Ellery Arbor Memory Care is truly a special place. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can tell that every detail of the community was thoughtfully designed with residents living with dementia in mind. The building is beautiful, unique, and creates an environment that feels safe, engaging, and welcoming. What stands out most is the compassionate care. The team genuinely treats each resident with dignity, kindness, and respect while providing personalized support for both residents and their families. It’s clear they are passionate about enriching the lives of those they serve. Beyond providing exceptional care, Ellery Arbor is an incredible resource for the community. Their commitment to education, caregiver support, and dementia awareness helps families navigate a challenging journey with confidence and compassion. If you’re looking for a memory care community that combines innovative design, exceptional care, and a true commitment to supporting families, I highly recommend Ellery Arbor Memory Care.

I moved my Mom a couple of months ago and our entire family has been thrilled with the kind and helpful staff who are well-trained, the excellent restaurant quality of the food, and the cleanliness of Ellery Arbor. I highly recommend Ellery Arbor.

My husband has been a resident here for 18 months and things here have changed since last year when he was placed here . I visited several memory cares last summer and really liked Ellery, when the time came that it was necessary to place him I placed him here and was so happy I did, RAs are so caring to all the residents. I do have a camera in his room to check on him occasionally and to see that he is being checked on. Since last year many people have quit, there is a new director and the tone of the facility has changed. Problems don't always get reported to the families of the residents. There is no communication from the main office Sagora at all. You can call and call, but no one will return your calls. That being said I am waiting for another issue to be resolved and if it isn't I am affraid I will need to move him, which I will hate, but there needs to be more communication to the families of residents. I shouldn't have to hear things through other family members.

Ellery Arbor Memory Care is truly a wonderful place. The recent renovation of the facility and resident rooms is absolutely amazing. One of the most unique and thoughtful features is the indoor street with its shops and movie theater ” it creates a sense of familiarity and comfort for residents and really helps make it feel like home. The food is excellent, and the kitchen staff does an incredible job. The nursing staff is caring, compassionate, and always helpful. From the moment you walk through the inviting front entrance, you can feel the warmth of the community. The executive director and entire staff genuinely care deeply for the residents and their families. They truly make you feel like family. Highly recommend Ellery Arbor to anyone looking for a caring and welcoming memory care community!

Ellery Arbor is a wonderful place and community for memory care! I immediately felt at ease and knew this would be a perfect fit for my mom. The caregivers are loving and really know the residents. We have been so blessed to have her reside here. The updated decor is also very welcoming and cozy.
November 2025
Newly renovated facility which is wonderful. Glad the investors realized it was time to fix the place up. The caregivers are kind and caring but they are understaffed and work double shifts. It is impossible to have them follow through on my mother’s individual care plan to offer a shower every day with the understanding that she may decline. The caregivers do not even follow through on the facility’s policy for her normal scheduled showers. The staff training is sub par.

Recently move our mom there. So far it’s great!! Very nice, clean and attentive staff. Tracie did a great job getting us in quickly and with minimal fuss.

We moved our mom into Ellery Arbor after having an elopement issue at her previous facility. The transition went as well as we could’ve hoped and the staff have been responsive and very pleasant to work with. Tracy did a great job explaining the benefits of the community and their efforts to ameliorate the complexities of dementia and Alzheimer’s.

February 2025
We moved our mother to Ellery Arbor 5 months ago after a short stay at another facility and we have been very happy with the care she receives. Tracie Miller was our initial contact and was extremely helpful and reassuring during an overwhelming time for us. The entire staff is caring and respectful to both residents and their families. Ellery Arbor offers a lot of activities and has many different areas for the residents while also being very secure.
February 2025
Tracie Miller was wonderful to work with - she quickly helped get a tour scheduled and made everything go smoothly with having a nursing assessment and paperwork completed for a fast move and easy transition. Thank you for all your help!
February 2025
Working with Traci is a breath of fresh air. She genuinely cares for every person who walks through her door. She’s not just looking to gain residents”she serves as a valuable resource during one of the hardest times in people’s lives. She is highly communicative and knowledgeable. Ellery Arbor has provided exceptional care for everyone we have referred, and we will continue to partner with them to help as many seniors as possible because they deserve the level of care that Ellery Arbor provides.
February 2025
Tracie, Marketing Director, helped make my sister’s move-in a seamless process. During the tour she suggested a room that was convenient to the dining and living areas. She even arranged to have a planter of flowers placed outside the room’s window. The caregivers are kind and the ladies that lead daily activities add fun to the lives of the residents.

We just moved my Dad in and it was a smooth process. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. We feel very confident that this is my Dad’s new forever home. The staff is always available with any questions or concerns we have.

My mother was in Ellery Arbor for four years. I am going to leave a detailed review, but first I would like to pass on some helpful tips to help people facing this situation for the first time. 1. Call the facility and ask who the hospice providers are that visit residents in their facility. Call those hospice providers and ask how the staff and management at the facility treat them and the residents. They see it all and can help you understand how the facility really operates. 2. Look at the whole facility, not just the wing or part that they show you. 3. Carefully look at all of the reviews. Ask yourself why former employees are leaving glowing reviews if they are former employees. 4. Come to at least one resident or family council meeting before you put your loved one in the facility. Hear what the people (and their loved ones) who have been in the facility for a while have to say. 5. Show up at the facility at an odd hour, outside of your scheduled visit. Notice the state of the facility itself and watch what for what the staff is doing or not doing. Pay close attention to the smell. 6. Ask for a detailed description of what communication you are going to get regarding your loved ones. How many times are you checking on my mom during the night? Is there a log of these checks? Do we get a report? What about showers per week, teeth brushing, clothes changes, etc.? Supplies? Do you keep track of what they eat? Can we expect an update daily/weekly? 7. Once you have made your decision, get a camera on day one. I waited too long to install one in my mother's room, because I wanted her to have some privacy. That was a mistake for a lot of reasons. 8. Ask who is on staff overnight. Is there a nurse on staff overnight? How many people are here overnight and what are their responsibilities? Things are going to go wrong in memory care. Items will be lost, and rooms will get dirty. Loved ones may not want to shower or brush their teeth. All kinds of things that you aren't thinking about right now are going to need to be addressed. Make sure the people you meet can help you understand how they are going to help you navigate this difficult journey. If they cannot articulate to you how they can guide you along the path, then I would suggest that you keep looking. Ask them for examples of problems they encounter and how they resolve those problems. Get specifics. Four years ago, Ellery Arbor was a beautiful facility. The property is very worn out at this point, but we were repeatedly assured that new fitments and furniture are forthcoming any time now. That upgrade may be happening as I type. Main street and the activities were the main attraction for us. Here is our experience and my opinion: Ellery Arbor is a business, and it is run like a business. They will tell you that the facility is staffed to state guidelines, based on occupancy. That isn't enough people, but it covers them legally. We have had four directors in four years. They do not seem empowered to do and spend what needs to be done and spent to make EA the top-notch facility that its residents are paying for it to be. It seems to me that the directors either leave if they care and can't do anything to fix it, or they get fired if they can't keep the families at bay. There was zero communication from anyone at EA, unless we forced the issue. No reports, no updates, no alert when a loved one runs out of supplies or needs something new. If my family hadn't been going up there regularly, the experience would have been a lot worse. Numerous caregivers, nurses, etc., have left over the last four years. My speculation is the same here as well. They care, but they can't work in a broken system. Let me leave you with this: My mom died on August 7th. I have not received one communication from EA of any kind. No call, letter, email, etc. It is August 23rd. I hope this helps you find the right place. Pic is mom after a fall at EA. She died 12 days later. We have no idea how long she laid in another resident's bathroom.

My sister and I moved our mom into Ellery Arbor two years ago after visiting five nearby facilities. Ellery Arbor was our favorite, and we felt like it was a special place. We immediately liked the open spacious Main Street area that includes a bright and colorful craft area, a snack area soda shop decorated in 50’s theme, a movie room with big screen, a music nook with a grand piano that anyone is welcome to play, hair salon, and a lovely room that families can reserve for private gatherings if they desire. It feels bright and open with room to roam, and there are three neighborhoods off the main area each of which include the residents’ rooms, dining area, additional sitting area with TV, and a courtyard. The activities directors are great and not only plan many daily and weekly activities with music, games, exercise and art, but they also plan fun and beautiful special events such as a Luau with hula dancers, Barbie day with lots of pink balloons and decorations, Christmas/Holiday lunch with special music (one year there was a harpist), special events on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, etc. And they take residents who are able and would like to go on excursions to places like the art museums. There is a church service offered on Sunday mornings and Bible study during the week. The staff and caretakers are friendly, helpful and caring. I was once told by an administrator that they hire for the heart, and I can see that that is true. I have gotten to know and love many different staff members/caretakers over the last two years and they have had loving and compassionate hearts and many have been exceptional. There is a lot of turnover in this field but Ellery Arbor continues to hire loving workers. I am grateful to Oscar and Alethea in administration who have been kind, willing to listen and helpful as they have walked along beside me on this difficult journey of having a loved one with Alzheimers.

I moved my father into Ellery Arbor on August 1st after a 3 week stay in a rehab hospital. Dad was wheel chair bound and required assistance transferring from the wheel chair to bed, toilet, etc. The caregivers were prompt (usually 2 or 3 minutes) when assistance was required. The food was good and the staff always had the care of the residents the top priority. Executive Director Oscar Luna does not sit in the office. He is in the community talking to staff and residents. Oscar often works in the kitchen making sure the food quality is maintained. Over the past 3 years Dad was in 5 different senior and assisted living facilities. Ellery Arbor was by far the best. I also have to compliment and thank Custom Care Hospice for the wonderful care they provided Dad during his last months of life.

Caregiving is such an honorable profession, especially when it is performed with the skill, compassion and grace of Erica Ornalez...Ellery Memory Care Center. In her loving support of our mom, Erica has become a critical extension to our family. Her knowledge of the industry coupled with her interpersonal skills is recognized, not only by our family, but other residents’ families who often share their comments with us regarding her care. Erica personifies the mission statement of Ellery, which pledges to deliver every resident customized care that ensures their physical, mental, and spiritual well being. Erica is committed to devising activities and field trips that restore residents' sense of independence and adventure, both of which enhance their daily lives at Ellery. We are often amazed by Erica’s ability to connect with our mom on a level that restores peace when she is anxious and clarity in the midst of confusion. Our mother has spent her lifetime tending to the needs of her babies" - and now, it’s an honor to stand by her side, tending to her needs during this difficult season of her life, while assured that Erica stands with us.

They do the best they can. I wish they had more help. It's a very sad place, the workers do the best they can. The only wing I am familiar with is the memory care wing. Other wings may be much nicer. They could improve the food.

Ellery Arbor Memory care is a beautiful facility with a friendly staff. They continue to utilize COVID precautions and Elena at the front desk was very helpful. Healing Hands Healthcare is grateful to know about such a wonderful facility.
May 2021
We transferred my mother from another Memory Cary place here, because the previous place was absolutely awful (avoid Mustang Creek!). Ellery Arbor was fantastic right out of the gate. They were extremely helpful in getting my mother set up. The staff takes fantastic care of her; every time I go to visit, someone is always saying hello and striking up conversation with her. There is so much for them to do and, even during COVID times, they've done well with keeping everyone active. I rarely write reviews but for something this important, I think every little bit of input helps. I recommend them to take care of your family if that time comes.

My grandma lived here until she passed away. When she was taken to the hospital they discovered a bed sore, a UTI, and pnuemonia. It has taken me a while to write this review because I grew to love most of the staff who cared for my grandma. I just wonder why her bed sore was allowed to fester? This is why I give a low rating. The sepsis set in and very little could be done. I watched my grandmother die in the hospital. I can't help but wonder if it could have been avoided if she would have been sent early on for the bed sore. There were other strange incidents that occurred. The staff left patients alone in the gathering room. I only knew because we came late and stayed in her room. They forgot that I was there. These patients were late stage Alzheimer's/dementia. They could have fallen and died. I could not in good conscience leave the patients alone. We waited 10 minutes for someone to come, and finally told the receptionist. She was amazing and found the med tech "making a bed." I always wondered if the med tech was actually sleeping. Whatever the case, I called the director who assured me that they'd be trained. There were also many occasions when my grandmother had soiled herself, but no one seemed to rush to help her. It got to the point that I insisted on helping them, or doing it myself. There were a couple aids (cough... Sheri... Cough) who were much better than others. One occasion happened on Christmas Eve. We were ready to have our family celebration and grandma had been sitting in her own feces for who knows how long. They claimed that they had no one to help her. I had to get the event director to help her. It was frustrating to say the least. If your loved one needs nursing home care, you should probably consider an actual nursing home. If your loved one needs an apartment than it would be great. The care disintegrates as their stages increase. Again, this is not to be rude to the staff, as I believe some do more than others, but ultimately not everyone cares about your loved one like you do. If you are going to pay as much as grandma did, than your loved one doesn't need to sit in their own feces. Overall, it is probably better than some, but since my grandmother passed away from things that in my mind could have been prevented I give a 2 star rating. Again this is from my own experience and perception as a family member who visited almost every day.

US Memory Care of Colleyville is like a breath of fresh air. When looking at memory care communities, they all seem to be exactly the same- just a different "look". This community was the first I came to that I thought "wow, now this is cool!" Although this community is only about 2 years old, they really have their act together. I was so surprised at how caring and attentive the staff was to the residents and families. Kelly, their director, is extremely friendly and helpful. You can tell she has such passion for seniors. Kelly and Jill both work hard to make sure that new families coming into the community are welcomed, cared for and educated. Melissa, the Life Experiences Director, always has something exciting going on in "Main Street". Every time I see her, she is full of warmth and smiles. I had heard their food was delicious, but when I finally tried it myself- WOW! Bridget is a culinary master! Anytime there is a maintenance need- Jose is quick to get it all straightened out. I really can't say enough about how great this place is!!
