I’d give this facility a million stars if I could. I’ve been coming here for months as a agency nurse meaning I’ve worked at many facilities near and far and have worked beside the worst and best staff in the field(17yrs and counting) however I can honestly say this facility is top tier in providing the best service in every department. I’ve never worked with a more caring but assertive administrator, or business management team that’s more than willing to be team players helping on the floor amongst the nurses and not just sit behind the desk all day, or a therapy team that not only work hard at achieving the goal of providing the much needed rehabilitation of one loved ones but really care about the needs of the pt/resident. I’ve never met a activity director that go above and beyond to provide the essential activities that’s needed to keep a smile on the pt’s/resident’s face and she always have some type of event or outing to look forward to. Let’s not forget the CNA’sone word..REMARKABLE. They have some of the most humble, HARD WORKING, caring, go above and beyond, and very attentive CNA’s I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. They are not just any staff they’re like family and I’ve witnessed first hand for many months now how they treat the residents like family as well. I mean no facility is perfect but I have to say that they really try they’re best to keep the residents healthy and happy. Its a homely and safe feeling that’s kinda indescribable. Keep up the great work Decatur Medical Lodge staff because you guys are truly remarkable. Without hesitation I would allow a family member of mine to stay there if needed because I know they would be in awesome hands.

Found my mother-in-law flithy today. Her diaper soaked with both. She was so tired could not open her eyes. I had to give her a shower after arriving. Breakdown with her skin in bottom area. Not happy at all. I asked if she ate lunch and she told me "no" could not see the food. Tray table was very high and she was unable to lower it. She is in worst shape than when bought in. Will be changing SNFs

My mother started out in this facility as a rehab patient but due to health issues she transferred over to being a permanent resident about 4 years ago. Every single staff member in this facility treated my mother like she was their family. They loved my mother and she loved them dearly. This was her home and she loved being here around everyone and participating in all the activities. On May 31, 2020 I brought mom to my house because her health declined more and she was put on hospice care. She only came to my home because of the Covid pandemic. Due to state regulations we wouldn’t have been able to see mom and I wanted her last days to be surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I can’t think all the staff enough for the outstanding care, devotion and love they gave to mom, she passed away August 17,2020. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking to place their loved one.

This Place is the Best around this area! The staff is Great, the Management care about the people living there and it shows. I can't say enough good things about Jeremy and the rest of the staff. My mother has been there on several occasions and every time she has been there the experience has been a positive one. Thank you Decatur Medical Lodge for all you do!

Mother has been here for three weeks and has no complaints. The nurses and CNAs who provide for her needs have all been friendly and helpful. She says that they make her feel like the only person there. Although she hates physical therapy, the therapists have all been encouraging, and she admits that she is getting stronger every day.

I've witnessed firsthand the love, patience, and kindness the staff of Decatur Medical Lodge show to their residents. They also are glad to answer questions and to provide more information on how to pay for nursing home care through Medicaid benefits, including how to allow a husband or wife that is healthy to remain at home and have an income.

A year ago this month, Mother fell and broke her hip. Today, Mother is very independent with only a few needs. Decatur Medical Lodge works directly with my sister and me , giving us the peace of mind needed. Denise Dennis, along with the staff have always addressed any concerns we have. I highly recommend Decatur Medical Lodge. Thank you to all the staff.

Very nice facility and friendly staff. Denise has done a wonderful job promoting the facility and she was very helpful in admissions with all the paperwork. Very knowledgeable. She has hosted craft nights for the public to come and make wreaths . Highly recommend this place for mom, dad and even physical rehab.

My husband resides at Decatur Medical Lodge and my family and I have been very satisfied. All the staff have helped us and have been very kind and professional. I especially would like to mention Denise Dennis. She has been so special to me. She is more than a employee. She is a friend! She made the process very easy. As a first responder for 27 years, I have had the opportunity to see the good, bad, and ugly of nursing homes and assisted living facilities around the metroplex. I am confident we have made the right choice for my mother by getting her into this one. It is clean, well staffed, and well managed. The staff knew her by name within days, and they treat her with dignity and respect. As in any facility, there will be growing pains when you first hand over care and trust of someone dear to your heart, but each small concern we had was met with immediate attention and professionalism. I highly recommend Decatur Medical Lodge and its staff, and I think if you have done your research, this is the place you will choose as well

We’ve just recently moved my mother into this skilled-nursing home. No complaints thus far. Denise with admissions was absolutely wonderful to deal with in our move. The staff have been very kind and accessible to our concerns and needs. The facility is clean, good activities, and a great location close to doctors and medical facilities. Moving your loved one to a nursing home can be emotionally difficult for a family looking for their loved one. Decatur Medical Lodge helped make this transition a lot less stressful.

Our loved one is a resident here and has received excellent care. She went from Rehab Care to extended living. We appreciate all the staff for the care that is being received. We are most grateful for the CNA's who continually help and care for our family member like it was one of their own. They make her smile and treat her with respect and are concerned about her well being. The nurses take the extra time to talk to us about the needs and what is being done to help with the care. Food Service and Housekeeping are kind and do their jobs efficiently paying attention to the needs of residents. Each time we have a question, the office staff is always quick to answer and help us with any of our concerns. I would highly recommend Decatur Medical Lodge when looking for extended care for a loved one in the Wise County, TX area. They make a difficult time for loved ones and family much better for all involved.

The staff at the Lodge are consummate professionals and should be commended for their dedication! My Mother completed 45 days of Physical Therapy and is going home tomorrow. The PT/OT staff are wonderful and take all the time necessary to make the patient progress. The Nurses and aides (Amy, Bobbie and Nichole to mention a few) are great! The administrative staff (Denise and Caitlyn) are very knowledgeable and helpful as well. If someone is in need of PT we highly recommend Decatur Medical Lodge!
