Walnut Place is a positive, inspirational place where questions are answered, comfort is given and care is priority number one! I’ve been impressed with how much effort each individual member of the team gives and how much time each member puts in to guaranteeing that I am heard and that my loved one is experiencing true compassion. I know that the health industry is currently in crisis; however, no one would ever believe that if he/she looked into Walnut Place: professionalism and work ethic still exist…at least at this facility, and I’m both grateful and impressed! Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity, simply by going above-and-beyond in treating people with dignity and respect.

My uncle has come to the point in his life that he would benefit from assisted living. My sister has been taking care of his needs and found Walnut Place. It's a lovely facility and the staff, specifically Svetlana, has been extremely helpful, friendly, personable and caring! Treating our uncle as if he was her own. He is really looking forward to moving there we are excited for him as well!

As a young person it’s always hard to step into a nursing facility but walking into Walnut Place to visit my great aunt was different! The lobby and receptionist is inviting and friendly. Stepping off the elevator walking down the hall to find my great aunt sitting with a group playing games and having a great time is just the best. Thank you for all you do!

The heart of a professional care environment is in the people who work there. Svetlana made this move into Walnut Place so easy, which is critical at a time when the clients are under tremendous stress. My husband has had excellent care and every effort has been made to accommodate us. ❤️

My mother was recently admitted as a resident in Walnut Places long-term care program. There have been so many great people at Walnut Place who have helped us along the way. First off, Maria Martinez walked me through every step of the admissions process and referred me to an attorney who was able to help me in applying for Medicaid assistance for my mother. She was always responsive--which means so much at a time when a family is experiencing crisis. In addition, Svetlana Santic, Angela Dudley, and Ruby Runnels have also been great in helping us make this big transition. In addition, there are many others at Walnut Place who I unfortunately dont know by name but who have shown kindness and compassion--their smiling faces are appreciated, especially knowing the difficult time these people are currently experiencing as caregivers and administrators in long-term care.

In early October 2020 I had an accident that resulted in a broken leg. My injuries led to some real serious infections and I ended up in the hospital in Corpus Christi. My friend in Dallas found Walnut Place and I was transferred there rehab and medical assistance to recover from my illness. Instead of pointing my finger at the problems, I looked at myself as the reason for what happened to me. I was my own worse enemy. The doctors, nurses, therapists, and other staff at Walnut Place helped me battle these infections, my injury, and helped me learn how to walk again. The food here is good and I actually lost some weight from eating the right foods and exercising,! I was feeling great, but wasnt quite ready to go home on my own. Walnut Place has a program in their assisted living where I could continue with therapy in a furnished apartment. Donna and Ulysses were my therapists on the 2nd floor and continued working with me on the 6th floor in assisted living until my final day. They got me to a point where I felt Confident enough to live on my own again! Today I am leaving the program to go to my new home, and cannot thank Walnut Place enough for helping me get to this point. Special thanks the staff who helped me along the way, Dr. Patton, Camille, Nevin, JJ, Todd, Debrah, PK, And many others I cant recall their names.Thank you, Bo.

I was a patient there for only a week. The service was excellent. Rehab was great .I felt much better. Gave me written exercises to do at home. I do them faithfully every day. I am so walking much better now

I want to mention that since I have been at Walnut Place I have received exceptional advice and guidance. The director and staff are exceptional in everyway. I must confess there are times that I would be lost without them . They are the best of the best that our director,Dusty Davis has hand picked with care.

Ive recently moved my uncle into Walnut Place and its been a difficult change for him. Svetlana has been so kind, helpful and patient to help make this transition easier for us all. The facility is so nice and clean and pleasant. Everyone Ive met so far has been welcoming. The other staff I have encountered have been everything I want in the care for my family member. If they are this good during covid restrictions, I look forward to all they were meant to be when restrictions lift.

The Walnut Place is an amazing facility. The staff takes their time in explaining and showing the benefits of placing a family member at their facility. During this pandemic they have exceeded my expectations and made me comfortable with trying to find placement for my grandfather.

The love for my mother is priceless. My mother was in Walnut Place Dallas after her ER visit at UT SW. all staff expressed their concerns during her stand however, there was nurse or CNA on the COVID floor ensured that mom would be taken care of while in the care of Walnut Please. That was a BIG relief to those words. Thank you Walnut Place if, my mom ever needs to be placed in a facility WPD is the preferred location.

I would like to recognize Angela Dudley, who is the caseworker at Walnut Place, for her excellent help with my brothers care. She has been extremely helpful to us in understanding our care options and always responsive to our concerns and questions. Without a doubt, she has lent confidence and credibility to the services at Walnut Place.

I have been here for 7 mths after a 1 month stay in rehabilitation for knee replacement and it has been a good safe place for me to stay. I will most likely have my rehabilitation done here also when other knee is replaced. Other than this virus which has put a dampner on life for us all I have kept myself busy and enjoyed the quiet when I am home. I would recommend this to others.

My mom just came home from Walnut Place a couple of days ago. She went there after her hospital stay for about 3 weeks. Said the care was great and the staff was very friendly. They kept me up to date on how she was doing and made sure I didnt have any questions. Would recommend Walnut Place to anyone looking for a skilled nursing.

My mother was there for 2 weeks and received wonderful care. Although she was restricted to due to virus concerns, she had someone there who engaged her in activities to pass the time. The nurse were available to give updates at various times during the day.

My name is Paula Hinton. I have stayed at Walnut Place 3 different occasions. The therapy team there is AWSOME! The staff of nurses are caring and kind. The aids treat you as though youre a person. I would recommend anyone to stay here. Ive come here to get better and by the Grace of God I am 90% better. One last thing the Doctors hear (in my opinion) are the mostc aring people around anywhere. Thank you the gang from Admin down to housekeeping are wonderful.

I would highly recommend Walnut Place. My church member father was there recently at Rehabilitation which I visited twice. Employees throughout the building had positive energy from what Ive seen. I was impressed by nurses bed side manners. Caring for those in need is not an easy task therefore I highly recommend this place.

This is my second time to have interaction with Walnut Place as a rehab facility for an older patient . Both of the times the team of Doctors and Medical staff have all been really attentive, caring and supportive along with great care of the patient. Angela has been extremely helpful in keeping me informed of deadlines and updates on the patient.We have had and continue to have a great experience with this facility.

Well.. I will DITTO Russells remarks.. We were there with Mayo from Oct 26, 2016 to April 2, 2020.. It was indeed a 5 STAR treatment from the first day we were there with just rehab care and then Parkinson set in and we wound up on the Memory Care side..and had fabulous experiences with all there.. Beverly and our dear Van.. both took such amazing care of Mayo.. I highly recommend that if you need any rehab or long term care. Walnut Place is the PLACE for YOU or you Loved one. with great respect to all.. Yvonne Crum and Mike Crum.. !

My farther has been at Walnut Place for the last several months and things have really gotten better with the staff and facilities. He has been cared for very well and never had anything but the most friendly nurses and therapists. Surprisingly he even really likes the food. It is a great relief to know that my dad is being taken care of so well.
