I had the opportunity to visit this property for a few days and is a wonderful place for seniors. I can only think of one other place as great and it is another Hawthorn property in Cedar Park. The managers at the Oaks , Mike and Tamye, are fantastic loving people. All you have to do is talk to the residents here to understand how great they are.

The Oaks has been a perfect home for mother to come into. The managers Tamie and Mike are amazing, Gail - marketing manager, has been a delight to work with and get to know. Debbie has amazing energy and is so perfect for her job as activity director. The staff at the oaks are hard workers and generally carry a smile with them. They genuinely care for their Oak family. Mom loves the smaller community of the Oaks, the bright halls and dining room. Consistent 3meals a day have been such a plus for her. This is one of the best selling points for her allowing her to be among others for each meal time. We're grateful.

The Oaks and its staff are always so helpful. The managers are very hands on and communicative. Everyone remembers my Grandmothers name and encourage her to get out of her room for meals and activities! They have so much to do. From movies, chair volleyball, bingo, and crafts, to a wonderful library, chapel, game room and of course FREE ICE CREAM 24/7!! There are many choices for meals and try to have something that appease everyone. After looking at over half a dozen places, I'm so glad that we decided on The Oaks!

I visited my father that lives here and I was very glad to see the place where he stays. The grounds are beautiful inside and out. The staff and community people who I was able to speak with while I visited my father were awesome. I would definitely recommend this place for retirement life to anyone who is in the area.

As I complete my first month at The Oaks, I marvel at how different and delightful it is. Advertised as Gracious, it is more than that. It anticipates and meets so many needs of elderly, but still active residents. In addition, I have yet to experience a negative contact with staff or fellow residents.

I recently went to tour this facility with and for my Uncle. I felt like this place was really incredible! My Uncle will be moving in soon but everything about it so far has been so great! I feel like my Uncle will have a better quality of life living in this facility. There are SO many different things for the community to do all while not even having to leave the community. They even have a bus that takes the community outside of the facility to do fun things. They have so much help included with the stay for the residence there. The residences get fed very well- well balanced meals and the food is actually pretty darn good there! I really hope my Uncle will be super happy here, so far its amazing!

My wife and I moved inot The Oaks because of our decreasing vision, which makes ordinary tasks more difficult. I was surprised at what a quick, easy transition it was! Within days, we knew we were home. We love the food and the atmosphere, but most of all we love the people. It is great to have managers who live on the property, and who are so obviously and consistently aware of our needs. We are at home!

My mom has been at the Oaks now for 1year. Absolutely loves it. It took many years to convince her to look into an independent living retirement home. Now she wouldn't want to be anywhere else. There are many to choose from but we know for sure we made the right choice. The care team is awesome, she loves all the interaction with the residents, has made many friends, and feels very safe. Thank you Oaks for all you do for us and caring for our mom.

We are in our second year enjoying The Oaks. Managers Mike and Tamye provide a caring family atmosphere which we fully appreciate. Assistant Managers, Skip and Barbara, are fairly new and continue to grow into their role. He is an accomplished grille master and she, a talented baker. Our daily servers and housekeepers (Katrina, April, Sylvia and Jeremiah) are quite good, attentive, generous with their time, friendly and efficient. Our weekend and evening servers are eager kids putting in the effort to learn how to be quality servers and employees. Fred is a man capable of handling many tasks including the transportation needs. Rigo is a master at solving maintenance concerns. Both are fine men dedicated to helping and caring for us. Amy is our new Activities Coordinator. She has hit the ground running, planning an array of activities for us to enjoy along with fancy celebratory events. Her first big challenge is orchestrating the upcoming Summer Carnival for residents and guests. And last, but certainly not least is creative and talented Executive Chef Rosaline and Sous Chef, Aaron. Behind the scenes kitchen staff under Rosaline's and Aaron's direction provide attractive, quality meals and snacks every day. Last year, we found ourselves at that time in our lives when keeping and maintaining a home was too much of a chore. Living at The Oaks has freed us to relax and enjoy our retirement years in comfort and a safe environment. The many amenities and activities provide a daily list of fun: cards, puzzles, Wii bowling, billiards, chair volley ball, garden plots, dominoes, bingo, computer room, crafts, walking trail, beauty salon, weekly musical performances, dances, sing alongs, wine group, yoga, sewing nook, daily movies in the theater, and more.

The Oaks has been a wonderful home for our mother. She's not ready for assisted, but not quite independent. She was very resistant to move from home, but within a few weeks she settled in and is very happy. The Oaks allows her independence, and we arranged with another company for the assistance she needs. It's so reassuring to have on site managers. They respond quickly at the push of a button, if needed. It really is a friendly, family atmosphere.

I moved into the Oaks on 12/1/20. The Managers and Assistant Managers are caring and friendly, as are all of the staff members. The common areas are clean, and beautifully decorated. The three meals provided are very good and served efficiently. During last week's TX power outages and city water contamination, the managers made sure we were safe and provided for all of our needs. I highly recommend living here.

My Mother and my Daughter-in-laws Grandmother reside at The Oaks. Mom is a charter resident she moved in the day it opened 5 years ago and has never regretted for a minute her move from an independent living facility in Round Rock, TX. Moms experience has been so good we moved my Grandmother-in-law to The Oaks a couple of years ago! Mom will be 95 next month and is very self sufficient and in a way it is due to where she lives. The staff and management (Mgrs. Dennis, Brook and Assistant Mgrs. Dave and Dana) are fantastic! The kitchen and wait staff are top notch. Avis who heads up activities and anything else that needs to be done at the moment is the best. Art the driver is phenomenal! It goes without saying we would recommend The Oaks to anyone looking for Retirement Living services!!!

As a home health clinical navigator, Ive had the opportunity to work with many of the residents and staff at The Oaks Gracious Retirement Living, to support their continuum of care. I appreciate the active involvement of the management (Dennis and Brooke) and staff in promoting safe, healthy living through exercise activities and equipment, social events, etc. Ive met many sales directors before, and Rachel goes above and beyond- she truly stands out from the rest. Rachel truly loves helping people find their forever home, and always makes herself available when a resident is in need. She makes The Oaks a very special place to be. Avis the Activities Director always has a full calendar for the residents to do fun activities and build relatioships with the other residents. She is a gold standard when it comes to resident engagement. Ive never seen an Activity Director as more versatile as Avis to accommodate all her residents. Art is the bus driver who is very warm and friendly to all the residents who want to talk to him, and safely gets residents to where they need to go. Everything about The Oaks is exceptional, and would recommend a loved one here anytime!

I would like to offer my input concerning The Oaks as my experience and observations of the facility differ from previously posted reviews. In the later part of August 2019, I moved my 86 year old mom into this facility. Unfortunately she was only able to stay just a few weeks before having to move into a nursing home due to health issues. While there I visited her nearly daily and saw how terrific the staff and management are. The new managers started about the time I moved my mom in and they did everything to make her welcome as did the staff and residents. I was able to eat with my mom and the food was quite good. The portions arent as large as most retail restrauants but considering the folks theyre feeding, large portions are not necessary. Im 68 and dont eat the portions like I did when I was younger. The meals were more than adequate for an elderly person and it should be noted, they offer as much food as the resident requests. If a resident wants 3 appetizers and 2 desserts with their meal, they will serve them happily. During my visits, I watched the residents and visited with them and only a select few had issues with the facility. The activity director was super and made every effort to get folks involved. The amenities offered there are terrific for elderly folks such that they can fulfill almost all theyre needs. The average age is 83, and one resident was an active 100 year old. I highly recommend this place and assuming it fits ones budget, its a good place to be.

The Oaks has proven to be everything we were looking for as a residence for my sister. Although Covid restrictions have prevented some of the actions that would have beentaken to welcome a new resident, the excellent staff at The Oaks have been wonderful in making my sisters transition as smooth as possible. Her quality of life has improved considerably!

I am the COO of Amada Senior Care and I have been providing caregivers at the Oaks for nearly 3 years now. Ive been very pleased with the management at the Oaks, they are so welcoming and compassionate and really care about their residents. The building is BEAUTIFUL!! On several occasions Ive been invited for lunch and the food is quite good with portion sizes that are just right. If youre looking for a place for your parents, I strongly recommend the Oaks. There is a real sense of community with the residents, it feels like a great place to call home.

My sister and I were so impressed with the level of love and caring offered at the Oaks, that we encouraged our mom to come visit from NH, and consider moving into this wonderful retirement community. After an emergency visit to a local hospital, our 89 year old mom agreed it was time to give up the big house in NH. We enjoyed shopping together and decorating her cheery, airy apartment. Mom has not moved in yet. We are blessed with spending some quality time with mom in our homes until the CoronaVirus Crisis is behind us. Although ambivalent at first, mom is now looking forward to her independence in her own space. I want to thank the entire staff for all of their encouragement and support and we look forward to a long and happy relationship with the Oaks.

So far we have attended 3 different events held at The Oaks and have been extremely impressed at every occasion with the high standard of catering provided. The facilities are of a high standard and every resident we interacted with spoke very highly of the place. I might not be ready yet for this level of accommodation but in a few years I would seriously consider The Oaks as a great place to live.

I moved my mother in nearly three weeks ago. So far, Ive been very impressed with this community. The management staff (two married couples) live on site and are very dedicated. They really seem to care about the residents. They have gone out of their way to help my 85-year-old mother adjust to her new home. The residents seem very happy living here, and are really friendly and helpful to new residents. In another review, someone commented that the food wasnt good. Frankly, Ive eaten several meals here with my mother and, while the food may not be five star, every meal has been tasty and very satisfying. If the meal servings seem small, compared to your average hefty restaurant servings, or bland to some, remember that they are cooking for senior citizens who dont require mega meals and dont need leftovers, since every meal is provided; and many seniors dont handle a lot of spices , seasonings very well. If someone does want seconds or additional food, they can always order something else off the menu. I am confident that my mother is safe and looked out for at The Oaks.
