The Waterford has been such a good place for my father to live. They do so many good activities for older adults throughout the day with multiple options per day. The food and facility as a whole is also great. Very thankful for the staff and leadership!

My wife and I contracted to move in here November 1, 2025. We were given a discounted rent fee for the first month. Could we move in? On, no, we’re still working on the apartment you contracted for! We finally got to move in November 21 (that’s three (3!) weeks later. Subsequent discussions about a rent adjustment for November have not been productive. Our apartment has two bathrooms - one with a walk- in shower, one with a tub/shower combination. My wife has balance problems, so stepping over a tub, particularly one with no grab-bars, is basically not good. The walk-in shower would be great, except the shower control valve WOULDN’T ALLOW FOR ANY HOT WATER TO APPEAR. Great, if you like cold showers, but, alas, my wife is old-school, and insists on hot showers! We managed to get that corrected - in January! Then last week, we had a winter storm single digit temps, ice/snow covering all outdoor surfaces. Our heating system went out. We were temporarily relocated to a guest-suite apartment, with heat. Three nights later, the heat was repaired (that was yesterday). Imagine my excitement when the heat was off this morning when I got up! I reported this to management immediately, and when they arrived in my apartment, confirmed that yes, the heat was not functioning! A call was placed to the air-conditioning people, and apparently, I will receive a manual for the thermostat sometime later today, although the thermostat seems to have no effect whatsoever on the temperature of the air being pumped into my apartment. I freely admit that my patience has expired. On the other hand, the food here is very good.

Host and staff were excellent. Price was appropiate. Mattress on bed could be replaced and stocked bathroom with toilet paper would be helpful. They take great care of my father in law.

The front desk, and dining room staff are awesome. The so-called chef leaves a lot to be desired . He plans meals with chips and sandwiches A LOT (dinner meals), and doesn't have a clue what a real goulash is composed of. You need a new chef.

I toured Waterford while looking for a place for my mom to live. Cathy was absolutely amazing. She goes the extra mile for those who are looking and for the new tenants moving in. I would recommend Waterford to anyone who is looking for a place for their aging parent(s). I know my mom would be well taken care of if she decides to move here.

My previously pleasant living and naps are disturbed by permitted personal electric amplified music from the back porch. The music by a resident continues despite regular complaints to the administration. (My apartment is the furthest from the porch and on the third floor.)

The Waterford has been wonderful to us in the care of an aging parent. This was our first experience with such a facility. From the first visit when we were looking at many options, Waterford was a perfect fit. The feel is friendly, relaxed, and unpretentious. The food made me want to move in. It’s been a huge relief to us to find such a place. The staff does an amazing job.

Seems like a nice assisted living place. They just don’t make sure the elderly have appointments. So a vet said he had an appointment at the VA. But he didn’t so he was there all day.

I was just visiting a resident who lives here, so being my review off of my short visits. There was no one at the front desk when I walked in, i signed in but really anyone off the street could walk into this place if they wanted. The inside seemed a bit run down to me. Also I didn't eat but the food didn't look appetizing and the residents I sat with complained about the quality of it. The employees working in the dining area weren't rude but they also weren't the friendliest bunch. Some of them seemed kind of short with the residents.

It seems like a lovely place, the staff I met were quite kind and helpful. She knew her resident by name and was extremely helpful when we were leaving for the night. The apartments looked really good too. The back patio could have been a smidge larger but honestly it was fine. All in all it was a good trip too see a great friend and we'll be doing it again soon, so see ya there!

Paula and Lori are amazing!!!! Paula was helping me with a studio apartment & helped get Hospice involved to help meet my mom's need. My mom's health deterated to where she needed 24 hour medical care and could no longer live alone. Paula helped answer my questions and got Lori involved. Both were so helpful in guiding us in the right direction and were honest on if their location was the right fit for my mom. They could have easily stirred me in the wrong direction but they didn't. They are amazing human beings and my family will never forget their kindness!!! I definitely recommend the facility and my mom would have been there if her health had not deterated so drastically. Thank you Paula and Lori!!!!

My wife and I met with Cathy Porter today. We are looking for a senior living home and doing due diligence. We have visited a number of communities at this point. Even if we don’t end up there I wanted to acknowledge Cathy Porter for the excellent tour today. She did a wonderful job in answering every question we had. Professional and yet down to earth we enjoyed our time with her.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour at the Waterford in Fort Worth, TX. The manager, Kathy, was so friendly and personable and made us feel right at home. We were sorry to have to tell Kathy we had decided we just weren’t ready for the services they offered. Maybe in a few more years. We do want Kathy to know how much we enjoyed doing the tour with her.

Let me just start by talking about Cathy Porter and the staff at the Waterford... I was in the market looking to live in one of their communities and Waterford caught my eye from the very beginning. Cathy went out of her way to make me fill important! I was thoroughly impressed with the staff that I met during my virtual tour as well as Cathy showing me each and every little nook and cranny that I asked to look at. It was a pleasurable experience to say the least. The style and color schemes worked well and makes you feel like your at home. I ended up going with one of her sister properties in The Wellington. The main reason that I chose here over The Waterford, was that I ended up being less than a quarter mile from my daughter and grandson. So there was pretty much no decision to make except for the Wellington. I will never forget the professionalism and personality of Cathy and the staff at Waterford. I have met a friend in Cathy, and she is saved in my contacts list forever. So if you’re a senior and looking for a place to independently live with the great staff on that side of town, then I would implore you to at least take a good long look at the Waterford. This may be the longest review I’ve ever left, but I wouldn’t change your word. Steveo

My Mother was a resident there for four years,and she had lived at four other retirement homes before we found the Waterford. The people who worked there were so sweet,the food and staff in there restrant was very good. The one person who really stood out her name is Anita , she will always make you feel like your family and like you are her most special resident. She is a sweetheart, and my Mother really loved her allot. She checked on my Mother to see if she was allright all the time,I would say that if it was not for her a few times,she could have been in reel trouble, she called the ambulance for her if she need it.

The Waterford is a very friendly community of people. Over the years I have depended on their friendly staff (Anita, Henry, Dana, Lisa, and Cathy have been especially helpful), and their beautiful building that has lots of space for residents to gather, and many ways in which residents can lead events and be active. Nurses, therapists, dog groomers and more make house calls, there's a barbershop and seniorhelpers available. It has everything you are looking for.

I enjoy my time at the Waterford very much. There are plenty activities so everyone can enjoy whatever part of them they want. The staff is also very good. There are a couple of the staff that I think are truly great. The first one I want to recognize is the lady who runs the front desk during the week. Her name is Lisa and she always has a smile and will do all she can to help you with anything you might need. The second I want to single out is Henry who is in charge of the dining room. He keeps the dining room functioning to provide the best dining experience possible for each individual person's needs and wishes.

The Waterford is a very nice place. And, we were about to move my mom in, however this is the time everything went into lockdown and moving from one community to another was not possible. This occurred around mid March. We paid a deposit and community fee we have yet to receive a refund of these monies. Capital Senior Living will not return calls. A very frustrating situation. As most seniors, my mom is on a fixed income and needs these monies refunded.
