Really good food and friendly employees. It feels home-like and quaint; not too big or small of a place for assisted living. I’d recommend it.

Donna leads a great staff that knows each and every resident. She demands the best care for new residents and residents that have been there for years. Very clean facility and well organized. Highly recommend for your housing needs.

I have had personal and business relationships with Brookdale Cedar Hill and the staff. They have always been very helpful and kind. I would recommend this facility to any family.

Brookdale Cedar Hill's rooms were very nice and the size was adequate. It's a little bit smaller than what my mom has now, but it could work. They have an activity room and they have Bingo. They also have a little bus that takes the residents on outings like out shopping or to dinner. They also have different games that they play on different days of the week. The dining area was very nice and there's a little snack bar area. They also have coffee available for the residents all day. They also have a fireplace in the sitting room. A lot of the residents were sitting and talking around it. The people I talked to were very nice. The residents really enjoy living there and they had high praise for the care they receive as well as for the staff there.

I was interested in Brookdale Cedar Hill. The rooms were nice and the people seemed friendly but I couldn't put her there because it required residents to be more independent than she was capable of being. It appeared clean and without smells when I was there. I seriously considered it, but I couldn’t put her in a place where she was living by herself without 24 hour supervision.

Brookdale Cedar Hill is in my neighborhood. The staff were very nice during my visit, everything was very clean and comfortable, and there were people visiting their relatives that live there. The woman that I spoke to was very nice and answered all my questions. The rooms were perfectly adequate, the bathrooms looked very safe, the closet looked very nice, and they all kind of had a view of the surroundings. The dining room was very nice, there were small tables, and there was one larger room which has like a family style table. The security seemed very good. I didn't have any issues with them.

Sterling House is nice and clean and is close to where we live. It looked like the best one to fit our purposes. The staff, for the most part, seemed pretty good. Sometimes they were understaffed. My father-in-law needed assistance, and a couple of times it took a long time for them to check on him. The dining room is spacious enough, and the food looks fine to me. His room is adequate. My father-in-law doesn’t want to participate in the activities, but they have Bingo, game nights, and movies.

I did like Sterling House of Cedar Hill. I also like the people that I spoke to thus we decided to put my mother-in-law there. The caregivers have been very sweet, kind, and compassionate. The rooms were not bad. You could have a choice wherein you could get a small or a larger one. We got a two-room apartment which got a separate sitting room from the living room. My mom-in-law is in a wheelchair so she does not get involved with many activities, but I know they have exercise programs, they have various people come in for spiritual thing. My mother-in-law has not been very happy with the food and she said sometimes it not identifiable food. She thinks probably they bring in already prepared food and they just heat it up. There was one time when she had an upset tummy and she asked for a soup in the kitchen but the caregiver said they didn't have any soup. The food does downgrade my rate for them somewhat and that is the reason why I would not recommend them strongly to somebody.
