sees that and responds in kind, too. The best example of this was during the winter storm. We had several staff members and most of our management team stay here 24 hours a day for the entire week to ensure our residents were taken care of and safe. We faced many challenges that week, as did the entire state, and we worked endlessly to keep our residents at ease. We never missed a meal time, conducted hourly hydration rounds, continued our activities to keep our residents entertained, and kept smiles on our faces the whole time. Several residents commented that because we were still smiling and joyful, they were as well. Attitude reflects leadership, and that week was a testament to our amazing Executive Director, Glen Gillum. People can say they care about their residents, but here at Orchard Park of Kyle, we SHOW we care about our residents. They put smiles on our faces, joy in our hearts, and a spring in our steps. Im so glad to be a part of this amazing team and to have the honor to share each day with the residents who live here.

I was very happy with my visits to Orchard Park. It is a beautiful community, its well maintained. I met so many residents who were happy and outgoing. They told me how nice the employees are and how much they love living there. Nothing better than hearing what its like to live in an assisted living straight from the seniors who live there. Deanna and Glen were warm, caring and helpful. They spent a lot of time with me to understand what I was looking for. They introduced me to employees and I was really impressed. Im sold!

My mom is in the advanced stages of Dementia and it was time for us to put her in a memory care community. Its obviously a very hard and emotional decision for the family members to make but necessary nonetheless. From the first step of this process Orchard Park of Kyle has been truly wonderful! They understand the anxiety families go through during this time and are very compassionate. The atmosphere at Orchard Park is very pleasant and upbeat. Very loving community! They offer activities geared to the residents needs. They provide my mom with 24-7 care. A nurse practitioner comes every Monday to assess mom. They are in constant contact with us providing updates. My mom has been there now for 4 months. Due to the COVID pandemic we have not been able to visit as much but they have provided ways for us to see-communicate with her. Every time we have visited mom shes smiling, she looks very well kept, she looks happy! The staff is so loving and caring!! I cannot say that enough! They have made comments to me we love your mom!. I can see that in how my mom relates with the staff. As a daughter, that means so much!! We couldnt have asked for a better memory care community. I would highly recommend Orchard Park of Kyle!

Why I would recommend this loving community to anyone and everyone who has a love one that needs some help. I may not have any family members that are here yet but Ive been working here for over a year and love it. All the residents I am close to and get to know them on a personal level way more than my grandparents. I see them here as my own grandparents and how I treat them is how I want my own family to be treated. This community has everything that anyone would need. We can work with any allergies for food. Any medication that needs to be taken. Also any changing that is needed. We make sure that everyone is comfortable and happy. Thats why I love this job.

From moment one of entering this facility to discuss options for a lady-friend for whom I had been a caregiver, I was impressed. The staff at the front followed all current COVID-19 protocol, which assured us that safety was of utmost importance. We were greeted warmly and given as much time as was needed to make our decision. We were given a thorough tour of the facility that did not feel like the other assisted living facilities we had toured. It felt like home. Everyone we came across had a genuine smile on their face, and it made our decision easy. This is a fabulous place, and I highly recommend it. I did suggest it to a friend of mine in the same situation. They also saw the high-quality level and signed up to move their significant other into one of the units. The meals were well thought out not only for nutritional needs but also for taste. We witnessed many fun activities taking place, and all the residents were engaged. The unit was entirely ADA accessible, and safety measures were added to avoid falls. Any time we had a concern or question, the response was immediate. The most important part of this equation is that my 93-year-old friend was happy and content, said all her needs were being met and said it felt like home to her.

Spoke with Bev and I wasnt very nice to her. She responded professionally and calmly. I was actually shopping her for an agency who wants their policy on visitation during Covid and so I was trying to throw her off but she kindly persisted and only gave me the information I asked for, rules for a visit, etc. I would not give her my grandparents name or my contact information. She offered to send me the information via email to include pictures of the studio apartment and a shared apartment. These are tough times for everyone and especially those who work in senior living. She convinced me that seniors are doing ok and for the most part are happy ---happy to be in a safe home where there are people who love them and care about them. I could not get her to be negative or give me misinformation, try as I might. So Im sorry and for those of you who really need assisted living then you should check out this place first.

I'm at Westminster Towers every Sunday to have lunch with my parents & play a few games of pool with my dad. It's a shame that the pool table room isn't maintained better as there are rips & stains in the felt, pool cues have damaged tips & the general condition of the pool room is cluttered with unnecessary furniture as a kind of storage area. Westminster is a great place for my parents to live & has great health & residential facilities but it's too bad they don't seem to put as much emphasis on the upkeep of the rec area

I am a current resident living at Grand Villa of Pinellas Park for the past 3 years. It feels just like home only better because they do everything for me. All the staff and residents are friendly. All of my needs are taken care of. The activities are wonderful, I bowl, I dance, go out for breakfast and lunch, we go to the movies, which is more than I did at home. I am an ambassador for the community and I love meeting the new residents who move in. I love Grand Villa of Pinellas Park.
