We couldn't be happier with the care that mom is receiving at Cedar Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center. She loves participating in the many activities throughout the day, she enjoys the food and going out on field trips. Most importantly, the staff are incredibly caring and love what they do.

Cedar Ridge has taken great care of my parents the last few years. Through COVID and the chaos that brought, the caregivers were compassionate and caring and loved my parents like family. We are truly thankful for this facility and the staff (many of which have been there for several years!)

I am thrilled with the care that my husband receives at Cedar Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center. He suffers with a type of dementia that causes difficult behavioral issues to manage. The management, professional and care staff provide the respect and extra care he requires to achieve their goals and meet his needs. I feel confident that my husband is treated well and is safe in their hands. The facility itself is beautiful and has enough space and different rooms for the residents to enjoy a variety of activities, which they provide daily. And it is always clean and smells good. I like the fact that I can speak with almost any member of the care team and get feedback about my husband. It is like a big family there, because the staff shows care and concern. What more can you want when you make the difficult decision to transfer you loved one from his home, than to know that you moved him into another type of home.

It was very difficult to decide to move my spouse into care. However, Cedar Ridge is a lovely space and the staff are excellent. Staff know the residents and go above and beyond merely performing a job. My family and I spend time pretty much every day at Cedar Ridge and I've not seen any inappropriate behavior by staff or neglect of sometimes very demanding residents. Residents are not "drugged up" to keep them calm, as one hears about some facilities. Rather, staff are patient, have relationships with residents and genuinely seem to care that residents are comfortable and engaged. I've seen them handle difficult situations, as will normally occur in a memory care facility, with humor and patience. Further, the residents care about each other. My husband has residents who spend time with him and tell me about his day, even though he is unable to speak to them. I would say it takes staying aware and communicating resident needs to staff. However for us, that is mainly because we have to ensure Hospice coordinates properly with Cedar Ridge. Cedar Ridge's activity personnel arrange many activities inside and outside, as well as live performances. As far as negatives, they are minor and far outweighed by the great things offered by Cedar Ridge. Laundry gets mixed up infrequently, sometimes personal items dissappear (likely because residents wander and pick things up), sometimes outside business hours it is hard to get into the building to visit, feeding for residents who need to be fed aren't always ideal, especially when staffing is low. Overall, my husband has more to keep him engaged than I could provide at home and I am confident he is safe and receives the care he needs in a pleasant environment.

When our family could no longer meet David's care needs, we looked at facilities in several towns. We feel blessed to have found Cedar Ridge. Our primary goals were to find a facility where David would be well cared for and safe. Cedar Ridge meets these. In addition he lives in a bright, cheerful and very clean facility where the caregivers take pride in their work. This pride is obvious by the way the clients are all clean and dressed early to start each day, the client rooms are neat and clean and beds are made each morning. The staff interacts positively with David and always knows where he is whenever a family member visits. I am pleased with the stimulation through the planned activities that David receives daily. The special events that I have attended have been thoughtfully designed to help the clients and their families have meaningful interactions. And David loves the food! Overall Cedar Ridge checked all the boxes and I highly recommend it.

My mom moved here from assisted living after it became clear she needed higher levels of support and inclusive activities for her dementia. She has always loved keeping busy and at Cedar Ridge they're great at providing things for residents to do to keep their minds active and engaged. When I've visited, I've been pleased that medication is given when it should be and it is a good atmosphere, and my questions or concerns are always answered and dealt with. A friend told me the public bathroom which residents and visitors can use within the facility was quite unclean, but I didn't see it myself. The pros do greatly outweigh the cons. I'd love to see more resident photos on the FB page and on the app...that would be great especially for those of us who live further afield. I'm very glad my mom is well looked after and has people around her with her best interests at heart.

My husband has been a resident here since August 2021, and I am also a part time employee. The facilities are homey and very inviting, and the staff is caring and knowledgeable. I feel very confident about my husband’s safety and care, and working here is a blessing.

Our family loves CR Alzheimer's Special Care Center. My mom moved in over a year ago after living in an Assisted Living (where she wasn't cared for at the level which she needed). Even though she has Alzheimer's, and moves typically make Alz patients decline, my mom actually improved after moving in to Cedar Ridge! The amount of care and attention the staff give each resident is amazing. Each staff member knows intricate details about my mom and how she's doing and what she's doing at any time. My mom loves the number of activities that are offered (she likes to stay busy, and I like for her to stay busy), my mom loves the food, and she says the staff listens to what she has to say. They also offer a support group once a month for the family members. That has been a huge benefit to me. I've done extensive research on Alzheimer's, and I know everything that's coming, but my heart doesn't always accept what my head knows. My mom was my best friend before this awful disease grabbed hold of her 13 years ago, and the support group helps me deal with the daily loss of my mom and my best friend.

My father lived at Cedar Ridge for about one year until his passing yesterday. I can not say enough good things about this place. I have never met a more friendly, dedicated, and competent bunch of people in my life. Without exception, the staff are outstanding. The facility is always clean and the residents are well cared for. Visits from family members and friends are not only welcomed but encouraged. No question goes unanswered, no request goes unmet. Everyone is treated like family. I recommend Cedar Ridge without hesitation for anyone who needs this level of care. My father no longer resides there, but it was made very clear to me that I am welcome back anytime to visit. I consider everyone of the staff to be my friends and family. I hope I never require memory care, but if I do, this is where I want to be. In the meantime, I plan on making occasional visits there just to say hi to my family. Austin Kessler
