Reviews Tiffin House

If you have a loved one that needs the kind of care that Tiffin House provides, I would do everything you can to get them here. My father was in poor health and needed a lot of care and then he finally went to be with the Lord. We feel like we were so blessed to be able to have Dad in the Tiffin House because of the care and love they showed Dad the whole time...up until the time that he died. I kept waiting to have a staff person that was not caring and sweet to my dad. That staff person never showed up. The staff here are phenomenal! I believe that is a testament to the owner, Justin. He does an amazing job through hiring and his employees stay for years. That is not common in this industry as we have found out. If I could give 10 stars out of five, I would. This place is that phenomenal.

Highly recommend this assisted living facility. The staff and nurses are amazing. Very clean facility. Rooms are always clean with beautiful bedding and furniture. Lots of activities. Home cooked meals. Attention to details. I always knew my mother was in good hands. She always had a smile on her face. That gave me great peace that she was happy and content.

Tiffin House Assisted Living & Memory Care is a true gem. From the moment I walked in, I knew this was the perfect place for my mom. The caregivers here are exceptional—friendly, patient, and overflowing with compassion. They greet everyone, residents and families alike, with warm hugs and genuine smiles. What sets Tiffin House apart is their deep commitment to treating each resident not just as part of their family, but as unique individuals. They take the time to understand the personalities, likes, and dislikes of each resident, creating a personalized and nurturing environment. It's clear this isn't just a job for them; it's a heartfelt dedication to caring for others. Unlike some facilities that can feel chaotic, Tiffin House is a haven of peace and love. The atmosphere is calm and homelike, making it easy for residents to feel safe and comfortable. Both the interior and exterior are immaculately maintained, creating a welcoming environment for everyone who walks through the doors. Having explored several options before choosing Tiffin House, I can confidently say it's the best. My mom was not just happy but truly content here, and I always looked forward to visiting because of the warm reception and the delightful stories shared about her. If you're looking for a place where your loved one will be cared for like family, where kindness and compassion are at the core of everything they do, look no further than Tiffin House. I highly recommend it without hesitation.

I cannot say enough good things about the care my Mother-In-Law (MIL) and later my dad received at Tiffin House. I would give them 6 stars if I could. Justin, Tashia and the rest of the staff treated them extremely well during the last months of their lives. It is by far the cleanest facility of its kind that I have ever seen. It doesn't smell like a nursing home...probably because they keep the residents clean and changed. They keep the residents up and together during the day. They don't just let them languish in their rooms. My MIL moved in right before Covid-19 and was only there for a couple of months. However, we felt so much better during these stressful days knowing she was getting great care. My dad was the first patient to move in during the chaos that was Covid. The facility did the best job they could of keeping the residents healthy (especially prior to the vaccine) while resuming visitation in a controlled manner as quickly as they could as the situation improved. My mom even moved in for a while during Covid to be with my dad during his last days even though she didn't need that level of care. When my mom reaches the point that she needs that level of care, you better believe that I will be giving Justin a call.

My Patsy is a relatively new resident of Tiffin House II. On Memorial Day weekend, we had an early onset of "Sundowners Syndrome." Mariah took charge and soon had Patsy smiling and setting tables. Aloha followed on the next shift with more love for my Patsy. These are just two of many caregivers who excel under the leadership of Ms Tencia. Thank you so much.

TIFFIN house is a home filled with love. The staff have become our family in the couple months that our momma was there. From the moment we stepped into the house, we were all embraced. They continued to love on momma and care for her so graciously. Everyone goes above and beyond to serve and give the patients the same care they should get at home. We are beyond grateful to Tiffin house for being there for us through a precious time with our mom, Shirley. She didn't think she had a purpose, but we know she touched hearts and she was loved on by many while she was there. It was a difficult decision for us but when we met the staff, there wasn't a question in our minds. Momma loved LOVE and this was the PERFECT home for her! I couldn't recommend a better place for your family member to be in this special season. We love you guys! Thank you isn't enough!

Tiffin House is the BEST place you can place your Alzheimer's/dementia family, when you're not longer able to care for them at home. Justin and the rest of his staff are AMAZING! They've taken FANTASTIC care of my mother for 2 years now. Hook 'em!

Tiffin House is everything you hope for when it comes to having the very best care for your loved one. My Mom was able to relax in this amazing home-like environment with continuous loving attention and patient, positive support. The staff is very knowledgeable of dementia related disease so they are better able to treat each resident according to their needs as well keep the family informed. We wish we would have found Tiffin House much earlier in Mom's life but so very thankful she was able to be there during this part of her life. Words do not express the difference this amazing group of people made in my Mom's life and in ours. We were able to focus on loving her while appreciating the high quality care and support she was surrounded with. Tiffin House is an example of memory care everyone deserves during this challenging time of life. Forever grateful, thank you.

This is definitely the best place for your loved one to thrive! My mom is 97 years old and has lived at Tiffin House since January, 2023. She is very happy and healthy! She loves the homey feel and it makes her feel like she moved from her own home into another home. The staff is exceptional and they truly have a love for all the residents. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place for their loved ones!

My father is graciously and lovingly cared for at his home at Tiffin House! We've been delighted with the high level of professionalism, care, comfort, accessibility, discretion, dignity, and respect for my father, the other residents, and family members at Tiffin. My father is treated like an individual, and that is reflected in the caregivers' approach to meeting his needs. He's attended to swiftly and with kindness. There's fun activities offered, comfortable rooms, healthy and delicious meals, cooperative staff, and beautiful grounds. We love our regular visits, in addition to the holiday and birthday celebrations we share as a big "family" of residents, family members, and staff! The owner Justin Trodahl's visionary approach toward compassionate/dignified care at Tiffin is what drew us in (and kept us there). Justin even generously offers his expertise and tips about dementia to Tiffin families (and the general public) in classes. My family is thoroughly happy with the experience we've had for more than a year that my father has lived at Tiffin House! (It was well worth the waitlist to get in!)

My mother is a resident at Tiffin House. The process to move in was seamless and made the transition so easy. You feel like you're walking into your own home when you visit. The staff are like family and all the residents are treated like family. They are friendly and very responsive to any requests. More importantly, they are proactive and keep you informed. We continually hear from people in our community including physicians, dentists, medical equipment providers, pharmacists, etc. that Tiffin House is the best care facility in Williamson County. Regular physician visits along with access to dental care is a plus. There is a salon onsite which is convenient. The food is wonderful. Celebrations are a regular occurrence and everyone feels loved. The grounds are beautiful located in a picturesque rural setting. The home is extremely clean. The entire staff cares and it shows. I know my mother is well cared for and so does she.

When we knew we needed to find a place for our mom we searched hard for a place that would look and feel like home and not a sterile hospital. Tiffin House and Justin made us feel so welcome and helped with the transition for our mom and with our own hearts. This is a wonderful caring facility that not only cares about their house but the family inside of it. The "helpers" (as our mom calls them) are so wonderful with her and she feels just like she is in "a really nice house". Before we moved her in, Justin let us decorate our mom's room with items and photos from her home. When she wakes up each day or falls asleep each night she gets to see all of our families. The care gets everyday truly has her at peace now.

My Dad was fortunate to be a resident of Tiffin House for the last months of his life. He had Parkinson's Disease and needed help in doing just about anything. From the first moment I walked into Tiffin House to talk to Justin Trodahl (Owner) and Uyen Beach (Director of Nursing), it was clear that this was a true "care" facility, and distinct from any other facility I had/have ever visited. The sense of serenity that you feel when you drive up to the two Tiffin Houses, on a large wooded lot near Lake Georgetown, continues when you walk through the secure door. You are treated to a spacious, calm, tidy, comfortably-decorated, and pleasant-smelling "home", with every good connotation that word carries. Each resident is neatly dressed and groomed, and, if they are able, up and interacting with each other and the staff. Everything at Tiffin House is tailored to the needs of each resident. For my Dad, he decided when to go to bed and when to get up. When he needed to go to the bathroom, a staff member was there to help. His clothes were laundered and neatly hung in the closet or folded and placed in the dresser. Breakfasts were pretty casual, with folks coming in and out as they awakened, and lunches and dinners were more communal. As his ability to swallow waned, his diet was customized to make it easier for him. More impressive was the detailed health statistics that the staff kept on my Dad. When and which meds he took, how well he ate and drank, bathroom frequency, and any other relevant health info. I had regular meetings with Uyen for her to communicate Dad's status. I never had to wonder how he was doing. My Dad was very happy. He loved to talk and kid around, and he loved attention. The staff gave him lots of attention and love. My only regret is that we didn't find Tiffin House sooner. If there is room when my day of need arrives, I'm asking my sons to place me at Tiffin House!

I never imagined that my mom could find peace while suffering from the difficulty of living with Dementia but she has at Tiffin House. I had a referral to TH from a friend last year but with Covid I held off on moving her. TH stayed in touch with me with heartfelt concern and even some advice on Dementia throughout those months. This was a Godsend to me to be able to ask questions and get some answers. We weren't even a resident at this time. My Mom has now lived there for 7 months and is doing very well, even the transition went smoothly. This home is such a blessing to not only her but her family as well. Caregiving is a special gift to give another human being and the entire staff treats everyone with dignity and kindness. And they are knowledgeable about every aspect of the disease. The owner Justin and the entire team at TH have huge hearts of compassion! I have entrusted them with my mom's life and have never been disappointed. They have made her days brighter and have brought sweet relief for her mental anguish and tender loving care for her aging body. I am so blessed to be a part of the Tiffin House family!
August 2020
Tiffin has been a gift to my mom and our family. The physical structure of this facility is that of a home, not an institution. The beauty does not end there though. The entire staff treats the resident like family. From their effort to get to know her before she ever entered the door, to the tireless efforts in treating the difficult symptoms of Alzheimer's, they honor not only our mom, but her family as well. Our mom has her own personal space and the community spaces inside and outside provide a sense of family and the beauty of nature for her to enjoy. They care for the whole person, caring for the person, not just the disease. We did our homework before coming to Tiffin. There is no other place like it. It has been a gift to us all in a hard season. We are so thankful.

Sometimes you have the fortune of discovering or experiencing something that is simply just better than everything else. Without hesitation I can say that Tiffin House truly is superior to the alternatives in the Austin/Georgetown area for providing dementia care. One of my biggest regrets after my mother's passing last December was that we had not discovered Tiffin House sooner for her. I simply can't overstate how wonderful this place is. Prior to Tiffin, we placed my mother at a nearby facility that had a wonderful reputation, was associated with the church, and had a long waiting list. We felt fortunate that we were able to get her in there, but over time we realized the disconnect between their marketing and their operations. I just wish we knew about Tiffin House then. I won't slander the 'other' place, but I will just say to "do your homework!". If you do, you'll have a difficult time finding a facility owned and operated by people who will treat your loved one with more love, care, compassion and dignity than at Tiffin House. What I experienced there with their care for my mother was such a panacea for today's world of big-business dementia care. Their owner, Justin, and his leadership team have created a culture of care that is incredible, and can only truly be understood by experiencing it. The difference in their operation is noticeable in every small detail at Tiffin House, in both the facilities and the personnel. There is truly a Tiffin "culture of excellence" and doing the right thing ALL of the time. The caregivers care for the residents the same way they would expect their loved ones to be cared for. The nursing team is incredible, but so is every aspect of their operation, which is built around what is best for the residents, not what is easiest or cheapest for the facility and personnel -- something you won't find elsewhere. My feelings were repeatedly confirmed when speaking with external hospice personnel, doctors, and others who would always say, "Oh your mom is at Tiffin? I love that place! You are so lucky to have your mom there!" All of their awards, the longevity of their dedicated employees, the wonderful feeling of home you feel when you walk in the front door, the numerous other reviews, and so much more are all a testament to the enigma that Tiffin House is. I truly believe you will not find better than Tiffin House in central TX (and possibly beyond) for your loved one. And even though the owner is a Texas "Aggie", this Texas "Longhorn" doesn't think anyone could do better than he has done in creating the Tiffin House experience.
October 2019
Tiffin House is not a facility that takes of residents for memory care, it is a family that loves your family member and takes of them as a part of their family. I couldn't have found a better home for my mom. She was happy and called it her home. The staff their is amazing. They are so attentive and love being with residents. The owner is a gentlemen that is non stop on how to improve these house for the residents. The staff enjoys working with him and it is a wonderful atmosphere. I love the Tiffin House and most of all I love the way they took care of my mom.
