We are new to Woodhaven Village. The experience is different from any in the past. I describe it as a cruise ship that doesn't move. Everything thing is provided from apartment to transportation, to meals and activities. The plus is meeting so many nice staff and residents. By the way, the apartment is cleaned every two weeks and the bed is changed. What more can we ask for?

My first time there to assist a client. The scenery is very beautiful and calming. The residents I met were very kind and friendly. For the most part, the staff was kind,helpful, and attentive. There were a couple who seem to have been having an annoying day. The dining room servers were all kind in so much that they were making sure the residents, visitors, and and outside help (such as myself) had what we needed to be comfortable. It is very big place with people with big hearts.

In 2022 I relocated to Conroe, Tx from the Midwest. I was looking for a 55+ complex in the Conroe area which was almost impossible to find. One rainy afternoon my daughters and I passed by Woodhaven and decided to stop and inquire about the cottages. We learned the cottages were part of the assisted living program, which I am not ready for. We then learned about the Active 55+ community which would be built and ready in the 2023/24 year. This is just what I was looking for. I am a very active person who bowls, works out, travels, gardens, crafts, and like meeting new people, so this would be right up my alley. As I signed up and became a Legacy member of the Lakes, the staff has helped me choose an apartment that would fit my lifestyle. Everyone has been very friendly, informative, helpful and just a pleasure to work with. I have met other Legacy members that have become part of my new friend "circle". I am looking forward to moving into the Lakes and meeting new friends to broaden my friend circle, and to continue working with the Awesome staff at the Lakes.

I placed my father here just less than a year ago, and I can honestly tell you that this is the BEST assisted-living/memory care facility, that you will ever find! Truly! The staff is great. The nurses are wonderful. I was very reluctant about putting my father into a nursing home but once I toured the facility and researched everything about it, and trust me, I researched it so much, they probably thought I was with OSHA. LMAO! I found nothing but good things about Woodhaven Village and my father absolutely loves it here. They let him keep his dog here. They have a great chef that cooks wonderful food. They’re always calling me asking me if my father can go somewhere such as out to dinner for the evening or to an Astros game. They really try hard to keep your loved one busy or involved with the community. Matter of fact. Just today, they had a dog show for everyone. It was great! The director of the facility is absolutely amazing! She is a huge asset to Woodhaven Village. Everyone there is truly amazing “except Kyle”, 😜😂 and there friendly, and very helpful, and not to mention, the price of a room is fantastic! If you’re looking for a place you can trust, I guarantee you’re not gonna find a better place than Woodhaven Village in Conroe.

Got a very nice tour of apartments for Independent living and the cottages by Shawna. The facilities were very nice and clean and the staff welcoming and professional. My Mother was originally in a general assisted living room. The staff monitored and reviewed her ability to live alone (Dementia). They recommended their memory care which was actually less expensive and had much more care included than the cost for the original room. It took my mother a little while to get used to Woodhaven (She was a very independent woman before), but since being there a little while, she is far more energetic, happy, outgoing and healthy than she was with me trying to care for her at home. They take them on trips to places like the Renaissance Festival, Astros games and numerous other events. (A lot of local shopping trips and restaurant trips). This is not what people fear when they hear "Memory Care" or "Nursing Home". The staff is very loving and kind. They take care of my mother like she was their own and I have been so pleased to have her in a place that she is happy and comfortable.

I wanted to write a review to highlight our experience at Woodhaven. As background, my parents began their stay at Woodhaven in May of 2017. They both selected it as their final home, and were one of the original families to sign up upon its opening. Life is a journey for all of us, and our family’s experience is no different. My parents started their stay in assisted living. My father unfortunately passed away in December of 2017, not long after moving in. However, his time there was wonderful. The staff were always attentive to his needs (he had many physical issues), and most importantly, they took the time to visit with him socially. It seemed like there was always someone in my parent’s room talking to them. My mother did not have the same physical needs, but began suffering from dementia, and needed more full time care. We were resistant at first to move mom to memory care, primarily because of the stigma associated with it, as well as our own denial that it was time. The director of Woodhaven, Steven, was great in working through this with us. He did not pressure us, but got us comfortable that this was the right move for mom, and he turned out to be right. My mother has Alzheimer’s, and it is an awful disease. That said, she is now thriving in the Whispering Pines memory care unit. They give her the right kind of attention, and when supplemented with hospice care, all of her needs are met. Most importantly, it gives us great comfort knowing that she is content and at peace, even if she is in her own world. We are just thankful for it and love to join her in whatever world she is in! Making choices as to where to care for your parents long term is a difficult choice. Woodhaven is no different than any service business in that there will always be turnover in caregivers, and that there will always be issues that have to be discussed and addressed. Given that is your parents, it can sometimes be emotional, and worrying. Whenever these moments have occurred, we have been able to talk with Steven and get them addressed. There has never been a time where Woodhaven didn’t own an issue and then adequately address it. For that, we are thankful. We have been pleased with Woodhaven, and would recommend to anyone to consider them in your choice for caring for a loved one.

We have had such a hard time convincing my mother to move to an assisted living community. Once she visited, she loved it. She is now a happy resident and is active in several activities and making new friends. I don't have to worry if she is cooking and eating well. My mother has been at Woodhaven Village for almost a year now. She entered with my father who passed away a few months after they arrived from dementia. The staff were incredibly supportive with my father and gave him the dignity he would have wanted during the end. Everyone at Woodhaven went out of their way to be supportive of my mother and help ease her through her grief. She is now immersed into the community and has made many friends. She is more active than she has been in years attending bingo, movie nights, trips to local restaurants and stores, and even the symphony. I am so grateful to have found a place where my mom is happy and feels cared for every day.

As a child one of the hardest decisions you may have to make is the care for your elderly parents. We had to face this with first my father-in-law placing him in Whispering Pines, Woodhaven's Memory Care Unit. It was tough, but we are thankful that we had the staff support at Woodhaven that made his transition from home so much easier on both him and the family. My mother-in-law already being comfortable at Woodhaven and already knowing most of the staff and the excellent care they give. She decided she wanted to live in their Assisted Living so she could be closer to her husband. While he passed away only a few short months after she moved in. She was able to still keep her independence and also know she had someone there around the clock and just a push of a button away. As hard as it was and still is on our seniors and their families not being able to have one on one visits during the pandemic. Woodhaven has managed to keep them safe. There aren't enough words to say how thankful and how much we appreciate their efforts. As a family... we highly recommend Woodhaven Village Senior Living

The onsite management team works well together to make sure all residents receive the best level of care possible. We (my parents) have been with Woodhaven for several years now, in both independent living and assisted living. Their services and attention have been exceptional in what can sometimes be trying times (not the least of which would be Covid 19). From what we've (the family) seen, the staff is always cheerful and bright, and the administration has always attended to matters with patience and diligence, despite the fact that these 'matters' can be frustrating and exhausting. We chose Woodhaven Senior Living Community in Sept 2017 for my parents’ move from their home in West Texas to the Houston area so they could be closer to where I lived. In the ensuing three years, they utilized all of the living situations available at Woodhaven: independent living for both my parents, memory care for my father, and assisted living for my mother. Both of my parents passed away at Woodhaven following excellent care by a wonderful staff who were always there to help me through the difficult stages of caring for aging parents. My husband and I can't say enough about this loving and compassionate facility where his parents began their journey in assisted living in 2017. Eventually, Mom transitioned to Memory Care and Dad stayed by her side where she passed away surrounded by excellent care givers who helped us each day with their direction, love, kindness. Dad is still there today back in assisted living and really does call this his home. He enjoys playing pool and is looking forward to their outings when everything opens up. The administrators and staff have shown great direction and strength throughout the COVID crisis keeping him safe and cared for during this time. Joe and I highly recommend Woodhaven Village and the various staff members from administration, medical, meal preparation, and housekeeping who always treat my father in-law (who really is a father to me) with kindness and respect. Everyone is always available to us to address any questions and concerns that we may have regarding his level of care. When it came time to place my father-in-law we chose Woodhaven Village not because of the beautiful, amenity-filled facility it is (although it is), but because of the care they provide. I believe the tone and attitude of employees is set by the leader. The Executive Director here truly cares about not only the residents, but the employees as well. My father-in-law was allowed to bring his dog which has been a major contributing factor to his successful transition. My moms journey has not been an easy one. She was in assisted living (at another facility) before checking herself out and moving back home. I finally convinced her that she could not live at home and she moved to independent living in the Woodlands. She didn’t like that one, so we had to move her to another one in the Woodlands, she didn’t like that one either and that’s how we ended up at Woodhaven. My mom is very much like the princess and the pea! She enjoyed independent living there. Due to declining health we have had to progress through assisted living and then into memory care. It has not been easy, but Woodhaven has been nothing but gracious and helpful throughout this difficult time. They have an incredibly difficult job and their ability to graciously care for my mom has just astounded me.
