Serenity Gardens is a smaller facility that can provide more personal care when needed. The staff is caring. My family has used their service for two of our family members.

Mom has been in a memory care facility for 4 years. We were forced to move her from another facility and with some guidance from great friends we found Serenity Gardens in Dickinson. Went on a tour and met Melia, Stephanie and Rusty. We made the decision that day to move mom. We have been at Serenity Gardens for almost three months and WOW the wonderful change we have seen in mom!! She is happy and thriving in her new environment. Stephanie is great! she is very responsive and a wonderful communicator. She cares about her residence like they are her own family. All of the care partners have been so nice and sweet to mom and us. Even though the process of moving mom to a new place was concerning it didn't take us long to see that this was the best thing we could have ever done for mom. My only regret is that we didn't place her here 4 years ago!

Serenity Gardens is an amazing facility that caters to the memory care residents in their care. Activities are ongoing and the place is always very active. Dancing, crafts and one on one activities are an every day event . The atmosphere is fun and exciting the care is amazing. I would recommend this facility to any family looking for a fun and safe environment.

If you’re looking for a great place to make your loved one feel like home, Serenity Gardens is the place! With great staff, and home cooked meals. They also have daily activities ranging from crafts, exercises, movie days with popcorn , and even weekly entertainment to sing to them while playing the piano and also other instruments. So again if your looking for a fun filled friendly environment Serenity Gardens is the home for them.

Serenity Gardens is an amazing memory care facility. The residents become more like family as each care giver gives one on one attention. This isn’t just a facility, it’s a home. The residents are kept busy and happy with entertainment, activities and made from scratch meals. I would highly recommend Serenity Gardens to anyone who is looking for a loving and safe place for their loved ones.

Serenity Gardens has been home for my relative for the past year. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for how well they have taken care of her. The have given her the respect she has earned in this life and the love she so desperately needs. It feels like family and I could not be more grateful for the kindness and professionalism they exhibit daily. Mom has been a Serenity Gardens resident for roughly 2.5 years. Prior to placing her there, there were many sleepless nights and countless worries that come with being the sole care giver for an elderly loved one with dementia. Until youve lived it, you cannot begin to imagine the toll it takes on your loved one as well as yourself. I thank God every day for allowing me the ability to have such an awesome facility to take care of my precious Mom. Theres no doubt in my mind,she is safe, clean, well fed, and treated with utmost love, care, and respect. Rusty Jordan, the facility Director, is the best of the best. Rusty runs a tight ship and his knowledge of the business, people skills, and love for his residents is very evident. He continues to exhibit these traits with my Mom and all the residents. Rusty is always willing to listen and work through any issues-concerns should they arise.COVID has forced lots of changes be made to comply and maintain the safety of the residents. Rusty and his staff go the extra mile to ensure our loved ones continue to receive great care amid the pandemic. They strive to give extra attention since we, the family members, are unable to interact at this time.If I had it to do over again, I would choose Serenity Gardens hands down. I highly recommend this facility; you will not be disappointed.

I am a geriatrician who worked at Serenity Gardens for five years. I also am the Mother of the owner. My reputation at UTMB, APS, and the Galveston County Probate Court is one of a 100% advocate for appropriate, safe, and compassionate care of the Galveston County elders. Serenity Gardens provides a loving and caring environment for the elders placed in their homes. These homes are dementia certified assisted living facilities. Small 16 resident facilities that provide a loving and active group home environment. This facility is not a nursing home staffed with nurses, but a group home staffed by aides that provide supervision, assistance and love. The vast percentage of families with loved ones there are appreciative for the compassionate care. Many busy families can no longer provide the increased need for physical care and 24-7 oversight for safety. It is my 25-year experience in the field of Geriatrics that the families that complain are usually the ones with unrealistic expectations. I am PROUD of my Daughters skill and love for the elderly. So much so that I had my Father live his last year of life at Serenity Gardens. Anyone wanting truthful reviews from doctors, social workers, elder attorneys, etc. who work with the area assisted livings and personal care homes may contact me and I can help you get objective reviews.

Ive had multiple home health patients living in Serenity Gardens and all of them received exceptional care. Given the current healthcare climate of Covid-19 the staff has been amazing at coping with the needs of residents and their families.

I thank God every day that I found Serenity Gardens Dickinson TX for my 90 year old Mom! The executive director Rusty Jordan and his fantastic staff are everything I could hope for to ensure that Mom is loved and well cared for - what a fabulous team of care givers - dedicated and loving. The environment is like a home and the staff treats my Mom like their family. The food is fantastic - fresh, tasty, well balanced meals - cooked fresh (NOT FROZEN). The physical building and accommodations are well maintained, CLEAN and just lovely. Before I found Serenity Gardens, Mom was at one of those big corporate memory care facilities down the road - horrible care and horrible facility. She has been with Serenity for going on two years now and is thriving. Rusty communicates with me on a regular basis - I visit often and he always gives me the latest Mom report of how things are going.When hurricane Laura came through it was necessary through an abundance of caution, to evacuate for a couple of days. It went off without a hitch - the staff had Moms suitcase packed with her clothing, medications and hygiene supplies. Off we went - I received multiple communications from staff members and Rusty during this time to check on Mom and give me status updates. Then when we came back ALL the staff came out to the car to welcome Mom back HOME. I have little tears just thinking about the love these folks showed her. A special thanks to Chasity for her help during this adventure. know Im going on and on, but honestly I cant say enough good things about this home - I love the staff and trust them with my precious Mom.

I had a wonderful experience when my love one was living in this place. The staff was always helpful and cheerful. Absolute home health nurses were also angels. These would be my first choices should ever the need arise again. I would recommend both companies to anyone.

My mom has lived at Serenity Gardens for over 5 years. They have taken amazing care of her as she has transitioned through the phases of Alzheimer's. The owner, Melia, has been great-- maintains close communication with us anytime there is a change. The staff members are loving and patient. Serenity Gardens has been a blessing for our mom and our family!

Over time, the owners and staff became our 2nd family. We rarely made announced visits. My grandparents were ALWAYS clean and well groomed. They were well fed and kept very active. Ice cream socials, dances, crafts, movies, and so much more. There was a short acclamation period when they first arrived. But once they were there a few weeks, they began to love their new home. Our family slept better knowing they were safe and happy. I highly recommend Serenity Gardens.

My father passed away at Serenity Gardens in 2012; the staff was wonderfully attentive, and the place is very home-like. Melia, the owner, was due to go in for scheduled c-section the morning my dad was declining, and death was imminent; I had to urge her to go on in, and not to worry about my Dad, this was her day. She was worrying that all the details would be attended to, and very concerned with Dad. The blessing was, she had her baby later that day, and my Dad had a very peaceful and quiet passing, and went home to be with the Lord later that morning. The staff handled things flawlessly in her absence. The staff was always kind and understanding with Dad, even though he could be very feisty, suffering from dementia.
