My experience is that mom is being taken care of very well. I commend the leadership of Legends for following through on the assertions they stated when my mom first entered into her new home. My mother-in-law lived here for 5 years before she passed last year. She moved from another place in the area where she was declining and my husband didn’t want to move her, but when they started losing staff left and right, he had to do it. We moved her to Legend and she instantly began to thrive. Their staff today, is the same staff that was there when we first toured. They embraced our family as if we were their own. That is why, to this day, we continue to volunteer. We love being a part of their family. They are the best!

The staff were so nice , the place was Clean. The community is beautifully maintained, with clean and spacious and vibrant common areas, a beautiful courtyard, and quite spacious and comfortable apartments. The caregivers are attentive, compassionate, and professional. They’ve really gotten to know my mom and have provided her with personalized care. My mom has been happier and more active since moving in, participating in a variety of engaging activities and social events. The dining options are excellent, offering nutritious and delicious meals that offer options that cater to her diabetic dietary requirements. Their nursing staff is also top-notch, ensuring that residents’ health needs are promptly and effectively addressed. Overall, Legend of Ft. Worth has exceeded our expectations in every way. The peace of mind we have knowing my mom is in such capable and caring hands is invaluable. It’s like night and day when I think about the other community we moved her from. This place is an amazing place! I go to many different Assisted Livings and this one is by far one of the best, especially the Memory Care Unit. The staff keep the residents engaged thur out the day, which is so important for people with dementia. They do Karoke, trivia, Bible study, crafts, and so much more! The staff there really love the residents and it shows. It is so hard choosing the right place for your loved ones so I hope this helps anyone looking for that perfect place!

My wife and I being in our upper 80’s, began looking for an assisted living facility that would be closer to our family for when we needed help and more so, just to be close to our family. We were living in the San Antonio area and were a four hour drive from our daughter and her family. We visited a number of facilities from the Waco area, Clifton, Whitney, Weatherford, Aisle, Saginaw and Fort Worth. We noticed all the facilities were clean neat maintained and basically all the same amenities. After all the research we had done we settled on the Legend in Fort Worth. We still weren’t sure of what we were doing because we had never done it before. But we made our choice. Coordinated with the facility to pick the floor plan and moved in. What we learned is that all the facilities are basically the same. The real difference starts with the top management that supports it, the department heads with their employees, the care personnel and the people that live in the facility. In the middle of the second week that we lived here, I noticed every time I walked past somebody who worked in the facility, they spoke in a friendly voice and called me by my first name. It worried me because I wasn’t sure if that was good or bad or even what I may have done. I found that it was part of the employee protocol to get to know and call you by name. That little bit of information made it very clear that it’s not the facility it’s the people that maintain it and care for you that create the atmosphere of friendship and caring of the organization and therefore its “personality”. This personality cannot be seen from the tour of a building. It has nothing to do with the building. The success of the facility depends on this personality. After living here for nine months, I can’t overstate the atmosphere of friendliness and caring we found at The Legend of Fort Worth at 8600 North Riverside Drive. It all begins with the caring personalities imbedded in the management and the support personnel at every level and in every function. John Gay By the way, it’s a beautiful facility.

Legend Assisted Living and Memory Care of Fort Worth has been and continues to be a great experience for our family. We moved my mother-in-law into assisted living at Legend 2 years ago and into memory care this past March. From healthcare to cleaning her room, we’ve been pleased with every aspect of her care. The nursing staff and med techs have been responsive to her needs, from caring for an injury due to a fall to an upset stomach/headache. They take care of her meds, from ordering to dispensing to watching her take them; and honestly, this is probably the thing I appreciate the most. They’ve answered every question I’ve asked and responded to every need I’ve brought to them with a caring attitude. The front desk, especially Crissey, is always helpful. I asked so many questions especially after the initial move-in and again when she was moved to memory care, and every question has been answered with a pleasant attitude. The food is delicious and varied; the dining room staff attentive; and Chef is so helpful. We returned late one afternoon as kitchen was closing, but he was so kind in preparing something for her to eat. The entertainment they provide is enjoyable and varied. They have various singing talent regularly, holiday themed events, and lots of other activities; always encouraging family to attend. There’s a Dementia Support Group that has been so informative and helpful. It’s really opened our eyes to the challenges she faces daily. All of the staff have gone above and beyond in helping her, especially on the days when she’s depressed or confused. I cannot expect them to perfect in every aspect but they have certainly helped to reduce the load I was carrying and I am especially grateful to/for all of them.

I am just taking a minute to express our appreciation for and to Recognize the amazing leadership and staff at Legend Fort Worth Assisted living. My mother moved in at 100 years old, had her 101st Birthday there and she loved the party they put together for her. I was looking for a place that my mother would be well cared for and comfortable. The Legend at Fort Worth has exceeded my expectations. The facility is exceptionally well maintained, clean and decorated professionally for every holiday. She is not physically able to take advantage of all the events planned by Life Enrichment Director Andrea Loman, but she has enjoyed many. Regional Director Andrea Fichtner sets the tone for the entire staff, professionalism shows everywhere. I want to specifically thank the Customer Service Administrator Chrissy for her knowledge and assistance with financial detail. The receptionist's, Sherry and Brenda are always greeting us with a smile. Not to forget Marcella from sales who gave us an extensive tour and guided us through the entrance hoops. Thanks to Chris, the head of Medical and nurses Kristan and Sandy, always monitoring and alerting us to Mom’s status. There is no way i can express my gratitude to this place and the wonderful staff. I was at my breaking point with my dad. I have been caring for him for 3 years and had no idea what i was doing. I work by this place so stopped by on my way home and was expecting the smell of a nursing home but was shocked that it was a clean smell. Everything was clean and everyone had smiles on their faces. I made my decision that this was the place before i ever spoke to anyone. Dad is now living there and doing great. He tells me about all the things they do every day on our nightly phone calls. The first few weeks was very difficult for him to adjust but the staff was there the whole time getting him through everything. I cant speak enough of the staff and their caring from their hearts. Everyone that we have met has a deep knowledge of dads dementia and knows just how to care for him. I am truly blessed that i stopped that day, and so greatful that god gave these people a calling in life to care for people with this horrible disease and made them so wonderful at their jobs. Me and my husband have been searching for a place for my mom for about 2 weeks. We had no idea what we were looking for but as soon as we walked in legend fort worth we knew this was the place. My mom came the next day for lunch and loved the food. Every single person that we met seemed to love their jobs and truly had knowledge of caring for the elderly. My precious mother was scheduled to move into Legends of Fort Worth. Having worked in the industry, I set the bar pretty high as far as my expectations for how her move in process should go. The team at Legends exceeded my expectations. Marcella, the Marketing Director, was incredibly kind and understanding to both me and my mother. Chris, the Wellness Director-Nurse was proactive and did not wait for us to call him, he called us first. He was patient and empathetic towards my mother. He was knowledgeable. He made sure that my mother was comfortable during the assessment process. He did not talk down to her but rather spoke directly to her. Sadly, my mom passed away before she actually was able to move in. They were so kind to me during this fragile time and I am forever grateful. We ended up not having my mother in law move in and the experience was so disappointing to us and Marcella helped us through the personal turmoil and transition.

I have been visiting Legend for nearly two years now, and I have always felt very welcomed by the staff. Working closely with their nurse, Chris, I have seen how much they care about their residents! Chris is very on top of their needs, making sure that each resident has the best care to help them through any illness, health challenge, or mobility issues they may be facing. He is very easy to work with, and professional at all times. One of the most important things in my position is communication, and Chris is excellent in this area. My wife and I are in our upper eighty’s and were living in a location six hours drive from our immediate family members. They encouraged us to look for something closer to them for support. We began searching for a Living Facility near them. We visited numerous facilities in Fort Worth and surrounding areas. We made appointments to meet with the staff and tour the facilities and view available apartments. We met with the staff at Legend and they initiated an atmosphere of friendliness and a sincere interest in our anticipated needs. We were shown a number of apartments with a casual, time unlimited and detailed review of each apartment. It seemed as if the whole staff was devoted to helping us find what we were looking for, without any signs of sales pressure, but with an honest concern in helping us find specifically what we were looking for. We also found from our search that Legend is very competitive in cost, amenities and location. Grocery stores, restaurants, a large variety of shops, banks and medical facilities are all close by. We were impressed by the atmosphere created by each staff member showing a sincere interest in our detailed needs. It was obvious that they loved their jobs and people. We moved in and are more excited with our decision now. The friendly atmosphere has not diminished but increased. We have not met a single person, resident or staff that wasn’t friendly and ready to aid us any way needed. From the business side, we have experienced a couple of minor maintenance requirements for our apartment that were cleared almost immediately with talented in house personnel. The food service and the food are consistently excellent and an extensive variety is served. The Chef goes to great lengths to furnish special needs to anyone who may require some special foods. There are many interesting activities and games available to everyone. Our satisfaction with our decision to move here continues to grow. The personnel are caring beyond expectation. Their response is immediate to any and all requests. Everyone knows your name and basic needs. We are treated like family. We are home.

Hard to put into words, just how much Legend means to me and my family. Our dad struggled with the thought of leaving his home and “needing” someone to take care of him. He has been a widower for 18 years and was our mother’s primary caregiver before she passed. He was always the head of our household, a strong leader, a veteran of the Navy. So allowing someone to “help” him with anything has always been a challenge. Picking up the phone to make that first call felt like picking up a thousand pound stone. Upon initial contact, Marcella, the sales Director, made me feel at ease as she listened to my worries and concerns, and was patient as I took a few moments to cry. She invited my sisters and I to visit and, in her words, “feel, not only see, what makes them a special community and residence”. The tour was amazing! I took 2 pages of notes to share! When walking through the doors, the first thing we noticed was the fresh smell. We had been elsewhere and such was not the case. Everything was beautifully placed and clean. It was warm and inviting; very home-like. We saw the maintenance gentleman painting and cleaning crews throughout. Walking through the bistro area, there was a volleyball game in progress and I couldn’t believe how many residents were participating! Maybe 15-16. It was then, that I noticed something Marcella had mentioned. Their population of men! Wow! As we continued, we were stopped by some residents who had only great things to say. I even spoke with a gentleman who has, not only his mother to visit there, but his mother-in-law as well. He said they love it and said they are all family. We were greeted BY NAME, by some of the staff; Brently, Chanetta, and Yolanda, who was so sweet in talking with us, sharing that she has been there 8 YEARS! We noticed a lot of the staff had pins that said 3 or more years of service. This was huge for us. Seeing alot of staff, friendly staff, was unexpected after some other places we had been to. Their nurse Allissa, greeted us in passing and took the time to stop and let us ask her some questions; as did their physical therapist, Jimmy and their residence director, Andrea. At this point, our minds were pretty made up. What sealed the deal for us, was at the end of the tour, we saw a table of 4 gentleman playing dominos and 2 watching; 2 of them wearing VETERAN hats. We stopped to thank them for their service and it turned out they are all veterans! They said great things and how much Legend has changed their lives. We told them we were looking for our dad, a Navy veteran, and they invited him to join them for lunch in the “mess hall”. Marcella hit the nail on the head! We left “feeling” many things; anticipation, excitement and peace. We couldn’t wait to share this with dad. He joined the gentleman for lunch the next day in the “mess hall” and he has been there for 2 months now. Thank you Legend Fort Worth! You all are such an incredible blessing to all of us! If I could make one request though…..please ask our dad to call us more. We can never catch him in his apartment! Haha!

I cannot praise the facility and staff at Legends enough. It truly feels like a home away from home. Witnessing the transformation my mom has undergone since moving here is truly remarkable. Previously, she had felt there was nothing to look forward to, but now, within just a month, she actively participates in activities, has made new friends, and is genuinely smiling again. The quality of food at Legends is excellent, and I often drop by to have lunch with my mom, knowing that we'll be treated to an amazing meal. As someone who finds themselves in the sandwich generation, juggling the responsibilities of caring for both my mom in assisted living and a 5-year-old at home, it brings me immense peace of mind to place my trust in the nursing staff and resident doctor. Their dedication to providing exceptional care for my mom is evident, and it's comforting to know that she's in capable hands. One of the most impressive aspects of Legends is the longevity of its staff. The majority of the team members have been with the company for over six years, which speaks volumes about how well they are treated and the level of commitment they have to caring for our loved ones. This fact alone is impactful and demonstrates the company's dedication to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for both residents and staff. The activities director, A. Loman, deserves special recognition for her exceptional work. She takes the time to truly get to know the residents, ensuring that the activities planned are both enjoyable and engaging. Additionally, I appreciate the extra effort that goes into providing entertainment for the little ones. The room with a basketball arcade and foosball table is a fantastic addition, ensuring that children are entertained while visiting their grandparents. Legends goes above and beyond in organizing special outings to car shows, festivals, and other exciting events. Every detail is meticulously planned, showcasing the thought and care put into creating meaningful experiences for the residents. Furthermore, the cleaning crew is nothing short of spectacular. Even the laundry is done with the same attention to detail we would give it at home, ensuring a clean and comfortable living environment. Finding Legends as a home for my mom has truly been a life-changing experience for both of us. It has opened up new opportunities and improved our lives in countless ways. I am immensely grateful for the exceptional care, the welcoming atmosphere, and the genuine sense of belonging that Legends provides.

This place reeks of evil. The way my grandmother was done is unbelievably. Staff told two of my grandmother's children that are in the state of Texas, she was being combative on several occasions. The few encounters between my grandmother and staff should have been deemed isolated incidents and staff should have walked away from a woman bound to a wheelchair until she was feeling better. When I did arrive Nov 18, 2022 my grandmother was isolated from everyone else in Memory Care and was fully sedated. Her family out of state had no idea of the conditions she was in nor were her family contacted by the facility. My grandmothers bone was protruding out of her back from being in a wheelchair from 8a.m. until 8p.m. and not being properly rotated. Her pendant that goes around her neck was not on her neck and she had well over enough strength Nov. 19th my grandmother started breathing rapidly 911 was called. The fire dept. arrived but it was discovered that a nurse told them their services were not needed because my grandmother was on hospice. That was not true. Overall this facility assisted in the rapid demise of my grandmother.

We moved my dad into legend about 3 months ago. We looked at other places but were sold on legend fort worth once we walked in the door. We walked in during one of the many musical guest and dad completely loved it. Marcella walked us through the move in and was with us every step of the way. Most of the other places we visited was over promising and under delivering. That has never been the case at legend fort worth it is promises made promises kept or goes above and beyond. The nursing staff is very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. The care staff is always going above and beyond for my dad. In the three months my dad has been at legend fort worth we have seen him do nothing but smile and tell us about all the fun he is having. The management team at legend fort worth is a true blessing and lead a wonderful group of employees. If your looking for a place to take your loved one legend fort worth is the place!

My father-in-law has been living at legend fort worth for 2 years. This past week we came to surprise him since we haven't seen him since Christmas. We were so happy to see him having friends and enjoying all the activities. He was telling us about all the trips he goes on and how the activity director has so many activites he has no time to nap during the day. We walked around with him and he would introduce us to all the staff who knew him by name and always had smiles on their faces. We ate lunch with him and not only was the food amazing but the cheif was walking around chating with all the residents. The administrator Andrea even came by the table during lunch to say hi she remembered us from the last visit we made. As a retired nurse i have worked in many senior living communities and this is by far the cleanest one i have ever been in. There was no bad smells and everywhere we were there was someone cleaning, even in the family room there were vacuum marks on the floor like my grandmother used to have in her house. I spent a long time talking to the nurse chris. We went over all of his care and medications. By the time we left i truly felt like my father-in-law was in the right place. It takes alot of work for a facility to be running at such a high level. I just want to say thank you for caring for my father-in-law it has really put my family's mind at ease
