Best bang for the buck! Staff was attentive to Mom's needs. Unfortunately she passed very quickly, as she was already in the process of dying. I'm so grateful, however, that she received the care that she so desperately needed. Everyone from head to toe was so nice with our family in making sure she got the best care possible given her condition. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone! Peace of mind is everything when loved ones are turned over to elderly care - mission accomplished!!!

There are various places that I researched while trying to find housing for my brother. I'll admit there were not that many senior communities with available housing, but with the help from 'A Place for Mom' I was able to narrow my search,and that was a tremendous help in finding a place that would be acceptable and Truewood had the best community for my brother. We live about 5 hours away, so it was a family road trip to Fort Worth to visit and see Truewood for ourselves before making any decision. We came to the exit to the street that leads to Truewood, and cruised through the neighborhoods that were full of trees, beautiful buildings and homes. When I (we) arrived at Truewood I could see that it too was surrounded with trees. There are several buildings all numbered, which later we learned are assigned to meet specific needs of residence, based on what their needs are. It is a lovely place, plenty of outdoor walking area including a walk with the view of the river should you choose to go that way. Let's say there is more grass and trees than there is parking lot and pavement. Mirka Hostasa, is the Community Relations Director at Truewood and she took time to sit and talk with us, answered our questions and took us on a brief tour,which included the apartment my brother would be moving into, if we decided to do so. Dealing with all that comes with moving is one thing, it is however a bit overwhelming when you are deciding for another person, like I was for my brother. Mirka was very reassuring when it came to our concerns,always with a smile. She helped me communicate with my brother during the time he was waiting for his telephone to be installed and activated. That was a relief to say the least. My conclusion is this. Great Place and Area to live; You or your loved one will be taken care of and treated fairly; Mirka is one of the most kind and caring people you will meet and she is there for the residents and their families. Truewood is lucky to have Mirka working for them and representing the community in such a positive way. While my brother hasn't been there for a long period of time, the overall joy and contentment that I hear in his voice when I talk to him, pretty much sums it up to being the best decision we could have made.

I have been accused of being a helicopter Mom. So when it came to finding a place for my Mom, I was buzzing all around Truewood Fort Worth. My mom lived with us for about 3.5 years and she was getting bored and lonely. I was reluctant to have her away because I had been looking after her. But she is SO very very happy. Her mental and physical health has significantly improved because of all the fellowship, activities and community. Now when I bring her home she asks when I am taking her back because she misses her friends. It is a wonderful facility and community. I am so very grateful to have my Mom there so close to our home. I can stop in and check on her frequently. We much preferred Truewood Fort Worth because my Mom enjoys the outdoors. The facility is large with huge mature trees and sits along the Trinity River and bike path across from City View. In addition to attending lots of interesting activities in various buildings, Mom loves walking the loop uaround the campus, along the River trail and on the sidewalks along the road in front of the facility. (Many other communities we visited were located on very busy streets with minimal outdoor spaces.) The neighborhood is beautiful and scenic. It feels like I took my Mom to camp or college rather than a place to park older people. It is a very good fit for her. They are a fabulous operation under new management. Each time I visit there are constant improvements and enhancements. The staff and residents are extraordinarily welcoming and friendly. It has been a blessing for our family.

We moved my dad here so that he could be closer to me. It is so convenient. The facility is clean and they do a great job maintaining the grounds and facility. It doesn’t smell which was a huge thing for me. My dad was a blue collar worker all of his life and didn’t have a huge budget for monthly care. I called so many places that were $3500 and more for their minimum packages. We just couldn’t afford that. We were able to find a great apartment with a patio. They replaced his carpet with laminated wood flooring prior to move in. They communicated really well with us and still do. It took him so time to adjust, and the guilt on my part took some time to adjust to. After about 2-3 months, he has started to adjust and goes to his workout classes and eats his meals with his buddies. The staff is so sweet and helpful. He loves the nurses and chats with them frequently. I think the most imprinting thing is to advocate for your loved one. If you don’t like something, speak up. Make noise. Be present. I think my dad is doing very well here and we love his new home at Truewood

Beautiful accommodations and the staff is amazing. Mirka, the Community Relations Director, was truly wonderful to work with. She gave us a tour of the accommodations and was delightful. In addition, Javia, the General Manager, was awesome to work with. She walked me through the paperwork and made it so easy. I highly recommend this community for assisted living.

I came to work here as the Health Services Director 2 months ago. This community has SO many WONDERFUL things about it, but the top of that list is that the employees really care about the residents. I am impressed by them daily.

My wife and I moved here in June 2019. We are more impressed now that we have got settled in. The staff works very hard to meet your needs. The food is excellent. The best part of living here is the residents, all are very friendly and very easy to get aquanted with. We are so happy to be living here, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Ive enjoyed working here, like any job some days are better than others. Working at the Courtyards, Ive gained so much information on how to become a better employee and person. The position I had there allowed me to always want to better myself, by the way I cared for the residents, and by the way I communicated with staff. Its unfortunate I had to go, it still shocks me today. The supervisors have been supportive from the moment I got there, especially with me being the only male. I could only wish people could enjoy my experience there or even a better one. Even saying goodbye was a difficult step to make. Thanks.

The staff at the Courtyards is excellent, the care is highly skilled, compassionate and competent, the food is very good, the management is professional and does a great job. I have nothing but the highest praise for the care my father received here, and I will always be grateful he was able to spend his last days here , surrounded by people who cared so much and did so much for him and for me! Our family was richly blessed!

When you drive in it looks like a park, manicured and clean. Moved my mom here a few months back. Have been so pleased with the service, everyone is friendly and helpful. They take your calls and so far have done everything asked. I have had breakfast and lunch with my mom while visiting, the food was very good and seem to have a great menu to choose from.

I am planning on moving in very soon I love the large apts with the large closets. I had lunch with Jay Brown he is.a great & the food was excellent. The ground around the apt are beautiful with all the trees & srubs. I hope to be moved in by Sept 1 If everything falls intoplace. Thank, Rickey Allen
