I am giving Hill Country Estates three stars because while it is a nice place with great food, I called the owner today to voice some concerns. Greg Ticknor, got defensive and didn't even hear, let alone validate my concerns. I have NEVER been talked to on the phone in such a rude way! Family members should be treated with the same respect that the residents are treated. My mother is there is a relatively happy, but my concerns should have been listened too, validated and looked into. INSTEAD, he was defensive and rude. Unacceptable!

I called the owner today to express some concerns. My mother has been very happy there. The food is awesome and she's very content. However, the owner was very rude and defensive upon listening to my concerns. I have been a manager in Assisted Living and managers don't talk to their family members they way he spoke to me. He was rude, defensive and argumentative. I don't believe my concerns were heard. It's important that family members are treated with the same respect that the residents are! Unacceptable!

Weve been very pleased with Hill Country Estates. The staff has been very good. My father in-law has a little dementia. Theyve been very good in watching him and in taking good care of him. Hes been with Hill Country since July of last year. His room is large enough and comfortable. Hes got a big screen TV. It has a kitchenette and little refrigerator. The food has been excellent. They have 3 different cooks. Overall, they did an excellent job!

Hill Country is very clean and Its a really nice place to be for elders. They have different activities to keep the residents active. One thing I like is that, the staff is fully aware of the needs of the residents. The care is really individualized and personalized. They are very attentive to the patients.
