My parents moved to the independent living side of The Delaney in 2018. My dad passed away in 2020, and my mom continued living independently there until recently, when she transitioned first to assisted living and then to memory care. Throughout each stage, the staff at The Delaney took excellent care of my mom. She was at the highest level of care in assisted living, and shortly after moving to memory care, she needed hospice care. The Delaney staff who cared for her along with the hospice staff during her final week were more than caring”they made sure her needs were met while treating her with compassion, dignity, and respect. I especially want to recognize Bobbie, the med tech, who gently stroked my mom’s hair after administering her medication, and Charles, who took the utmost care when assisting Mom. Those thoughtful gestures meant so much to our family. We also recently held my mom’s memorial service at The Delaney, and one of the staff members, Rob Sterk, provided a Christian service for our family. That was truly a step above and beyond, and it meant so much to us. We wanted a place where our parents could age in place, and that is exactly what The Delaney provided. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in a safe environment with engaging activities and caring support. We are grateful for the care, kindness, and respect shown to our family.

My mom has been in memory care at The Delaney for about a month, and I am so thankful she is there. The program director, nurses, and the caregivers, basically everyone I’ve met, are exemplary. My mom looked at her caregivers Danielle and Lola and said, I give you an A+. Mom never says things like that. My mom is well taken care of, and I feel 100% confident and secure when I leave because I know my mom will be treated well and is in the best place there is to be.

I am a healthcare provider, however I have many friends who have found the Delaney for mom and dad. I visit often. The Delaney is an exceptional, senior living community. The minute you walk through the door you feel the warmth and kindness of the Staff. I have thought many times how welcome I feel when I walk in, not only by the staff, but by the residence, there are true friendships made here. The many activities encourage the community to meet and know their neighbors. Number one in my book is safety. The Delany is tops!! The professional medical options and healthcare services are right there in house. Care plan meetings help add personal attention for everyone’s needs and wants. One of the things I appreciate most is the continuum of care offered, this allowing seniors to age in place with confidence. Residence can remain in a familiar environment and as their needs change, they have the support to help them make that transition; what a huge relief for their family. I have the privilege of entertaining at The Delaney and I've been extremely impressed with the staff and environment there. The residents are full of fun and exude a "joyous" feeling. The place itself is beautiful, but I particularly love the interaction the staff has with the residents. They're fun and willing, frequently dancing with residents during our show and engaging with everyone. The dining staff goes out of its way to be sure the table is set the way that group wants it. And Liz, the Engagement Director, is constantly finding new ways to entertain her troops. This seems to me to be a "happy place" - just the place I'd like to go when I'm ready!

The Armadillo Swing Band has been, and still is, a premium musical entertainment provider to The Delaney in Georgetown since 2015. The Delaney was one of our first customers and remains a preferred venue for the band. The staff is friendly and willing to assist in any way to make setting up for the show as easy as possible. I had a wonderful experience recently at the Delaney in Georgetown. I visited and provided music to the residents in the Memory Center. The residents were delightful and were very engaging and seemed to be having a great time. The facility is in a beautiful location, and was clean, spotless and very organized. The Delaney is a wonderful place to live for people who can’t or no longer want to live alone in their homes. We’re moving my mother in-law to The Delaney within the next couple of months. When she came back from visiting, she said, I don’t need to look anywhere else. It’s perfect, and signed a contract to move within a week. She was so pleased with the welcoming atmosphere at the Delaney and met friendly and happy people wherever she went. She loved the food (it is delicious) and was happy she would be still be able to garden, get her hair cut at the salon, and access any service that she needs. Jennifer was wonderful during the sales process and made my mother in-law feel personally seen and welcomed. I highly recommend.

We placed our parents in The Delaney in Georgetown two months ago, and we couldn’t be happier with the care they are receiving. This memory care community has exceeded our expectations in every way. The leadership and staff are truly outstanding. Shannan, the Memory Care Director, sets such a positive and professional tone for the entire unit. Her leadership is clearly felt in the compassionate atmosphere. Amanda, Director of Health Services, has been wonderful ” attentive, knowledgeable, and always responsive to our questions and concerns. From the moment we walked in The Delaney we were greeted with smiles. The grounds are beautifully manicured, and the entire community felt bright, clean, and airy. The Delaney Memory Care provided my husband a warm, caring and professional staff as well as stimulating activities and visiting musical performers. And I have to say again, how much I appreciate the way the staff cared for him and interacted with him. The space has large windows to let in the sunlight and an atrium right off the common area where the residents can enjoy the outdoors in a lovely setting. And my husband really enjoyed the food, always with the option of choosing between two meals. I’m so glad we chose The Delaney for my husband.

I’ve moved my husband into The Delaney at Georgetown Village memory care. I had many concerns about how my husband would transition into a facility environment. Shannan the director did a great job from day one of coming up and executing a move in plan. Much to my surprise it was seamless and my husband was involved in activities immediately. The rest of the team made him feel welcomed and comfortable. Day 7 my husband told me how nice everyone was. The nurses Amanda and Kimberlie were very helpful throughout this process and Kelly in sales had great follow up and was so kind. Moving your loved into memory care is a very stressful process and this team made it much easier which I will always be grateful for.

My 89 yr old mother has been at The Delaney for 2 yrs. I don’t have enough superlatives to describe how pleased our family has been with all aspects of The Delaney. It starts at the top - Bryan is doing something right by attracting such an outstanding team. My mother suffers from dementia, and her condition has been deteriorating more rapidly over the past few months. Caregivers like me don’t know what they don’t know. How does one provide care in situations like this. What does the future hold. Amanda and Kimberlie have been such a wonderful resource - navigating hospice and a transition to Memory Care. They represent the perfect balance of knowledge and compassion. Just so professional. Working now with Shannon now in Memory Care is more of the same. Everyone with whom we interact - Nursing, MedTechs, CareGivers, facilities - has such on outstanding attitude. I could never do their job and me and my family are so pleased they are there. We were looking for a nice place for my Mom. With the thoughtful and informative assistance of Jennifer, my husband and I toured The Delaney in November 2025 and were nothing less than impressed. In December 2025, Margo assisted with a second tour with my Mom so she could see. In January 2026, we moved my Mom to Independent Living at The Delaney and haven't looked back. I can't tell you how many times my Mom tells me how wonderful everyone is - helpful, friendly, informative - no matter if they are in the kitchen, waiting tables, housekeeping, front desk, management, or the social service end (thank you Mary Faith). The community is well managed and maintained with really nice amenities. And the social and physical activities offered allow my Mom a variety of reasons to get out of her apartment!

I hope my review helps guide you in finding the very best memory care / senior living home for your loved one. After 2 long weeks of touring multiple memory care locations in the Georgetown and the surrounding area, we chose the Delaney and here’s why. First, my high school classmate from 1987 actually worked for The Delaney for 8 years so I had some good inside information as to why it’s ranked as the best facility in the area. She ended up putting own her mom there so that in itself gave me even more confidence in what can be one of the hardest decisions you will make in your life. Our parents raised us and took care of us the best they could so now it was my time to give back and find my mom the best place to now call home. It is a very clean place and homey environment atmosphere. So the results are in; after 2 months and 14 days. I absolutely made the right decision for my mom. Shannan the memory care director has a wonderful dedicated loving team who will be completely focused and care for your loved one in every way possible. Shannan is just one call away from allowing me to check on my mom when I’m out of town. She’s has even taken my calls on her day off. This is an example of the high level of service and response the Delaney gives their residents and the families. They make her bed everyday, they help her shower, they help her in the bathroom and even the cleaning staff (Tiffany) who keeps the place extremely clean loves and cares for my mom. They have med techs whose sole purpose is to administer medications on time, every time. They have nurses on site 24 hours a day and I’m one text away from requesting anything my mom may need or want. They are also a class B facility which is very important to know. Just so many care givers dedicated to your loved ones needs. It’s always enjoyable to visit my mom and take her to lunch or dinner in the many dining rooms they have. The food is amazing and they have 2 executive chef’s preparing some really great dishes. I would also point out that I have met the director of maintenance which is responsible for keeping the place so clean and everything working and they do a fine job. They even have a wonderful activity director coordinating environment and fun for the residents. Go visit the Delaney and ask to meet the directors and you will understand how they have earned my perfect review. Remember, you are doing what you have to do in a tough situation and knowing your loved one is safe and cared for so well will bring you comfort and peace of mind. Well, where do I start about the Delaney? Mom didn't begin her independent living journey at the Delaney, but I sure wish she had. She absolutely loves it there. The activities are amazing and the staff is very welcoming and loving. Mom says living at the Delaney is living being on a cruise but without the water. If you have a loved one that needs more attention than they can get living at home, consider the Delaney. Mom spent many years as an activities director, in management staff, and consultant for facilities like this. She did her homework before we moved her to the Delaney. If you are considering an independent or assisted living home for a loved one, please visit the Delaney. While you are there, ask for Geri, she will tell you how things are there. My husband has been a resident at The Delaney at Georgetown Village, Georgetown Texas for two and a half years. When the time came to find an Assisted Living facility that would meet my husband’s every need; from the friendly concierge’s, the executive staff, the nursing care, the server’s in the dining room, the activity directors, to the caregivers, this is the place that provides all those needs. When you walk in the doors of this immaculately clean facility you feel the love and caring attitude from everyone, even the residents. They truly are the reflection of The Delaney. No wander my husband calls this facility home’. That is the true word that describes The Delaney at Georgetown. Our families experience with the staff at the Delaney in particular the Assist Living has been excellent. Everyone from our initial meeting and tour with Kelly to the operations manager helping my father in law replace batteries in his remote to the continued patience that Amanda head of nursing shows on a daily basis with the ups and downs of elderly care. Everyone is willing to pitch in and help where they are needed. And if an issue does arise between the staff and my in laws they all sit down together and respectfully find a solution. I highly recommend the Delaney to families looking for a new home for their family members

I left a 5 star review 4-5 years ago; Dad had a great apartment in independent living and they took very good care of him including meals, light cleaning and social activities. Unfortunately, Dad declined and we had to move him from independent living to memory care - where he now has a room and they still take great care of him in a more intense way. The staff when I visited was engaged with the residents giving them the best life they can. I hope you never have to have your parents move into a retirement community. However, if they need the support - I would highly recommend the Delaney for care from independent living to memory care. All under one roof

When I walked into The Delaney, I found it to be very bright and open with quite a few residents in the main area. This was a good sign! Rob at the front desk greeted me with a smile and began asking me questions as I waited for my visit. I was taken to the dining room for lunch where I noticed several kind staff members waiting on the residents while others were busy tidying up. My panini was delicious! As we walked the hallways where the residents apartments were, I appreciated the fact that the halls were wide and very well lit. Everything looked fresh! Probably one of the most important aspects of the Delaney is that as my mom’s needs change, the Delaney changes with her. They have a full continuum of care which means I don’t have to keep moving her! Thank you to Jennifer Slayton for the time she took with me, answering my questions and making the experience at The Delaney most enjoyable!

Five stars and highly recommended. Margo was fantastic working with our family as we made a difficult decision to transition our parents to independent and dependent living. She was patient and so helpful with all of the questions we had about the facilty and levels of care. The team welcomed our parents with such love as the rolled out the red carpet for their arrival. Now 9 months living there we feel like family when we visit and enjoy meals with the family. The facilty has many amenities for an active day from games, live music and social events. The building is well cared for with modern, fresh finishes and well appointed grounds. You will not be disappointed with a decision to call this facilty your new home! ’•

My elderly in-laws are more than well-cared-for at The Delaney. In their 90s, they recently moved here from Oklahoma, and could not have moved into a better place. Staff are super friendly, and other residents are accepting and welcoming. I've joined them for lunch--and the food and the wait-staff are superb, which is fantastic! Their 'apartment' is roomy, clean, and well-tended. The Delaney is a state-of-the-art facility!

Our Father was in the Memory Care Unit for 2 12 years at the Delaney. The staff and nurses were very nice to him, and helped him if needed. Our Father like to kid around a lot and the staff always enjoyed him. The staff and nurses were always quick to call and let us know if if our Father was sick or was in need of something. His room was cleaned and the laundry was taken care of. From the Director to the cleaning crew of the Delaney, the time that our Father was there, we were at ease because we knew he was being taken care of. Incredibly grateful for our experience with the team at The Delaney! This was a new world for our family and the staff was so helpful in helping us set mom up for success and make sure her needs were always put first. We are still in the research stage but I cannot say enough about Kelly and her team. Incredibly responsive. Kind. Forthcoming with all information. I’ve asked question after question and I never feel like I’m driving her crazy. She even sent my mom a little goodie. I am sure the TLC will continue once my mom is there. We were making the difficult decision to move my mother from Louisiana to be close to us and we were beyond impressed with The Delaney. From the moment we walked in the front door, we could not imagine a better place for our mother. The staff (Jennifer Slayton, Director of Sales, Kelly Trevino, Residency Counselor, and Mary Faith Sterk, Health & Wellness Navigator) were beyond helpful, patient, and took the time to answer any questions we had. What also stood out to us during all four of our visits was how happy the residents were, which said a lot!

The Delaney is such a wonderful place. I visit there every other month assisting the residents with there hearing aids. Every time I arrive I am greeted by the friendly helpful staff. The community is so clean and updated It’s so refreshing to see seniors being so well taken care of and enjoying there life.

My mother-in-law was hesitant at first about the idea of Assisted Living. My husband and I did a lot of research on various communities, and kept coming back to The Delaney. The friendliness of the staff and residents resonated with us, as well as the cleanliness, good food, and available services. Jen Slayton, Director of Sales and Marketing, gave us our first tour (and pretty sure multiple ones after that) and answered my approximately 7,476 questions, always with a smile and never made me feel like a bother. We received a call from Executive Director Bryan Merrell while we were researching, offering his assistance with any questions we might have, and he stopped by on move-in day (on a Saturday!) to introduce himself. Independent Living was the best choice for my MIL, but they still check in on her every morning, she has all of her meals supplied and housekeeping every two weeks; spacious apartment with full kitchen and washer/dryer, plus a balcony where she can enjoy her beloved rocking chairs and watch the birds. The on-site PA and other medical staff are a huge plus, as well as the salon. She has only been there a couple of months, but so far she is so happy with her move and is adjusting well, thanks in part to what I call her "Welcome Wagon Ladies," residents who welcomed her and asked her to eat dinner with them, and now they are all friends. Overall, great experience for her and for us. If you're considering The Delaney at Georgetown Village, rest assured it's a welcoming and caring community.

Mom needs Assisted Living after Dad passed away. We visited several places in Georgetown and really liked the Delaney, the way it is laid out, and the staff. After looking at the rooms and the amenities, we had a round table discussion with the staff, including the chef, and felt mom would be very comfortable here. We were able to go into the room two days early to get it all set up for when mom. We take her there this morning, she will be greeted and welcomed by the staff and assistants. I'll update in a week to two after she gets comfortable and I get her feedback.

When I walked into the Independent Living door I was greeted with smiling, courteous staff who immediately made me feel comfortable and welcome. I was interested in possibly moving into this community and I spent time with Jennifer who answered my long list of questions with patience and without hesitation. I was never rushed or pressured in any way but was given a tour of the beautiful home and the opportunity to speak with other staff members we encountered along the way. Jennifer was knowledgeable and professional but warm and so receptive to my needs. To my surprise, I was also introduced to the Executive Director, who offered to answer any questions. I was impressed at how clean everything was and the menu far exceeded my expectations. I was given a calendar of activities and it was filled with fun and opportunity for enrichment. I was happy that I was also greeted by residents who recognized me as "new" and made me feel welcome. I have decided to make The Delaney my home after my visit and I look forward to enjoying the many benefits of Independent Living.

A friend moved into The Delaney recently. Our group that she belongs to wanted to take her out to lunch. She insisted on us eating at her dining room at The Delaney; she bragged that the food was great. I phoned Chef Nick several times to make arrangements for the 6 of us. He was very accommodating and professional. We were able to order from the amazingly extensive menu. Our servers, Rayna and Kareem, were so cheerful and attentive. The dining room was light-filled and spacious. Everyone agreed that the food was delicious. We were so glad that we were able to enjoy time with our friend in such lovely surroundings. We could not have asked for a better meal at a upscale restaurant! It was a great experience!
