Not a bad place to work, but until you guys offer the staff either 8 or 12 hours shifts, you will continue to always need help. I mean, to be honest, I don't care to work 12 or 16 unless it's necessary, and it is not interfering with my family.

I can't recommend Bader House enough. The staff are very caring and clearly love what they do which certainly carries over to the residents. This is without a doubt the best memory care facility in Georgetown!!!

I do not have a family member here, as yet. I have been collecting info and weighing my choices. That said, I toured 3 of the 4 Memory Care facilities and spoke with Management at each. I cannot say enough about the persons with whom I interacted at each. They all were kind, attentive, patient and gave great information to questions, even those I did not know to ask! As far as the community though, I was most impressed with the members at The Reserve at Georgetown. There were persons of varying levels of dementia out in the living room interacting with staff and each other and participating. They were not parked in recliners in front of a tv. I realize that some of the 1 star reviews below were left awhile ago, and am sorry that they had a bad experience, but I experienced-saw none of those issues at my visit. This was the top choice as far as quality of care that I saw.

Our sweet mother was cared for by The Reserve for many years and we are so grateful for the compassionate care she received. The number of staff that it takes to meet the needs of residents is considerable and we were delighted at the warm relationships built from the personnel at this facility with our mother. I have memories of a variety of staff members across the building helping her with a need, providing a hug or a smile, showing kindness and love, respecting her personal preferences, understanding her facial expressions or loss of words, letting her visit their work space, painting her fingernails, providing her with snacks, keeping her hands busy, helping her with movement issues, etc. The friendly staff was a huge reason our mother was content. The community atmosphere at The Reserve, with other residents around her dealing with similar issues, also helped our mother not feel so alone in the progression of dementia. She developed friendships with other residents and was able to spend time with others in a safe and caring place that met her daily needs. Our mom especially enjoyed music at The Reserve whether it was special musical presentations and guests or music playing in the living areas. She appreciated the coffee table books on a variety of subjects with lots of pictures, and the pillows on the furniture. Our mother loved looking at the outdoor spaces or walking around the courtyards. She was comforted by holding baby dolls and feeling useful. She was blessed by friendly staff to watchcare over her, a beautiful space to live, other residents to do life with, and fun activities and entertainment to give meaning to the days of her life. We are grateful for The Reserve and the respect and value they expressed in the care of our mom.

My family loves that my Mom is here and is receiving the care she needs. Everyone has been so caring and loving towards her. They have taken careful steps to allow families to visit in person which has been awesome for us and my Mom. Thank you to everyone here for taking care of and loving her.
