My Parents have been at The Oaks for almost 3 years. From our very first contact, we have been nothing short of amazed by and thankful for the great staff, communication, and ongoing support that we have received from Louis, Karyl, Pam, Nicole, Meghan, and every other staff member we have come in contact with. The care my parents have experienced has provided peace of mind for me and my siblings, as we know that our Parents are well cared for and attended to as their needs require. Ill never forget the care and love the staff showed when my Mom passed away eight months ago...we all grieved together and they took extra care of my Dad who has dementia. The love and compassion they showed (and still show!) is nothing short of amazing. It is exactly what we all want to have surrounding us as we experience the really hard part of getting old. We actually feel like are all are part of the same extended family. The activities, food, and social aspects are all great and, these days, keeps Dad well occupied and content.

When you enter the building even during this difficult time you are greeted with a smile and a warm hello.The Administrative staff is always open to helping answer any questions you might encounter. My Mothers well being is my top priority and I feel as though it is the goal of The Oaks as well.

Great Job by The Oaks Staff and the seniors that live there for a Halloween event tonight. I live across the street and brought some kids over to see what was going on with all the people and cars parked out front of my house. Not sure who had more fun the kids or the seniors that live there. You could see the sparkle in their eyes on all those elderly people to see hundreds of kids walking around in so many different costumes looking to get some candy. What a great thing you guys put together, you should have been doing this every year already. This was my first time in your facility, very nice, very clean and very organized. Nice job.

I wanted to share the wonderful life my family has experienced while my Dad Carroll Roney lived with this community. The caregivers and management team became like our extended family. Walking in during the week we were always greeted with a huge smile from Desuree that made us feel like we were welcome and they were happy to see us. The caregivers would come into my Dads room each one with a smile and a hug for my Dad. You could tell they genuinely cared and would take that extra moment to listen to anything he had to tell them. There are so many to mention by name on every shift that made his life feel more loved and complete. The management staff listened to every issue I may have had and made sure to follow up with sincere concern and determination to make better. The nursing team would address every bump and bruise with love and care and made my Dad always feel special and safe.We went through some ups and downs in the over three years my Dad lived with these amazing souls. I can positively say, even through the downs, I felt my Dad was safe, loved and change was coming. For over a year now this team has been magnificent and I hope if you are considering a place for your loved one you would make a visit and meet the team. You will feel the warmth and love and know this is the community you want to call home.

The Oaks is such a wonderful community for my mother. As a nurse myself, I find the staff at the community professional, kind, and caring. The community itself is beautiful, clean, and inviting. Our family has the peace of mind knowing that Mom is surrounded by great staff, who actively work to keep her engaged, even with the challenges of COVID. My mother has been at the Oaks for about a month. It has been a little hard getting her settled since she was not wanting to leave her home and my father but the staff seem very supportive and patient with her. I have never heard a harsh, mean, or impatient word from the staff. Overall I think it is a very nice place. but I am not giving it a 4 star because of My 4 complaints or observations are: 1. The dining hour seems very disorganized. They bring the food pre-plated and wrapped in plastic wrap. Its cold by the time the staff figure out who gets what plate. Staff have their hands full. 2. Food choices for the memory care are questionalbe. The food does seem to be good and tasty but difficult for the elderly with eye and hand problems. finger foods would be better. 3. Staff places the plates on the table then move on to the next. My mom can't see her food and she sure can't cut it. sometimes the staff gives it a quick cut but the pieces are still big, and not cut through making it difficult for mom to eat. I try to go everyday to help her eat because if I don't, she wouldn't be able to eat. I wonder about the poor folks without relatives that would visit and help. 4. My mom fell. I would think that they would have call buttons in every room or at least personal "call for help" buttons to wear. I feel like the elderly are a vulnerable to falling undetected when staff is at it's sparsest.

My Dad has been at the Oaks for five months and has enjoyed his time there immensely. From our initial contact with Karyl and her assistance in getting Dad settled, to the ongoing contacts with Louis, Nicole, Pam, and Meghan, we couldn’t be more satisfied. They have put together a quality staff who truly care about the residents. The staff take time to sit and listen to residents, which means the world to my Dad and our family. We feel that we are part of a large family. There are numerous and wide ranging activities to keep the residents occupied. My Dad has become best friends with his three table mates and looks forward to seeing them at meals and activities. It’s the perfect place for Dad!

After investigating and visiting several other Assisted Living Facilities in both Denton and Flower Mound, I moved my parents moved into The Oaks 3 months ago (Feb 2019). Everyone was a little worried about the adjustments ahead but the staff there has been absolutely fantastic. From Karyl (spelling probably wrong) to Lewis, Nicole, Meghan and especially Sarah Karr, they are all top notch. Meghan, the activities director keeps them busy with all kinds of activities. I frankly don't know how she does it. Sarah is so sweet and stops by just to check on my parents from time to time as do others. They all seem to go above and beyond to make the lives of the resident's a little nicer. I wish I could name them all but I'm still getting to know them. Also the facility is very clean and will kept. You won't find a nicer place!

We moved my mother into The Oaks because my father was fighting cancer and he could no longer care for her. Her disease required assistance that me and my brothers just couldn't handle on our own during his battle and we needed a place that would be safe, attentive and caring for Mom. We are so glad we chose The Oaks of Flower Mound. The staff is caring, the caregivers are helpful and the daily activities and monthly events give my Mom plenty to look forward to. We've come to know the management team and consider them friends. Any time we need something for Mom, they are quick to help us make the adjustment and they've worked with us on everything from room changes to care level changes to medicine adjustments and more. Our mother can see a nurse practitioner, hair stylist, exercise specialist and more...all without leaving The Oaks and she's made friends that she would never have had living at home or living with us. It's always a challenge finding the right place for your loved one to live when their care becomes too much for you and your family to manage, but The Oaks of Flower Mound and their wonderful staff has made this transition as positive as possible and because of all they do for their residents....I highly recommend that you give them a look when the time comes for you to make this important decision for your loved one(s).

I toured this community and was a little in awe. It was the most beautiful community that I have ever seen. The staff was so great and friendly. I had lunch there and the food was delicious and the residents were all so happy. The community looked like a really nice home and felt warm and inviting. I have toured many communities and have never seen anything as nice as this. We are trying to get my dad to move from Kansas and I know he is going to be happy here. I would recommend anyone see this community.
