Reviews Morada Cedar Hill
May 2026
I moved my parent into Morada memory care Cedar Hill, Texas about a year ago. They were recently discharged for aggressive behavior. Since the first day of admittance, every visit involved me asking them why routine services were not being performed. Complete negligence. I would visit 3 to 4 times a week. My parent hadn’t had a shower in a week because of the lack of communication between shifts to them wearing the same clothes for 3 to 4 days again with no shower. I walked into their room, and the bed had feces on it and it was all over the floor in their room, on their shoes and they were tracking all over the memory care unit and no one noticed until I arrived and brought it to the staff’s attention. This happened 3 to 4 times. Lots of promises were made to make things better but no consistent execution ever followed those promises. I explained that all I wanted was consistency and that was never delivered. As stated before, communication with staff and between staff is horrible and effort in care is minimal. This place does not execute a consistent standard of acceptable care.

My Mom lives at Morada Cedar Hill. This is an awesome place to live! The rooms are affordable, the staff is wonderful and the med techs are kind and attentive with her. Ginger is great among the many others. They always have patience and are very understanding. There is always something fun to do and the activity director Jessica is awesome! They play bingo for prizes, make arts & crafts and even go on field trips. Their Receptionst, Helen is the sweetest and most hard working lady. She always makes everyone smile and brightens the day with her smile and personality. My Mom loves living there and we are so pleased and happy she has a retirement place she can call home.

Morada Cedar Hill is one big family! They create positive experiences, like Family Night featured in these pics. And they care for their residents like their own family, especially caregivers like Cathy. Cathy is patient, caring, and thoughtful. You can tell she loves what she does by how much she gives of herself! I'm very thankful for Cathy and the rest of the Morada team.

This is about MORADA Assistive Living. After 2 yrs having a loved on being cared for there, our experience was good until about 6 months ago Unfortunately, when nursing staff changed (Tiwania left & Ginger was demoted) so did the care for our loved one. Even the cleaning of the room a certainly his bath care declined tremendously. And you could not it a straight answer from anyone. One person would say one thing and someone else would give other information. Actually, we saw the staff decline starting when the ED Alen left. The people that treated our loved one & us with respect and care were: Alen. Taiwania, Ginger, Crystal, & the new activities director helped to get our loved one into Activies AND Helen at the from desk. To those few we are very grateful. Upon moving out of Morada we WERE NOT treated with respect, nor did anyone help us whatsoever. This leaves a bad taste in our mouths. We hope Morada will improve but we won't be referring friends there anytime soon.

My Uncle is a resident in the independent living part of Morada and they proved to us how awesome they are when Ms. Lewis called at 2am saying he "wasn't being himself." He was diagnosed with a stroke. He is better now due to Morada employees being so in tuned with their residents! The caring continues as their team is helping us to transition him back home! THANK YOU MORADA TEAM!!!

My father was physically assaulted by a care giver employed by Morada Memory Care on July 1, 2023. The employee punched a 76 year old in the eye causing it to swell shut. The facility did not seek medical attention for him and [name removed], the third director in twelve months, stated that she didn’t feel it was serious enough to seek medical attention. Not a single leader of this company has even offered an apology. Several emails remain unanswered. To add insult to a true injury, they followed up two weeks after the incident with an immediate eviction notice (which is against TX state law) on bogus claims signed by Director, [name removed]. This place is a joke. Most of the employees do NOT know how to properly treat or care for dementia/Alzheimer patients. The leadership from President down to the director, has yet to give the full truth of what happened that Saturday evening. The 19 year old employee admitted that he punched my father on account of being bipolar, having anger management issues, and PTSD. Apparently, he should not have been working there to begin with. DO NOT leave your loved one with these people!

Morada Cedar Hill is a wonderful place with amazing residents. Most people are willing to help each other out and take new residents under their wing. The meals are beautifully served and the staff really sees to the needs of each resident as an individual. There are common areas where residents and families can sit and socialize, events that bring everyone together and outings to just go have some fun.

I have to say that the staff and the facility was very nice and made us feel good about considering our aunt to live there. Mr. Granger was very knowledgeable and forthcoming with any questions we had. Thank you for your time and patience.

I went by to check out this facility for my aunt that needed assistant living. I was very impressed upon walking in I was greeted by very outgoing receptionist "Ms. T". She was so helpful and brought beautiful energy to the place. Then the marketer Robin was excellent, he gave me a tour and answered all my questions. The staff was very nice and professional and the facility was nice and clean! Very pleased with what I saw and my aunt was excited!!!
October 2022
This place was recommended by a friend. My uncle Eddie being up in age needs to be put in an assisted living (didn't want a nursing home ½) and due to my work schedule I'm unable to take care of him full time. I met the marketing guy Mr. Robin who greeted me with a comforting demeanor so I could relax. He gave me a tour of the facilities. Clean, smell good and the residents look happy. He was very forthcoming with answers to my questions, and he even ask me about my uncle. Because of his dementia and Alzheimer's he explained to me that he would benefit from the memory floor. He also gave me more information on the facility. As I told Mr. Robin I'd keep his facility at the top of my choices. And I know my uncle will be very happy here. Just from the tour and meeting some of the staff it was a warm and welcoming place. Thank you for your time and patience with me.

Morada Cedar Hill is a beautiful community with a great staff and a diverse population. The wellness director (Twania) is the most compassionate individual I have ever met. Your loved ones are safe with her.
September 2022
I have been a resident here for 5 years and having Kiki as an activity director has been the biggest blessing to all of us. She is kind and patient with us, most of all she puts a lot of thought into our activities. Kiki is making sure we have multiple opportunities to get out of the building and takes us on outings often. Kiki makes sure we are included in making decisions about what we do and where we go. The staff here are wonderful; they make us feel like family and take great care of us!

This place is absolutely EXCEPTIONAL!!! Staff is professional and caring, food AND presentation are wonderful...like a very nice restaurant. It is clean and again did I say the staff is wonderful, engaging and sensitive. My 91 year old dad is making an awesome transition to this place and loves it as well. Robin Grainger, Ms. Williams (administrator), KiKi and others know their "stuff" and put residents and family first. I did a lot of research on this place and competition. My family made a great choice. Thank you Morada!

I have been a resident at this community for almost 5 years. The activities are great! Especially exercise, dominoes and bingo! Kiki is a great activity director. She takes us on lunch outings on Friday's. Felicia is a great assistant to Kiki, she makes sure we don't miss any activities! She comes by all throughout the day to remind us. Felicia and Kiki are both kind and caring they are 2 people you can depend on Mrs. Frances and Maria are the housekeepers, they makes sure our rooms are very clean, even our doorknobs and windows are clean. The carestaff are dependable as well. My medication is never late. Always right on time. If your looking for great place to offer quality care on top of love and security Morada is the place to be.
June 2022
EXCEPTIONAL!!!!! If you want professionalism, exceptional customer service, sensitivity, efficiency and the best care for your loved one, this place is where you need to go. I needed a place for my 91 year old father. From my first visit to making dad one of their residents, [name removed] and the facility's head administrator have been accessible, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Their advice has been spot on every step of the way. I feel so strongly about this facility that I am posting my number for anyone to call me about the service my family is experiencing. [phone number removed]. I run one of the largest journalism organizations in the country and I will tell you that I am not shy about expressing the facts about efficiency and professionalism of businesses. This one is absolutely exceptional!

Looking for a place like home for your loved one? I recommend Morada Cedar Hills. Whether you need Memory Care or Independent Living this is a great place to bring your family. Elizabeth in Memory Care is a blessing to this facility and takes pride in her work. Not only does she love her job but you can tell that your family is treated like her family. I would definitely recommend this community to my family and friends when looking for long term care. Stop by and say hi and take a look for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
December 2021
I had a scheduled tour of the facility. I must say that I was quite impressed with the employees and staff. The facility was clean and staff organized. The tour was very informative and well put together. I wasn't rushed nor did I leave there with unanswered questions.
December 2021
I love Morada! The people here are friendly and so helpful. Anything that you need they get for you and in a timely manner. The food is delicious and there's always good variety! If you've been living on your own and finding that you cannot fix home cooked meals and are having a hard time doing your housekeeping, they do all of that for you with excellence (even your laundry). There are activities that you can become involved and field trips. Everyone including the residents are so friendly and kind. I could have never found a better place to live I absolutely love Morada. Just come by and visit Morada in Cedar Hill Texas and you'll love it too! You will have found your new home!

I cannot rate that place because I only went in to visit someone and come out can I get a give an opinion on it
November 2020
Wow!!!What a beautiful community! I came in a couple Saturdays ago, after visiting some other distasteful (understatement) communities. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was your community smelled so pleasant, nothing like the others. To my surprise the Sales Rep (tall gentleman) was actually on duty, unlike most of other places I went to. He most definitely renewed my faith in finding somewhere for my grandmother to live. He was easy to talk to, very professional, and informative (all the info that I needed). The tour was amazing your Community looks very homie and inviting. This place will be at the top of my list
November 2020
Such a beautiful community with super friendly and informative staff. The residents here have been kept Covid free, unlike some other facilities. Seems to be the perfect place for my grandmother, a place where she can stay healthy and safe.
November 2020
This facility was highly recommended to me quite some time ago by a dear and trusted source. However, due to life circumstrances, I wasnt able to do my own research at the time-as intended. Recently, I was forced to make this task a priority, and I must say that I do not regret it...one bit. My first observation of Crescent Place was via the telephone. I was greeted with warmth, patience and professionalism. I was armed with a list of intricate questions, yet each one was answered with such ease. The impressive results from the oral examination compelled me to proceed with scheduling a tour. This is such a beautiful property! The community is immaculate and very inviting-minus any weird-unsanitary odors. The Sales-Marketing Manager was expecting my arrival and seemed eager to show me the grounds. The residents appeared happy to be there and the other employees were cheerful and friendly.Robin was hospitable and continued to answer the second phase of my in-depth questioning. It was quite comforting to be able to speak with a representative who is so passionate about caring for somone elses loved ones. I walked away genuinely feeling that Crescent Place will be a trusted home and my family member will be in the best of hands! There is no comparison to other assisted living facilities. 🙂

Let me start off saying I am very surprised to see such negative reviews for this facility! I was a private caregiver at Crescent place for 3 years and in that time this place was put on my list of top rated assisted living facilities. My client received superb care from the staff here. They went above and beyond to provide exceptional care for him and others as well. I witnessed the residents here being taking care of very well. Everyone was always so friendly and cheerful, always a joy to see the interaction. This is truly a resident-centered community. Also a very family oriented environment. I cant say anough about the staff here. They are fabulous! They treat everyone like family, with dignity and respect. I would recommend anyone looking for a place to care for their loved one to check this community out!
May 2020
I happened upon Crescent Place while looking for the facility across the street from this one. I was looking for a facility for my father. Hes presently at a facility an hour away and I really want to move him closer to my home in Cedar Hill. I was first greeted by Ms Frances, the receptionist at the front desk. She was very pleasant as she contacted Mr Robin, the gentleman who works with admissions. Mr. Robin was also very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about the facility. As we talked in his office, he asked many questions regarding what I was looking for, what my fathers personality was like, what his interest were and what his health and mental status was like. He even took notes as he listened attentively. Through our conversation he felt their Memory Care Unit would best suite my father,s needs, while I was optimistic about their Assisted Living Unit. Still, Mr. Robin did not knock my optimism but, as we toured the facility, he showed me Apartments in both units. I found the facility very clean and free of unpleasant odors. The rooms are will layed out and acceptable in size, at least for my father. The patients were all clean, happy, smiling, and engaging with one another. Because I asked about their Nurses, he introduced me to two of them, Ms. Latoya and another lady (both very nice). Though they were both having lunch, they took the time to ask me further questions and explained a little more about their facility, and their evaluation and admittance process. I was extremely impressed with the facility and the staff, so I submitted a check for the deposit. I was told that Ms. Latoya would evaluate my father at his present facility the next day, and true to their word, she did. The next day Mr Robin call me to say, because of my fathers health condition, their facility would not be a good fit for him, Assisted Living nor Memory Care. He could tell I was devastated and wanted to speak with the nurse who evaluate him. Ms Latoya called back immediately and again explained how because of my fathers particular health and mental conditions he would not do well at their facility. While being extremely honest, Ms Latoya was also very empathetic to my disappointment. She allowed me to ask the whys and what if questions. And she patiently and tactfully answered them, not demeaning myself nor my fathers mental and physical health condition. Though my father did not qualify for acceptance into Crescent Place, I am still greatful for the kind, patient and respectful way their staff deal with others. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others. After leaving there, I decided to cross the street and re-visit Crestview Court, a very bad decision. Please read my review on Crestview Court and why I would NOT recommend Crestview Court.
April 2020
This is the only online review I have ever written. It was important for myself and my family to acknowledge the exemplary care provided to my father at Crescent Place in Cedar Hill, Texas in the appx one year prior to his death due to complications from dementia. I know how difficult it was to care for him in the final stages as I had already done so myself for 3 years before it was necessary to move him there. How the staff at this facility manage to do this day after day with respect, patience, kindness, humor and love is amazing. The only issue I had was that they could use more staff, but that appears to be the balance the business side must maintain in order to offer their services at very reasonable prices. For detractors I would say try to understand what this place is within the context of the local market. It is much more affordable than anything in Dallas proper without a difference in the level of care provided.
March 2020
I highly recommend this place! I went in for a tour with the marketing guy and fell in love with the facility. He was very informative and played a huge part in helping me make the decision to move my love one in. The place was very nice and clean. The staff seemed to be very nice and caring towards the residents. Which is very important to me. I honestly believe this is going to be the perfect place for my Mom.

The staff and management have been very kind and caring. They were very helpful throughout the transition. Mother has been at Crescent Place sine June 2017 and is now extremely social and is even wearing makeup again. She loves the food and eats well. Three full meals and two snacks are provided, as well as coffee, tea, or other drinks always available in various places throughout the facility. There is also a store where she can get ice cream bars or other snacks. And of course she has a fridge in her room. If theyre serving something that she doesnt like, she can request a sandwich or a salad (shes never complained). We are very happy about this because we were concerned about her weight loss before she moved here. Most of the residents start going into the dining room about 45 minutes to an hour EARLY to visit with the others. The meals are a social event that Mother enjoys. This move is often difficult for all involved so I understand that some reviewers are unhappy. Sometimes its harder for the family, I think. Before Mother moved here she sat in the dark. She hated going to the Dr and wouldnt take her meds. She was lonely and as her condition worsened, she became afraid at times. This has been very good for her. She has friends around her daily. Someone is always close by if she gets scared. She eats well. She gets her meds as prescribed and her doctor even comes to her! She doesnt sit in front of a tv now. She walks around the place visiting and she seems happy.

My mother in law has had no issues at Crescent Place in the year she has been there. She enjoys it and has been well taken care of. The people are helpful, kind, and compassionate. One lady got a little testy with my MIL, but she was just pushing her to try to be as independent as she can be, which I fully support! The facility is always clean and does not have the usual smell of urine that most centers have.
August 2018
I've read the reviews posted here, on Google, and I'm completely shocked! My 93 year old mother found purpose, comfort, care and friends at Crescent Place. My husband and I visited at least 3 times a week and never did I see her unhappy or neglected. Crescent Place became her home and the people there, her extended family. The atmosphere is always lively and friendly and there are activities for the residents to enjoy. Mom enjoyed the daily games and weekly visits from local pastors and musicians. The facility was clean and Mom's room was large, bright and cheery. The nurses and director loved my mother and were so kind to her. They took pictures when I couldn't make a activity and always made sure I saw them. When my son got married, it was actually one of the receptionists that took the sweetest picture of her. I don't have enough words to tell how wonderful this facility is. When Mom was struggling in her last days, she was able to pass away in her own room at Crescent Place with her family surrounding her. As her family, we were surrounded with loving care and received support, prayers, kind words and so many hugs. This facility, the director, nurses and staff will forever be a huge part of my heart. In fact, I still visit mom's friends and I'm still loved on, every time I walked through the door. I highly recommend Crescent Place to anyone looking for quality, loving care for their loved one and a place that feels like home.
